Stay away from those gangsters. They will use shady practices to steal your equipment, telling you among other lies, that its too old to repair, then they will fix it and sell it. They mis-use their customers electronic signature and forge commercial invoices and internal documents. Highway robbery!  Totally unresponsive. No customer service at all. The worse business experience I ever had. All the positive reviews for this business are most likely fake. Scroll down to the oldest ones on Yelp to see more truth. ( something I should have done before dealing with those gangsters ). Just disregard any reply / comment to my post, and trust someone who has lost precious weeks thousands of $ dealing with those losers. After I took them to court I got my 2011 i7 27 desktop back and had it fixed for $300 or so somewhere else. It now works better than it ever did, and its not thanks to them.

They have the same No for 2 shops l, when I called they told they are open, however when I get there that store on 185 is closed. When I called again the told me the one open is close to Washington Square. I went to Best Buy instead.I might not see that it’s temporarily closed, but no one asked me when I called about which location I was calling and found out about the other store when I got there after driving 25 miles.

Its awesome place to get computer work done. Theyll also build you a custom computer if youre willing to work with them. They know their stuff.

Youll Rock, tried Computer Renaissance when I was up that way and all they did was try to sell me a **Brand New Used Laptop** and said my Best Buy Lenovo was cheap trash and you helped me in 15 minutes and did not charge me or down play my purchase. Couldnt have been a nicer group of geeks, which I say with affection. Brought in my laptop that couldnt hold a charge, identified the battery needed, ordered, replaced, and even cleaned up my firmware. I have a brand new laptop now, holds a charge for 8+ hours like it did when I bought it. Couldnt be happier.

Do NOT go here. I took my phone in for a shattered screen and as soon as they fixed it, the guy putting my new screen on cracked it so I had to wait another day to get it fixed and then they found another issue I never had. The camera is glitching now and my screen is being super weird when I’ve never had that issue before. I’m giving them 2 stars because Victor the guy who worked on my phone was very nice. But now I’m out of $140 and have to go buy a new phone.

I brought my Xbox 1s in due to my son accidentally dropping it and breaking loose the HDMI port. They fixed the port, but it failed within about a day, I brought it back in and they fixed it again at no charge. Very grateful for the professionalism and the satisfaction they are seeking from their customers. I will continue to seek them out for my electronic repair needs.

Mark helped me with fixing the screen on my iPhone as well as suggesting a decent phone case for protecting it. He was prompt in answering my questions, providing a concise price, as well as providing a time frame which my device would be done.Excellent customer service, patient, quick, efficient, and I even came back the next day to add some purple glitter sparkle skin to the backside of the phone. Called the both locations 2-3 times this morning and no one ever picked up the phone. I am sure they have great service but couldn’t even get on the phone with them to get service

They are NOT professional. I asked them to fix iPhone 6s Plus foggy back camera due to moisture. see attached picture. 4 days later, they returned bricked iPhone with repair charge. According to them, they ran the drying process system twice and were unable to bring it back. I just asked them to dry out still working iPhone but actually they damaged it and make bricked iPhone. Later on, other cell phone repair shop found improper wire connection and fix iPhone.

These guys are awesome. My dogs chewed my portable A/C cord in half. Now that Sears closed no one in the area repairs them. On a whim I messaged them through their Facebook. I know it was a long shot because they mainly repair cellphones and some other electronics. Turns out its totally in their wheelhouse. They also did it cheaper than some other place way far away. If you ever have some issue with electronics that you may not know what to do with. Give them a shout and see if they can help you out. They really saved me a pretty penny. Awesome store great people.

Several years ago when Microsoft was sending out Windows 10 installs, I finally had downloaded it. The download was faulty and crashed my computer. Thanks to BrainWave, they were able to retrieve my hard drive and get me back up and running better than before. Recently, I bought a new computer with Windows 10 already installed and had them transfer all my data onto the new desktop. They were most accommodating in transporting my computer from the 185th & Baseline store to their other location by Washington Square and then back again without additional costs! The transfer of data was a complete success! I highly recommend their expertise in not only repairing computers, but all IT issues.

This is the only place I found who could replace the screen on my 12.9 iPad Pro and at a great price! The parts are expensive and Joshua really took that into consideration when charging for labor which is incredibly nice. It took a little longer than anticipated but I was kept up to date with updates and phone calls every step of the way letting me know what was going on. I think the best part is that Joshua actually cares about the products and customers and wants to ensure any products fixed stay fixed and working for good. Ive used brainwave for years and always got good results on big or small projects. I no longer check anyplace else. I never give anybody the max score but they come close.

They were super great at fixing my phone quickly. I appreciated that they were open about their pricing (its pretty affortable btw) and called as soon as it was done. Hopefully I dont crack my phone screen again, but I know where Im going if I do!

Could not say enough good about this place. Honest fair people who want to do business by giving good service. Jeremy was a outstanding technician who from the get go was honest and upfront about my repair to my phone. Being faced with the decision of paying Apple $329 to do what I felt was a small repair or paying twice as much to get a new phone the $49 labor was well worth it. Got my phone fixed and couldnt say anything but positives about the experience. I hope never to need to make a repair to a cell phone again..BUT if I do this will be the first call I make!

I’ve brought my phone in to Brainwave Cellular twice so far, and both times have been amazing. The first time, I had my screen replaced. The second time, I didn’t know what was wrong, but Mark knew right away. Both times, my phone was fixed in the same day within a couple hours despite it being busy, plus the second time my phone was covered under a warranty they had on my screen since it was an iPhone. I definitely recommend these guys, they do fantastic work.

Fast, honest, and reliable. My son broke his new cell phone 3 weeks after purchasing from Verizon. Verizon told me I had to buy a new phone but in fact I did not. Thank you to Cellular Mekanix my son had his phone back in less then 5 days (due to having to order the part). Will definitely be returning for cell phone repairs.

We’ve taken two items: an iphone in recent weeks plus an ipad last year; both for screen replacements. No issues since repair of both items. Everything was fixed quickly. My phone within a couple of hours, which was most appreciated. Just call ahead if its an urgent repair, to get realistic time line that will suit your needs.

TOP NOTCH SERVICE, LESS MONEY THAN I THOUGHT. I was putting off fixing my phone because I assumed it would be expensive. At the end of the day, it was quite reasonable. BONUS: Same day service! They were able to fix the phone in-house while I ran an errand. Now I am unafraid of eventual screen breaks or battery fails. Ill just get it fixed!

I had an iPad with a shattered screen so I brought it to them. In a few days I had it back and I swear the screen looks better than the original. Great service and helpful staff. Having a broken screen sucks but already these guys will take care of it.

Honest Business. They were not able to fix my phone screen only because they could not find a part that worked, so they gave me a full refund. They then said that if I acquired an old phone of the same model, they would swap the screens for free. The only downside is that they do not communicate to you the status of your phone if there are any complications unless you call and ask. Otherwise, their service is great.

Brought in my wifes samsung Galaxy S7 for a new screen after it was dropped. Called first to get a quote - they were $80 less than the other place I called. No hidden or surprise charges when I came to pick it up. Phone looks and works great :) My replacement screen shipped a day late, but that wasnt their fault. Once it arrived, the phone was fixed the same day - fast service :) Will definitely come back the next time any of our phones need fixing!

Dear owner, you personally promised me to call back since I agreed to pay your price $60,and you didnt. Point! It is not fair to claim one price first time and increase it when I came second time. I think $60 for replacing rear camera doesnt look like charity. You mentioned that you were sitting in the back room when your technician was perfectly pleasant with me. My Iphone started acting up and wouldnt hold a charge. Looked into a local place other than the Iphone store to take a look at it. Found Brainwave on google and stopped in at the 185th and Baseline location in Beaverton/Hillsboro.I was greeted by Mark at the front counter and was immediately impressed with his courtesy and enthusiasm. Told him the issue Ive been having and he promptly took the phone and tested the battery. Confirmed it was a weak battery. Showed me the test report and explained what the optimum level should be and how poorly mine was preforming. He then explained clearly how it all works and that a replacement would be $69.00 and take about an hour. I said go for it. He then took my phone apart in front of me and explained the inner working of these amazing gadgets. In less than an hour I had a new battery and my phone was up and running. I would highly recommend Brainwave for phone repair and yes they are certified to work on Iphones and other brands. So glad I found them and soooo much nicer than going to an apple store!!!! Easily the worst experience I have had with a business. I will condense my experience in chronological order:1. Went in, paid costs for parts... and waited (they took down the wrong number, so couldnt reach me.)2. Part came in, so I took the phone to them. They did not have the proper tool to do their job (how?!), it should be in tomorrow... so I waited (they took down the wrong number, again.)3. Tool comes in so I take in phone yet again... this time they replaced the part, but it was not working properly (Im not surprised at this point). However, I once again continued to wait, because they did not bother to call and tell me I could pick it up, since they are completely incompetent.

So far Not so good.They said this time they order the right part.When it comes Ill find out how good they are.For now they are just waiting my time.

Good experience. The folks there were honest and straight forward. Diagnosis of my phone was pretty quick and the repair price was fair. And since my repair was done some months ago and is still working, Ill also call them competent.

I called BrainWave about repairing my tablet. It turned out that it was too expensive to repair, but I enjoyed talking to Josh, who was professional, knowledgeable, and clearly enjoys his work. He didnt try to lowball the costs to get me in the door, either. I would go to them in a minute.

It was much easier (and less expensive) to come here to get the battery replaced in my sons phone than dealing with our cell phone provider

I took my iPad into BrainWave Cellular to replace a cracked screen on my iPad. Alec was great explaining the repair process to me and I knew what to expect. Both Josh and Alec were knowledgeable and friendly. The service charge was more than fair and I feel that I received quality replacement parts. I will definitely be back the next time my kid decides to throw my iPad onto a rock again!

They replaced a battery in my phone in less than the estimated time. Unfortunately, the replacement battery was bad. I called and they ordered a new one right away and stayed after hours to put the old battery in for me so I could use the phone until the new one arrived the next day. In addition, they accidentally burned the screen but then replaced it for free, which was great because the screen was cracked! :)

Charger port quit working on my phone, it got wet in rain but not submerged. The guys suggested a water damage service and quoted me a price and timeline for the work. They performed the service but was unable to fix the problem without a part that was too expensive to be worth it. I went to pickup the phone totally bummed, when I pulled out my credit card to pay he waved it off and said its going to be hard enough having to replace the phone! True class act and so appreciated, thanks man! I will go here again if needed and highly recommend them!

Not only were they timely and efficient, they also explained exactly what was wrong and what theyd have to do. Other repair shops charged for just opening the phone, plus the repairs on top of that. The guys here opened it free of charge as soon as I said I was looking to repair it and an hour later my phone was better than new.

I took a trip to Portland Oregon and I guess the plane must have killed my phone I took it to brainwave it was tested and was pretty sure the battery had just up and died they replaced the battery and had the phone back to me within 2 hours phone works great thank you very much you did a great job

Battery in my Samsung Galaxy S7 needed to be replaced. I live in Florida, but was visiting Portland, OR. I got very lucky. A mobile phone repair shop that specializes in Samsung repair was out of batteries. They recommended BrainWave Cellular and I am thrilled they did. Battery and new transparent plastic screen cover replaced in 30 minutes. Customer service, from initial call to job completion was courteous and professional. Even though BrainWave receives far more 5 star reviews than anything else I was curious about a few, bad one star reviews. After reading BrainWaves response to a few of those it is abundantly clear that they did not deserve those poor reviews. Largely from bad actors who did something atrocious with their cell phone and expected repair miracles (and sometimes demanding a discount as well) from BrainWave. Count me on the side of the vast bulk of reviews - strongly positive - I could not be happier with the service I received from this shop and the very fair price.

I took a 12.9 1st Gen IPad Pro to them, which I admittedly got a little too ambitious with trying to repair and totally botched. They were able to clean up my mess and make and it a useable tablet again. Thanks guys!

Went in with a clogged charging port on my phone (to the point that I couldnt charge the phone) after several attempts on my own with a paper clip. Jeremy cleared out the lint and gave his suggestions for how I should clean it in the future. He insisted that it be on the house for such a minor issue. The whole process was about 2 minutes - very professional. I couldnt be more pleased!

Multiple bad experiences. They charged both a family member and I each $30 on the spot for water damages on a phone. Didnt hear back or get any updates 4 days later and when we went to go pick up the phone(s) they were still in the same exact state we had dropped them off as. They didnt give back the money either so technically a waste of $60 and time. Take your electronics somewhere else.

Camera in iPhone 6 plus was creating blurry photos. Cellular Mekanix in Beaverton repaired it by replacing the camera module. Very happy that this can be done and accomplished without having to ship the phone somewhere.

Just got off the phone with this guy about a LG phone that will not boot.He gave me advice without charging me a dime. If the advice does not work I will be taking my phone in for him to work on because clearly he cares about customer service to the max.
