Very nice, chip shortages is effecting everything. So call if you have a certain phone in mind to see if in stocks. Otherwise they can order it. Employees wore masks witch was great.
I was added to my husbands family plan and Amanda was so helpful! She got us a great price and answered all of our million questions! We were there on a Saturday morning and helped right away as were many other customers that walked in after us. Thank you!
Quick and easy. Was able to switch carriers in less than 10 minutes. I switched from AT&T because there is better Verizon service in Valparaiso. The staff was very polite and helpful. They did not push to sell any more products or come off too strong.
The worst experience I’ve ever had! They made me wait for 1.5 hrs to tell me they don’t have the phones available ! The person that was helping me was more interested on who and when she was going on lunch than doing her job. Terrible experience and unprofessional . I was going to make a 6k purchase and they literally blew me off!!
The three stars are only given because the lady who assisted worked hard to help me out, and the manager had patience with unruly customers. I went in and was told it was a 45 min wait, 2.5 hours later I was finally heading out with knowing a phone is being shipped to me. The staff doesnt have the ability to override situations and that would have saved time and convenience. Again, 2.5 hours is a long time.
This store by far is amazing. Craig was who helped us and he went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. Ken the manager has always been right there as well to make sure your getting exactly what you came for.
Worst customer service ever! The employees were incredibly condescending. The “manager” even went so far as to tell me I would understand why they couldn’t fix my issue if I were a technical person….I have a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue. I don’t know what his degree is in, but it is most definitely NOT cell phones.I immediately went to the LaPorte location and was helped in 5 minutes.Save yourself the trouble and DON’T go to this location.
I wanted to start my own plan and get off of my parents. When I went in on a Saturday they lied to me saying that I couldn’t keep my phone number even though it was released to me. They lied and said that their call center to transfer phone numbers was closed on the weekends. I had to go through customer support on the phone who told me that they lied to me and ended up helping me over the phone rather than in the store. Overall experience in here was 2/10 only because after I got everything resolved over the phone that they said I couldn’t do because the call center wasn’t open then they were suddenly helpful and knew what they were doing. Terrible store do not recommend going here
Ken the manager was very nice and helpful. Was better then the guy who checked us in
Very long wait not enough employees but after we got serviced the guy was good could offer something for free or something for over 1 hour wait
A busy place, but as always very helpful getting my new phone up and running.
Julie was excellent. She got us great deals. Was patient with us when making our decisions. I was with my parents & they are in their 70s and very undecided on what they wanted. Explained things that I didnt know about my service. When I go back, I hope she is working!!
DO NOT go to this store.I had a flip phone I wanted repaired that I had to change the phone number on it due to my daughters boyfriends daughter that kept messing with the phoneIt is a phone that we use for my husbands mother that is elderly. It has been a simple dependable phone for her. We keep it for her because theyer new flip phones are junky. We already have Galaxy phones for us.The phone was working fine when I went to that store in fact I got a message that my plan has just been renewed yesterday. I went to THAT store just because I couldnt reactivate the phone after changing the number that the customer service at Verison told me too. When I told the associate all I needed, and he figured he couldnt get as much commission from me, he SKIPPED me in line for a customer that was AFTER me.Couldnt believe it. Plus the other associates were laughing, socializing, taking their time.............. .finally a female associate told me that the wait wouldnt be long ..............I told her I know they dont get comission for a flip phone repair, but I dont care what it costs, Ill pay 50.00.When the guy finally called me in line, he got on his computer, stopped my account with Verison, tried to claim my phone was a 3G and no longer working, and tried to sell me an upgrade.BS.I tried it that morning when I changed the phone number and what HE did was just shut my account down, because it was a flip phone.Plus customer service at Verison told me 2 weks ago flip phones work just fine, doesnt matter if theyer 3GsThen he told me to have a good day, after that lousy service.Trying to throw off their lousy customer service.I dont know his name, but he had reddish looking hair. Go to Merrillville. Run to Merrillville, as usual.
I give Randi the best upmost congrats on helping me with my new phone and Im still smiling. If I had my own business Randi would be hired. Randi gets a 10 on my scale. Keep up the Great Work!!!
It took over 2 hours. Arghhhhhhhh!
Employee not helpful at all. Very dissatisfied with Verizon
Can never talk to a person when you call. Always the menu. And then hangs up if you dont choose the correct prompt number.
Theyre fantastic! Always so helpful.
Had great customer service from Julie today - she was very helpful and informative.
I been experiencing technical difficulties & everytime I get a hold of a representative they hang up on me. I would have to restart the process all over to get hung up on. I’m definitely going with a different service this time around 😡👎
Ken was very helpful with the couple questions we had. Otherwise, we had an hour wait for the other staff members.
Great store for all your cell phone needs.Friendly staff, curbside pick up for online orders, due to covid.Quick and easy !
Glad to be a Verizon customer, but it seems like a brick and mortar Verizon store should be staffed and ready to give in-person help. Ive gone there, before COVID, seeking answers when I couldnt figure it out on the website. The system inside is almost as automated as the website. Itd be nice to have an end user support conversation with an expert when my question isnt one of those in a drop down menu.
Quick service and Young minds to fix my problem! Very impressed!!
Was judged by appearance upon entering building.
We came in for a phone upgrade, but as soon as we declined the insurance plan and accessories, the clerk became curt, condescending, and rude, suggesting that we should make our purchase via the app instead of in-store. I would suggest nobody go into this store. Shop on the My Verizon app instead or find another carrier.
Insane prices . Customer service was very poor . Even with an appt had to stand in line and wait . Why would anyone pay $800 for a phone ?? Crazy ...
We had to have some help with our bill and a wonderful manager named Kenny was kind and helpful with lots of patience with this grandma and grandpa who are not tech smart. That is why it is never to far to drive to Valparaiso to the Verizon store there from Michigan City. Thank you for good service been customers over 20 yrs.
Always very helpful and fast service,. They take precautions with the virus, very clean and friendly store
Came in one day and spoke with John. Very helpful. Resolved my issue and provided initial info regarding possible upgrade as I requested.Came back the next night with my husband with thoughts of upgrading. John had just left, however Amanda was so helpful and walked us through the process. She was very patient even though it was near closing time. Never did she or anyone else give any indication this was even a factor. Their focus was that things were set up properly and all our questions were answered.Tremendous service oriented staff.
Outstanding service. Thanks Amanda and the Verizon team!
Im upset with Verizon right now. My bottom speaker on my 10 month old Google pixel 3a went out so I never knew when anyone was calling or texting and no alarms so I called customer service, waited forever, only chat no phone contact during pandemic. Agent tells me phone is under warranty and they will replace free of charge but.... I have a tiny crack in screen so I would be charged for replacement... $500 even though phone was $300. Im sure techs could figure out crack has absolutely nothing to do with speaker and Im not trying to sneak one over on them. So basically paid $300 to use a phone for 1 year. Verizon has made a lot of money off me over the years. I could see if I had a past history of getting replacement phones but this is first time ever in like 30 years. You would think they would not assume Im trying to scam them. The speaker is defective. Seems like a common Pixel issue. Im not scamming and dont the insinuation. Maybe time to switch carriers... Xfinity might be better.
My 70 year old mother in law added a new line on her account and purchased a phone for me. she paid online and has been a valued customer for over 20 years. I went to the valpo location to pick up a 129 dollar phone, a LG phone. upon entering, I was greeted by John, the manager. I found out, at this location, you must show, the card you used for the purchase as well as photo ID. my mother in law purchased the phone, Nowhere on the confirmation email does it say, she has to go in and bring her credit card. she tried to add me as an authorized user, couldnt do it, she added my wife, wasnt good enough. my wife now needed my mother in laws credit card supposedly. we did all this over the phone with my mother in law, directly in front of john the manager, on speaker phone so he could hear. We even asked him to call my mother in law on her phone number associated the account to verify. he refused, my mother in law was angry and frustrated at this point as we all were. so now, at night, during a rain storm, my 70 year old mother in law has to get in her car, and drive 45 mins from Griffith to Valpo just to show her card and ID. Sad thing is, my brother in law lives in Chicago and at least 3 times this year, my mother in law ordered a new phone through Verizon for him, ALL of the associates he dealt with at each store, called my mother in law, on her cell phone number that is ASSOCIATED with the account, they spoke with her, asked if she wanted her son to be an authorized representative to pick up the phone. NO PROBLEMS. We all felt like criminals thanks to John the manager. account protection is important, but Im sorry, any other store, and I have been to multiple locations (orland, frankfort, chicago), would not have made us go through all of this. In my honest opinion, it was discrimination and prejudice, PERIOD. Thank God for Ken, he was an employee, that empathized with our situation, apologized, even gave my mother a 20 dollar credit to her account. ken saved the store from an unpleasant interaction with me, my wife, and mother in law. My suggestion, honestly, if you are black, find another location, or bring a social security card, urine sample, ID, and birth certificate, and MAYBE youll get your items. Never had any problems with Verizon and the same type of transactions until I went to this location. Wish I could choose zero stars honestly.
My husband and I stopped by the store and waited outside as instructed. A person came out and took our information and asked what were there for. We explained that we both wanted a new table and new phone. She told us that we could not go in together one of us could go in a time. She was very rude and condesending. I can understand them limiting amount of customers but really a husband and wife cannot go in together. As I was talking to her she just walked back in the store. I guess Verizon no longer wants our business we went over to AT & T and they let us both in store and we purchased new phones and tablets. STAY AWAY SINCE THEY APPARENTLY DO NOT WANT YOUR BUSINESS
Great services an great people to work with
Very clean and very friendly.
Very friendly Associates and during these trying times they keep their attitude good and theyre very helpful
The staff was very friendly and informative to me on discounts for nurses and family plans ! Thank you Verizon
This is by far the worst Verizon store that Ive ever been to. After going to this store Im almost ready to take all my lines and service to T-Mobile. And Ive been with Verizon for almost 20 years.
Very impressed with julie. Excellent customer service. Shes waited on me before and was very attentive with a positive attitude
Every single time I go to this location I have to sit there for 45+ minutes just to talk to someone. There’s two employees on the floor and another 2-3 in the back doing god knows what (not helping customers). They need someone that helps customers with simple issues. It’s ridiculous that I have to wait almost an hour, sometimes longer when my issue takes five minutes of their time.I’ve been to the Merrillville store several times and never have to wait as long.
Was greeted immediately and waited on promptly, great customer service! Grant answered all my questions and took great care of me Would always recommend this location.
Said they open at 9am Monday. Went to the facility at 9am to see a sign that said they open at 10am. While waiting for over an hour, a guy that was waiting outside talked to one of the employees that opened the door for a brief second and said they open at 11am. I waited outside for over 15 minutes after 11am. It is currently 11:30am at the time of writing this. Inside you can hear the employees laughing and fake coughing ( during the COVID- 19 epidemic ) not professional at all.
Got what I needed, no fuss, no muss. Screen cover was damaged and it was quick and simple and the tech made sure it was firmly replaced before I left. 15 minutes?
Drew is a very knowledgeable employee. Helped me exchange and setup my new phone. Would highly recommend him if you need any help with your phone problems.
Julie is absolutely amazing she helped me tame care of everything an was fast will definitely be getting her a thank u card
They took 3 hours looking at my phone and the only thing they could come up with is that I needed to do a factory reset and lose all my information that the phone had that was not backed upLets all change carriers for 6 months Verizon will have to start giving customer service again and probably have to lower their rates to get people backThey do have the best coverage for our area and they are being nazis about it
Honest
I love this store. Ever since I left Sprint and came to Verizon, I couldnt be more happier. The Techs have decent knowledge in the products they offer. Theyve always helped me when I requested needed assistance.Thank you Verizon!
Always great service
Clerk was quick to assist, took care of business of getting me a new charger. Efficient but no personality.
So tired if being told one thing on line or over phone and different story once I get there. Truly frustrating. Been a loyal customer for 12 years and ready to move on to greener pastures.
The parking is terrible. The interior is the nicest of the major carriers. The staff is generally nice and easy to talk to if you arent in a long queue where they are obviously trying to service you and push you through. So its a hit and miss. Make more parking available and hire a couple more people at peak times during the week to alleviate the waiting game and your rating will improve.
Horribly slow and mismanaged. If a customer has to wait over an hour to discuss changing a plan and there are several workers there doing close to nothing, thats unacceptable.
Not much help
Craig was very helpful with my problem with my phone.
Very helpful staff and they dont try to over sell you ITEMS. I feel that its ALWAYS best to go to corporate stores and they treat Veterans well they give you a 40 dollar discount on your bill monthly
This store needs to retrain the employees on customer service standards. The staff is very rude, unprofessional, and ignorant. According to the store, they cannot accept trade in phones, however the Verizon corporate line states that there is no reason they cannot accept them. They just don’t want to do the extra work of handling trade ins when they are able to and actually required by Verizon to take them. Overall very rude staff.
Great experience! On Dec 28th I went into storean inquired about setting up 4 lines. A sales associate named Viviana helped us with our questions. I was very apprehensive about switching and weary about monthly bill. She went over products and explained the best plans that would accommodate me and my family. I set up 5 lines and we are very happy with our phones and the service that we received. Great relief to finally have service with a company that truly seems to care about their customers.
Grant helped us with a new phone, I am very pleased!
The employee complained about micro soft product, I can not help that my company uses Microsoft, I left with my phone in worse shape than when I entered. I returned later and found he was salesman not a tech.maybe he should have told that in the beginning.plus he did not know where Fed X is located. Well fed x is just a few doors down from where he works. The guy on my second visit assured me he would work with the first gentleman. May I suggest your staff introduce themselves as salesman. So customers have the proper expectations s.
They could help me when I was not able to get help in the Michigan City Verizon store
Customer for years. Some of the affordable phones were only available new customers. Ill go to another company.
Always friendly and knowledgeable, been with Verizon for 20+ years
About 2 weeks ago I was going to upgrade my phone, I decided to stop by and get a new one.First I was greeted by a girl, cant remember her name right now, I explained her my wish, she asked my name and phone number, she requested my license which I had it in other car. She denied me service immediately, she was not willing to give me other way to ID myself for my account, she didnt even acceptmy PIN!. This is not the first time like this, it happened before when I upgraded my last phone, and it seems that happens frequently in your store. lt happened to Laura Eenigenburg ten months ago (Verizon customer who made a bad review of your store). Its a shame that a Verizon store which is a corporate office can treat customers this way.I have upgraded my phone a week ago in Michigan City, I will never come back to your store and Ill share this post to friends and family.By the way Michigan City store just requested my PIN number to make my transaction, very attended, knowledgeable and nice staff!
Prompt/friendly service. They answer your questions and dont push you too buy something you dont want/need.
This is a corporate store. The staff is very helpful and there are a lot they can do for you. Good location and hours.
Great service here. Strangely busy actually! But they got me taken care of quickly and the help was nice.
Great Verizon Corporate Store... Only one Ill go to! Ofcourse Verizon accessories are a bit expensive in general but this Verizon location is top notch. Helpful staff and short wait times.
Far from the best experience. The sales rep we worked with, John, could not understand that we did not want a smartphone. We were there to get a simple flip phone. He kept insisting you will not be able to do things like texting, Instagram, and other things. When we insisted, he went into the back room and looked for one and came out saying he had none but he could get one from another store in one or two days. When we told him that would be fine he again disappears into the back apparently to contact another store, but he comes back with one. Next comes the time to choose a phone number we were looking for a specific town and we chose one but the next thing you know we had a different town. Then he really starts pushing insurance, warning us in no uncertain terms that if we lose or break the phone we will be responsible for not only replacing the phone but also buying a new one, that made no sense as it sounded like we would end up having to pay for two phones! Finally he hands us the box and has me sign a receipt and sent us on our way! No pulling out the phone, no showing us how it works, no making sure that we were 100% satisfied. Yes a much less than perfect experience.
Definitely not what the used to be. I went in for a sim card & was asked for i.d. and treated like they didnt want to do anything for me. No wonder people buy phone plans online & from Walmart.
Very nice customer service lady-sales rep named Kelly helped me and my grandson with his cell for graduationAnd she was very knowledgeable as well as friendly and our purchase was smooth.
Went in because my phone will only charge by wireless charger, plug in is worn out so I wanted to buy another wireless charger, sales guy would only try to sell me a new phone. I went to Best buy and got exactly what I wanted for alot less then a new $800 phone he insisted I buy
Good place to go. Very helpful staff.
Staff was extremely helpful and friendly; took time to answer my questions and find a solution 😀
I was here to talk about calling and data plans, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable, but other than that, i really dont know anything more about this place, sorry
The associates are always so helpful. I love their client services.
Ive been a customer for over 10 years and usually I get excellent customer service. Today I went to try to activate a phone, they couldn’t answer the question I was asking and added $150 to my current phone bill for stuff I did NOT need. Ridiculous
Love this store our rep Blake is always helpful and knowledgeable
Helpful
This stores tech support is not what it used to be! Save yourself the gas and time and call Verizons tech support number directly first then taking it from there. My husband and I have both stopped in for help 3 different times and they have said there was nothing they could do; their solutions were handing us a coupon to I fix it, suggesting to pay off contact phone and purchase a new costing hundreds of dollars or referring us to contact phone manufacturer. Every time went across to Best Buy and ended up with solutions all 3 times that were immediate and cheaper than this store, one was simply Best Buy calling Verizon tech support and working through it with them fixing the issue; store should have done this and not wasted others time, another was purchasing a wireless charger to correct Port charging issue(obvious fix, youd think, this was the coupon offer to ifix it lol) and most expensive fix was buying a hundred dollar unlocked phone and switching the SIM. None of those did this Verizon store suggest as options the later being somewhat understandable, probably against policy, although Id bet it had more to do with lack of knowledge than policy.
Service was fast and very helpful.
Sort of torn. Use to be you went into store and they tried to upsell you on everything, now they hand you phone and sometimes have to activate it yourself. May just start shipping phone to home and save on gas.
Love my phone BUT the wait is way too long to even ask a question!!!!!!!! My husband SAID ELEVENTH in love recently... Needless to say.. He DIDNT wait,!!
The gentleman I had was the best. He brought back to what service really is. Thank you.
Im very happy to Be a long time customer of Verizon! They all have been and still R the Most and more...🙆🙆
Pass. Had issues with two contracts where staff had bold face lied to me about prices. They are in for the commission not the customer. Sorry but true
Bobby and the young girl k? They were amazingly polite and very helpful. 🤗😊
Very helpful staff. Friendly as well. Great store
Very helpful staff. I had to get a completely new phone and they had me in and out within 20 minutes.
People ready and willing to help you
Best service in the area people where very nice, they work commission but dont pressure u into high bills
Awesome store with very knowledgeable employees.
Resolved my issue very quickly
Great service! Had to exchange a fault charger; in and out quickly!
Pixel on displays screens burned in image should have tipped me off. They have TWO benches in the entire store to sit in.A certain manager there became extremely aggressive and rude after I returned some items. Which is ridiculous because they charge a restocking fee and advertise a return policy on the receipt!! These people work on commission, so theyll take it personally if you do take something back.Better off ordering online and avoiding the shenanigans of this sad, sad store.
They were attentive and the store was very up to date.
The service was fast, staff was helpful, overall good experience.
Great staff... Excellent service
Excellent outcome.....congrats to Grant....be sure and let him know!!!
