Follow-up (2 weeks later): We visited in the morning when the bagels were not yet shelved in the display case. In order to help the attendant avoid repeatedly travelling to the back for every bagel we wanted, we mentioned all our chosen types upfront. The lady packaged up the bagels just as we made clear we want butter/spreads for the bagels. She was quick to accuse a native New Yorker of not knowing thats how things work in New York. She aggressively cut, spread and wrapped our order. U-Need-A Bagels is a solid bagel place but this disappointing experience will prevent us from returning in-person for a while. We now order through one of the delivery platforms and get it cheaper.Imagine your typical, thick bagel except fluffier and lighter so you dont feel bloated after your first or ten. U-Need-A Bagel has proven to be consistent with its core offerings, and the cream cheeses are among them. The Everything bagel gets everything right, the Cinnamon Walnut Raisin cream cheese is moderately sweet and the Sesame is just toasty start to finish. Theres room for improvement around presentation and pastry selection, but those are just bonuses over what is being served fresh all morning and afternoon.

Food here is excellent. Definitely stands out from your regular bagel place. Staff is very friendly.

I liked going to this place because it was close and convenient but they mess up too many times. I asked for an egg everything bagel with butter and then the lady gave me a whole wheat bagel with strawberry cream cheese?? And then she would roll her eyes at my mom when she messed up her order too. Not good.

Great bagels! These bagels are BIG, fresh and taste great. Been going there for years and have never had a problem. Fast, friendly service and good coffee. Order the hungry man on a twist roll and youll be good for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Just like pizza joints...a bagel store on every corner and hard to find the one that stands out. Well, U-Need-A-Bagel is that stand out.

Usually this is my favorite place to order from, they have been my go to for months, but this is the 3rd time they either made my order incorrectly, or forgot an item. I understand that the place is busy, but this time they only gave me 1 egg sandwich out of 3. They gave me the bacon and egg for my little brother, but left out 2 hungry man sandwiches, so at least he gets to eat. The first 2 times this happened, it was a sketchy scenario,( I am not going to disclose what happened for fear of retaliation) and the food looked contaminated. I feel its necessary to make sure they understand how wrong they were. Needless to say I am very displeased and they have lost my business. (I order at least 2 or 3 times a week from this place)

I eat at Uneeda at least once a week. I usually just get a baconeggandcheese with salt pepper ketchup, but sometimes get their Hungry Man sandwich. Theyve also got great bagels and some solid dessert options. Their iced tea is delicious, as well. The staff are always super friendly, definitely would recommend.

Service was poor, employees were rude and after paying for 2 sandwiches a bagel and home fries, half the order was left out. When we called to complain, the manager didn’t seem to care and didn’t offer any way to make up for their mistake. Worst yet, while eating the one sandwich, a hair was found!

I go here every other day, went there today for two hungrymans on everything begals.Ive never had a bad experience. Ive been in New York for only a year, Ive already been to a ton of begal shops, and this location is one of my go tos.Always have a great selection to choose from,Store is very tidy,Employees are very nice,Food is great and they get it to you pretty quickly.Would recommend.

Worst bagels Ive ever consumed. They microwave breakfast bagels. The bacon was microwave strips and not freshly fried. I ordered the advertised large ice coffee for $2.75 and they went ahead and upgraded my ice coffee to the super extra GO BIG size for $4.00. I didnt mind their prices but the fake bacon and microwaved bagels ruined ut. STAY AWAY.

I love this bagel place. The staff is excellent. They have everything you could need for breakfast and lunch. If you need something done a certain way they will do their best to make it the way you need it. I highly recommend them. Tell them Lee Anne sent you. 😉

Went in and asked if they have corned beef for a rueben. I was told yes. I then ordered a corned beef rueben on a hero. What I received was corned beef hash on a hero with ice cold sauerkraut, Russian dressing and no cheese.

Good Food. But for God sakes what are you wearing gloves for??? You handle register money and then you make sandwiches for people?? I’m sick of seeing that everywhere. Disgusting. Every employee did the same. Have one register person who handles money and phone order pickups. Trust me you will do much better.

Just not the same anymore.. Must have gotten new owners over the past 4-5 years? The food is just not nearly as good.. Prices jumped, started skimping on the amount of food they serve(seriously, the egg sandwiches are all roll! You can forget about the eggs or bacon. I mean do they use 1 egg and a strip of bacon for the whole sandwich now?), taste is mediocre(you can honestly make a better tasting sandwich at home). Overall I wouldnt recommend. Such a shame I LOVED this place growing up, you couldnt find a better bagel spot, and going there every Saturday morning for breakfast was a tradition. Not anymore...

Everyone here is fantastic. Lilly, Jay and the rest of the staff are friendly and efficient even at 5am. Place is just a little small for how busy they usually are.

Had the worst experience here. I witnessed an employee count out about $300 and then proceed to make my sandwich (disgusting). I kindly asked her to change her gloves and remake my sandwich. She gave me the nastiest attitude behind that and told me she was not required to. She told me she would oblige, but not after she continued to make other orders with the same dirty gloves.... after about 10 minutes i just left. Never to return

Good bagels with good service but in this day and age they still dont make decaf iced coffee which in the summer is all that I drink.

NOT a fan. Gave them 3 trys. First time got a bacon egg and cheese on a very undercooked plain bagel. Next I got bologna and American cheese on yet again and undercooked everything bagel. They claim to have Boars Head theres no way that was Boars Head. Strike three and youre out I got a toasted cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese it is loaded with cream cheese and the bagel is still undercooked. I just moved here and was looking for a new bagel store this is not it. Also whoever was helping me actually yelled at me! She gave me attitude because the person in front of me ordered the same bagel and she accused me of double ordering. When I first told her I didnt she asked me if I was sure. I am so done here never coming back.

Every morning Im there for breakfast. Best bagels around!

Decided to pick up a dozen bagels with 1/2 lb of both cream cheese & butter because I was in a rush (usually I go to another deli). Called in 15min in advance to ensure I could just pay and leave. I saw my order sitting on the counter and asked the woman if I could pay for it because I was in a hurry. She told me to wait in the back of the line, while she continued to converse, with what I assume to be a friend or relative, and put together orders (with no gloves on) There were young children running behind the counter which added to the unclean environment. It’s like this woman was more concerned with vindictively finishing her conversation than serving the customers, which was strange because there was a few of us waiting around. I waited an additional 15min to pay for an order that was literally sitting 10ft away from me, and to top it all off the total came out ~$22 (for context I pay $27 for double the amount of bagels, cream cheese AND butter down the road). I gave them an extra star because the short woman who speaks Spanish and the young man who work there are very kind and hospitable, unlike the heavyset woman who wasted my time and money. Sad I will not be returning.

Walked in to see two staff members arguing loudly over something and felt super awkward while waiting to order. Tried to order a lunch special but the guy at the counter apologized and said that they turned of the grills- which I can understand since it was an hour before closing so that wasnt the big issue. I decide to leave then and the lady behind the counter yells at me to hold up and asks if I want a bagel instead. I told her no thank you and as I was leaving I heard the snarkiest whatever behind me. I know people have off days but you dont talk to people with an attitude like that- especially customers.

Sometimes they are great, soft bagels and good egg sandwiches..some days they can be off. And kinda expensive.

They get my order wrong every other time I go here. And I only come here when I work in the area. Trash place

When you put ketchup on half of a sandwich by accident dont just wipe it off, I just opened my Bec at home and threw half away, very uncool to try and cover up what was probably an honest mistake.
