Great place to get what you need for home projects. Recently Picked up a shed, team was very nice and loaded it in truck. I love that they are a equal opportunity employer. Gentleman that check me out was deaf and I would have never know it if it was not on his name tag. He did an excellent job, was one of the fastest check out i ever had! GO HOME DEPOT!
Just came from Home Depot, Waynesboro. Asked questions of a number of staff. Everyone super polite and helpful. Great experience. I will be back.
My husband and I had went to Lowes to look for a new refrigerator, after waiting for 30 minutes and 2 sets of customers being helped who came in after we did, we left to go to Home Depot. The man working the appliance section made contact within 2 minutes of us being there to let us know if we had any questions to let him know, WHILE he was helping another customer! He answered all of our questions very knowledgeably and within 30 minutes we had picked out a new fridge and were doing all of the paperwork! We also got a free freezer, a 5 yr protection plan for both and still saved $500 over the Lowes price for just the refrigerator! After our experience at Lowes, we are grateful to the associate at Home Depot for such a pleasant experience!
Came into store about 630 pm and spent 20 minutes looking at washer and dryer combos to find not a single assoc in department. Then had a friendly guy in paint page assistance for us.. still nothing. Lesson of the day.. Lowes got a $1600 sale on same product because you were not staffed. Maybe you dont need the extra sale?
Was lied to when I was buying lawn mower was told because it was an open box item I will get it at a certain price by the manager I was at I asked them to assemble it for me since it was a free service and I would come back after walking around the store I saw them assembling it and the manager then decided that he was not going to give me the price that he had quoted to me because he put it together himself even though I never asked him to put it together I asked for the free assembly that was done on Wednesdays and this was a Sunday. Manager was rude and obnoxious It would not go there again
Always one of my favorite stores to shop. Specifically, due to their price match policy. Hands down the best in the business.
Cami was very helpful and explained in detail about every refrigerator we asked about. She was very knowledgeable, provided the highest quality of customer service I have received by a salesperson in a long time. Lowes in Charlottesville has never provided us with this quality of service . This is why I drive 35 miles one way to purchase my products. Its sad to say the county planners and commissioners have self interest with Lowes and that seems to be the reason we cant get a home Depot in charlottesville.
Always enjoy my shopping at Home Depot over Lowes, though cant always get what I need they usually have great stuff. I do need to shop both, Lowes has better electrical selection. Home Depot can order the Niagara Stealth super efficient toilets and best prices. Good paint as well. Generally have better garden center, really like a lot of what they carry.
Although Lowes is closer, I definitely prefer Home Depot over Lowes. Part of it is the bad experiences Ive had at other Lowes in the past. So I admit, Im slightly biased. We still go to Lowes for small quick things since its significantly closer and so far no major issues, but I will say the organization at Lowes and selection leaves something to be desired. So onto actually reviewing - the few times weve been to the Home Depot, the employees have always been very helpful. One time we were returning a toilet (nothing wrong with it, we just made a mistake and it didnt work with our current set up) and the employee who was wrangling carts helped us unload it without having to ask him. Another time we were buying siding for our shed and an employee came over and helped us load it up into the cart without having to ask. Not only that, but he explained that thr tag we were looking at was for the siding below thr tag and not above. Overall, just very helpful, which is appreciated given customer service is often lacking nowadays. I just wish the Home Depot were closer to us!
They were nice enough I suppose but tried to upsale us when we were very explicit about what we wanted. The woman reeked of cigarettes which was a bit off-putting.
Personally Ive always preferred home Depot over Lowes. I have had custom installation from both places and home Depot was always superior. Thats the only reason Im giving them 2stars. This morning calling the store in the Waynesboro location was such a nightmare! I needed to talk to two different departments and it literally took them eight times transferring me to get to these destinations. The first place I asked them to me transfer me was to roofing. There wasnt a separate roofing department ( I personally didnt know that until hearing this highly disrespectful conversation between two employees. They just should have been up front about this). She forgot to put me on hold so I heard the WHOLE conversation!!!! The other girls like Oh I dont know just transfer her somewhere they will figure it out???? For roofing materials they literally sent me to flooring. The second department I was trying to reach was custom blinds (plantation shutters is what Im interested in). The guy answers the phone flooring and I had to repeat myself three times that I was interested in custom shutters. And hes like oh well flooring handle shutters. Okay well maybe answer the phone that this is flooring and window treatments??? Im so disappointed. Of course price is going to out weight everything because I have used them in the past and they have done excellent work compared to other big box stores but today was completely unacceptable. If they didnt know what they were doing or werent sure they should have completely been up front with me or placed me on hold to find someone that know how to handle my request!!!

The staff was much more helpful than Lowes had ever been. I have stopped going to Lowes.I will continue going to Home Depot.I also find that the inventory is better than Lowes and the pricing is better also.

I bought a ryobi battery operated, self propelled, cordless lawn mower. Best investment ive made this year. NO gas, oil or pull start!..Batteries charge quickly & i havent run outta battery power mowing all of the property. Consistent motor power too!Earth friendly is a plus! It is Compact, Quiet & Lighter weight, which makes it the ideal mower to operate.Im so pleased i made the switch from regular self-propelled mower to this and not disappointed in any way. Its worth the cost!

I recently purchased a Glass Warehouse shower door kit. I messed up on the size I ordered and didn’t realize it till installation. I called Glass Warehouse to order the correct size door expecting to pay for the correct size door and shipping. To my surprise they said they would send out the correct door at no cost to me. I am very impressed and pleased with Glass Warehouse through Home Depot and would recommend them to anyone wanting a high quality custom glass shower door. Dennis Schultz

Ordered a 1,300 dollar swing set for my children for Easter. Ordered almost a month ago so there was more than enough time for it to arrive. A week after it was suppose to show up I get a call that the order was canceled due to it being extremely damaged. Where I was informed the didn’t have any more of that model which is fine their was another one, but it would ship sometime in the next 3 to 5 days and no to be sure it would be here in time. Customer service was absolutely horrible to deal with any no one could answer anything. Will not spend another penny there.
We visited HD looking for a certain stain for our back porch. Kevin, in the paint area, helped us select the correct stain. He took the extra step, while very busy and helping other customers, to show how three different stains would look in use. We were very impressed! Thanks, Kevin!
I dont know about everyone else but I always run into grumps here that dont want to help.Like when I needed to make a cash payment on my card was a hassle.I asked a guy about a certain adapter for my brand new sink I just bought and he looked at me like I was unknowledgable...I asked a guy to get a lift to get an appliance down from the top rack and he acted like I was ruining his day.I used to like going to home Depot, but now I would rather go to lowes
Really poor customer service here. No one ever wants to help you. Every time I go, I see at least 10 employees walking around doing nothing.
Prices were wrong. No help getting things off shelves. Staff seemed very uninformed.

I really wish they had a Home Depot in Charlottesville. I prefer Home Depot to other big box hardware store. The folks at this HD are very know and helpful. Marvin at the Pro Desk was helpful in filling a complex order a d took the time to do it correctly then verified everything a second time. He also made suggestions that saved money and will save time. Their inventory turns over often so if they don’t have something in stock just check with them to see when they will get it in stock again.
Really like this store and prices seem to be cheaper then competitors.

Went in was offered help by multiple employees, they were very nice and knowledgeable. I was very pleasantly surprised, then in the parking lot I was offered help to get the work bench in my truck, didnt even need to ask. I usually go to the guys in blue, but trying to find someone to help me or someone who knows what they are doing is a nightmare. Im team orange all the way!!
Only place I could find EPS panels in 1/2 and 3/4 for my project. Staff was friendly curteous and helpful on a Friday pm. Thanks HD! Ill b back in the future.
I bought a grill today, and used my home depot card to purchase it. But I also had a $50 gift card that I wanted to use, and they said I couldnt. So Ill be buying all my grill supplies from Lowes. And Ill give the gift card to someone as a present. Home Depot let me down

Usually a great experience when picking up home improvement or gardening resources. However, on July 29th, I attempted to purchase Fresh Oak at the 1.60 price photographed price at the store. Its 3.19 online. I saw the in stock sticker, looked for a sample, and took a picture since I couldnt find a sample. My wife saw the flooring from my phone and loved it. We loaded up our kiddos and headed to Home Depot with my mother in law.Once at the store, we were disappointed. Although the sticker says, in stock, it wasnt. The store had zero in the system. Further, I showed the store associate the display as pictured. It didnt matter what I saw advertised. The store associate said it was clearance based on the yellow sticker, and he said once theyre out, theyre out. This was repeated by Customer Service. Heres ther kicker. While standing in front of the display, the associate even said we should remove the stickers. He started to remove the in stock stickers but then left it.Heres the follow up response:I ... just wanted to apologize for the experience in the store. Unfortunately store prices and online prices can vary since homedepot.com is a separate entity from the store. Once an item is getting discontinued from a store due to being a low performer, a product change, or just being discontinued all together we do clearance the product to sell through the remaining inventory. As far as the display that is up that shows in stock, that is up due to the store stocking that item and it not being a special order product. Our Merchandise Execution Team will be the ones who redo the displays and replace that clearance display with whatever the new item will be. Until they change the display, we generally keep the pricing and all the stickers on those displays. I do see your point of view and I do apologize again for the inconvenience. If there is anything I can do for you feel free to give me a call or you can always send an email. I want to thank you for coming into The Home Depot and allowing us to earn your business.

Great staff!..but I DO NOT RECOMMEND getting a home depot card!! I have been a weekly and at times daily customer, for YEARS. I signed up for the card when i bought my new home to do some needed repairs. Never missed a payment in 3 years, until i lost my job during covid. I was approved for unemployment, yet didnt receive a penny in 11 months. Home depot has hounded me SO HARD and call THREE TIMES A DAY, that i have drained my 401k to try to keep up with my payments as well as make my mortgage payments as well.. Please tell me why i still owe over $4,700 on a $5k balance after paying thousands of dollars on the balance?!!

The store is well kept and nicely laid out/organized. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful. This particular location seems to not have a lot of things that the Lowe’s down the street has. I’m giving this one three stars because I had a not so great experience with getting some plywood boards cut at the store. I was working on a home project that required some thin plywood and I needed Home Depot to cut it into 8inch planks for me and I was more than willing to pay for the cuts. However, the guys I got to do the cutting was less than thrilled about having to cut my 6 sheets of plywood into 8inch planks even though I’m a paying customer and it’s his job. He cut 2 planks for me before he decided it was too dangerous to cut plywood that thin. Which makes no sense because I know someone who had recently done the same home improvement and gotten Home Depot to cut all of it for them. So because he wouldn’t cut it, I had to purchase a guide for my skill saw and go home and come back with a different vehicle capable of carrying the whole sheets of plywood. Needless to say I won’t be returning to this location any time soon.
I was looking for an item, which according to the website said that there were 6 in that store, but not really one. I spoke with an associate and the solution was simple, take another that works for you, and we keep the price. Take a 19 usd item for one of 6

I keep trying to give this location in Waynesboro a chance and they keep proving to me that they are rude and uninterested in my business. As a veteran I value how people treat others. And I will not be trying to use this store again.
Ordered a shed, flooring, shingles, paint and caulk online to be delivered. Paid for delivery and paid the extra fee to know when the package would be delivered. I was working night shift and had my mother at my house with my phone waiting for the package. When I woke up, my mother said the package hadn’t been delivered yet but when I looked outside, they had dropped the package off in the middle of the driveway. Not only did they not let us know it was here, but they also signed for me instead of getting me to sign for the package. I called customer service which they reached out to the store to see if they could come move the package since a 3rd party delivery service was used initially. The store refused due to COVID-19 and customer service said there was nothing else they could do. I was told by customer service that I could hire some people to come move it but of course I would have to pay for it. Now I’m stuck with a shed and flooring that is getting rained on and being damaged until I am able to put it together (have been waiting since the heat has been so bad). For $1,300 and paying extra I thought this would have been a different experience. All I wanted was the package moved but if they’re gonna tell me to hire a service then some of my money should have been refunded to account for that. I won’t be a returning customer.
Employees seemed not to have time to help, yet there was less than 10 cars in the lot.No one was willing to check us out, had to use self checkout. If they are saving money on staffing then lower the prices. I found two of the items that I almost bought there for $5 and $7 less at Lowes. No discount to veterans unless youre a retired military vet.
Great store, and employees! Little low on stock, but otherwise its a great place to go shop to get all the adult toys and supplies.
Staff is helpful. Proces in many items are better than lowes. But lowes usually does better in lumber. Appliance prices and appliance department staff are much better at the home depot.

This was a very clean store and we wasnt bothered while shopping. We would be asked if we needed help if an employee noticed we were looking lost but not every time one walked by us did they ask. That really aggravates me when they do that. Nice store!

Gave this store 1 more chance to get an order right. Ordered tile & it was the wrong color & then customer service has to argue with me that it is the right color, when the wrong color is written on every box. Poor customer service. There is a reason why the store is empty.
Clean organized. Less busy than other HDs that I have been to recently. Cleaning supplies and PPEs were in plentiful supply.

I bought a washer and dryer. I called the day before it was to be delivered and talked to a lady in appliances. I wanted to make sure the outlet I had was compatible with dryer cord. She assured me it was fine. They brought out the appliances a few minutes ago and told me no it won’t work. So I had to send it all back. Home Depot sucks!

Lousy customer service. This girl who worked in the paint department lets you know you are not welcome to bother her. I thought it was maybe just me because I wanted my stain mixed but this other customer asked for a paper towel and she was huffing doing the eye roll when she had to stop and get him a paper towel. The clerks at the checkout will not even acknowledge youre there.

Was in home depot on 5/15/20 to purchase a Dewalt impact drill! Good deal on drill! But what I witnessed from employees was less then acceptable! An elderly gentleman in a scooter asked me if I worked for home depot! I told him no I didnt! While I was waiting in line at self checkout this gentleman came up and asked for help! The lady at self checkout said she couldnt help him. Asked another employee who was just standing doing nothing not helping anyone, if he could this gentleman he said no he couldnt he was busy? So I took this gentleman over to the stringline for weed eaters all the way on other side of store and spent about 15 min. With him to make sure he got what he needed! This is very piss poor customer service, ad I hope these to employees are ashamed of themselves on how this gentleman was treated!

Curbside online pick up took 40 minutes and required I come into store due to a clerical error. A partial small item was behind in arriving. Since I live 30 miles away, I asked for it to be mailed. It took a managers approval. Otherwise good

Was very disappointed when I went to purchase a Christmas tree. I specifically went because the website said the tree i wanted was there. It wasnt and when I asked someone they said they had been sold out for a long time. They refused to sell the display. Employee was very rude and really didnt care that the website said they had the tree in stock.

Very helpful staff. Bathroom up near front by building supplies rather than in back of store like most Home Depots. BW aisle is split into different areas of store so its easier to ask for help on those items

Don’t shop here often and I remember why now. So many aprons that have no idea what or where anything is. You take the time to explain it carefully only to get a “I don’t know” and “talk to this person and that person. I can understand new or that’s not that persons speciality but come on 4 people?! For a simple door lock.

A nice clean Home Depot. Items are well organized and accessible.... Exception only with small items in compartments near floor... Tags need to be big enough to be read as a distance.
