I had this U-Haul in Dover install wiring for my Ford F150; he quoted me $60 yet charged my wife $100 when she went to pick it up. 3 days later my tail lights would no longer blink, either side, nor would my brake lights work. The Manager refused to fix this (even though my contract says I have a 2 year warranty on this work) as he blamed it on previous wiring (he shouldnt have done the work then?). This was not a problem prior to him touching the wiring, yet Im out over $100 and with light issues that were NOT there before he touched it, so Im in worst condition. DO NOT USE THIS U-HAUL!

Ive used this U-haul twice now, and I have to say; U-haul in general is a great company, but Tom (the guy in the photos) at the Dover location is fantastic. Hes friendly, down to earth, efficient and makes this particular location stand out. I would definitely use this U-haul again. Give this man a raise!

Trailer hitch install on my Toyota. Quick in and out, pickup was within a couple hours, everything works, the guy was very helpful.

I reserved a vehicle trailer for 24 hours. After I made the reservation, they called me and asked if I could return it early because someone else wanted to reserve it. Nope, because I need it for a whole day. 18 minutes before I was supposed to pick up the trailer, they called and said the trailer was no longer available because someone hadn’t returned it. The lady copped an attitude with me when I asked how she was going to solve my problem. So now I have 50$ and no way to pick up the car I bought.

Girl working here is pretty much worthless. Acted like I was disrupting her nap time. Finally got a quote. More then double any of the other places I got quotes from.

The lady justina at the front counter was a great help. Really nice young lady. I will surely go back to her store.

Said it had a full tank of gas it was between3/4 and full. The back was filthy never cleaned out.

Ive rented a lot of moving vehicles over the years. This you haul location is a nice one. The staff is friendly and helpful, and there is rarely ever a time when theyve been out of vehicles. They also have plenty of boxes. The standard towing equipment accessories etc. The last time I rented a truck from them. It was a very fast checkout process and I was on the road in the vehicle within 5 minutes from my turn with the associate.

Manager is a nice guy but the mechanic is inexperienced and immature. Tried to tell me the rattling muffler was just the way it was going to be, nothing wrong with install. 1/2 later the rattling muffler was adjusted and made right, I shouldnt have to argue for acceptable work.

The van was clean and in good condition. The staff was efficient and no-nonsense. After-hours return went off without a hitch.

The gentleman there always strives to help you as best as he can, for the past many years.

Had a reservation for 3 weeks. Truck was not ready or even at the facility. Was told it would be ready for 3 pm, 5 hours after scheduled pickup time. I showed up at 3 to find out the truck was still not there. Worst experience.

Great service. I accidentally set my pick up location to Rochester, and was thinking my moving day was going to become way worse than moving already is. Customer Service rep took the extra step to get my truck ready at the Dover location in minutes, with a great attitude. Made me feel much better about being an idiot. And I messed up my check out, didnt charge me any extra. Great guys at the central ave location.

I installed hitch at this location. They have installed wrong hitch, they did not return under body covers (their instructions says return to customer), phone is always on auto forward. carelessness, Inexperienced, Immature and you have to argue. I have raised a complaint to UHaul.

I rented a van... said $19.99 to rent all day. I got it @ 830 + was told I had to bring it back by 1 because it was rented then also.. bad business... I asked to use 1, moving blanket figured they throw it in.... after all Id rented the van for the day + had to have it back in 4 hours.... nope they charged me for 6; blankets. I wont go back!!

I rented for a move the end if January and was extremely satisfied with the professional and courteous treatment I received. The shop doesnt open but the young gentleman offered to help out a little earlier the next morning so I could make it to work on time. I think his name was rutowski or something similar. . What an awesome person. I was very pleased and highly recommend this location. Great customer service makes all the difference.

Needed a truck for an extended amount of time, Tom was very accommodating. He runs a good business over there. Recommend renting from the Dover location.

Excellent service and many trucks to select from. Theres enough parking space so that you can leave your car while youre renting a truck. No complaints.

Very helpful employees when I called and on the day of pickup. They were accommodating, took the time to make sure I had the truck I needed for the move (15 footer is what we got) and were friendly individuals. No hidden fees and any questions were answered in detail. Will use their service again!

Straight foward and professional all round good experience.

They always offer great service and the trucks are nice and clean. The only reason for the lower rating is the long lines that they have every morning.

I reserved online but still had to wait. There was only one staff member on at the time. He was great, acknowledge us, help the person that arrived first. Still wish they had a second attendant on during mornings when they get busy.

Never ever rent from these guys!!! they totally scam you!!! They charged me $150 for a scratch in the paint that wasnt even my fault.but they claim because I didnt see it in the pre walk around verification that it must have happened while I had the van and it was my fault.It is literally a tiny scratch in the paint and it could have happened anywhere and does not affect the functioning of the van at all and is not $600 repair like the guy is claiming.Total total scam.

Went there to rent truck near there closing time had only cash on me they needed credit card I only needed to go two tenth of a mile to get it the female manager said that was no problem she would give me time to get back I was gone less than 5 minutes I got back and they were closed and gone, so if you get told she will wait dont waste your time she could care less about u hauls customer s shes just there taking up chair space and ruining uhaul s reputation I personally will never use this location again and wouldnt trust that the equipment is being inspected when its returned especially when you see not even the trash and reception desk area is not cleaned how can you trust that the equipment is safe, I dont recommend this place for obvious reasons

The lady was nice.

Rented a 10 foot box truck for a 600 mile round trip. When I reserved the truck I asked about having it back in time for the next day drop off and was told I would only have to pay the 19.99 for the extra day if it was late. I was told it would be 99 cents a mile. When I went to pick the truck up I was told I would have to pay an additional 150 dollar fee if the truck was not back by 10 am the next day because it was rented for 10:30. Then came Tom to the rescue!! Not only was he able to get us the truck for 2 days but we wound up paying ony 40 cents a mile and the final cost was way less than it was going to be originally. I would absolutely recommend going here if you need to rent a u haul. Tom saved our whole trip!! Thank you so much

Staff are nice but the big problem is that no one never picks up the call every time I called. I have to go in person to talk to them.

Tom and his guys have taking care of me a couple times now they always seem to do their best and get you into something for a fair price and that will meet your needs.
