AT&T took, the lost my trade in phones during a new promotion Jan 2021. Months of calling and all I get is well look into it? Now they deny even taking the trade ins in the store! $1600 loss to me and NOBODY will help. Naturally there isnt anyone corporate to talk to either. I guess my loss is their gain. Will NEVER come back once I can afford to pay off the $1600. Bad reception. Cant even send texts. ZERO customer care.

The service was great! I seen some other reviews that people are upset with wait times but I completely understand, we are in a pandemic and they are trying to remain and keep everyone safe! I had a great experience here and they helped me from start to finish and I left happy. Please be understanding....anywhere you go there are waits and this store is doing a great job helping their customers through challenging times!!

I Switched from T-Mobile to AT&T the staff was incredible. I came in the first time at opening and the young girl was very busy and she still managed to stop what she was doing to greet my family and I. We came back later and another young lady named Vanessa helped us switch over from T-Mobile once the other young girl who goes by X was free she came over and helped Vanessa get all of our information switch from our old phones. Both ladies we’re absolutely wonderful to work with. Thank you girls!

I called to find out availability on an IPhone and was told that they can’t give inventory information over the phone or she could lose her job. I told her I certainly hope I don’t drive there to find out there’s none available and she said if that’s the case, we can ship you one. I started to say something else and she hung up on me. I called back to ask for a manager and the same woman answered the phone and told me she is the manager. I told her I wanted her name so I can report her to the owner and she said it is Siemata, I’m sure I didn’t spell it right. She then said in a smug, sarcastic voice, you have a wonderful day sir. Do not shop at a place who treats their own customers like garbage. Att Cedar lake, Att crown point and Att merriville have excellent customer service and will help their customers over the phone.

The store hours posted online are not their actual store hours. Online it says the store is open till 8pm but on the door it says 6pm. I walked in at 5:50p and the store was empty, no staff anywhere. I stood there for a few minutes then left, it was obvious no one was going to start helping me 10 minutes to close but when I drove 25 miles to get there I was under the impression it closed at 8pm. Please update your page online.

The staff is rude and discriminatory toward people with mental disabilities. Allow me to explain in full detail. I am on the autism spectrum and in addition to social issues interacting with people, I have certain sensory issues. Things like hats or facial coverings like masks cause me to have panic attacks. This store would not serve me because I would not wear a face mask. The state has not made face mask coverings a mandatory thing. She wouldnt even listen to why I cant wear a mask, she called the Valparaiso Police instead, while laughing at me.

Customer service at this store is excellent. Ive had an opportunity to visit this store for various reasons and Ive had nothing but the best service every time. Most recently I asked to have a replacement screen protector - which i just received in the mail - installed. X did it without hesitation. They are always knowledgeable and courteous.

Great experience! The employees saw I was on a very old data plan and got me setup with a newer, larger, data plan for less money. And when I went in to get a new phone they had the phone I wanted, in stock, and had accessories to go with it. Everyone was super nice and helpful.

UPDATE: I didnt manage to get over to the Michigan City store so ended up going to the Portage store on the date previously specified earlier by the Valparaiso store. Bear in mind I was told both of the local stores were owned by the same franchisee. Well, the Portage rep informed me that they cannot/wont process my account request in any circumstance and that the Valparaiso representative gave me incorrect information.The bottom line is to avoid the franchise stores if you need an account change like mine. AT&T is not clear on this on their website.Previous: Apparently ATT has franchise (Valparaiso) and corporate owned stores which I was informed of after I went to this location to convert my existing ATT plan to an ATT prepaid plan. The ATT website only advised to go to an ATT store and showed Valparaiso as an option.The person who assisted me said because they are a franchise, I had to return on a specific date in order for this store to execute the conversion else I would need to travel to Michigan City where the nearest corporate store exists. I was told if I came to their store a day later than the specified date that they again could not assist.Finally, while it seemed her hands were possibly tied, the person who assisted me didnt show much concern for not being able to help and for ATTs ridiculous limitation that in my opinion is designed to complicate a conversion and extend the customers more expensive plan costs.

We purchased an IPhone XS on December 29, 2018. Not long after that we got a call from the AT&T retailer saying we qualified for a buy one get one promotion and to just come to the store. We went there and got our second phone. They told us that we have to pay for it the next three months and after the third month it should be refunded and we don’t have to pay for it after. Well after three months which would have been April as the second Phone got purchased in January 12, the bill for the phone still kept coming. We went back to the store to inquire and they said they’ll email their higher regional managers or something. We’ve been going back since then more than once a month until now which is almost August and they haven’t resolved the matter yet. We have talked to the manager who also still gives us the run-around and not giving us a definite answer. We are getting frustrated as it seems as nothing is done. This is like a $1000 mistake on their part and we should not have to pay for it. It’s unethical, it’s fraud and it’s not right.

I have been in the store a couple of times and the last time was with a man who told me I was a red flag. It was incredibly inappropriate in my opinion and left a very very sour taste in my mouth. I don’t know if that man still works there I don’t think he should. And I really really hope he was fired or lost his job.I then went to the Merrillville store which is an actual AT&T store. It is a corporate store.I have been to another corporate store in another city and experienced the exact same customer service level of detail and level of knowledge and professionalism at the Merrillville store.So this is a one off for AT&T. It is not in anyway represent my experience with the company. However I would recommend anyone and everyone to stay away from that facility and that’s exactly what it is a facility facility for sales people who are not trained in a manner consistent with AT&T standards. They used to be good. AT&T has really slide down hill. Ive been a cell phone customer of theirs from the beginning and probably longer than most of you reading this are.. Recently, I had a problem and they couldnt even fix it. I fixed it myself. And Im cell phone tech NO. Sad thing is that they really didnt seem to be interested. I even went into the Michigan City store. The man said hed be with me in five minutes. Twenty-five minutes later he sat down and never even said sorry. Ive had one glitch after another with their cell phone support service. The overall customer service has really been Yuk! Last person I spoke with called even me babe and honey. Wow! pretty outta touch.

Vanessa was incredibly helpful! After a two-day, torture-filled experience at Walmart, ( which saw my credit being run multiple times, lied to about promotions, new phone being cancelled, management trying to refund less than what I paid and lack of knowledge on accessories) I had just about given up on AT&T and was considering going back to telegraph and smoke signals to communicate...Vanessa took the time to listen, showed real empathy and stayed with me through the entire process. She went the extra mile by involving the Samsung representative, Everett and helped me to get more than I imagined possible!Excellent customer service, great communication and service with a smile, this location checks all my boxes for what I expect in a retailer

Worse customer service ever!! The worthless sales people were more concerned with the Winter Olympics then they were with helping any customers. I walked in with the intentions of signing up 3 phone lines but the lack of acknowledgement and unprofessionalism from the salesman made me decide to go across the street to Verizon and do business there. At Verizon they were all very friendly and more than helpful unlike the AT&T store who really didnt care about anything!!!! After todays experience I will never consider even giving AT&T a chance and will continue to go elsewhere when time is needed for new phone service

Went to the crown point store couple weeks ago and received bad customer service, came to the valpo store a few days ago & was pleased to be helped by such good help from Kay & the manager X. They went above and beyond to help me get a new phone and also showed me how much I can save by switching to DTV and will be switching over later within the year. If anyone comes in ask for Kay he does an exceptional job and will have you laughing 😂. Thanks for the laughs and great service buddy 👍!!!!!!

I went to the Valpo store to see what my options were to purchase a new phone for my husband and me. No one even acknowledged me walking in the door. It was not busy only two other people in the store. I walked around and looked phones and no one even said hello or that it would be a minute. After 10 min of walking around waiting for someone to help me I left. Im sure I made the employees happy they didnt have to wait on me.

My mother passed away in February. We went to this store 4 times to close her account. On the 4th trip we waited 30 minutes while they called customer service. When we left we were told the account was closed and a zero balance. Since then we have received 2 bills with late charge added. A letter was sent last month to them but still received another bill this week. I would never get a phone from them and will tell everyone I know too. Tired of being harassed.

Kaylon was the sales rep that took care of me today. He was absolutely amazing! Very professional and extremely knowledgeable of the store, phones, and packages offered. Im on a family plan and had to deal with my grandpa whos the account holder who also isnt the easiest of people to deal with and kaylon was awesome with helping us and laying out all of our options for us. 10 out of 10 for the valparaiso Atnt store, Ill definitely be back again thanks to the great help and excellent customer service Kaylon!

Store does not inform customers that they only sell GSM Band Iphones. With these phones you will not be able to go to other carriers. Regardless if it is unlocked. You have to purchase a IPhone from an Apple Store to get dual band phone. GSM or CDMA bands. This is a hardware issue and AT&T does this intentionally to scam customers.

Thiefs! My sons phone broke which he was in a pay as you go with his own phone, he paid his bill in cash and att would not refund his money for services he couldnt use! I think that people can make mistakes and people can unknowingly deliver poor customer service while traveling I arrived at the store this morning so that I could get a replacement AT&T phone when I went into the store I asked is this a corporate store the gentleman with black hair with a white patch in his hair said yes then I ask okay where are the phones I can buy outright he had no idea I went over to the wall that had the phones I said okay Id like to buy a phone oh Im sorry sir we dont sell phones here you have to go to Target or Best Buy and then bring your phone to hear after you purchase it from Target or Best Buy I looked questioning at the Mann and I said this is a corporate store he said yes this is a corporate store I said a corporate store I can purchase phones from or get a plan from he said were Prime Communications blah blah we are the corporate AT&T store again theres nothing worse than being dishonest there are corporate AT&T stores and theyre authorized retailers I pointed out that his shirt said authorized retailer he goes well where a corporate store again Shameless dont go to this AT&T authorized retailer they dont have a phone selection they cant sell you a phone and apparently they can only activate service along with being dishonest
