I was out in Joshua Tree and looking for a VW mechanic for my 83 VW Vanagon Westfalia. Unfortunately Frenchs doesnt work on 80s vanagon models and Ultimate Motors quoted me over $2,000 to fix a bunch of things when all I needed was new front shocks. Thankfully I was told to talk to Steve at Baja Works who helped remedy my issue for under $200.If you have a VW Van I highly recommend taking it here!
