This was my first visit to Bristol Eyecare. It was a pleasant experience and Dr. Bristol, alias Superman was great. (Halloween week). Cutting edge equipment for eye diagnosis as well as a plethora of choices for eye glasses. Loved it!

Fantastic service and an Incredible OpticalTo keep things simple, lets just say I am super picky. I’ve got to try on at least 20 pairs of glasses before I can even begin to make a choice!Luckily, I’ve had Optician Kayley there to help me out! Let me tell you, this woman is potentially the most energized and personable human being on this planet when it comes to helping me pick out glasses!I’m a big glasses person, so I stop by all the time just to see what new frames they have and every time she is there ready, willing, and able to help me out. Any questions I have (and man do I have a lot), she is immediately on it with a detailed response. In short, she knows her stuff!Lastly, one thing I really love about this place is the aesthetic options I get. Lens color, mirror type, lens material, ANTI FOG (I can finally see again!), etc.They really have got it all. Plus, most options come with detailed charts and examples to show you what your glasses will end up looking like!

Very pleased with Dr. Bristol. He got my new contact prescription correct the first time. Working with the contact and glasses side, however, has been a nightmare. No one returns calls. Left 5 VMs over a 3 day period. No call back. Finally had to ask for a supervisor. Now in same routine trying to get my glasses. Never going back.

Great experience with Dr. Lea. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Dr. Lea took the time to listen to my concerns and ended up figuring out I was wearing contact lenses that weren’t meant for astigmatism. She recommended a new kind and it has been a dramatic improvement. The office utilizes the latest technology and their selection of frames is great. Highly recommend.

So I finally caved in and got a pair of actual sunglasses, and not just some cheap ones from the convince store. Friend of mine mentioned he picked up a pair of glasses from this place and raved about the service. I don’t wear prescription glasses like he does but he insisted.I work in the area and was reminded I wanted new shades when I saw the sign and so I dropped in, before I could even finish walking in through the door, I was immediately greeted by Kayley, (I hope Im getting her name right)I’ve never seen someone so enthusiastic about their job, she was on top of things, asking what I was interested in, we went over style of glasses and gave me an honest opinion on how different pair looked on me.I was in the market for some Oakley sunglasses but after my visit, I learned that I honestly don’t look good in them and decided to go with a more classic look with a pair of Ray Ban aviators.After discussing what all I was interested in finding it turned out they didn’t have exactly what I was looking for right then, but Kayley (again hope I spelled her name right, super nice) she was able to order some shades in the style I wanted.It didn’t even take too long for them to come in, and I was able to swing by and pick them up without a hassle.Super friendly service and aside from the large amount of options, even more through their system. Most likely coming back if I ever want to get a new pair of sunglasses! Thanks Y’all!

I completed eye exam at Lakeway location which was great and went immediately from appt to Bee Cave to select glasses. Waited for a while while looking and both employees helped two other customers that came in after me. When I asked front desk and one of the techs helping someone since I was told no appointment was needed, I was told they don’t make appointments for glasses and I could come back. Not a good experience!

I tried contacts for the first time and one got stuck in Mayeye due to my lack of experience. These ladies were so sweet and help me get it out and we’re the nicest people ever about it they didn’t try to force contacts on me or get me to purchase anything else what a nice wonderful bunch of people!

Super friendly staff; Adrian was knowledgeable and professional; Dr. Bristol listened to me and quickly developed a plan for my eyes. All appointments should be as easy as this one was. Definitely recommend Bristol Family Eyecare.

I was extremely impressed with Bristol Family Eyecare. The online appointment booking service was flawless and easy, not to mention I was able to get an appointment for the next day, which was awesome. Their patient intake process is easy for their covid policies/restrictions. I was extremely impressed with Hunter (the eye technician) who was extremely pleasant, knowledgeable and personable. Dr. Bristol was great and was not in a rush like most doctors are. My contact technician was just as pleasant as Hunter and very professional. I found my new eye clinic! Thank you guys!

My daughter went in to a GP due to headaches. He suggested that she see a neurologist and she made an appointment, which was for several weeks out. Two days later she went to see Dr. Bristol because her vision had changed. He looked at her, asked some questions and told her he was going to facilitate getting her in to a Doctor ASAP. In my opinion, if he didn’t save her life, he, at minimum, saved her from some very bad things happening. I can’t thank him enough or speak highly enough of him and his practice.

My husband, teenage daughter and myself visited this office over the weekend, our visit was great from start to finish. The team did their part to keep us safe and the office sanitary. Adrian was friendly, professional and efficient. Dr. Lea was was also professional and informative. We are happy to found this office in our new area.

Amy was super and patient helping me learn and get comfortable with my contacts. I had one tear taking it out, leaving behind a small sliver that I could neither feel or see. She called later in the afternoon to check in and then reached out to the Bee Cave office to fit me in after it seemed there was actually a piece left behind in my eye that was beginning to cause irritation in my eye. Dr Bristol was able to locate the offending sliver and remove it. I was really pleased with the unexpected follow up call and being able to get in to get the contact piece removed. Ive been going to Bristol Family Eyecare for over 6 years. Ive historically seen Dr. Bristol but recently have been seeing Dr. Lea the last few years. Shes fantastic and was willing to answer all my questions. Great people, great facilities and COVID protocols are strictly followed.

I’ve been coming to this office for at least 5-6 years, and it is super awesome, especially for anyone with covid safety concerns. This office takes the best covid precautions that I’ve ever seen a business take, and for the first time in nearly a year, I felt completely comfortable being indoors in a public place; they have you wait in your car and call when you arrive to get checked in so that your time in the office is limited, they sanitize equipment immediately after it is used (I watched an employee spray and wipe down all the equipment literally as soon as I walked away from it), they have air purifiers to target anything airborne, and everyone there is wearing good quality masks that actually fit how they need to in order to be effective. Also, Adrian did my initial tests before the exam, and he was great! He was able to get everything done super quickly in only one take and with no discomfort, even including that one test where a tiny attachment on a tool quickly darts under your eyelash (for me and my extremely sensitive eyes, this is unheard of). Dr. Bristol was great as always, too, conducting my exam quickly while also making sure to explain everything thoroughly and address any questions I had before I left. I’ve literally never reviewed a business before and am honestly shocked to see how long this is, but during these times, businesses like this one are truly so important! Thank you guys!

Our family of six have been patients and fans of Dr. Bristol’s for 15+ years. I’ve been a CRT user for 14 of those years and love the freedom (without surgery.) My wife’s vision has been a moving target for the last ten years but Dan has patiently kept up. Kids are all happy with the service. Most of all we love Dan’s holistic approach screening for a number of potential health issues that can reveal themselves in the health of your eyes.

I am a first timer at Bristol Family Eyecare and I loved the experience. Everyone was friendly and professional. Dr. Bristol took time to answer questions and offer solutions. I decided to go for contacts and Carol was great. I wasn’t rushed through the process of selecting new eyeglasses, which was nice and they made sure I knew what my insurance offered and told me about great discounts. They are very serious about COVID-19, and take great precautions. I felt safe going.

Always friendly and professional. The front staff and back staff are equally fantastic! They are extremely helpful and very efficient at getting you in and out in a timely fashion. I have found them to be outstanding with follow up care (i.e. frame adjustments, etc.) as well. Overall, a great choice!

Marketing Oriented Practice.I just once inquired about eye exam, but was never a patient of theirs. They insisted getting my email address right from the start of the conversation. Since then they started bombarding me with marketing emails. I called them and asked to remove my email from their mailing list. Here again today, after a year, they start sending again. I gave my email address to a couple dozen healthcare practices, doctors, clinics, dentists and pharmacies. None uses my email address for anything other than patient-doctor communications, except this one.

Dr Bristol and his staff made my experience very enjoyable! I have not needed glasses in the past, so I was very nervous for my appointment. The staff made me feel so comfortable with everything that they performed. They were very educated, kind, and willing to take the time for their patients. Dr Bristol found a freckle in my eye. He explained everything very clearly and made me feel at ease with the plan to monitor it going forward. He answered all questions and really took the time to make sure that I had all of my questions answered. Their glasses selection is wonderful! They have a wide variety with the most stylish frames. The lobby is very clean with refreshments and snacks while you wait. I didn’t have to wait but 3 minutes though. Overall, I would definitely recommend that you try out Bristol Family Eyecare! 10/10.

This is my new go to eye dr! The office itself is beautiful and welcoming, and the staff are all so friendly! We were greeted by Carly who is an absolute sweetheart, very professional. Dr.Bristol saw my wife and I, and took time with each of us to explain what he was seeing, our prescription, how they would change and our options for protecting and caring for our eyes. Then we saw Addie who hooked us up with contacts and 4 pairs of glasses! She took the time to let us browse, went through all of our color options, gave price estimates, and was very thorough. Our contacts were ready within days and all 4 pairs of glasses arrived sooner than they were estimated to. We got prescription sunglasses on Dr.Bristols recommendation to protect our eye health and we are loving them! We both also got regular glasses, and my wife got blue light filtering in her prescription. She also uses prism which can be tricky to get right, but Dr.Bristol nailed it! They also have snacks and coffee in the waiting room, and all exam rooms got great cell reception. BIG thanks to the team at Bristol Family Eyecare!!! We will definitely be back.

Best eye doctor experience by far! Dr. Bristol and his staff were excellent! From scheduling my appointment to buying glasses the process was so easy. I couldn’t have picked a better place. The office environment is very clean and is very welcoming. Dr. Bristol answered all the questions I could possibly think of. After my exam I was helped by an optician to pick out glasses. Her knowledge of what looked good with my face and the type of lenses I needed to correct my vision was impeccable. I just got my glasses back and I LOVE them! I had a good experience with Bristol eye care in previous visit .I saw Dr Lea .However, this time I saw Dr Bristol .I felt he was in a rush and did not give more time to the patient as expected.However, I was impressed with the covid 19 precautions in the eye clinic and friendly nature of the eye technician who took my pictures.

Fast, friendly, and thorough. The “eye jargon” was explained to me in layman’s terms from the insurance coverages to the eye tests thru the exam and onto the science within contact lenses and eyeglass lenses. This staff is patient, friendly, and informative. Oh, and I can see better than Superman now. Definitely give them a call.

The absolute BEST!! I’ve never gotten warm fuzzies over an Eyecare business but I love these people! EVERYONE is so helpful and nice and accommodating. I’m a customer for life!!

Do not see this practice for medical issues with your eyes. Both doctors gave me an incorrect diagnosis. I only went to Bristol first because I couldnt get in with the ophthalmologist for two weeks and I needed antibiotic drops immediately. Dr. Bristol wouldnt give me drops at the first visit, so two days later I convinced Dr. Lea to see me again, while I practically had to beg for antibiotics. Then they sent my prescription to a pharmacy in Lakeway instead of the agreed upon one across the street. My ophthalmologist immediately knew what was wrong when I finally went in for my appointment, and I still needed a different antibiotic with a steroid because my eye hadnt healed yet. What a mess. My family will never go back.

The techs provided courteous, knowledgeable services using the latest eye exam technology. Dr Lea firmly reminded me that I need to use the prescribed eyedrops to delay onset of glaucoma. I appreciated her emphasis on following my prescribed treatment. Andrea was very helpful in selecting glasses that were both affordable and attractive. I highly recommend Bristol Family Eyecare

The staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The location is convenient and it was easy to schedule an appointment. They were great with my teenage daughter and very patient teaching her how to place and remove the contact lenses. (Thanks, Carly!) Prices for contacts and glasses are a bit higher than expected but the products seemed to be high quality.

The team at Bristol Family Eyecare we’re prompt, professional and friendly. They quickly repaired my glasses and helped me to pick out a new pair.

Went for an exam. Was diagnosed with cataracts. Had cataract surgery performed by specialist recommended by Bristol. Specialist recommended expensive laser surgery. Opted for standard, well proven surgery. Ended up with detached retina in left eye three weeks after surgery. Had emergency surgery performed by ophthalmologist Dr. Young. Scheduled appointment with Bristol for correction glasses on right eye a day after surgery. Arrived on time, with left eye bloody and still hurting from surgery. Was shown into exam room (without cell phone reception) and was asked to wait. So I waited. After half an hour I left. Nobody took notice. I felt like a number... They lost a potentially long term customer, by creating an environment with an attitude. Happily signed up with less glitzy, down-to-earth doctor at the lens crafter / Galleria.

I had my eyes checked. Their technology is very advanced and precise Looking forward to coming back for my follow up.

After a long period of time where my spouse was unable to get an optometrist who was able to adjust his lenses (he’s very farsighted and needs contacts that he can use for both near and far distances), he finally found Dr. Bristol, who was very patient and who finally was able to provide him with the right fit.After years of wearing progressive eye glasses, having given up on contacts over 15 years ago, Dr. Bristol recently fit me for contacts, and whereas I still need reading glasses for reading close up and for fine print reading, I am now able to work at the computer and read traffic signs, which was becoming hard to do with my progressives.Bristol Eyecare is in Lakeway; we currently live in Wells Branch, which is 45 minutes away from us, rush-hour traffic not-withstanding. When we first started going to Bristol Eyecare we were not much closer in. There are plenty of optometrists in the area where we live, yet we continue to go to Bristol eye care. That says something about the level of service.

As good as it gets. This is a GREAT business. Trust me, 32 years as a CPA, I know a good business. A lot of that time representing physicians and their offices. Dr. Bristol and his staff are both highly skilled and highly personable. Equipment is state-of-the-art (no more eye dilatation given their technology) but they are not trying to use it to mark up their fees like happens so often (think dentistry!).Fees are spot on in line with any optometrist out there - including the big box brands and given the service and family atmosphere, its a value. Been in Bee Cave 2 years. Finally found time to get a new optometrist. I can assure you the look is over - Im a patient for life. Simply top notch and you owe it to yourself to receive this kind of care and attention.

The staff is knowledgeable. I had a problem with my glasses falling down my nose. I thought it was the nose pads that needed to be adjusted. It was the bow was shaped in a way that pushed it down. They fixed it. It’s nice to know you have a company where they know how to adjust your glasses.

I have been a patient for a long time. When I began to have signs of the possibility of Macular Degeneration Dr. Bristol got me in touch with a retina specialist immediately. As a result of Dr. Bristols careful following and quick action the specialist was able to completely reverse the Macular Degeneration. I credit Dr. Bristol with saving my eyesight. In addition he and his staff are friendly and efficient. It is a pleasure to do business with this doctor. I also consider him a friend and highly recommend him.

Having recently moved in the area and in need of an eye doctor, I noticed the office off of Highway 71 and Bee Caves Parkway. I am extremely please that I did. The location is bright and airy which also reflects personality of the employees. Dr Bristol has a wonderful friendly manner putting you at ease. My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Bristol since he opened his doors for business. Initially it was because his office was across the parking lot from my office. Hes changed locations, and we now work/live in central Austin, but my husband and I drive 40 minutes to see Dr. Bristol because:1. hes extremely thorough2. he uses the latest technology3. his staff is super4. we never have to wait5. the exam last about 45 minutes.In total, hes a terrific optometrist and we highly recommend him.

Last week, I was struck in the eye and had terrible pain. I had no idea where to go and my aunt referred me to Bristol Family Eyecare as she and her family have been going there for years. Im so glad she did! As it was an emergency, they got me in that day and were nice and polite. All of the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The office is pretty and clean. I would gladly send my friends and family there as well.

I like that they offer a variety of ways to make your vision better. Transitions contact lenses sound good. Were trying them out this year.

Beware. Ive had glasses since the 1st grade, so Ive had my share of experiences and this was the worst yet. I went in for a regular eye exam. Theyve never seen me before so they had to figure out my prescription from my glasses and a machine. I went through the exam and took my prescription to LensCrafters, since Ive gotten my glasses they them before. I was shocked when they told me that my eyesight apparently improved from my previous prescription. Of course this was wrong so I went back and had them take another look. The good thing is that it was free. My eyes were reexamined and, surprise, the 1st prescription was wrong. However, I thought the 2nd prescription could be wrong again because I, apparently, no longer had an astigmatism in my left eye. I got the new glasses and after over a week, I still feel like Im walking on uneven ground. I dont trust them to get me the prescription I need and I wont be returning.

Awesome doctor, friendly staff, great selection of glasses.Saw Dr Bristol for my eyes and I really feel he and his staff went above and beyond. He was genuinely concerned about my eye problem and checked several times to make sure his readings were correct. He was very patient with my son and seemed to actually like children.There was a great selection of glasses (really hard to just choose two pairs!) and I got them fairly quickly. Plus, when I had a problem with my lenses they were happy to help. I would highly recommend them!

I have been a patient of Dr. Bristols for two years. I just had my annual visit a couple weeks ago, and luckily my vision is holding pretty well. Im 52 years hold and have had glasses now for at least 25 years. Over those 25 years, Ive been to many offices, but I dont think Ill be changing doctors or where I buy my glasses any more.Im so impressed with him and his staff, that I think my whole family is now going. Here is my favorite thing, once you set your appointment, he is ready for you on time. Unlike other doctors office, where you show up on time and then wait an hour. This to me is another sign how how well the office is run and managed. In addition, they are not constantly just trying to sell you glasses and frames, they care about what is right for you.I would recommend anyone looking for a new eye care professional to come to Bristol Family Eyecare.

I tried Bristol Family Eyecare strictly because of convenience fully expecting to have to go elsewhere to get cool frames once my eye exam was completed. But I was pleasantly surprised to find a number of frames that worked for me and had the fun factor I was hoping for. The staff was efficient, welcoming and knowledgeable. And if that wasnt enough...I was offered a discount for purchasing a second pair of glasses! That often happens when shopping for ho-hum frames, but not when I shop more exclusive frame shops. Bristol Family Eyecare has made me a believer!

The staff at Bristol Family Eyecare is wonderful. I had not had my eyes checked in quite sometime, so I was unsure what to expect when I went in. But from start to finish, everyone made me feel comfortable and would explain in depth if I had any questions .

This was my first visit with Bristol Family Eyecare. My daughter has been a client for years and highly recommended Bristol after my complaints from other eyecare. The associates were very professional and helpful and I had the most complete eye exam. Dr. Bristol inquired about problems I may be having with my vision and glasses and they were all addressed. I picked up my glasses yesterday and have the clearest eye sight and best fitting glasses that Ive had in over 50 years of wearing glasses. I highly recommend Bristol Family Eyecare.

I made appointments for my childrens annual eye exam at the end of last years eye exam. We have been doing the same scheduling for the past ten years and we never missed a single exam.During this year, just a week before the appointment time while we were vacationing in an area with poor internet and cell phone connections, we received a message saying that if we dont confirm our appointments with Bristol Eyecare, our appointments would be cancelled. The reason Bristol Eyecare gave me was that our appointment time slots were in high demand due to the winter break. Once I had access to the internet and cell phone service, I called Bristol Eyecare and left a message and also emailed the office to confirm our appointments. Since then, I did not receive anything from the office. When we went to Bristol Eyecare today, we were told our appointments were cancelled because I did not speak to anyone in person at the office. Leaving a message or responding to an email did not count.Apparently, it is acceptable to a) ignore patients after theyve tried to contact you, b) blame a patient for ones own lack of communication and clarity. Bristol should at least call us back to make sure we were notified. This is the worst service a customer could have experienced.If you want a practice that actually respects you and your eye health, I would recommend elsewhere.

Very detail oriented, and catered to all my needs! Having two young children, including an 18 month old, they made the experience more then enjoyable! Huge selection of designer frames as well! Always a plus!

They were able to accommodate me as a new patient fairly quick. Very thorough exam and friendly staff. Glad I have an experienced and knowledgeable group close to home. Im definitely in good hands.

Incredible. Dropped-In due to an urgent ophthalmological need, [2 days earlier went to a doc in a box but eye not looking good]. Was seen in less than 15 minutes (hid in car until then). Prescribed antibiotics, eye drops and instructions. Dropped-In again 3 days later on a SATURDAY (because bad stuff always happens on weekends) to make sure all was still going in the right direction. The attending Dr. [ON A SATURDAY] checked me, confirmed instructions and gave me samples of lens wipes to try. Made a formal apt the next Tuesday, was seen in less than 3 minutes, and eye is GREAT.We are new to the area and had only used the office for a routine appointment the prior year. Staff has always been very friendly to myself and husband. Insurance paperwork is taken care of w/o issue. Absolutely thrilled and grateful. -- K Ireland

Stumbled into Bristol Family Eyecare due to an eye medical emergency. Dr. Lea is amazing! She gave me thorough procedures to follow (and scared me enough to follow them), that my eye was feeling much better within a day. The entire staff is welcoming and conversable. I have not met Dr. Bristol yet but I can assume that the welcoming personality starts from the top. Lage selection of frames as well. Glad to have found an optometrist in Austin.
