My mechanic recently closed up shop and let’s just say I was very apprehensive about any new place I chose. John and everyone at Welsh was super nice and helpful and made you feel comfortable right off the bat. Everything went seamless and I will for sure be back. An added bonus: attached to my paperwork in the car was a scratch off lottery card lol….it’s the little things that count and it was a cute surprise!

Amazing experience!! Everyone was very friendly and highly skilled. They are honest and do everything to help out the customer. Went there for inspection which was performed swiftly. Issue with tires that came up was explained thoroughly and I was given options for resolution without any pushy sales etc. Comparing all my options independently, turned out getting tires through them (their partners) was the best option. John helped me with a great set of tires, and at a great price. New install and checks were performed as soon as possible and I was able to drive out without unnecessary delay.If you are looking for dependable, trusted professionals, and a peace of mind experience, I highly recommend this place.

My car was given a thorough inspection and came out pretty clear of issues. There was a nail in a tire causing a slow leak that was plugged at n/c. We are new customers to Welsh Automotive. A larger hitch was needed on our Honda to carry heavier electric bikes and rack. Job was completed in an hour! We were thrilled. We have since had the car serviced for brakes and an oil change . Again, everything was performed promptly. John even had a bulb replaced in a broken running light at no extra charge and explained what was needed for a future inspection. He and his crew are an exceptional team to work with. Another plus- you can book a “rental” car from them if you need work done but still need to be able to get around- so convenient. :)

Welsh Automotive always gives reliable, friendly, and fair service. My husband and I have been bringing our cars to Welsh for a few years now after being taken advantage of at a local Subaru dealer. Welsh always discusses our options before starting any repairs. They give us the lowest-cost version, but also a few others to ensure our expectations are met. They are trust-worthy and dependable.

I went here for the first time for my annual inspection and they were great. I asked for my car to be done by lunch time and it was finished well in advance of that. They didn’t try and upsell me on unnecessary repairs at all which is surprising because I have a 2009 car. The prices were great! Will definitely be back in the future.

I bought an older used car and John was fantastic in helping me get a few issues sorted. The car has been sitting since January 2021 and needed some routine maintenance, inspection, as well as figuring out what was going on with the odometer light. Turns out the entire cluster panel needed to be replaced and that was required to pass inspection. John was able to find a used cluster panel within my budget and answered all my questions prior to having him do the work. I have to say that he was really patient with me, answered my MANY calls over the last week with total professionalism and was just a nice guy to work with overall. The car has some additional work that will need done and I will for sure be using Welsh automotive again.

My workplace has been using Welsh for years now, so I finally decided to take my car there.It took me 3 of my cars and probably 4 trips to this mechanic for me to write this review. Part of my lack of commitment to a certain one shop is because I have been burned by other car garages. But I can say that the people at Welsh is first of all honest. They will recommend, but will not push it or say it in a way that it needed to be done.My 4 trips were all minor issues: Annual inspections, oil change, tire rotations, checking for a flat tire (which they spent the time taking my tire off and inspecting to see nothing wrong-they did not charge anything for that service).Overall, I see why my workplace has switched from a chain car garage to Welsh, and I will now frequently visit them now.

Its our first time using Welsh Auto and I must say I was very impressed!! John was thorough in setting up couple of appointments and the emissions/inspections were done fine and on time. They also fixed a low-battery in my key fob which was fabulous. They also have courtesy rentals if required. They are very courteous and they pamper their customers. We will definitely be going here for all our future car care needs.

Welch automotive went out of their way to schedule me in for a vehicle inspection while I was out of town and visiting in the area. They did not have to do that and John did his best to accommodate me. I was very pleased and will come back when I am in the area again.

Welsh Auto Group was amazing and professional. I got a great deal for state inspection and emissions and they went above and beyond standard service. It was for discounts on state inspection and oil change and since their location is within walking distance to my house I decided to give them a try. It turned out I needed new tires, which John, the person who deals with you, obtained. He got me a good set of Yokohama tires for a decent price. We always use the Exton because it’s closer and we get excellent service there as well. I needed a pre purchase inspection of a car we’re trying and I needed it same day . Exton was booked solid so I called the West Chester branch and John was able to squeeze us in and he didn’t even charge me. Both locations give excellent service.! Highly recommend!

Went to get my Acura MDX serviced; once I arrived I was greeted by Mr. John. He was pleasant and explained everything as I waited. He was able to get my AC blowing cold and let me know that they put a dye in just to see if there was any leaks if my AC stop blowing cold. I was out of the shop in less than one hour. The prices are reasonable and they give you a lottery ticket every time you come in for service!! I am always pleased when I get my cars serviced here. Wow!Just returned from getting my first service on my 2018 Honda CR-V at Welsh Automotive. My fiancé took her 2008 Volvo station wagon there for service a month ago and was very happy with the experience, including the cost.So I figured I would give it a try. I first called my Honda dealer to find out what the 15,000 mile service would cost and was told about $200. I took the list of Honda maintenance items to Welsh. John, the service manager, said they would take care of it and offered to do a state inspection too, and apply a $25 coupon to reduce the cost of the inspection.Bottom line: my CR-V now has a new inspection and the 15,000 mile maintenance is done. They did the work on time. They are professional and polite. And I saved a ton of money. (And, as a bonus, their location on Downingtown Pike near the Giant puts them about 3 miles from my home).So Welsh now has two new, satisfied customers!

I have finally found the best automotive repair shop! John at Welsh Automotive is so knowledgeable and HONEST. The team of mechanics work fast and efficiently. I have just recently started going to them for all of my family’s car service. (4 cars) The waiting area is clean and comfortable. I am very very pleased with the service and will be referring them to my friends and family. Even though I have to drive 25 minutes to get there, it is well worth it. I don’t stress going and I leave happy.

Thats rare these days in the automotive service field...In business since 1913 and family owned and operated in the same area of Chester county...Any business that specializes in one type of business offerings as Wileys does...and has been around for that long has to be GOOD! Im still happy, damn it!My computer isnt co-operating today...May 1st, 2019 my second visit to Wileys Automotive to get a few of her seals replaced...which were either leaking,...or on the verge of doing so. Old Green is now back in her driveway and all better! The service level of Wileys both in workmanship and customer service is tops. Im still happy, damn it! :)!

After having difficulty getting a specific repair done at two separate Lexus service departments, I tried to find an automotive service company in the West Chester Pennsylvania area. I visited several other repair businesses but didn’t get encouraging answers from them either.Frustrated, but not deterred, I found Welsh Automotive Specialties.Not only were they able to do what to Lexus dealer service department said was not possible, they saved me a great deal of money by restoring parts that I was told could not be restored. This saved me the cost of having to replace those parts which, were quite expensive.I am so impressed with this business and the people who work there. I had mistakenly thought I should take my newer vehicle to the car dealership. They had recommended a number of services which would have been very costly. I called Welsh Automotive to get a 2nd opinion because they service my older vehicle. They determined that none of the recommended services were not needed and did not charge me for any of the work. I recommend taking all your vehicles here and only going to the dealership for recall items. They have always been very honest and have done a great job.
