If it needs something but can wait a bit he tells you. If needs to be done asap he tells you. Carlos is EXTREMELY knowledgeable. I trust his judgment 110%.

When I found that both brake lights were out I was eager to get that fixed pronto. I called at 8 a.m. and was given my choice of appointments that day. It took very little time and I opted to have a wheel alignment at the same time. Waiting at Checkered Flag is perfectly comfortable so thats never a problem either. Well done!

Not good, I just purchase the car Friday, 2021 Toyota Camry, with 25 miles on it, while reviewing the features with the salesman, the left rear tire low air sensor light pops on, this is after the car had been service, however maintenance folks gone, so sales said just air it up, you are good . Ok !! Sat morning it low again, went out of town, Monday low air again, so I call Checker Flag service, gave her the background, she said bring it now, we will take care of you. upon arrival, pulled in service area told the rep what was going on, He ask me was this a new car, yes its new i replied, he walks in front and looks at the plates, I dont like 30 day tags, I TRF my old tags to the new car, simple right, I told him what was going on, he said I needed to drop off the car it was too late 4:35 pm, for them to fix / or change the tire . I said no its not, its not, I need this done now . He went and got the Manger, I gave him the back ground, they took the car in, 10 minutes later, a lady came out and said we found a nail in the tire that long, how long that long, we dont know how it got in the tire, so we will charge you, no you are not, I said .your sales people didnt take care of this issue Friday, so I had to go over to sales and get the guy who sold the car, to come and talk to the manager in service, they have a Three day tryout, I consider it . Crazy .

This place is amazing! The pricing for the maintenance I received was great and the customer service was impeccable!! And I really must single out Carlos Polanco who was absolutely amazing to work with. This dealership is lucky to have him representing their brand with such professionalism and integrity. I am a customer for life!

I HAD PROBLEM WITH THE BRAKES, WE CALLED TO SET UP THE APPOINTMENT, STEPHANIE PROMISED LOANER CAR, WHEN WE REACHED AT THE DEALER, SHE TOLD US FLATLEY THAT LOANER IS NOT AVAILABLE. SO WE END UP RENTING CAR FROM HER. WE TOLD HER ABOUT THE ISSUE OF BRAKES, SHE TOLD US TO FIX THE BRAKE WE NEED TO CHANGE EVERYTHING IN THE BRAKE SYSTEM WHICH WILL COST US 1800.00. SO WE AGREED AND I APPROVED THE QUOTE, AFTER 6 DAYS WHEN MY WIFE PICKED UP THE CAR, MY WIFE CALLED ME THAT BRAKES WASNT FIX, SO I WENT FOR DRIVE AND IT WAS SAME PROBLEM, YOU HAVE TO PUSH THE BRAKE PADDLE ALL THE WAY TO FLOOR TO STOP THE CAR, 80% IS FREE PADDLE, SO I CALLED STEPHANIE THAT BRAKES ARE NOT FIXED, SO NEXT DAY I TOOK CAR TO SERVICE, THEY LOOKED AT IT AND KEPT CAR FOR 6 HRS, BUT THE BRAKES WASNT FIXED.INSTEAD OF 1800, I END UP PAYING OVER 2500. BUT THE BRAKE IS NOT FIXED.PLEASE FIX MY BRAKES OR GIVE US FULL REFUNDS.PLEASE HAVE ONE OF YOUR FRONT OFFICE STAFF TAKE IT FOR TEST DRIVE AND ASK HIM ABOUT THE BRAKES LATER.

I go here for service and inspections, despite never buying a vehicle here. I was taught as a teenager to never go to a brand dealership for service unless you have a warranty with them. Theyve always provided very quick, professional service, and have the fastest turnaround for inspections Ive seen. Their service costs are fair and reasonable.I have no experience with their dealership to recommend however.

I really appreciate the assistance from Michaela Reardon getting an appointment. I live a ways from the dealership and she set me up first thing in the morning so I could make a later appointment that same day. Awesome help.Also, my service advisor (Keisha King ) kept me informed during the entire process. Very personable and incredible person to work with. Took care of my automotive needs and made sure all was ready for me to make my late afternoon appointment. Checkered Flag makes the inspection required by our state painless. In addition, they changed my oil, rotated my tires, and washed and vacuumed my car in about 4 hours. It was a pleasant, efficient, and professional experience from the moment I drove up until the moment I drove away. And, in between, they kept me updated with a text and phone call.

I’ve only had my car serviced by the Checkered Flag Toyota service center in Virginia Beach Blvd. since I’ve owned my vehicle. They have always been professional, provided quality service, offered fair pricing for all their repairs, made recommendations but never forced unnecessary repairs, and have a comfortable waiting area with amenities. Also, if you’re in need of a great service advisor then I suggest Malik Carson. He’s been my go-to-advisor from the start. Over the years he’s always provided excellent customer service and makes the entire process pain free. He’s not pushy, he’s informative and he builds good rapport.

They always do an amazing job and they have great customer service. The only reason I didn’t rate 5 stars was the service I went in for went up 33% in cost in two years, from $200 to $300, and the labor was someone using a machine to re-program a key and fob. Also, this was $50 more than the amount I was given as an estimate. I know estimates aren’t guarantees in price, but a 20% price increase over the estimate also seems high. The part did not increase much in cost in that time, but the labor was half of my total invoice amount. A 33% total increase just seems a bit unreasonable in two years. I’ve been a loyal Checkered Flag service customer for more than a decade, but it’s the little things like this that make me consider shopping around for services in the future. A representative said they would pull a call recording to hear the conversation with the estimate, so if that actually happens and anything changes, I’ll update this.

Always given professional and timely service. Even as a mechanic theres certain things I prefer Toyota does on my car. Well worth taking it to checkered flag for the transmission service on my 2014 camry. I will be buying another brand new Toyota from checkered flag one day.

Michele Halstead is, without a doubt, the most personable customer service representative I have ever interacted with in my entire life. I wish my vocabulary was strong enough to adequately portray just how much of an asset Michele is to Checkered Flag Toyota. However, even if I had a masters degree in English I would probably still would fall short to express how much of a pleasure it is to interact with Mrs. Halstead. She should be a shining example for this company, and honestly all companies, of how to interact with your customers.

Alex Suarez was my sales rep and he was great! He arranged for a dealer swap for the vehicle I wanted, and he kept me updated on the status and the location of the vehicle as it moved from the factory to the dealership. He got all the accessories that I wanted and the vehicle was ready for me when I arrived at the dealership. I would definitely use Alex again!

Very terrible experience and will be taking my business to Charles Barker Toyota, instead. The service advisor Stephanie confidently lied to me but was caught. My truck sat in the parking yard for 2 hrs and she told me that it was still being worked on and it completely wasnt. I know this because I sat back there with my truck- dont believe me? Check your cameras. A simple front TRD Sway Bar and Windo fixture took about four hours! I could of done it myself but the truck is still under warranty. Thanks for nothing Checkered Flag but waisting my time.

Dropped my car off for a state inspection at my schedule time 11:15am on March 4, 2020. I asked the advisor how long the it would take for the state inspection, she stated “2-3 hours” so I decided to take the shuttle to my parents house who only live about 5 mins away to wait it out. 2:15pm rolls around, I sent a text to the advisor and she stated that “the car was in the shop right now” then I request a ETA on when my car was going to be finished, no response. 3:15pm rolls around call the advisor, no answer so I left a message and then I sent a text stating “my expectation was that the car would be done by now” 4 mins later she finally texted me back the car was done. My dad drove me back to Toyota, only for me to wait for the advisor who wasn’t in here office and a young man paged her. I waited at least 10 mins before the young man who paged he saw I was still waiting and took the initiative to ask if I was picking up my car, got my name and my paperwork and gave it to another advisor to process me out. This young man was also the same person who checked me in that day, he was THE ONLY person who actually seem to care. (I wish I would have got his name, I apologize. Y’all African American young man) The advisor who checked my out, asked me how my day was and I told him that I dropped my car at 11:15am and was just not getting it back around 3:45pm and he was like 11:15?!?! NO APOLOGIES from any one !!!! I brought the car for this dealership so my state inspection was free. Honestly, I would happy to pay for the darn state inspection so I don’t have to wait close to FIVE HOURS for it to be completed. Free state inspections means waiting 5 hours for it to be done, no thanks, I’ll take it somewhere else, pay for it, and go about my dad in less then an hour. HORRIBLE SERVICE!

Was not impressed, I bought my 1st yoda ever about a yr ago.Had brought my 07 pick up in for an issue, was told there was a frame recall that was never dealt with, and Toyota would not allow the truck off the lot. it is that bad they said. I no sooner got home and they called and wanted me to come back for a conversation. When I got there, they wanted to quote me $2800. for parts that were rotted out. I said no, I will buy what needs to be fixed when I get the truck back and do the work myself.Then they tell me its going to be here through the summer because they have to wait for the frame from the factory. I asked about a comparable vehicle to loan, I have to be able to tow. They said they have nothing at this time, we will get you something ASAP. Well, 5 WEEKs later they call and tell me they have a brand new pickup I can use till my truck is ready. I get there to pick up the loaner and they said they need to go out with me to do a pre-rental insp. I said, no need there WILL be scratches on it as if it were mine doing the work mine would have been doing.... There was no mention of the status of the frame at this time. I got a call a week later saying my truck was done. uh-huh...After I got it back, almost all the parts they tried to get me to pay for were replaced. So they knew this was going to happen and tried to pre-emptive strike, and soak me for the money. Wont buy another toyota, and will not take this one here again.Something to be said for soooo many 1 start star reviews... Just sayin.

I needed repair for a recall for airbag. They required an overnight and out of pocket for rental. No credit for buying the Toyota from Checkered flag few years back.
