Ive been here a few times to get my keys copied, but my last visit really made an impression on me. Every staff associate I encountered asked if I needed help or assistance. This particular Ace is also really huge and they have such a beautiful selection of plants and things for your garden. I will definitely be back!

The employees here are very well trained and know their stuff. They have a lot of stuff not found in the box stores. Their screen service is amazing and reasonably priced. Quick turn around too.

Ive been to at least 25 Ace stores over the years. The stores were in 7 states, but most were in California. Of all the stores, this one has the most helpful and honest (if they dont know something, they say they dont know) employees. During the week, there is usually very knowledgeable nurseryman, originally from Germany I believe, that has always been very helpful.This is my goto hardware store unless I know what I want is something they dont carry.

This is a really cool Ace Hardware in that they have all sorts of cool and obscure things that other places dont have, but are still useful. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the majority that I spoke to definitely knew their respective departments. The ones drawback is that the prices seemed a bit high. All in all I would highly recommend this place though, the location is convenient as well.

Expensive with less selection than big box stores but ostensibly better service. Bought $25 worth of items at Ace in Alamo and Ace Walnut Creek refused to accept the return. This isn’t better service. No mention of return policy on any receipt— too lazy to facilitate a return at a store less than 5 miles away. At least you get better prices at Home Depot.

I needed an unusual fastener and Bobby really listened to my problem, drew a picture on his pad of how it works, and then took me right to it. Ace really is the place with the helpful hardware man! Strongly recommend!

Excellent Ace. Very friendly employees. Huge store. Well deserving of Aces Coolest Hardware Store title. Also, theres a little train that runs on a track around the store.

A whole warehouse of valuable products! The staff is also happy to lend a hand with finding what youre looking for!

Pretty busy with lines waiting at checkout. We wanted to look and grab some gardening tools. Staff we approached was helpful. Prices on some items are high than bigger store but you do not have to hunt employees down. Overall experience was 👍. Aisles were clean and organized as well.

Hands down far superior to Ace in Lafayette. Plenty of knowledgeable staff opposed to Lafayette Ace.

Only been a couple times, but staff are very friendly and helpful. There is also a toy train that runs along overhead that is really well done, even a rope you can pull to make the train horn (a kid could have fun in here). Of course as a hardware store it has most items you need.

I LOVE this store. Kevin, the owner, always has the best staff and crew. Everyone who works at this store is friendly, kind, helpful, and seems glad to be there. I talked to one employee who has a full-time job and works weekends because he loves being there. If one person cannot solve your problem, they will find someone who can.

Its a small hardware store, but its well stocked with a surprisingly eclectic collection of usually anything you need. Easier to get help if needed than it is at Lowes or Home Depot.

A lovely quintessential small town hardware store with a large variety of household items & services (BBQs, paint, tools, landscaping supplies), very friendly vibe, super neat gadgets, a friendly staff, and now KITCHEN KNIFE SHARPENING! WOO HOO!

Went there for weed wacker string but didnt have the one they said they had was disappointed didnt even know there was an ace close by I usually go to the other place on the other side if town great to know theres one closer still overpriced but all hardware stores are dont have as much as the other competitors but it will do. Spent 61.00 on a roll of red duct tape 1qt.of oil 1 roll of weed eater string 1key for truck no chip.and 1 very small can of antiseize that gives you idea how expensive this place is.

Its a small location but neat and clean with a friendly staff. It has all the general items youd expect in a hardware store, but they also have a couple housewares aisles, which makes it convenient in a pinch. They have a nice nursery as well. Parking lot is tight, and limited, but someone is usually pulling out. I miss OSH, but this option is good too.

It was my first visit to this Ace... and it is the cutest. Staff is friendly and they have tons of cute useful odds and ends with a great selection of products. Definitely will go back.

This is my favorite Ace Hardware location because they have hardware stuff, plants and great gifts and household items.

Petty Full Inventory and Selection of Products Compared to other Ace Hardware stores.However I feel like Ace Over Prices by at least 15% on most items & up to 25% on some Products.Example Like $65. & $85. for a Small Tiny Christmas Tree. Talk about Price Gouging!!!However they have Good Coupon/Sale items and Great prices on Christmas Lights LED.

I’ve shopped at this Ace exclusively for the last few years. Today I went in to complete a simple return and was hassled over a $5 piece of sandpaper, which I thought was strange and annoying. I had a receipt for 3 other small items, which were returned and refunded without issue. But I couldn’t find the receipt for the sandpaper. The cashier looked up my name and the date range of my purchase and then told me the store hadn’t sold one since January and it wasn’t sold to me. She suggested I was mistaken about where or when I bought it. After some back and forth, I asked her if she was unwilling to accept my return and she somewhat begrudgingly offered store credit (which is all I wanted in the first place). I found it to be a very weird approach for the cashier to make such a scene over a $5 item that was Ace Hardware brand, instead of taking my word for it and offering store credit right off the bat, especially since Ive spent a lot of money in that store, including a recent purchase of a Stihl chainsaw.

One of the biggest ace hardwares Ive been to. Great selection of products and helpful staff. I especially liked the bbq selection which is incredible. Parking seems a little tight but not to bad. I wish this one was a little closer to me

Nicest, cleanest, best neighborhood hardware store around. Their popularity is constrained only by their parking lot, which can get tight mid-day on a Saturday. Shop off-hours if you can. And dont miss the model trains running overhead.

Simply put, there is no better local hardware store. From the broad selection of products in all departments, and some extras, to the friendly and helpful staff, it is a hardware store you would only expect to see in a movie. My daughter loves the train overhead, and considers shopping for hardware to be fun, as long as it is Walnut Creek Ace Hardware!

Tried to return an unopened item. I couldn’t find the receipt but it was a brand new, unopened Ace product which they CURRENTLY had in stock to sell at this location. The manager, Sonia, told me it’s the policy so there’s nothing she can do. I spend a lot of money in here but I’ll never come back. Horrible cookie cutter customer service.

Great store! I missed Bills Ace Hardware in Pleasant Hill. I had to come here for a unique lightbulb, and of course, they had in stock. It is like the nostalgic neighborhood hardware store (former Eames Hardware) that had friendly employees who gave good advice about any repairs or products you need. Try getting from a Home Depot employee who ignore you or are not capable of giving advice.

I love how small and simple it is to find everything quickly here. Everything you need in a small package plus a train 🚂 . Staff is pretty friendly as well.

I’m used to an Ace that is also a feed store, or a tractor store, having lived rural for the past 2 decades in Oregon. I’m a native CA though, and all my friends said this Ace was overpriced and crowded. Once I realized it carries just what THIS community will buy and does the extras with charm, I enjoyed every trip, it is just around the corner. Always has what we need in this suburban neighborhood, and many charming domestic items and small whimsical gifts to occupy those not looking for the 2.34 wrench thingy. Also able to cut pipe etc when our horses and donkeys need extra non-suburban support.

I love this Ace Hardware they have a outstanding Room for all things barbecue and patio furniture wise. I was also greeted by this very nice Ace Hardware man that I ended up talking to outside for a few minutes before I entered store.Oh yeah an thay had what I needed.

Super helpful people, and the place is just the right size to have most of what you want. I am a big fan, mostly because I hate the big boxes, and all the wandering around aimlessly. This place hits the sweet spot.Edit: Just went in on weekend and worked with a Bobby (Bob?) a trainee to help get a dishwasher rack fixed. Was incredibly helpful, friendly and would not give up until we figured it out.
