I came by last Saturday after a Friday night “hiccup”. I came by early just as thing were opening. The person behind the counter had a vast array of questions from all sorts of shoppers. Their personal knowledge lead to a purchase to fit the needs of everyone that came in! After much deliberation and banter I was sold on a replacement. I love this store! I take kratom so I don’t have to use pharmaceutical pain killers and they have a great selection. I’ve been going to this location for over a year and hands down the staff...Link....Ian.... they’re great! Always friendly and incredibly helpful and well informed about product. For kratom in Texas there isn’t much in the way of choices.... but if you’re looking try this location first!

These guys will find what you’re looking for. I got a quartz piece made for me cause I wasn’t crazy about their current stock (which presumably rotates frequently). I had a conversation with Jay that day, ended up ordering something through their connections that was made locally. Payed half up front and the rest when I picked it up. Was told to wait a week and sure enough got a phone call it was ready the next Friday. The price was great and the piece is exactly what I was needing. Big thank you to Jay and Eddie. They’ll get you taken care of.Also stop going there to shop for stuff you’re just gonna buy on the internet. They can’t pay their rent and provide good service and selection to us when you do that. Support local. Buy something from them.

The staff here is super friendly, and not in a fake way. They greet you when you walk in, let you know that theyre there if you need help, and then they generally leave you alone unless you ask for help or look confused. When you do ask even novice questions about their different glass-pieces they help you find your answer.The prices are really decent for most of their products, and Ive never felt unwelcome or ignored by any of the staff.

Hands down favorite Smoke Shop in all of Austin. The absolute best selection of glass in the entire city, and surrounding areas! The headdies are out of this world, and very reasonably priced! Ive noticed that the staff/management or even maybe the owners, will periodically come through the store and markdown TONS of the pendants, rigs, and accessories- keeping them at the top of my list every time I come down to Austin! If youre a glass artist, especially semi-local, hit them up before stopping by and arrange a meeting with their buyers at their purchasing location, as the buyers are not in-store usually.

Wonderful and friendly owner!! Greeted me as soon as he saw I was looking a bit confused (I was looking for something a bit old school.) He is honest, keeps the shop tidy, and I have never had a problem with him at all. Such a well organized and tasteful store and the glass pieces are so mesmerizing! Usually smoke shops are hard on the eyes with all of the product on the walls, but this one is easy to navigate. I also really appreciate that this place and the other smoke atx store doesn’t have p*rn all over their walls just to sell a product. Service is always fast and friendly too!

Really chill, yet very professional smoke shop! A couple of friends and I went recently and we all walked away with a purchase. There glass is pristine and the staff are super personable! Though if you are looking for a tobacco shop this is not the place to go. They have a mild selection of cigars, but only have your typical selection of loose tobacco (reason for 4 stars).

Friendly atmosphere every time I go there. Best prices Ive found in town on Al Fakher tobacco. Tried a few other shops that were closer to me (I remember at Planet K it was literally twice he price), but Smoke ATX is worth the drive even though its a little bit out of the way.

Smoke ATX is my favorite shop in Austin, by far. They have a huge selection (not the largest though), decent prices, and a wonderful staff.Almost every time I walk into their store, Im instantly greeted by one of their employees asking if I need help with anything. If no help is needed theyll let you be as you walk around the store looking at all the wonderful glass pieces.They also have replacement parts for just about everything they have in-store, thats probably the best reason to buy from them, for me personally. For example, I have an Extreme Q vaporizer that i bought from their store and I have accidentally broken connections, needed new custom meshes and everytime I go there, there is either the exact part that came with my item or a part that fits and works just as well, LOVE THAT.Stay classy ATX

Sad to see some one put down Ellen for she was the one who help me pick out my now favorite peace of glass! She was helpful and is very bubbly! Been a local in the Austin area for my whole life and I can easily say that smoke.atx has the best shops in town with a selection of high to low, quality and price. Smoke atx is also one of the few local shops that are retailers of sovereignty and mothership. The staff also actually care about you and will cater to whatever questions you have.

No one ever has the kind of coils I need they just dont need them! My vape is an OG! I called all over South Austin looking for them. Smoke ATX said yes we have them come on by when I got there Jayden (i dont remember HIS name) got all of my coils they had in the store and gave me an excellent deal on them!!! He was the Best! I was sold the wrong battery to match the cartridge I bought at the same time and could not return either one. They didnt have the battery to match the cartridge or a cartridge to fit the battery, so I had to go to a different shop to get one to fit the cartridge. I do not recommend this shop.

I too (as many of the previous review go), have been a customer of this store for well over 3 years. I have spent a tremendous amour of money in their establishment and send numerous people to their store every month. I have purchased over 15 (e-cig) type devices and had many problems with them. Typically they are broken upon purchase or break shortly after. I have been annoyed on occasion when they promised to replace a broken unit and the story was changed by the time I could make it to their store. I sent my personal assistant in a few weeks ago to purchase one of these devices for herself and it broke within 15 days of use. We do not live in the area so we must make the trip when we can. Wen we arrived at the store, David told us that they could not replace her battery, even though we were spending several hundred dollars on that visit. He became quite rude and honestly it was enough for me to not visit again. I will be looking for a new shop and will stop sending customers as of today. Way to go guys.... another crappy review. Perhaps you will start treating customers better before you loose them all!

Ordered online, after a week with no contact called them to find out what was going on and was told it was out of stock and they sent me an email and refund already, which they did not. After contacting them again I got a cancellation and refund the next day.Would not recommend this shop especially their online website.

I bought my first e-cig from an online retailer. It had no instructions and I was using it incorrectly. It also immediately fell apart. So I quit. That is - I quit quitting, and quickly resumed pursuing an early and expensive tobacco-induced death. This afternoon I went into to Smoke ATX praying I could find something thats less like a laser pointer and more like a cigarette. The guy there (Brian) nailed it. He sold me an affordable e-cig and recommended a flavor I was allowed to sample. I had my money out and didnt ask for more help, but he showed me precisely how to prime the heating element and told me how often it should be replaced. I was also shown how to properly refill the cartridge and how to make the battery last. He was incredibly helpful and thorough. That kind of customer service is incredibly rare. Im a devoted customer already. Thanks Brian!

I stopped by here because a friend needed to grab this weird specialty battery that is sold in stores like this. I purchased a few novelty items just for the hizzy-heckin diddly doo. I took them home and I am enjoying the sweet smells the products release into the air. The staff was courteous and knew a lot about the products, and when more customers came in and the business became busier, an extra staff came out to take care of all the customers

I miss having a smoke shop full of abundant smoking essentials around the corner from my house. Smoke ATX came through when I was in a clutch every time. Its a bit pricey but I figure its bc youre paying for convenience. I would pay more if I had a shop that close to me now.

Scarce inventory and incompetent staff.The first trip we were told they didnt have lighters when they did. I even bought one, but wish I hadnt, since it doesnt even light. I asked for a Makers Mark corona cigar and the employee tried to give me a robusto or toro.The second trip I made to return the lighter that doesnt work and tried to pick up some other stuff as well. They dont have hot plates or natural coals. We had to teach an employee what a hose adapter with a ball bearing was. While checking out, the employee just left us to take a personal call on the personal phone of someone who had just walked in. After finally finishing with checkout, the employee ignored my request to return the lighter and kept trying to replace it. I said I needed one with an angled flame and pipe tools, just like the one I bought. When they didnt have any, not a single employee in the store could refund my purchase. I had to wait until some guy named Jay was there to get a refund, with no definitive answer as to when hed be there. So I guess Im just expected to keep going back and nauseum and hope hes there? Screw that.

These guys sold me a box of coils for my worn out CROWN tank, that had leaked from the start...like every other tank I have purchased elsewhere. They suggested a different ohm coil and voila! No leaking after over a week and smokes better than the day I bought the original tank. Longer battery life and uuuge clouds. Plus, they sell UNFLAVORED. I like nicotine not strawberry cotton candy. Nor fake tobacco flavors either...why add extra chemicals when you don’t have to? It’s why I started vaping over cigs...damage control. VG PG and nicotine. That’s it...these are the same carriers w lung meds, used for the last hundred years. Granted not chronically, but just the same, evidence of being fairly benign. They carry all the great flavored brands too, so no worries for the flavored users out there. Shop here. These guys are pros and really nice to boot.

I stumbled in this establishment yesterday in search of a new pipe for my collection. I had never been there before but was greeted by a very happy and enthusiastic female employee. She was very knowledgeable and showed me all the pieces I wanted a closer look at and even let me air hit my dream water pipe. I ended up with a very unique local bubbler which is now one of my favorite pieces. The only con of this place is they sell Kratom, which brings some shady people around. Overall very pleased.

Maybe its the general high cost of items in Austin but the prices here were really high compared to other similar stores Ive been in. Admittedly this is the first time Ive gone to a smoke shop in Austin so they might be normal for the market here. My biggest issue was that the item I asked for was not what I got. I picked a particular glass item and when the guy wrapped it in bubble wrap I didnt notice he had grabbed the wrong item. When I got home I unwrapped it and realized it was not the item I asked for. It was unusable for me because it doesnt fit the pipe it was bought for. So I dug out the receipt to find their phone number to call about exchanging it only to discover my receipt had multiple places where it said no returns and all sales final. Also this was the only time I have seen a tip jar in a store. Im used to tip jars in restaurants but to expect me to tip you for ringing up a purchase in a retail store is absolutely ridiculous.
