They only complain about working with all the rust a little :) They seem to understand I cant afford a new car at the moment and do what they can work with what I have. Im very appreciative. I had my car towed here after hours and came back the next morning to explain.Everyone was really nice and never once did I feel like they were trying to take advantage of me; clearly someone who does not know their way around cars.When I came to pick up the car,it was a little more than the amount I had on me so they gave me a bit of a discount which was very much appreciated.Do pay these gentlemen a visit if you’re looking for a shop in Woodstock.

The shop was a great find and a referral from my brother who is very discriminating and who does work on his cars. I do a lot of my own work and simply need a machine shop to turn my rotors for a break job. They were extremely fairly priced, just by looking at the shop you could tell that these are real car guys and talking to a couple of different employees while I was there they are pleasant and know their stuff. I would not hesitate to refer to them.

They dont try to sell you something you dont need. Very honest and straightforward. Would highly recommend this shop.

As a woman who knows nothing about cars, it’s hard to know if you are being taken advantage of—but not with G&S Auto & Muffler. I have been taking my car to them for the past few years and they always provide reliable service at a fair price. I can trust their advice and never feel like they are trying to sell me on an un-needed service. I’ve even priced shopped around for different services and they always come in with the best price. You can feel confident your car is in good hands.

Charged me $84 to replace two lights when Autozone’s labor would not only be free but 45 minutes less of my time. I was sat for a little over an hour while the man fixing my car had sat and repeatedly conversed with the attendant up front about another vehicle. I was charged for half of their $85 an hour labor charge. In a previous instance, an alignment was supposed to be done. It cost $50 only for the car to not have been aligned properly. One of the mechanics claimed it was from a car accident that’s never happened. The vehicle hasn’t ever been involved in a car accident! Please find another place for small repairs. They will rip you off.

Brought my Elantra here for muffler delete. These guys were very knowledgeable and professional. They still checked my car thoroughly and was able to discover some other issues but before they start any work they go into details in explaining what they notice and what should be fixed immediately and what can be fixed over time. They have had ample opportunity to charge me an arm and a leg, but never have! They only make the necessary repairs, and dont try to fix something that isnt broken. In fact if I ask them to fix something and they find that it isnt broken they let me know instead of fixing it and charging me for it anyway! They are the best mechanic I have ever dealt with!!!

Excellent service. Told me I didnt need the front brakes that the Honda dealership told me I did need. Price was reasonable to replace a belt. They were a referral by someone who has also had good experiences there.

G & S is the best automotive tech shop in town. They have performed a variety of work on my wifes Honda Civic, from exhaust to brakes to A/C repair and engine maintenance. All of their service is top quality and fairly priced. I cant recommend them highly enough.

I took my 94 ford ranger truck to these guys to replace the 2 catalytic converters and they were really nice. It took them about 2 hours and only charge me $400. I check all over town and could not get a price less than $600 for replacement. I think Ron worked on it.The truck runs great now. I was able to work while they repaired it thanks to their internet access.

They are THE most honest people with whom I have ever dealt. I trust them completely, without any hesitation. Would recommend them to anyone, even my Grandmother. I know they would never do anything dishonest. I have trusted them with probably 7 different vehicles over time. So often I bring one to them and they say, You dont need anything. I probably get told that more often than them saying I DO need something. They are the best in the business. Period.P.S.The place where I get my tires tells me to use G&S. Where I get my oil changed says to use G&S. I always say, Been going to them since I was a teeneager. Very familiar with their work!

Outstanding work from these guys. Fit me in on a Saturday for removing the resonators in a 15 Challenger R/T and swapping the mid-mufflers with some glasspacks I brought them. Job looks fantastic and super professional and it was priced very reasonably. Super happy with the results.

Honest and fair. I took car to them expecting to need an engine. They diagnosed a different problem that was thousands of dollars less. Ill certainly be returning to them as the need arises.EDIT: The need arose for additional services. Again, they were fast, friendly, professional, and competent.

Not very good quoted me a hundred dollars to replace a doughnut gasket and said it would be 3 days before they could get to it. So I called cherokee muffler in canton they told me 25 bucks and bring the truck in while I was there had them quote me a new exaust on my z71 325 dollars for the price of that and I didnt even know that was there competitor but I wont be back to the over priced buisness and anyone should call and get other prices before committing to g and s muffler. There is buisness out there that actually care about the customer instead of pushing small jobs off like they are too good to do them

I have been using G&S for over a decade. I have never had any cause to complain about their service. Quality guys who do great work. I saw some negative reviews, and I noticed none of them attached their names to the reviews. Why not attach your name to it if you stand behind your review? I will take my cars there as long as I have a car to drive.

GREAT SHOP!!!!!! I had a jeep Cherokee that I took there to get the exhaust done and they did a great job on and recently i bought a 2011 Nissan maxima SV and I had the timing chain done and they did a excellent job on it but I heard the noise again so I went back and they were very nice to me and helped me out and flushed my engine and put new oil in it and now my Nissan is running great Im not going anywhere else but here !!!!!!

My family has been using G&S for years and will not use another shop! Have always been honest and forthcoming.

Was told they could do my exhaust and order me 2 cats for he truck without looking up the price of the cats. I was told it would be $450 for everything and to drop the truck off. I dropped it off around 11:30. They called me at 3:30 to tell me they ordered the wrong cats and I will have to buy them because they dont have access to getting any! WHAT EXHAUST SHOP DOESNT HAVE ACCESS TO CATS!?!?! I think they realized how much the cats were and were going to loose money and decided to get me to buy them. They THEN told me it would be $350 for the exhaust piping and labor. They are full of shot and not honest people. I would have gone back if they held there word but they didnt. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST.

This shop tried to rip us off. First I called on Wednesday and was quoted one price for head gasket work. I called back 5 days later and was quoted a price significantly higher by another person. Either they have a sliding and rising scale price list or you are charged based how the person answers the phone feels. Second, I asked for a manager to explain the discrepency in pricing from two different people, the guy answering the phone, Calvin says he is the closest thing to a manager that they have. So after getting nowhere on the pricing issue, I decided to just get the vehicle in since I needed to get the work done to get to work. After quoting me the price of $1,300, he calls me the next day (after taking my car) and attempts to pressure me into getting work done that I did not ask for and could have waited later to get done. When he could not succeed, he then says My manager says that if we cant do the other work then we will not do the head gasket work. I asked when can I pick up my vehicle, he says I could pick it in 30 minutes. I picked up my vehicle and took it to another shop that did a thorough check and told me that I did not need head gaskets and whoever told me that was trying to rip me off (that would be g&s). The work that was needed cost way less than the flosting price that G&S was trying to hustle me out of! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO G&S!! NO ONE NEEDS FLOATING PRICES AND MISDIAGNOSES WHEN YOU JUST TRYING TO GET TO WORK!

G & S IS ONLY GOOD IF YOU WENT THERE FOR A SPECIFIC PROBLEM, IF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOUR CAR, AS TERRI, the owner told me, he only checks the areas you ask him to check, he does not have time to diagnose the entire car. After he repaired my car,cost me $650, the car was worst than before, he then tells me I have another problem worth about $1000. Calvin the receptionist is full of unpleasant personality, if you want great service, this is not the place.

Used to think this place was the best, but went to pick up my car from them and have had battery issues ever since. They tried to blame it on me leaving the lights on (they had had it all week, I had picked it up in broad daylight an hour before) and basically told me I was screwed. No customer service. They put the wrong oil in my friends van and his engine blew out right after he paid them $1750 for a bunch of work on it. He hadnt even asked for an oil change!! They took no responsibility. Avoid this place.

Ive taken my truck to a few other garages and nobody could fix my tire wear problem. I was referred to G & S and Rod looked at my truck and found the problem within minutes. Rod fixed the problem, did an alignment and I have not had that problem since.I highly recommend G & S! This will be the only garage I take my vehicles to from now on!

So I got flow masters put on my 04Tahoe. Now you would think that being a muffler shop they know how to do exhaust systems. But not really I had mine done a year ago and everything is fine with it but I was told that in order to do it I would have to lose my spare tire and I said fine I just want it done. So now I have no spare tire hope I dont get a flat. Today I went to Walmart only to see the same exact Tahoe as mine with the same exhuast and I looked under it to see if they have there spare tire and of course they do. SO THAT TELLS ME G&S ARE LAZY AND TRY TO CUT CORNERS WHERE EVER THEY CAN SO NOW I CANT CARRY MY SPARE TIRE BECAUSE THEY DID NOT FEEL LIKE DOING THERE JOB TO THE FULLEST IF YOU DONT TAKE PRIDE IN YOUR WORK DO SOMETHING ELSE BECAUSE IT WILL DO NOTHING TO HELP YOUR BUSINESS. With that said I have not went up there to ask them to fix it because judging by other peoples complaints it seems like there not going to own up to it and fix the problem but I will try it any way and see what happens I will keep you posted

The shop is easy to find, they are fast and efficient, and everyone is incredibly nice and friendly! The reviews on here that are unsatisfied, dont know what they are talking about! I went today because I called on Monday and they told me to come in today. Went today and they couldn’t help me out, said there “exhaust guy” is out when there were 3 other mechanic dudes just sitting there bullshitting around. How does a muffler shop only have 1 exhaust guy? And how are other mechanics working there not qualified to bolt and exhaust up with 2 bolts? This is a case of my job was only like a 100$ and they are trying to pass me off. So now I missed an hour of work getting screwed out of my set appointment. Do not give this shop your business

Great experience there. I have an older car so theres many problems with it but they took care of what I needed and didnt dwell in other areas trying to get more money.
