Had a brake caliper freeze up on our way home from the Adirondacks. Stopped at the Monroe in Watertown late on a Sunday afternoon and they took care of it in about an hour. Surprised and happy it went so quickly. Nice to have a lifetime warranty from Monroe as well

Went and got a new muffler put on my truck. Steve and Travis were very professional and quick with the exhaust. Took about a hour to do. Very pleased

They completely take advantage of uninformed individuals specifically women/elderly. My mother drives a 2017 Jeep Compass and recently purchased 2 new tires a few months ago. A few days ago however, she went to this location because one of the older tires was at a PSI of 12, they informed her that she needed $1700 worth of work done to her car- including 4 brand new tires to which they tried talking her into purchasing. She ended up leaving with a plug in the tire for $12. They take complete advantage, there is no morality here. 100% will take business elsewhere. Also, after viewing the reviews— they are majority given by men. That speaks volumes.I hope this can help someone else and/or help the business or manager of this location educate their staff.

Easy to get an appointment (almost always same day). Easy in and out. Very little wait. Honest and they explain what they are fixing. Pricing is on par with dealerships but cheaper when you consider less time in shop and less return trips because of a misdiagnosis (which has happened to me several times at the local jeep dealership).

Great service, went in for a oil change and helped me with choosing the right show tires. They never pushed me to buy product. Very respectful and knowledgeable.

Best price in town for an oil change. It was hard not to take this deal up and just do it on my own. I would’ve spent more money that way. The staff was friendly and the service was perfect and timely. Definitely getting the rest of my oil changes done here.

They beat internet prices and everyone in town, including taxes and lifetime rotation and balancing for my quality Goodyear winter tires. Glad I called them. Easily saved $100-$200. Great job by Gregory the Manager. Best Monro experience I ever had. 5 stars.

It was cheaper to walk down the street to AutoZone and buy the part I needed than to pay them their costs, and simply just walk back to have them install it( like $450 cheaper) for the exact same part and brand.

Moved into town through the military half a year ago and have been going here to get my oil changed ever since. They are honest and dont try to push you to do any unnecessary services and are very efficient and courteous. Came in earlier than my appointment today and they still got my car in the shop right away. Would definitely recommend for low cost, great service, and highly accommodating.

I took my car here very last minute and I was ecstatic when the guys help me and told me my car would be back up and running the VERY SAME DAY!!! I am very pleased and will be using them for future service.

Scott took excellent care of me and my 2013 vehicle - he even remedied some other mechanic’s errors. He did it efficiently, and kept me fully informed of what he was proposing to do, going so far as to show me on the vehicle exactly what repairs needed to be made to each car part. Super friendly, forthright, and honest! 10/10 recommend for your car needs.

Highly recommend this shop for all of your car care needs. Greg and his staff are knowledgeable and courteous. You will not be disappointed!

I came to get new brakes and calibers with my car and i was able to get them done same day. The price was a bit higher then i would’ve liked but in the end i understood that it was the best for my car and the safety of myself and family. I am very satisfied and i will definitely return if there is any other issues with my car.

Awesome little place. Very friendly staff that gives the right amount of info and not too much. I already knew what my truck needed beside the oil change and they didn’t try to scam me into any ‘new to me problems’ instead offered what I already knew, got an oil change(synthetic blend), blinker fix and tire rotation all for under $100 and done in less then an hour. Definitely will go back for my time being at fort drum.

Went for an oil change and was informed that both the air filter and the cabin filters were absolutely filthy and even had mold in them and were willing to change them out for us. Gave us a discount on the labor and parts even which was great and now not only do we 5000 miles until our next oil change but also have amazingly fresh clean air in the car (seriously could tell the difference almost immediately!)As for the guys working and aiding us, totally personable service. Top stuff Monro!

Came in for a vehicle state inspection and was done and out the door in 25 minutes. Guy at the counter was nice and polite as well. Highly recommend.

Showed up at 11:45am asking for an oil change. Explained I had a $49.99 coupon for Midas. Manager said he would honor it. After agreeing to a new cabin filter and paying for an extra quart of oil for my SUV was told by manager it would be $107.97. He left for lunch. My car was finally done at 1 (they didnt bother to tell me the filter wasnt actually there and had to be brought from elsewhere). Mechanic rings me out at $135. When I question it Im told thats whats in the computer and he has no authorization to fix it. Waiting..............1:10pm.Manager returned and after 15 minutes of fumbling with the computer charged me the quoted price plus tax. I then went to my car to find fresh motor oil pooled on the passenger side floor mat. Fortunately its a weathertech. I asked the manager to look and all he could say was we dont put oil inside the car and theres no reason for the technician to even be in the passenger area. He offered to clean it at least. I ended up leaving at 1:25pm. Had to return to work so I will have to clean the oil up later. As i drove away i noticed that the low tire pressure icon was still lit (i had requested they check pressures since the light had come on)After a quick glance at the owners manual I discovered that the cabin filter is replaced from inside the vehicle on the passenger side which would suggest the oil was somehow spilled then. Also...A quick check online found the exact same cabin filter in the same brand at $21. They charged $40 plus $25 for the install. Never again Monro....you got me once...but never again.Update 10/18/18, 10:30 am. Left voice mail for Theresa in customer service 24 hours ago. No return call.

Had a really rough experience at Monroe. The manager is a smooth talker and seems very polite. He ended up doing work that wasnt approved and then lied about it. He called multiple times to collect a payment over the phone before even picking up our vehicle. The total was nearly 200$ more than the quote that I approved. When we got the vehicle back the work we had asked for was not done. They charged us 165$ for a battery that WAS NOT EVEN PUT IN THE VEHICLE! Then we had to go through 2 weeks of phone calls to get reimbursed for the battery. They are over priced and manipulative. I dont recommend them.

Purchased new all season tires at a great price, plus oil change at the same time. Friendly staff. Work performed as expected and on time on scheduled day. No surprises or upcharges. Would go back for more servicing when needed.

Greg was super helpful and honest when it came to inspecting our 08 Ford Escape also the only shop in town that was willing to fit us in. Mecanic took us in and showed us things that will need to be fixed eventually and why it needed to be. I liked that he showed us instead of telling us and taking just his word for it. Came here a few years back for some suspension work on my 07 Subaru and they were great then too. Highly recommended.

I made an appointment the day before to get a new headlight installed. The gentleman who helped me was very kind and courteous. He started promptly on my car at the scheduled time and clearly went over the bill with me. Will go back again for service.

I give very few one star reviews. But this place tried to charge us for work we didnt need. We ended up saving almost $600 by going elsewhere. Fortunately we know enough about cars to question their diagnosis. A less knowledgeable person would have been ripped off.

I had an emergency yesterday while out in my car. It started making the most awful noise. We are new to Watertown and I was really starting to panic on where to go. Well, I remembered someone telling my to go to Monro for oil changes. I am so glad I went. They quickly got my car in and ran a diagnosis. Not only that but also looked for a better price on parts. Extremely personable staff and very military friendly. Stopped in yesterday to see if they had my tires. They didnt have them in stock, but quoted me a price $150 cheaper than anywhere else and got them onto my car today...with it being three days before Christmas is pretty amazing to me!

I had an appointment for 11:30 am he said it would take about 40 min or so. Two hours later he came back and said it failed because the calipers were wore but still worked as well as brakes were good. Then gave me an estimate for almost $800 for back calipers. I just had my back brakes done about 2 months ago and the mechanic didnt say anything about the calipers when he had the tires off. Dont waste your time here because they will find or make up something to get more money from you...

Made an appointment days ago for an inspection today. My appointment was at 1. We were never warned that it would be a long wait. Our car was not done until 3:15. In the end, my car passed so that part was fine but definitely have never waited so long with an appointment for a car inspection.

Far too expensive.Service was decent, not fantastic.The waiting area was pathetic. Not even bottled water was offered. For the labor fees they charge you would think they would have a water cooler at least.The smell from the display tires off-gassing in the waiting area gave me a headache and we had to go wait elsewhere.I suggest they clean the air conditioner filters. They were covered in dust.

The manager Greg is very knowledgeable and friendly. Work was done in a timely manner. I appreciated leaving the shop and feeling like I had gotten my moneys worth unlike some other places where you leave feeling like you were swindled and taken advantage of.

I first had this place recommended to me by my mechanic friend who would work on my car at his garage for a job he did not have the tools to do himself. Ive gone to this Monro 5-6 times and every time they have been friendly and taken the time to explain what they found that was wrong in a non-patronizing way.Jon who works in the office/lobby is one of the nicest guys Ive ever met. He is very polite and listens to your description of the symptoms your car is showing and explains the results and prices before work begins. I usually call ahead to schedule to make an appointment and Ive never had to wait for service and the work is always done by the time they estimate.**Bonus is oftentimes you can find a coupon off alignments and oil changes online**

Went here for an inspection and an oil change and they got me in the same day! Talked to Greg on the phone in the morning and got me in later in the day and provided me with some great customer service as well. Definitely will be coming back here!

I had just been PCSed from Texas to Drum and was looking to get some muffler work done for a car i had just bought up here. Took it too these guys and i am very impressed with the work they did here. Very quick and some of the best welds Ive ever seen. Fairly priced as well. If you need something done with your ride and you just PCSed here, I highly recommend this place. Will definitely be coming back.
