He has surrounded himself with quality people who were also kind, helpful and took care of the insurance paperwork and helped me find new frames that Im in love with! Very impressed. It’s been years, and my experience with Dr. Jacobs and staff was so poor, I’m finally writing this review. I went to Dr. Jacobs for a number of years. Every year my eyesight got progressively worse and I had to increase my prescription. I also deal with fairly dry eyes. I tried a few new kinds of contacts (more expensive of course) in hopes of relieving some of my dry eye symptoms. After receiving my year prescription, at least three pairs tore within a 2 week period, something I’d never experienced before. I was instructed to stop wearing the contacts and they’d help me switch them out for something different. I called once a day for over a week with ZERO feedback about when I could expect my new contacts or what was going on. I was in college at the time, so my mom finally stepped in, also confused by the hold up. They still had no answers to provide, but insinuated I was harassing their office and Dr. Jacobs. Furious, my whole family moved to a different practice. Upon my first visit, my new eye doctor immediately diagnosed me with astigmatism, gave me the appropriate prescription and contacts, and (GUESS WHAT) my prescription has never changed since that first visit! My Dad, whom Dr. Jacobs has waiting for YEARS for his cataracts to “mature” was told they were almost the worst they’d ever seen and his eyesight so poor due to the cataracts shouldn’t have even been legally driving! They immediately scheduled his cataract removal and for my dad it was life changing. Go anywhere else, though I HIGHLY recommend Oak Hill Eye Care!

I used them for years, until I noticed their prices compared to others around town. They are extremely friendly and professional. Dr. Jacobs seems to be a great optometrist from the little I know about the profession. My only concern is their prices. You can get a standard eye glasses exam for around $50 at other places, Eyeworks charges $95. The frames for glasses seem to be more expensive as well, my last pair was $400. If you have money to burn, this place is great!

Dr. Jacobs and his staff are amazing people. If you care about your vision and want to be treated the way healthcare was intended, this is your place.

Very disappointed with the increased cost associated with purchasing contact lenses through this provider. Lenses from Target, Costco, nearly every online retailer sell for 50% less than what I was charged by Austin EyeWorks. Very disappointed.
