I purchased a push mower from a brick and mortar chain about a year ago. This mower had not been on the market long therefore very few reviews were available to help me base my buying decision on. I bought it and loved it until it came time to replace the blade. When I read online what others did to replace the blade, the results werent good. I thought I may have to buy a new mower because reviews made it clear that blade replacement wasn’t an option and impossible to find. The brick and mortar chain wasn’t able to help me so I had to search for a small engine service shop. Cape Fear Outdoor Equipment told me my mower didn’t have a standard blade and it may be difficult to find, buy, and even order. They asked me to bring my mower in so I did. They were able to find an American made adapter and switch it out with the foreign one allowing for a standard size blade to be used. This was a trial and error period until they were able to find the right adapter, even the right size bolt in order to put a standard size blade on it. Now, when the blade needs replacing, I can get one from nearly anywhere. But I will only shop and/or go for service from Cape Fear Outdoor Equipment because I trust them. All of the effort they went through for such a minor change was beyond today’s typical customer service! They went ABOVE and BEYOND my expectations. And for that, they have a customer for life! The knowledge and professionalism of management and the entire staff is impeccable and impressive. I highly recommend Cape Fear Outdoor Equipment for any small engine sales and service. A++++

Cape Fear Outdoor Equipment Company is the best small gas engine Outdoor Equipment retail business that I have ever had the pleasure or doing business with. The employees a very knowledgeable forthcoming and willing to help Beyond reproach. The business ethics involved a high degree of customer service coupled with honesty and a huge sense of fairness. To shop somewhere else makes no sense to me if Im looking for any of the services that they offer or products that they sell.
I waited in the shop for at least 15 minutes before someone asked me what I wanted there at least 3 employees in the front working but not saying anything or asking to help anyone. I call ahead for my part but they didnt have it saved for me
Took my Honda mower in for warranty work and was totally disappointed. First they called and said the repairs would not be covered under warranty. When I told them I was a retired mechanic and the only reason I brought it in was, it was under warranty, they then said it was covered. Next they said one of the parts was on back order, and would be in on Tuesday. I called on Thursday and they said I dont know who told you that, the part is on back order. I checked with an actual Honda dealer and found that the part was available through Honda. After leaving the mower with them for 3 weeks I asked for it back. They were able to produce the mower within 5 minutes and to my amazement the mower had never been disassembled. Now the question, how did they know which part or parts to order when they havent even taken the mower apart? They have lost my trust and business.
Wonderful service!!! My 10 year old mower for first time was not working. They cleaned and adjusted the carburetor for a fair price and in a few days. So happy
Outdoor equipment repair and sales. Will work on almost any brand and stay very busy, especially in the warmer months. Expect a 2 or 3 week wait for repairs. They are thorough and reasonably priced. Will also order parts.

Had my mower in for a tune up and they did a great job at a reasonable price. Great customer service. Would be 4 stars had they not taken 2 weeks.
Their prices are too high. Honest Engine is much more reasonable and their employees are much friendlier. I recommend Honest Engine over Cape Fear Outdoor any day!!

Been going there for several years. As a landscape contractor I am treated with great respect, the repair response time is fast. They even work on some of my equipment I bought from the other dealers.

Ive had some dealings with this place with my main job and my small lawn care business on the side, Every time the people have been very nice but now im a little upset....I purchased a redmax string trimmer one time (300$) and I specifically asked if I could use a brush blade with this trimmer. At the time I was told yes and he pointed out multiple blades I could use, Well a week later I came in to buy a blade and was told if I opted to use any of the blades he pointed out it will void my warranty on the trimmer....If I was told this before hand I would have paid more for a better trimmer.On 9/17 I came in desperately needing some new blades to get my zero turn back in action so I didnt have to keep using the walk behind, Well here it is 9/28 and I went in to see if they forgot my number and after searching for 5-10 minutes they found my invoice in a pile of papers they havent even began to order, I was told they wait till its full to save shipping cost for the buyer... So here I am busting my hump with a walk behind not wanting to order blades through anybody else cause in my mind they already ordered them.This just really put a bad taste in my mouth and I wont be doing business here again, if I told my customers I was going to do something and didnt do it they would fire me also.

Dropped off my husband equipment a month ago call 3 times a week and finally after getting the run around I picked up equipment and it was never touched and the guy says well your parts came in today I’m thinking well your girls have told us that for a month he gladly gave me my equipment back and walked away !!
