Good place for fresh veggies and dairy products. Easy in and out with self check.Need more staff in their Starbucks. Waited almost 20 minutes to place my order and then the batista didnt know how to work the register and had to wait for a store manager to correct the problem. My Starbucks order didnt record to my Starbucks account.

Went shopping and despite some shelves being empty (not working features to home) I was able to spend about $400. Three carts of food and lots of staring pointing and whispering. From both customers and associates. SMH no shame lol

I like this store, most do not because of the homeless people that hang around the outside of the store and also the drug activity, but we can not hold that against SafeWay. They still serve their customers dealing with the outside problems very well I think

I always find what I need at pretty dang good prices. I HIGHLY recommend shopping with the Just4U app. Ive gotten things for free and saved tons of money by using the coupons.This is my main grocery store and I use this location for my banking and pharmacy as well.So far no negative experiences.

It’s Safeway, what else is there to say. Only made this review so it would stop asking me.Oh, there is an awesome woman who works at the Deli counter, she is excellent at cutting deli meat and got my prosciutto tissue thin and wrapped it per layer.

I went in the store to buy a birthday cake. The associate in the bakery department was very helpful she showed me several deep dark chocolate items. I chose a deep dark chocolate cake with dark chocolate icing, and it even had Happy Birthday written on it! Susan, the cashier is such a sweet lady. She is always very helpful, and very friendly. I really enjoy seeing her when I shop at Safeway.

Always pleasant staff. Clean store, well stocked, upkept area. Most people are patient with me and my boys. I visit frequently, and will continue to do so.

I had a great shopping experience...

I was there at 10:00 at night. It was very clean and well stocked. The story was pretty empty wich was nice since usually its packed. It is in a very dangerous area at night. Sometimes during the day even.I have noticed daytime has cleaned up the parking area and made all of the transients stay away. So daytime has a way better crowd than 2 years ago. Nights took a bit longer to make me feel safe enough to go there after dark but took a chance tonight and it was great. No one creepy in parking lot and the store was very clean and no homeless and dangerous looking people inside. So I applaud Safeway for getting the store looking so more welcoming and making Auburn look a little better to people passing through!

I know Safeway cannot police their store but when i go there i literally see shoplifters not even hiding anything and tired of the stores not able to apprehend criminals . I feel most the time that I need to be armed and ready for a violent defense just to shop there…. This is a cost handed down to consumers…. Lawless King county, we need larger jails, police force and actually convict criminals!! imagine society ten years from now, its already a free for all…. Is the general public going to have to take the law into there own hands down the line, definitely a concern for our community…please !! Washington state fund police, prison systems with learning programs, rehab half way housing with job placement and housing for the mentally and disabled people that cannot function in society…… introduce severe prosecution and conviction for criminal use of fire arms no matter age… and other crimes Lets heal society and enforce our laws !!!

The people that work here are all super nice and very helpful but the homeless in the parking lot are getting bad you can not walk to your car with being hounded for money or beer if this place is going to make it the parking lot needs to be a safer

Clean store and well stocked. Bakery isn’t very good though. Lots of items looked burnt except for prepackaged bakery goods. No one like burnt bread, muffins, turnovers, cakes, etc.

This is quite upsetting. 1 minute before my pickup time its delayed. Then at 8:17 I get a text to pick it up before 8. No one will answer the phone and my pickup order is now lost in limbo somewhere. Way to go Safeway.....👎👎

This Safeway is crazy and seems like its filled with riff Raff too small of a safe way not enough selection there wasnt even a cake and I was trying to buy a birthday cake for my friends daughters birthday not one cake

This store appears run down in my opinion. Of course I am from out of state so what do I know. But the young male cashier who was our cashier was extremely kind.

The downtown Auburn, WA Safeway is very well done inside, but looks like the slums on the outside with litter and parking lot messed up. Not inviting to want to go inside.

Safeway is always reliably the best place when it comes to premade meals and produce. No matter the location Safeway has always been my go to store.

Not nearly as scary as it used to be. used to have a homeless problem and I would never had shopped there in the dark hours but it was fine this last time I went and was all cleaned up. The inside was clean, well stocked, and inviting.

Excellent customer service! The staff is very helpful and very polite. They are always willing make sure your experience at Safeway is top notch.

Dont go durning late hours if you dont want to deal with crack head...they wobble but they dont fall down!

We LOVE going to this Safeway! We actually have a store thats much closer but theyre always out of items we usually buy and their customer service isnt great so we decided to drive 5 miles away instead of 2. Weve been using the drive up and go service for a few months and love it. There have been a few minor issues here and there but for the most part things are smoother and generally pretty quickly, even in busier days.

Like come on people all the locked doors. the locked bathrooms doesnt make the place very friendly or functional had to pee in a parking lot. Just generaly not good location either.

We did a grocery pickup. It was easy and my preferred way of shopping now. I wish there app showed how much stock they had because when we picked up our groceries they were out of a lot of things.

Safeway is OK. Though it seems their prices are higher than they should be. The atmosphere is dull to me. Would be good to see a fresher look. One more thing, the contents of each isle signs need to be easier to read. (That may be just me, lol)

Great service I did the drive after work the lady that came out was very pleasant and fast with bringing my groceries out.

Not much to say about this location. Its defiantly hit and miss with prices and employees. I tend to visit the grocery outlet store two blocks South for better deals and friendlier employees.

The ladies who manage the self check out area, are by far, the best in the industry. They are beyond friendly and personable. Names not be mentioned as they are always working, rain or shine.

Pharmacy employees are rude! Merchandise is always good. However, there was only one employee on the floor and no check stands were open, only self-checkout. The self checkout was malfunctioning and it requires an associate to fix it after scanning every item. There were 5 customers all having this issue at the same time and the associate was definitely frazzled over it. Recommendation: dont go there after 10 pm. Shop during the day or evening or youll have to deal with this issue at the self checkout.

If you have to catch at Auburn Station, get there a minutes earlier and go check out the Safeway Deli, or do a bit of shopping before to head out to.They are open at 5:00 AM, great staff as they have to put up with all the commuters that have a very early start to the day.Well done ladies.

Was trying to get food got into a fight because this woman and man was saying races statement then the woman put hands on my friend then her husband hit both of us yes a man, police was called but Safeway never address the situation safe has not said nothing not even a phone call, letter nothing! Its sad when you cant even order food get attacked for being black

This Safeway is honestly the most sketchy store Ive been around in Auburn, people are always loitering in front of the store like the second your not looking your stuffs gone, the store smells like moldy trash, milks past expired sometimes, staffs really annoyed, parking lots like a trash landfill the list just goes and goes. The only reason for 2 stars is the deals safeway gives on some snacks and foods.

Good people but Safeway lets people steal large amounts of product! Also a couple of employees said teenagers can come in and have them open the liquor cabinet give them a bottle and they cannot refuse them. Seems like a terrible policy and illegal.

Customer service counter takes a while, but the clerk was really doing a great job. She helped several people at the same time, and while stressed (apparently) she still was kind and courteous. Needs more staffing (management!!!)

Fair pricing. Most staff treats you like your a pos thief. Security guard is a huge B to anyone and everyone. Personally experienced cause i looked homeless with a backpack one day. Sorry i had to use a bus and backpacks are much easier to carry things in.

First time in a Safe way supermarket it reminded me of Publix supermarkets. Good prices and friendly employees.

This will be low on my list to shop any more. Had items in cart at checkout, but once again their digital app, would not work right. Clerk asked manager, but they said, sorry you will have to call the number on your receipt. So you wont override and give me the discount? Nope...Well thats a problem then, if you are not giving me the discount in not buying so no receipt! And how is this even said for those that are low income and have no smart phone?? They dont get the discounts, and they need more than anyone else. Bad form Safeway/Albertsons! Too many other choices to be treated poorly by you!

These are the kinds of lines that Safeway finds acceptable. When I asked an employee if they could call more checkers she said they were not allowed to fully staff at night. It was 730 on a Saturday night.

Safeway remodeled the aisle so you dont know where anything is until you go back enough times you will remember where everything is and wont be lost going from one end to the other again and again. Highly recommend Safeway to shop for food because its the Safe~way to goLol, 😁💛😎💙😄

I dont shop at Safeway often because I live close to Fred Meyer and Fred Meyer prices are generally lower than Safeway, especially fresh produce. Occasionally Safeway has something I need (in the case of my last visit, C&W Ultimate Stir Fry vegetables) that Fred Meyer doesnt carry. The staff are friendly, the store is clean and well stocked. I like to stock up on Coke when they have the Buy-Two-Get-Three-Free sale, but the registers at this Auburn, WA location dont have the handheld price scanners so I have to manhandle each half case to the belt to be scanned. Then cart them the one mile walk home. (I dont drive)

The Chinese food section of the deli has collapsed. The food is just horrible. The rice used to be light and fluffy and absorbed the sauce perfectaly. Now its hard and tastes undercooked The terriak chicken tasted like curry. The chicken was tender and juicy now its dry and hard. Such a disappointment.

I was waiting for about 15 minutes for three drinks and the only reason why it took that long was because she was moving so slow. I will never go back to this Starbucks inside of this Safeway again

Love the gas prices and the fact you can use your Safeway points to get discounts on gas

I would give 0 but you cant. Its my day off went to the store with my children 12, and 16 bought a few groceries I forgot and a bottle . The cashier at self checkout thought I was trying to get my CHILDREN DRUNK . Very embarrassing wont ever go back!!!!!!

First time needing to try order/pick up service with any grocery store. Had recent surgery do not up yo actual in store shopping. Really appreciate the ease of using the app. The whole experience was great.

They just never seem to have enough cashiers and the self checkout is to confusing because the computer makes orders you cant always follow quickly enough. Very clean and well organized and stalked. Great people....just need to hire more help.

I love to shop at Safeway because their fruits, but today it the worst... nothing wrong about the fruits, the employees just stares at me while I’m picking my apple and dragon fruits! I can’t believe that they stared at me until I go pay my stuffs!I have the right to pick the fruits I likes!I don’t think I would came to this Safeway again!

I really like the Post Office inside the Tumwater store, and most of the tellers here are pretty cool and enjoyable. I enjoy Safeway, their brand products, and their employees are always very helpful..been going here for about 30 years. Have always enjoyed their florist area and meat shop.My only frustration is the long lines in checkout, and l dont want to check & bag my own groceries..yeah, Im behind the times. 🤠

Felt very unsafe parking and was almost not going to go inside. Auburn needs to clean up their city. Parking lot is not safe and I will not be shopping there again. Sad it is getting worse and rundown.Plus had issues with deli ladies and they bickered over giving out samples yet they have a Starbucks where people drink without wearing masks. Overall I used to like Safeway but they need to get customers safety in check.

Inside of Safeway is great. Nothing wrong at all. Its the outside. I was sitting in my fiancees car waiting for him to come back out. Well its a warm day & had the windows down. This is whats creepy, Im reading an article on my phone & something caught my attention, in the reflection on my phone. Sure enough a person of color was looking inside the car as if its his own. He was under the influence of some kind. I screamed & asked if he needed help. He said nope, walked around the parking lot. There are ALWAYS sketchy people hanging out her. I rarely go here.
