My family and I have been coming here since moving up here 5 yrs ago. We have always had nothing but friendliness and patience every time we visit. We will always come back so long as we live here.

Very friendly, patient, and answered any questions I had. Killian was able to tell me exactly what portion of lenses, frames, or contacts my insurance would cover and what I would have to pay out of pocket. He was very knowledgeable about the add-ons such as anti reflective coating and no scratch.Dr. Erin was kind and thorough. She asked if I was okay with having my eyes dilated as it was not something I had planned on but was due for it.The computers seemed to be acting up on the staff a little bit, but that is not their fault. Killian handled the computer crashing as if it was no big deal, even though he had to start my data entry from scratch on a different computer. Not a single second of frustration showed which was impressive.Very pleasant experience.

I have ordered glasses from about three or four different places over the last three or four years. I have finally found a place that I will definitely return to - Shopko Optical here in Wausau. I was able to find a reasonably stylish pair of glasses and it didnt even take that long. I appreciated the precautions they have taken for Covid safety. Killian was so friendly and thorough!! I have a high prescription which can complicate matters, but Killian reassured me that Shopko could handle the challenge, and they did. He even took the time to show me the different transitions lenses colors and options, how they look after being in the sun. He went above and beyond. It took about 10 days to receive them. I do miss the old days when you could get glasses in an hour but I dont think anyone seems to do that anymore. Anyway, the glasses from Shopko Optical are beautifully made and the lenses are polished around the edges. Much higher quality that I have received at other stores. Thank you, Shopko Optical!

I ordered 2 pairs of perspiration glasses; one was sunglasses.The sunglasses came back as progressives, I didn’t request that, wanted straight up sunglasses. Still waiting for those to come in.My other pair was adjusted poorly. They keep sliding down my nose. I repeatedly said they were loose, but technician insisted they were fine.

The staff at Shopko Optical are very friendly, helpful and above all else professional. It makes no difference if youve been a long time customer of first time customer. Youre treated all the same.

The staff went out of their way to help me with my insurance and final cost. My exam was thorough and informative, such as understanding astigmatism, and corneal implant. The ladies there also helped me pick out decent looking glasses which were cheaper than the ones I was thinking of getting. The manager also goes out of her way to help with unfamiliar/out of network insurance plans.

Please make your charges transparent and ensure your customers know what they can expect to pay upfront. I never would have agreed to pay $438 out of pocket for 1 pair of glasses. I have High plan Insurance coverage.

They have a much better selection of sunglasses now. Very pleased with my last visit.

Good service @ a good price

After being charged over two hundred dollars more then I was supposed to pay! I told them it sounded a little high I never paid that much before. She said she went over the bill and everything was good! I got home and went over the bill again and my glasses were never summited to insurance. I have a $200.00 allotment. After I called I was told that I was over charged $240! Once I caught it! I told the girl who fit my glasses that they did not feel right. The letters were smaller then the glasses that I already had. I told her that I had tri-focals on my last script and now I have progressive? The girl said they are all the same. Now I can not wear my new glasses for more then half and hour with out getting a headache. I have to wait until March 2 to go back in to see the eye dr again to see if the prescription is right! Needless to say I paid for glasses that I haven’t been a to wear for the last month!

The ladies at the front desk didnt even greet us, they just looked up and back to doing whatever they were doing (there was 4 of them). Both my 9 and 10 yr old had appointments booked that day. The optometrist tech was not having it with my kids even though they were cooperating. The Dr rushed through everything, and led us back to the main room to choose glasses. We were using badgercare to pay for glasses, so I knew there were certain ones we have to choose from. We literally waited for what seems like awhile. The ladies at the front desk did not seem to care if we were ready to choose our glasses or not. I had to go ask them to show me which ones are covered with badgercare. They were not welcoming at all! Will not return, and do not reccomend anyone going here.

Great fast friendly service. Up to date machines, but the decor is a bit older.
