Best machine shop in brevard. Trustworthy and reliable. As a small mechanic shop owner myself, looking for a reliable shop to get performance or daily driven vehicles engine performed on I can count on ranks. Rebuilds for daily driven to race track worthy builds and all other in between. Their machine work is of top notch n they stand behind their work.. I have been using them since I opened my shop n have had many jobs done . I have not had to take a job back ever . Their work last better then new! Give them a ring u will not be disappointed
I have personally used Mike with Rank for the past 4yrs on my personal daily driver, and on both of my high horsepower cars! Fantastic work, fast, reliable and dependable! None of my cars have failed due to any of his work. Highly recommend Mike over at Rank! And if you need any performance parts, go on next door to Space Coast Speed Customs and Rob will hook you up!!
These guys have built some really solid motors for my mud truck buddies. I also know guys at the track who are making big power who went to Rank. They are the only guys around with an engine dyno and are super knowledgeable. Great machinists in the shop as well, got my block and heads back to me quickly and done right. Thanks guys!
MIke and Rob just finished an NA 416 LS motor for me and I was spinning tires at 40mph with it yesterday. Ive been to a number of shops in Palm Bay, Melbourne and Orlando. These guys definitely do the best work. I know they work on everything, but unlike a lot of shops with bays full of Mustangs, they actually do a lot of LS work, as opposed to the typical we work on those too shops.I met them 13 years ago when I needed drive shafts for my mud truck and Im still running those pieces today. What impressed me then and still holds true today is you wont see any grocery getters around the shop. Its all custom vehicles including their own cars and trucks. They even carry nitrous and methanol by the gallon. Cant beat this place, especially if you are serious about performance vehicles, and for sure if those vehicles run LS engines.
I had a Jeep i6 stroker motor machined and built by rank in 2017, it took 2 months to build which I was warned about prior to the build. The machine work is impeccable, these guys really know their stuff, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I hauled this motor to Michigan, stuffed it in my Jeep, broke it in and drove it home from Michigan to Florida without any issues. Its a few years later and that motor is still running perfectly, in fact it runs and sounds better than many new engines, thanks Mike!
I had some work done by this facility. The work was fine. I did have to chase a few threads to remove the media used to clean the parts, but no big deal. Due to their high work load, it took two months, but they warned me about that prior to me dropping off my parts.Mike, the machinist, is skilled and polite. However Rob is not. Rob acts like he woke up on the wrong side of the bed, but all day long. He also seems to not care for certain types if you get my meaning. Rob is the reason I wont return.
Really happy with the driveshaft and machine work. I gave Mike the length I needed and he did the rest. Picked it up today and it fit perfectly. Great work at a fair price. Thanks Mike!!
Thanks again mike, quick efficient and knowledgeable works for us every time see you on the next job.
Top notch machine shop from start to finish, they built me one awesome motor, Thanks 👍
Hate to leave negative review - but have no choice -OMG - customer service is lacking. Had engine rebuild there - took 10 months and guy at front desk told me at the beginning they would break it in. They were supposed to break it in - but never happened - still not sure if it runs. Said they needed headers to start motor. They had the factory exhaust manifolds but I was told they couldnt break it in with factory exhaust manifolds?? I am not an engine builder - which seems to be the problem with guy at front desk - he is better then me - but when I asked around I was told they could use factory exhaust manifolds to start motor. Machine shop side was good - fair prices. Engine looks good - just guy at front desk needs a class on customer service - does not know how to deal with public. Glad its over - will finish elsewhere.
It was all good until the guy at the front desk called me a novice. I was probably building engines before he was in grade school and almost just took my stuff and left. In the end they did a pretty good job with my heads.
Customer service is lacking. Simple job of enlarging a hole and drilling 4 other matching holes to a fan spacer was met with Cant be done! which is funny because it was already done on another fan by a machine shop when I lived in another state. Very poor service and quite rude to be frank.
They have done two drive shafts for my mud truck, a forged LS3 with stage II ported heads and some small jobs. They always do great work. When I compare their porting to that on a set of ported heads I recent bought used, there is no comparison. Mikes work is much cleaner and shows much more attention to detail.
Took a driveshaft to them to be shortened and 3 new u joints installed.3 weeks later I was called and told it was ready. When I picked it up they had done a fantastic job cutting and welding however the u joints where not replaced.Due to the length of time to complete the job and not fully completing the work I would not use them again.
Neat, clean machine shop. Knowledgeable machinists. Reasonable shop rates. Would definitely utilize this shop again.
This place is as good as it gets! Great work and even better crew! Shop is well Maintained! Great prices and quality job!
Mike and his team are great. Very fair with pricing and the work they do is top notch. Very generous with his time and knowledge.
Had my driveshaft shortened and balanced, excellent work and fair price. The weld is a work of art!
