This used to be a very nice store, despite being in a rougher part of town. It was always clean, well organized, well stocked, and had happy employees. A new manager came in earlier this year, and things just went south. The store went into a state of decline, to the point it looks like an episode of Hoarders, complete with a rat that ran down the aisle. There is open food packages all over the store, and the food on the shelf has sometimes been expired for a couple of months. It is starting to smell unclean. The happier employees have all left, and it seems the ones leftover are pretty disgruntled. They dont even really stock the shelves anymore. The last few times I have been in, they had products, still in their shipping boxes tossed on the shelves and on the floor. Behind the register is in terrible shape, and starting to look a bit like an employee safety hazard.

The worst customer service I have ever encountered, and I have been in the customer service field for over 30 years. No matter what time of the day I go in or how many items that I need I always go in therequick because I always know the lady with the red spiky short hair will give me attitude and Im never comfortable every time I go in there. The attitude in that store is just the worst I have ever encountered.

I love this place. I find it so relaxing. A family atmosphere.

The employees are helpful friendly as for the store they have a good selection of products a little bit of everything. But they do have stuff that just sits on the shelf. Thats corporate. Corporate should come to the area where the store is located or let the manager order the stock.

My review may be biased as this is the closest store to my home. Each of the employees and representatives have consistently shown respect and professionalism. Though they are just doing their job, work ethic shows through in the upkeep of the store and Vibe of each human to one another. In fact, a couple months ago, I was short a couple dollars and could not get my seven-year-old daughter the kinder egg I told her we would get. My daughter threw a completely unnecessary tantrum but was sincerely hurt. I was trying to expedite the process to avoid bothering the employees but- to my 😲 surprise, one of the visiting managers very nonchalant paid for the treat. I would not assume and absolutely do not suggest this is normal or that anyone should expect this, but the act of kindness will be engraved in my daughters soul infinitely.

There meat is very fresh I buy ground beef for my pup and its always fresh red meat. They have everything I need without going to ant other stores

This store always has bare shelves and racks of boxes clogging the isles and way understaffed. Worst store i have been in and going on for 3 years now.all other stores are normal., well stocked and not cluttered with carts o f goods blocking isles and no one to put the goods on shelves. The south 301 store is horrible.

Always friendly staff working. Staff is always willing to help if you need it.

I LOVE Dollar General because its much safer than shopping at a superstore. I walk a short distance to shop for everything I need, theres fewer people in the store and I have a positive, quick check out especially with the new self serve register! All we need now is produce!

I like the convince that i can enter any Dollar General Store in America knowing what I want to purchase, and go in and get what i came for quickly with no problems or delays.

Needed a replacement charging cable for my cell phone. They just happened to have one that fit my Samsung Galaxy S10 plus. It was their last one and it was pink! Oh well, got my first and hopefully my last pink charging cable! Lol

This is the largest Dollar General Ive ever seen or been in. It was literally amazing as I travel up and down aisle after aisle of clean and tidy shelves.This store is a must see stop for shopping.

I know this store has been remodeled and it looks nice, more items and refrigerators. The parking lot is always messing. Trash is always on the ground. Lets get that in order.

Good clean store n really nice staff

Store aisles are messy, and signs and products for sales are not where theyre supposed to be. Especially in the laundry detergent aisle for example. Scanner in the DG APP doesnt work in the store so thats a waste. Products advertised and digital coupons arent all available in the store either. Even when I set my store location to the this is my store in the app the products I clipped most coupons for and was going to purchase were not in the store. Otherwise store is okay.

Store is not neat nor clean. Iles are jammed packed and crammed. Usually, just one cashier working the front while other employees just hide out in the back of the store. Too many crackheads hanging around the entrance of the store. Makes you not want to shop there.

Always a good place to get reduced price household and food items quickly.

Store is in a bit of a disarray and shelves not stocked well or priced well. Had to hunt and seek to find what I needed and seemed a bit of a hassle. Serves it purpose but could be so much nicer with a little management, but maybe Im expecting too much

I love this Dollar General, the employees are fantastic and very helpful, they just had a reset at the store, there open, now. The problem the employees are having, is the cash registers keep crashing, the self checkout isnt working and the checkout lines are a long wait, PLEASE Dollar General, come and fix these employees cash registers, so they dont have to listen to a broken record, of the customers complaints.

Gross. I walked in and there were 2 dogs in the store. I said something to the lady at the register and she thought she was educated enough in the matter to argue with me about the legality of dogs in stores that sell food. Its in fact illegal. Only SERVICE animals are allowed not emotional support animals. Making a call to the health dept. The employees need to be educated better about FEDERAL laws.

I’m pretty amazed that the fire marshall hasn’t shut this place down. The aisles are always blocked. The floors are always littered. The fire escapes are usually blocked. It’s dirty. There are signs of rodents. They obviously quit mopping a very long time ago. I pop in every few months, before remembering how bad they really are.

I go here frequently because its close to my house, and convenient for me. Usually the lines suck, with only one register open. The workers are always friendly though, so that makes up for it. They almost always have what Im looking for. The aisles more times than not have carts from overstock I guess, and they are in the way. Which is quite annoying.

This store always has a line. They had stuff sitting in the aisles some aisles blocked off. Just very crammed and slow.

Always one of my favorite stores, lots of bargins and great for teacher supplies and home schooled kids. Love all the craft ideas and who can beat the dollar factor. Like in any store know what your buying, most items are worth more than dollar.

My least favorite dollar general. The bottom shelf in the refrigerator is disgusting, I never buy food from that shelf. Too bad its the only one near my house.

Local easy to get to

Great place, Great people, and a good selection on hand/in stock. Especially for it being a Dollar General there is a good bit of diverse products sold on location. And the staff is surprisingly very nice/upbeat and very helpful. Which makes coming here all the better whenever I do wind up having to go to a Dollar General.

Store is a mess. Stock sitting in isles to the point you had to walk around the other end just to get to something. Needed AAA batteries. Only dollar packs they had were AA. They had plenty of the higher price batteries however in any size you could want. To their credit the store employees were friendly and helpful. Shortcomings are a result of management.

I like that the store is clean. Everyone is helpful. Very nice store and staff.

Everything was out neatly, appropriately marked everyone was very friendly. Would rather travel to this one than the 2 closer to me. I could actually shop comfortably rather than squeeze into a messy store where nothing is out and the people are rude.

Quick, fast, and in a hurry you cant bet the Dollar General just about your one stop shop.

Love the bargains but this store in particular seems to always have stock lining the aisles, not put on shelves, and it makes it very difficult to maneuver around. Im disabled, and I almost fell a couple of times. I had tripped over boxes that were only partially unpacked.

The store was a mess and the young man that checked me out was absolutely the rudest human being I have ever had to deal with. I simply asked if the ice cooler outside was locked, he ignored me to yell at the young lady working on bring stuff in. When I asked him again he growled its always open. Very sad experience, will never shop this store again.

It was very lackluster and didnt I say have that many good deals so I think they can definitely step it up the best part of it was the employees they were excellent I actually gave a three-star rating only based on the store if it was for just the employees and how kind of where I would give a 10 star rating so I would go back there because of the kind employees

I visited this Dollar General for the first time the other night and was impressed by how clean this store was compared to somme of the other local ones I have visited. The manager greeted me as soon as I saw her and was running around doing stuff. I needed help finding a spray bottle and something else so I asked the cashier either Hannah or Heather It was cool because she took the time to walk me where the items were and was sweet when ringing me out. 5/5

This Dollar General is a little more cluttered than the one I usually frequent closer to home. However, the girl at the register was so bright and cheerful to EVERYONE in line that she more than made up for it and I left with a broad smile.

Unlike other DGs I have been to, this store is organized. If the line is too long, the manager jumps on the register AND every member of the staff (5) I have met were nice, efficient and helpful. Pretty amazing for this level of shopping!
