Dr. Irshad and his staff are exceptional. Through the entire process beginning with just considering laser cataract and lens replacement to having both eyes complete and restored to 20/20 vision. He genuinely cares about the patients full understanding and comfort levels. A rare find these days. I highly recommend

I have nothing but praise concerning the process from start to finish that I have recently experienced in regards to cataract surgery that was recently performed on my right eye. (My second surgery, which will be performed on my left eye will take place in two weeks.) The office staff was kind and engaging, making sure to encourage questions concerning my visit. Tests that needed to be performed before the surgery diagnosis were painless and thorough. Dr. Irshad is top notch in his professional, yet personal manner. I felt that he allowed plenty of opportunities for questions, and each question was answered with clarity and patience.

From the moment I entered the Eye Clinic, I felt valued and cared for. The entire staff I dealt with were very warm, friendly, and compassionate. They explained every test and procedure and answered each question I had. Dr. Irshad was very thorough and explained the procedure in great detail with layman’s language. He provided a link to an extremely informative set of videos which helped calm my fears about my upcoming surgery. There was never any hesitancy about proceeding with my cataract surgery after receiving the positive results of my visits. I was very nervous about having eye surgery. I had already put it off for a couple of years and knew I needed to not do so anymore. Surprisingly the doctors and staff and at Eye Clinic of Austin made me feel very comfortable. The day of the surgery I went in, waited a very short time, went to sleep and woke up and it was over. It was a good experience. I am having my other eye done next week. I recommend Eye Clinic of Austin to anyone who needs their ophthalmologic needs met.

As far as Im concerned Dr. Irshad performed a miracle on my right eye. I was blind in that eye because it had one of the densest cataracts Dr. Irshad had ever seen. The surgery was painless. After surgery I could see at all focal lengths with the Panoptix lens. After the same surgery on my left eye, I could see clearly without glasses to read, to drive, and to watch TV. All of the staff at the office were professional, caring, and very kind. I would recommend Dr. Irshad and the Eye Clinic of Austin to anyone. Dr. Irshad is seriously a miracle worker!

I did my research and decided this was the place I needed to try for a Lasik consultation. They have multiple doctors onsite and the Lasik practitioner, Dr. Irshad, at Eye Clinic of Austin also teaches the practice. Dr. Devitt is excellent and also very helpful with making sure you are a good candidate. They dont want to sell you something that is not right for you! That made me feel very comfortable going in for the consultation. While being evaluated for Lasik my eyes were double checked with different equipment and everything was overly explained (which I really love). I had my consultation on Tuesday and they were able to fit me in for the procedure the following day (at my request). All of the staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and compassionate. The office is very nice and everything is well sanitized. I listened to and followed all of the directions for the actual Lasik procedure which made it all go very smoothly with instant results in better near sided vision. Parking is easy and the location is easy to get to as well.---Not related to Eye Clinic of Austin---I previously had a consultation at another clinic with a doctor that was visiting multiple clinics across Texas. They told me I wasnt an ideal candidate and PRK was recommended. I couldnt handle the time to heal for PRK and let them know. They called me back the next day saying they could do the procedure for Lasik because they found another setting on the machine to match my eyes. I was not confident with that clinic so I put off Lasik for 2 years while I did more research and eventually found Eye Clinic of Austin.

After reading Dr. Irshad’s bio and the latest cataract surgery that was available through the clinic, I made an appointment. Dr. Irshad made sight-saving recommendations regarding the treatment of my glaucoma and the benefit of my undergoing cataract surgery in the near future. I subsequently had both of my cataract removed by Dr. Irshad, and I could not be happier with the results. I’ve seen the reviews that patients weren’t seen in a timely manner, so thought I would post that my appointment was the opposite. They called me back before I had completed the forms. Dr. Irshad was EARLY seeing me, and spent plenty of time with me. Dr. Irshad and his staff were very nice and the whole experience was very pleasant, indeed.

Completed first eye cataract removal and lens implant. Everything proceeded smoothly and as planned. Great anesthesia team ensured that I was comfortable throughout. Can see great -- better than expected; stopped wearing glasses even though my other eye wont be fixed until next week.

I just completed having cataract surgery on both eyes by Dr. Irshad and I’m very pleased with the results. Colors are brighter, everything being fuzzy is gone and the glare while driving at night is gone. Both procedures were quick, easy and virtually painless. I’ve been using E.C.O.A. for close to 15 years now and they have always done a great job of caring for my eyes, from my routine checkups to this Cataract repair. Honestly the clinic is not bad but it’s connected to the LasikPlus center. We were sitting in an open area and the secretary for the eye clinic basically yelled at us saying if you are here for the LasikPlus you need to move to their side or go out in the hall. There was nobody waiting for a seat and she could have handled this situation in a much nicer manner than what she did. She carries herself in a manner that in my opinion feels like she’s better than others. I could tell from watching her attitude and demeanor. I couldn’t believe someone could talk this rudely to strangers. I’ll be back for the specialized care but I hope to never deal with such issues as what I encountered.

I love the Eye Clinic of Austin! I have been seen at the Eye Clinic of Austin for over a decade. They have provided quality eye care, have assisted in scheduling appointments during times I lived out of state or country and would only be in town for a few days, and have demonstrated genuine care and compassion toward me and their other patients. The last time I had an appointment here, I had received discouraging news just prior to my appointment and was having a hard time. All of the staff were very kind during my appointment and went above and beyond to talk, listen, care, and make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed during the appointment. I moved to Austin upon retirement in 2010 after living in Dallas my entire life. Starting over with ALL new doctors was quite the task, as I had seen the same physicians for forty years, in some cases. I am so pleased with Dr. Henderson. He spent the appropriate amount of time with me, clearly explained everything in laymans terms and was extremely professional. His staff is outstanding and his facilities are top notch!

If I could give a four and one half stars, I would. First time with Dr. Henderson and this clinic, and I found him professional, competent and efficient. His staff was courteous and knowledgeable. The facilities are laid out for quite a workload of clients. The half star loss in my rating stemmed from having to wait for a room to become available and then an additional wait for equipment to become available. Possibly, they made too many appointments for that day. I intend to return and would highly recommend Eye Clinic.

Dr. Devitt is amazing. After years of suffering from dry eye and from a lifetime sentence to Restasis medicine which never seemed to work, she determined that I have evaporative dry eye which is better treated without Restasis. She had me use moist compresses and a warm sleep mask and in 2 weeks my tear break up time went from 3 to 7 seconds! Definitely visit her for your dry eye solutions!

I started seeing Dr. Henderson after having a retinal detachment in 2001. He is now the only doctor I will drive into Austin for. (I live in Round Rock.) A few years later, he performed cataract surgery on each of my eyes, and I consider him the main reason I can see as well as I can now. In his waiting room, I have sat beside other patients that were referred to him by their Ophthalmologists when theirs could no longer help the patient.I like to go to the best, and he is the best.

Dr. Thomas Henderson made it possible for me to be without glasses that corrected my near sightedness and astigmatism for the first time in 61 years! He directed my choice of lenses for cataract surgery, then performed laser surgery on each eye. I love being able to drive without glasses and (now that Im free of cataracts) I LOVE being able to see the street signs! Dr. Henderson also took kind and careful care of my husband who had brain cancer. I recommend him highly.

What is commendable about the Eye Clinic of Austin? the reception staff is friendly and attentive, and they immediately got me in when I had light flashes the night before ; the optical department is very helpful in choosing a pair of frames and was very accommodating when I was not happy with my transition lenses; Dr. Hendersons nurses are warm and the techs have expertise in administering the various eye tests. Lastly, you know Dr. Henderson is the best there is for taking care of your eyes, and being diabetic, that is very important. They even have a blink therapist on the staff, who taught me exercises to help prevent dry eyes!

I’m not a patient of this eye clinic, but I have been a patient at another eye clinic (Austin Eye), where I had a pretty terrible experience, left a Google Review to describe the experience, then was verbally harassed online by them with a bunch of very unprofessional name calling, followed up by legal threats to force me to remove my review.With all of this in mind, I must say that the Eye Clinic of Austin has responded the most professionally and courteously to their 1-star reviews than I have seen elsewhere. Out of all the clinics Ive been to, whether it was for sickness or injury, this clinic is by far the best Ive ever been to. First of all the clinic itself looks like a 5 star hotel lobby, the ladies at the front were cool as hell & took care of me every step of the way, especially the brunette one (I forgot her name). The asian optometrist was cool af too. I dont know what I liked better, my newly 20/15 vision or the service I received here at this clinic.

My PCP and Orthopedic surgeon are there. I enjoy the care there. Lab, radiology, and PT also are there .... can have PT, lab and radiology if needed on same day at same place. Love UTHA.

Hes thorough and knowledgeable beyond any I have ever found. His staff is efficient friendly and professional and the equipment for testing and diagnosis brings the latest advances in eye care to his patients. I trust his choice of Dr. Irshad - in fact he performed my recent cataract surgery in an excellent manner and I know that my husband and I will continue to be patients of Eye Clinic of Austin .

My first appointment with Dr. Henderson was in 1986. He ultimately performed cataract surgery on both eyes (in 1987). I was a young cataract patient (in my mid-40s). I have continued to see Dr. Henderson ever since.... even the years that I lived in Colorado! Needless, to say, I have utmost faith in his care!

Ive been getting my annual eye exam here for years. Dr. Prosise always give me good advice and is very thorough in her explanations/answers to any questions I have.The staff from the front to the back is friendly and more importantly well trained.
