I recently went in for an annual appointment. Staff was very nice and professional - checkin was very quick and even though I was early, they were able to take me back to start my appointment ahead of schedule.The doctor was also nice/professional and took time to explain images and answer any additional questions.Lastly for glasses: while looking, their help was great (nice while also being honest) in helping you find the glasses you want/knowing what to look for that will suit your face best.Great experience overall!

My family and I have been coming here for years and we have always been treated so great. Amazing customer service and everyone is always very professional. Highly recommend if you are looking to go here for your eyes :)

I dont think that measuring pupillary distance should cost like $40. So, if you are not buying glasses here and just want to get a prescription, prepare to pay for that. Maybe $40 is not much but its just ridiculous to ask money for measuring the distance between eyes with a ruler.

Dr. Barnett and his team are so accommodating. I am a dentist in Steiner and my dental loupes needed to be fixed. Lesley took me in as a walk in and made me feel like her number one priority. She avoided me sending out my glasses for replacement which saved me so much time and money!

I have been going to Steiner Eye care for about 5 years and every time I walk into the office I remember why.The doctor is patient, knowledgeable and has a fabulous “bedside manner”. Today he identified some changes to the health of my eyes via the optical mapping that I don’t think you could notice without the historical pictures and with my vision insurance it’s very cost effective. He patiently answered all my questions and calmed my worries. I completely trust him and was surprised at his memory of the glasses I had when I first came to him, which were too small to work well for progressive lenses. I had no idea I wasn’t getting the most from my prescription until I went to Steiner Eye Care. This expertise and personal care is why I moved my business for good.And I can’t say enough about the office staff. I love that they help me pick out frames I never would have tried and that invariably get me compliments. Even better, I know they’ll be honest if something doesn’t look good on me, which is so important since I often can’t tell. They are always friendly and helpful and focus heavily on customer service. As an example, I snapped the frame in half while cleaning my glasses this weekend & even though they are out of warranty (2 year warranty, which I thought was excellent), they jumped through all kinds of hoops to find a frame that would fit my lenses, had it overnighted, and I had working glasses the very next day. Even better, they gave me a discount on the frames and didn’t charge the overnight shipping so I could save my insurance for a new pair with my new prescription and use my current pair as a backup.I highly recommend Steiner Eye Care!

I cant say enough great things about Steiner Eye Care! From the moment you walk in and are greeted by the awesome staff, you know youre going to have a great experience. They have had the same staff working there for several years, so you actually build a relationship and they get to know you by name. Dr. Barnett is quick, knowledgeable, cordial, and is a fellow Longhorn - what more could you ask for? I plan to return next year to get some new frames :)

Dr. Barnett and his staff are the utmost professionals. I’m 60 years old and I still learned things about my eyes that I didn’t know before. Dr. Barnett took time with me to help me better understand my options as to how to increase my eyesight, considering how to best approach my eyesight at work (computer monitors) and in general out in the world. I was able to choose 1 option that works for everything! I am extremely happy with how everything turned out!! Steiner Eye Care is the best eye care center I have ever been to. Went to see Dr. Clay in Steiner Ranch today and he was awesome. Loved the experience. Loved his staff and was super happy with their facilities. Very reasonably priced since I dont have eye insurance. Also, they nailed my prescription. Ive never seen this clear before. I feel like Ive got eagle eyes, able to spot a fly on an ice cream cone from a thousand yards out. Anyways, Ive been going to the eye doctor for 15 years now, and I can finally say that I have found my guy. By the way, it was super easy to book an appointment. The appointment reminders were nice, if a bit excessive.

Dr. Barnett is the best! The whole staff is super friendly and they have an awesome selection of glasses. They also have really cool technology to screen your eyes without dilating. No more walking out of an optometrists office seeing funny. I highly recommend Steiner Eye Care!

This is the place to go! The eye exam was great. Dr. Barnett was really nice and I really appreciate that him took his time to give me a very thorough exam. It was easy to make an appointment online and they had appointments available right away. They had a really good selection of glasses in the optical. My prescription is a little bit tricky but they took their time to explain all the custom options for me, so I can get the best vision possible with my new glasses. I will be telling all my family and friends about this place!

Having never worn glasses or contacts I had no idea where to start, but visited Dr. Barnett on the recommendation of a friend. He took the time to walk me through the basics of vision and corrective lenses, and his staff is extremely helpful and friendly. This office is definitely worth the short drive from Austin.

Extremely satisfied! I walked in and was treated so kindly. An appointment was set up and then when I asked for one sooner as my eyes were really bothering me... I was given one! Clay did everything possible before my appointment to try to get in touch with my insurance as we were having issues with it(even waited on hold for a LONG TIME and was still pleasant to me! What patience!!). He was knowledgeable, personable and I was then helped with picking out glasses. Picking out my first pair a year ago was dreadful... the man who helped me gave honest opinions and was pleasant, funny and I believe made my decision that much faster and easier. I walked out confident I had an awesome pair! By far, this was the best eye doctor experience I have ever had and I would HIGHLY recommend their services. Extra bonus for me I only live 2 minutes away.Not to mention... Just got the call... LESS THAN A WEEK and my glasses are in! Amazing!THANK YOU STEINER EYE CARE!!!

My visit to Steiner Eye Care is exactly what the standard should be for your doctor visits. Dr. Barnett was incredibly friendly, extremely thorough with my consultation, and down to earth. The equipment was state-of-the-art and made for a simple and quick visit over my lunch break. I highly recommend this office, as I have been to several optometrists and this has been the best experience by far.

I do not believe I have ever written a review but I HAD to. I took my 3rd grade daughter in today for her first appointment, new to glasses and all. The team made her feel so comfortable with the idea of wearing glasses, their bed manners were more than I could have ever asked.

Wonderful place and amazing people at this eye care. My son had trouble with placing contacts on his eyes, and the person at this clinic was so patient and did not give up on him. She was with him the whole time and finally got him to put them correctly in his eyes. The staff were so friendly and very clear about the charges that will incur during our visit before hand. Thats always helpful. The doctor was very patient, explained the exam results in detail and was checking on my sons contact fitting every now and then. I am truly happy that I moved to this place and the best part is that they are open until 7 PM two days in a week and you dont have to worry about getting late appointments.

Moved to Austin 2 years ago and resisted finding a new eye doctor until I heard about Steiner Eye Care.Dr. Barnet greeted me at the door and the entire experience was positive after that. I would definitely recommend him!

Not very impressed...called about needing to buy contacts because I ran out while traveling in Austin...first person I talked to said it would be no problem, told me to have my doctor fax the prescription...called back to say fax was on the way and a different person answered the phone and told me they wouldnt be able to sell me any at all without an appointment and it would take a month for them to arrive . If thats the policy of this office thats fine, I understand, but at least be on the same page.
