Love Dr Gerdes! Hes got a great bedside manner. So friendly doesnt seemed rushed and sincerely converses with you and seems to care about your health. He also knows his stuff! Talked about my kids needing eye exams and he very patiently explained most kids dont need exams until theyre older so not just trying to get patients either. His staff is very friendly as well.

They are really nice and reasonable. I got my glasses pretty fast.

Great place to go for your optical needs. My wife and I have been seeing Dr. Gerdes for many years. We always get great treatment for any eye issues we have had and exams for our glasses. Large selection of frames and quick turn around time after you select them.

Dr. Gerdes is the only optometrist that can get my prescription correct. He and office staff are warm, friendly and efficient! He requires masks in his office even for vaccinated clients. Thank you Dr. Gerdes for caring about your patients and staff!

These folks went above and beyond to make sure that my daughter had glasses in the same day!!!! She blind without them, and I called literally 15 other places in Waco before I found these folks. Amazing people to do business with. I would give them 10 stars if I could. They have also been a family business for almost 100 years, and they still have not forgot to take care of you. Just amazing!!!!

I made an appointment for July 16, and I considerately cleared my afternoon calendar and showed early because I knew that there would be paperwork. Upon arrival, I was told by one receptionist that the doctor was on schedule; however, when I asked a different receptionist why I was still waiting approximately a quarter hour later, she gave me a different story as she said that the doctor was behind schedule and had been for a while in fact. Could the first check-in receptionist not have been honest and shared this with me thus avoiding any frustrations on my part as I continued waiting in the lobby? Could someone just have been honest with me and said that the doctor was behind schedule when I arrived rather than give me a pseudo impression that he as on schedule? I expressed my thought that receiving a call/text would have been appreciated rather than sitting in a waiting room for almost half an hour, before any part of the exam was given, but it was not. As I mentioned, my appointment was confirmed for 3:30. Someone walked in with a 3:45ish appointment and was actually seen before me! The examination process finally began close to 4:00 when I was taken to a room for a quick eye test by a receptionist and then relocated to the actual examination room where I was left waiting for the doctor and told that he would be right in - he was not. It was approximately 4:10, 40 minutes after my confirmed scheduled appointment, that I was still waiting for him for the exam to begin. As I just sat alone in the examination room, I anticipated that easily an hour could have passed and the eye exam still not completed, but I left the room and walked down the hallway to the front desk where I cancelled the days exam. A receptionist actually asked me for a good date to reschedule. Really? This is not the customer service that I give or want, so I took my business elsewhere.

My glasses wouldnt close and one side was digging into the back my ear. They asked me if I bought them there and I told them no. They fixed them at no charge. When I need an eye exam Ill definitely go there.

Was referred here by a good friend, and let me just say I had a 10+ experience. Doctor Gerdes was very personable and the nice ladies at the front were too! On top of that I found 3-4 frames that I just fell in love with! I’m talking designer frames for a reasonable and fair price! Can’t wait to come back next year! Eye Fashion Optical was so amazing. Everyone there was so helpful and made the experience less frustrating and more peaceful and reassuring. I had tried going to two other places in Waco and they were extremely rude, so Eye Fashion was a pleasant surprise after what I had been experiencing. Dr.Gerdes is so kind, funny, and explains as much as you ask him too. Never once did they make me feel like an inconvience, even when I took forever to pick out my glasses. Eye fashion optical of Waco. Dr.Gerdes and his staff are amazing. Me and my daughter went in November and they treated us like we were family and the doctor was the best that I have ever been too and my daughter loved him and the ladys in the office was amazing also they walked me and my daughter thur the whole process and found the glasses that are perfect for us. In December my wife went and Dr.Gerdes found out what going on with her eye on the first visit and the whole staff is amazing. We love our eye doctor and his staff. We very strongly recommend eye fashion optical. Also when you go in it is the same doctor and staff year after year

I went here a while back and i always had very bad eye sight im probably technically considered legally blind. So everytime i get new glasses i have to get them ordered and specially designed usually they are in town bwtween a week or two. So the day i went to pick them up i was feeling great to get new glasses. I tried them on and they fit perfectly. But like i mentioned before i have bad eye sight so the lenses were a bit thick i didnt mind i was just happy to be able to see clear next thing you know the woman behind the desk and the woman that was assisting me began laughing in my face. It was so damn humiliating. I got out of there as soon as i possibly could and im not gonna lie it hurt my feelings how shallow these women were to me i cried. I will never visit them again. No one deserves to be treated so poorly!
