This place is really neat. Really cool demonstration and unique chocolate items. Also, you dont need admission. The shop is free to enter and they have a free demonstration on how chocolate use to be made. You also get to try historic hot chocolate. Total time at the shop was about 20 min and we easily saw everything.
Underwhelming. I only was interested in the chocolate shop, none of the historical tours yet I still had to pay the admission fee. For an $8 fee I would expect samples or more than a small bedroom sized room of limited chocolate options. Would not recommend. We paid just about as much in fees as we did in chocolate... Ridiculous.
Really cool old candy store. Got great stocking stuffers for my nephews. Staff was friendly and helpful. Music was boring and old ... felt drab! Update those tunes!
I could listen to these wonderful people speak all day about the history of chocolate and the printing press. Wonderful experience. (And tasty vegan sipping chocolate.) Bought several hand-printed pieces.
Cool little printing press and store. The guy in the printing press new so much history. We really enjoyed talking to him. Wish he had been our tour guide.
We left laughing that we spent money to see this. The demonstration was barely anything. When it was over we couldn’t believe that was all it was. Definitely not worth seeing.
Super cool experience! Would recommend everyone go in and listen! The printing was my favorite
I would revisit this store for the smell alone, but never leave without a bag full.
Short but sweet.
Don’t come here when you’re in a rush; you’ll need to buy admission to Old North Church before you can enter Captain Jackson’s.
Really nice, such informative demo on sipping chocolate in early America
