I am a loyal customer of Optique downtown. The store is clean and everything is always in order which helps me identify the kind of pairs that I want easily! The best part is the staff! The staff are very attentive and patient. I am a very picky person and have a hard time making my mind up but the people who work here give wonderful advises without putting any pressure so I always leave happy and come back to this store! I love the experience I have at Optique. I was greeted with a smile and checked in smooth and easy. Only waited a couple of minutes and immediately was attended to for my yearly appointment. Everyone was professional and so happy that it made me happier. Dr. Ibrahim was down to earth & professional - I appreciate the millennials striving to be at the top of their game! I’ve been going to Optique for a couple years now and have always had a great experience. I recently visited Dr. Ibrahim for an eye glass exam/ contact lens fitting. He was very friendly, professional, thorough, and really took the time to get to know me and my vision history. If you’re in the market for a new optometrist, I highly suggest requesting Dr. Ibrahim!

Was able to make an appointment the night before with no problems. Getting there was easy. Checking in, wears super smooth and fast. The exam itself was great. The technician (Sorry if not the proper term) was very thorough, polite and easy to talk to. Dr. Zemanovich was amazing! Easy going, straight forward and answered all my questions. All in all the whole process took about 30 minutes total. 5/5 Will definitely be going back again!

What a shame. I was referred here because they carry Jacques Marie Mage eyewear and I was due for some new eyeglasses through my insurance. Upon entering the completely empty boutique I was greeted, and I asked where the JMM eyewear was. I was shown the section, left with a bottle of hand sanitizer, and told to sanitize my hands before I touch anything. The guy walked away and stood behind me at a desk/island thing as I tried on a few different frames, but they actually had the pair I had seen online and really wanted. After no attempt to assist was ever made, or even figure out why I was there, I decided to leave. The phone rang and the associate answered, while continuing to totally ignore me. Didn’t even bother to say anything as I walked out. I guess online shopping wins again. 2 stars for the awesome eyeglasses. The jury is out on whether you can actually buy them.

Dr. Z is my optometrist, and he finally prescribed computer glasses that work for me, after several expensive tries with another doctor. The staff are very friendly and professional.SOLID FIVE STARS - but, PLEASE ask Seaholm to fix the abysmal parking situation. The latest, worst situation is giving up your phone number just to park! I really dont want to change doctors just because of this!

I loved the experience at Optique. Dr Z was super thorough and very professional. The staff was great. They helped me pick out the perfect glasses. I signed up for VSP individual insurance the day before my appointment so my glasses were significantly discounted. Highly recommend Optique and VSP insurance! The savings on my glasses more than paid for the monthly insurance premiums!

Dr. Z knows his stuff and I could tell that reviewed my records with detail and wanted to help make sure I walked out the door with all my needs met and my eye health best evaluated. It was a seamless appointment and the staff were on the ball with knowing what my benefits were and how to use them effectively for my visit. Dr. Shafer is very friendly, knowledgeable and thorough in her explanation during the exam as well as recommending options for good eye health. The staff is very professional, courteous and provided exceptional customer service. They are very helpful and can recommend some pretty great options for eyewear. I was very impressed with Optique! I was in and out in as little as 45mins maybe less. They had me wash my hands and took me straight back for the exam. Dr. Z saw me within seconds of walking in to the exam room, walked me through the results, grabbed me a trial pair of contacts and sent me on my way! Every staff member was helpful and friendly. 5 Star Service!

I’ve been going to Optique for the last four years and it’s the best I’ve ever seen - no literally. I have a nasty astigmatism in both eyes that made “perfect” vision impossible according to my previous doctors. Dr Z introduced me to custom contacts from the UK and I will never go back. How had no one else told me this was an option?! He’s a fantastic doctor with great staff and the latest equipment. Their glasses selection is the best in town (best place for high end fashion brands) Highly recommend! Oh and they’re great with insurance!

I love Optique. Ive been going to the Seaholm location for several years now because of the excellent service and great selection of frames. Sure it costs more than Costco glasses (which can be great), but I know that at Optique Im guaranteed a perfect fit. Plus they have great taste and I trust them to help me pick out the best frames!

Quick and efficient! I got there on time and they walked me straight to the machines to get the exams started. No 30 minute wait.People are friendly and the doctors will answer all your questions. Also, they send you a link to their portal where they give you a copy of your RX, which is literally the first time an optometrist has given me a copy of my prescription without me needing to call.COVID-Specific: they took my temperature when I walked in, asked me to wash my hands, and everyone was wearing a mask.

Ive very much enjoyed being a patient of Optique! My appointment during Covid was very fast and felt very safe and clean. The staff were all wearing masks and I was the only patient in the office at the time of my appointment.

I expected a much better experience considering the location, frame selection and other reviews.Beware of hidden costs! According to my insurance, I was supposed to pay out of pocket I approximately eight times (!) less than what I paid. The way that the costs are broken down and presented to the patient is unfair in my opinion and in turn benefits the office by charging much more than necessary.I am a college student, so I cant fork out hundreds of dollars on an eye exam when I could have chosen another office and paid much less even out of pocket. I read some of the reviews before going into the office, and although they were overwhelmingly positive, the main negative concern was about costs undisclosed to the patients. Now I know.In terms of the other aspects of the office: aesthetic was there, staff was friendly and helpful (except in terms of insurance and cost) and they have a great selection of frames. They also offer to price match on contacts which is great.All lovely, but not worth all the money and hassle.

**Edit** I came in to pick up a pair on contacts with my mom. We walked in and stood for a couple minutes waiting to be greeted. We werent so decided to meanander into the store to look at frames until someone assisted. My mom (senior citizen/retired police officer) made it about 8 steps and was belligerently shouted at by the female front desk staff member that it is appointment only and demanded to know if she touched anything. I was absolutely shocked at the rudeness. I live a block away but will absolutely no be back.They have been diligently working with me to find a pair of contact lenses that are comfortable, as the first couple pairs Ive tried were uncomfortable. Even with insurance, I paid over $200 out of pocket during my initial exam visit.

Over the last 3+ years I’ve seen Dr Z and Dr Whelan both and I honestly can’t pick my favorite. Appointments are easy to make, staff is extremely friendly and they offer a great selection of frames. My last 2 pairs of glasses have been from Optique but I’ve never been pressured to buy from them. I recommend them to my friends and family.

Recently went to Optique to get my eyes checked and get some new glasses. This was my second time ever going, but since my first visit the staff and Dr. Zemanovich have been nothing short of amazing. I went here yesterday for the first time and had an amazing experience! Everyone I interacted with from start to finish was so personable and helpful. Dr. Matthew Zemanovich listened to all my concerns and made great recs for my vision needs. I also was helped by two girls with trying on glasses that made my day! They gave me advice, but were not pushy at all and explained all of the pricing. Definitely recommend!!

Dr. Z is a great eye doctor, very thorough and always asks the right questions to ensure all eye related issues are discussed. I like that. And I like the staff who are always happy to adjust my glasses, reading, prescription or sunglasses..they are happy to help. And the location at Seaholm is cool since you can grab lunch at True Foods while youre there!

Overall it was a very good experience. I did feel a bit rushed; however, that is most likely due to the COVID-19 pandemic, rather than a reflection of the doctor. Also, felt like the prices were very high compared to other facilities - even with insurance I felt like we paid an arm and a leg.

The staff were very personable and professional . I was there because I won a raffle that they so generously donated for a Valentines event back in February. Thanks to them I was able to get an update on my vision— I haven’t had an eye exam since grade school. I was surprised and delighted that I didn’t have to have my pupils dilated and spend the rest of the day blind. Cool place you should go.

Be aware they will do additional screenings not asked for and charge extra without asking for approval. To make it worse the staff is rude when questioned about their charging practices.

It gives me comfort that the staff are open to complaints and will strive to provide exceptional service.Does not tell you that one of their routine check machines will not be covered by insurance and will make you pay for it at the end of an otherwise free checkup covered by insurance. Please be more transparent to patients about costs. Future patients be wary of this.They will probably respond claiming that they included this in some fine print of a long email and that the octomap is necessary for your safety etc. I could have just gotten my prescription for cheaper without insurance at any walk in office. Kinda ruined my day and my budget for the week and as well. If you sort by lowest rating you will see this is very common for this optometry practice! Do not be swindled by them!

Ive been going to Optique for a few years. The selection of frames is excellent. COVID19 procedures are in place right now. Customers are required to have a temperature check and wash hands upon entering, and keep a mask on at all times. The staff also wear masks. Theres hand sanitizer available. I didnt try on any frames but Im sure theres a procedure for that. As always, the service was great and the eye exam was efficient. The staff are nice and Dr. Zemanovich is great.

I like the store because they have a great selection and an excellent employee, named Brian. He takes his time and does an outstanding job. When I need anything regarding my glasses, I wouldnt see any else!

I had my annual eye doctor appointment yesterday at Optique’s Seaholm location, and I was impressed with the level of precautions they were taking in light of COVID-19. I had my temperature checked (non-touch) and used hand sanitizer upon arrival. The waiting room had chairs that were at least 6 feet apart (although I didn’t even have to wait longer than a minute or so before I was called back), and everyone who worked there wore masks during my entire appointment (myself included). It was a very quick & efficient visit, and all of the staff and Dr. Zemanovich were very friendly and welcoming. I love Optique! :)

Went in to get my glass frames straightened - very friendly reception. Met with Brian who took care of the frames advising that they could possibly break (they didnt) but advised me in the event they did. I would definitely go back when I need my next pair. Relaxed atmosphere and from what I saw, looks like a great inventory of frames to choose from. Thank you Brian.

I started going to Optique because they are very conveniently located. I continue going to Optique because they do a very good job.I have a condition in my right eye that was misdiagnosed by my previous optometrist, causing me to waste a few hundred dollars on useless treatment with no improvement. Fortunately this had no impact on eye health or long term prognosis. Dr. Z quickly dismissed the original diagnosis and identified what was actually going on, then educated me on the progression and future treatment.Service has always been good, accurate, and friendly. It is possible to spend quite a lot of money here. And I am quite happy to have done so and thus acquired the lightest weight best fitting glasses I have ever owned. They also have many less expensive options that are probably almost as lightweight and Im sure can fit quite well. It was worth it to me to go with the high end but I was offered many choices.I managed to catch the end of a bike handlebar right between my eyes one day. The glasses survived with no damage other than not fitting quite so well as they used to. I dropped by Optique one day and they quickly improved the fit. Over time I decided the fit still wasnt quite what it used so I asked them to try again. This time its perfect again, if not indeed even better than when I first got the glasses.

I suffered an eye injury on a Sunday and Dr Z and the team got me right in on Monday. They found foreign objects in the eye and were able to get me in with a corneal surgeon that afternoon. Great team and great care! Highly recommended.

Optique was incredible. My appt was super fast, didnt have to wait in line, and Dr. Zemonavich was super knowledgable and staff helpful. Will be back next year for my annual eye exam!

Such nice people! I got my eye exam there, and even though I bought my frames elsewhere (to save money), they were kind enough to repair them free of charge when they lost a screw. They have beautiful frames galore! Wish I could have purchased from them.

I love working with Optique! The appointments are always quick & easy but also thorough. All the staff is super friendly. I used to visit their downtown & then Seaholm location. This was my first visit to the South Lamar location and theyve kept up the clean, modern, welcoming interior. Ill continue to use Optique for my yearly eye exams.

Atmosphere was nice. Staff was friendly and polite. Experience was quick and pleasant. My only gripe is that the price I was quoted, twice by two separate people, for a cash pay anointment was apparently wrong? I even asked if there were any additional things not part of the initial quote of $107.30. I was told the $107.30 price was all inclusive for the entire appointment for a new glasses prescription. However I was charged $122.30 and there was no explanation on the receipt as to why there was an extra $15 tacked on. I am also confused as to why no one mentioned it in the first place and it just kind of showed up at the end before I left. Did you charge me for the complementary LaCroix or something?If you do go for an optometry appointment, just be sure to have insurance.EDIT: I have been contacted by the managers of the store and we have resolved the issue. I was refunded the $15 so I will change my review 5 stars as now my experience has been worth it.

A cute boutique optometrist with a super helpful staff. I was in and out in ~20 minutes and had no problems with my vision/anything during my time there. Im a little bummed that they didnt give me a copy of my prescription when I left (I like to buy my contacts from Sams because a girls gotta save $$$) but Im hoping that wont be a problem if I call and ask.

Atmosphere is nice but your paying for it. They dont provide the best service. Dont believe everything they say about renewing. Check with your insurance and get a second opinion. They said I had to get a new prescription for contacts because I was under one month from expiration. Interesting, I just order a one year supply from Optique Dallas with my Optique Austin prescription.

I had a wonderful experience picking out sunglasses here. The young woman who helped me was patient and spent about 30 minutes with me helping me decide what sunglasses looked best with my face shape. They also had nuts and chocolates sitting out and a comfy seating area. Its a beautiful store too. Why buy from the big retailers when you can buy local? The prices are the same!

When I visit my eye doctor, I never feel like I am being pressured to buy anything I dont need. I honestly feel like a rock star every time I go here. They have both sunglasses and eyesight glasses ranging in prices from very expensive to affordable. All their frames are current with the latest fashion trends, so don’t worry about getting stuck with frames from 20 years ago. All the equipment is up to date, and their medical forms are online, which is super convenient. They use a email and text message based system to confirm appointments, but if you prefer, they will also call. All around this place rocks!

He took all my info over the phone and was able to get my bennifits and explain everything to me over the phone. He was also able to get me an appointment for the very next day.
