I had such a lovely experience from start to finish at this office today. Everyone was so welcoming and the doctor was great! At the end when I was trying on glasses with Kelly, you can tell she is so passionate about her job. She brought back so many selections for me to try on and we found the one. She shared the same excitement with me and was so personable throughout my whole interaction with her. It is so hard to find an office you like and who cares about your needs. Cant wait for my new specs to come in ๐Ÿ˜

I have been going to Badger Vision for 10+ years, have never had a bad experience. Their friendly staff help me pick frames that accentuate my face and they have never steered me wrong. Their staff encourages questions and welcomes your input.

I got good service and good glasses. The new impact resistant lenses I got seem to be holding up much better than my old glasses scratch-wise.

Have been here twice now. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Wait time is maybe 10 minutes past your appointment time(paper work, browsing frame and glasses options for filler). Joel is amazing and entertaining, remembered me coming in years ago for contacts. Very honest and thorough with routine eye exam. Frame selection is not overwhelming but does have many unique options. They also have a referral discount which I was made aware of during my visit. I highly recommend Badger Vision!

I would not recommend Badger Vision Center. I recently went there to get an eye exam and contact lens fitting. The contact lens fitting cost $80 and should have been covered by my insurance provider, but this was never presented as an option. Their prices on contact lenses are very high ($45/6-count box per eye).Throughout the process I have been there for a total of 3 appointments. Each time, I have arrived approximately 10 minutes before by appointment time. Each time, I had to wait well past my appointment time in the waiting room, sometimes 20+ minutes. When they finally got me to an exam room, it took another 20+ minutes for the doctor to arrive for a brief 5-minute exam/discussion. All-in-all, youre looking at a solid hour out of your day for about 5 minutes in front of the doctor. Also, the walls between the exam rooms are very thin so you can hear everything being said between the doctor and other patients. This seems unsettling to me. It is especially bothersome when I can hear the doctor chit-chatting with other patients as I wait to be seen.In any case, you could find a much better eye doctor for equal or less cost.

I am new to the area and this was my first trip to Badger Vision. Dr Baisden and his staff do a fantastic job and I was very satisfied with my experience. Dr Baisden is very professional and thorough with his exam and his staff helped me to understand what the various tests were for and why they are important. After my exam I purchased several pairs of eyeglasses. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and I never felt pushed into making a purchased. I will be recommending Badger Vision to others !

First if all I dont even go to this vision center I called to ask a couple of questions and you can tell that the lady was rude. She didnt even listen to what I was asking her and kept asking me to repeat myself. This is how they make their 1st impression.

Dr. Baisden and his staff are simply WONDERFUL! My family and I have been patients of his for 10+ years. I recently had to switch doctors as I am living full time in Chicago, but when I came home to visit I discovered I had forgotten my contacts. We called Dr. Baisden on a Saturday and he met us at the office in person and was kind enough to give me a few pairs to get me through the weekend. Truly above and beyond any eye doctor experience Ive ever had. Thank you Badger Vision for saving my weekend and always being responsive in last minute vision situations. If you are in the Milwaukee area do not go anywhere else!!

Dr Baisden is AMAZING, unfortunately his staff is AMAZINGLY horrible. I reluctantly keep going back because I really like Dr. Baisden, however I cant keep doing this. The service is just that bad. I have now been waiting 3 days for a call back.I always arrive early, and am taken late. My last appointment I was there for 90 minutes.Staff walks in and interrupts other staff during testing and even during my contact lens classVery disorganized.Suggestions for others in the area?

In response to CVSs comments (sorry for feeding the trolls)A contact fitting fee is the fee for your contact lens exam. It is standard and charged everywhere, whether or not where you go explicitly says so. It is SEPARATE from the fee for a comprehensive eye exam, a routine eye exam, EVEN IF it is done at the same time. Contacts are a prescribed medical device you shove in your eye every day. Because of the way you use them and the way they must fit, they require more parameters to measure to fit properly AND have MORE RISKS which must be monitored REGULARLY to prevent permanent, severe harm to your eyes. This is necessary EVEN IF you dont feel your vision changed or your eyes feel fine with your contacts. Many severe eye problems develop gradually over time and the steps go unnoticed by the patient until the condition is very advanced and difficult if not impossible to reverse.Contact lens prescriptions expire like every other prescription. Regardless of what you feel about expiration of prescriptions, it is done primarily to ensure that people frequently see their doctor to monitor a device that while very useful is NOT a total substitute for glasses (what do you do WHEN, not IF, you get an eye infection? Lose one? Its too dry?) and has the potential to cause a lot of damage to a sensitive body system if not properly maintained and managed. As an analogy, sure, you could say that the recommendation to change your cars oil is just a scam to get you to buy more products until your engine seizes because your engines lubricant is full of dirt, grit, and other damaging particles or it has entirely burned away. You are charged a separate contact lens fitting fee EVERY time you renew your contact lens prescription (REGARDLESS of whether you buy contacts there or not - thats your business where you take the prescription once you get it). You are charged this fee because in health care, professionals trade their knowledge with you over a period of time called an exam for your money. If you have insurance, you may STILL be charged this fee because your insurance company DOES NOT REIMBURSE YOUR DOCTOR in full for his fee for the comprehensive eye exam, the part that checks the health of your eye and gives you your refraction, which will be your eyeglass prescription. Insurances do not pay him or her in full for a BASIC exam (By in full I mean the full price that a person without insurance would pay. Insurance TYPICALLY pay about $40 total for a vision exam, but in order to be able to receive ANY payment, the provider must typically accept THIS as a full payment. Try that with your premium sometime, and youll understand the irony.). A contact lens exam, EVEN FOR A CURRENT CONTACT LENS WEARER where no changes to the prescription are made, takes more time because of the previously mentioned increased parameters that must be measured and checked EVERY TIME. Thus, more time = more money. For full disclousre, I am NOT an employee or patient. (I actually applied for a job there but did not get it.) However, I am an optician who respects the work they do there as well as the healthcare we in optics provide. I hope to not let an uninformed comment produce further misinformation. It was written with intentions spurred by emotions but not factual information about health care or the current system we use to pay the people who provide it.The doctor was not scamming you, just doing his duty as a health care professional to maintain your health and afford to live. If you want to be mad, be mad at the health insurance companies who take your money and pay the people who actually PROVIDE your health care very poorly.

Dr Baisden couldnt be better, but the office services are subpar. Ive had glasses cut with visible defects that I was told is how you get them, contacts that have taken 10+ days to arrive and have called and been told is get a call back only to have to call back the next day. Id recommended using be Baisden along with something like 1800 contacts or lens crafters.

Terrible experience at this eye doctor. I have been wearing the same brand of contact lenses for 8 years. This physician charges $55 annually for a contact lense fitting that is out of pocket.....regardless of the fact that nothing has changed. The front desk people are very rude and the when I was told that the optometrist would call me, he never did. Extremely disappointed - there are plenty of qualified optomitrists in the MKE area.....STAY away from this one!!!
