This place can be a little tricky to find if youve never been here before. I walked passed it a few times, its not until I realized that there were business on the bottom entrance to each building. My boss introduce me to this place. I was not disappointed and my wife and daughter love their cakes.Their cakes are delicious, the only reason I rate them 4 stars instead 5 is because they dont have a large selection of cakes, but what they do have their cakes are fantastic. My suggestion to anyone who visits this place is check the menu before you go, especially at the beginning of the month. My wife and I had our hart set on a Black Forest cake and when we arrived we realized that, that cake was no longer on the menu for this month.Aside from that, like I said this place is delicious, but a bit pricey.
Very friendly staff! They do cherish and care the cakes they sell. I had to be on the go but needed to arrange a birthday cake, the staffs had me a bunch of ice caps on the cake and they set well in the back of car for 3-4 hours. Tasted surely good!
Pretty expensive- $10 for one slice of cake- but the cake is AMAZING!! Just wish the staff was kinder. Always pretty rude when I am in there. The cake is fantastic though, that is why I keep coming back. Love the matcha green tea crepe cake.
Lady M has the best cake in Boston!! Their cakes taste so good. I personally love signature, checker and earl grey the most, but other flavors taste as good. Their store is always clean. You always see the employees smile when you walk in. LOVE THIS PLACE!!
Newbury St and its surprises. Almost by the end of the road I found out about this little place where we can find one delicious type of cake. Everything is neat with a modern design decor inside this cozy spot. The walls, the lights, the box... Look at this little box! Now, about the treat itself hu-hum, so delicious. I had this chocolate cake that is simply amazing... the flavor, the texture, everything about it is splendid. Definitely a gem tuck in downtown Boston.
Although the cakes are little pricey, I think its wroth it. The cakes are so great. My family and I love the green tea mille crepes, its smooth and creamy with a litter bit of bitter. Best cake in the US!!
FROZEN CAKE! bad quality for such a high price....Came here because of all the hype, wish I never did.Dont come here expecting fresh cake. My cake was completely frozen in the center.
Definitely makes it to the list of “Things to do in Boston”Located in the heart of downtown Boston, this small place offers a variety of crepe cakes. Their Signature Mille Crêpe cake and the Green tea Mille Crêpe cake is a must try.A little expensive for that tiny piece of pastry but totally worth it.
I attended a birthday celebration and had the pleasure of trying two Lady M cakes! Matcha crepe cake and the strawberry shortcake both were delicious.I will give 5 stars when they have a pop up store in NH! And also in Southlake and Dallas TX! It’s the Difficulty getting into the city.. My pics are not the best but it gives you an idea of how beautiful your event/party table will look
Very much disappointed. Very much.I expected something unique from the cakes, but its just a crepe cake with too much cream inside it. No unique taste, no unique texture. Just crepes and absolutely regular and absolutely fat cream... crepes and cream... crepes and cream, damn it😡Thankfully they sell it by pieces. Cause buying the whole cake is just a waste of money. Actually buying a single piece is a waste of money as well. Will not recommend it to anyone and will never buy it again.
Best cake i had in life strawberry shortcake was the best very light and so good
Love Lady M Mille Cakes! Especially this location with its dedicated Red Bean flavor always available.
Immaculately clean and fitting their style, my only complaint is the lack of seating. There is one table with two seats outside and a ledge inside to eat at with no stools. Two people after myself stood there until I left and took the table and we were the only ones there. I cant imagine if it were busy.
I had one slice of their cake last year, and it impressed me so much. Guess what? I guess the Covid viruses shrink their cakes in 2020! It cost $9 per piece, at least, but the size of each piece gets so much smaller! How can LadyM have no stander procedure and trick customers like that? Shame on them! 🤔🤬
Lady M offers high-quality cakes you wont find anywhere else. The taste of each one isnt overwhelmingly sweet. And each cake has a unique design that is sure to be a hit at any holiday event or celebration. Packaging is somewhat plain-looking from the outside, and elegant on the inside. Some of their flavors are seasonal and in high-demand. So you may have to order ahead if you want a particular kind. Take a look at this bakery the next time youre considering a luxury cake!
I was THRILLED when Lady M opened up a location in Boston. The mille crepes cake is so delicate and elegant. I get two slices every time I go! But a word of caution, it does not travel well and does not handle anything over 50 degrees. If you get slices to go, ask for ice packs (they are complimentary) to keep your box cold and protect your investment.
Am I the only one who failed to understand the prestige associated with this place? Ordered 3 slices of crepe cake and two cups of coffee for a total about $50. The crepe cake was not bad, it tasted just like how it looked - layers of overly soft soggy crepe stacked together. Flavor was just average or even slightly below. The coffee was definitely below. Still, the store traffic was amazing.
Glad to see Lady M opening a store in Boston! The skip is clean and simple. Nice cake display. Nice packaging. The crepe cakes were superb, especially the green tea and the red bean flavors. The crepes were so thin, and the filling makes the cake tastes like heaven. The Mont Blanc was excellent too. The strawberry shortcake and other cakes were just OK, not bad, but for the price of $8-$9 per slice, I am expecting more in terms of quality, flavor, texture, and creativity. Service was OK, not bad, but not that friendly either
10 on 5, excellent crepe cakes!!!
My wife and I got food poisoning yesterday (10/2) after eating the Tiramisu crepe cake...thank goodness we didn’t give it to our son. For the chefs, please be more responsible in how you handle your ingredients.
Make sure to try the crepe cakes. They are awesome best cake in the world
Like the cake, taste great and we went there a few times. However, horrible service and rude attitude, make sure not to tip anything when the cashier screen popping out! What are we tipping that for ? They should be ashamed of asking the customers to tip for that kind of customer service.
12/13/19 Night shift casher was so arrogant and intimidating. Not a good person for service industry. I love lady M however I will not go there again.
Today I called 4 times to try to place order. They put me on hold, and just ignored it. If you are too busy to answer the phone, you can ask customer to call back later. Don’t waste anyone’s time please.
OMG, they make the best cake!!
Pretty good red bean cake. Extremely high class inside. The place is designed specifically for takeout, so there is 0 seating. Come grab your green tea or red bean cake and take it to go.Tons of locals and tourists bustling in here looking at the selection.
Extremely rude while Im in the store looking at the cakes
I went there to pick up my order and the cake is as delicious as usual. I still wont give this place a 5 star tho, cuz the pastry chef and cashier are both cold and impatient.
Great New York cake place. The staff was super nice and you definitely felt like royalty buying cake there. The cakes are super expensive ($8 per slice) but are also very well made and delicious.
The green tea mille crêpe is so delicious but the cashiers dont look like they are happy to work there.
Was very hesitant to try lady M due to the huge number of reviews that said it was overrated, very average, cramped, no seating space, rude service etc., but finally decided to try their cakes. Honestly I felt the negatives were blown up and over exaggerated. What I liked about the place:- very delicious crepe cake. I tried the rose crepe cake that’s seasonal and is available only once a year during the mother’s day weekend. it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Not too sweet, not too bland.- their chocolate mousse cake was very good too. Nothing too special about it but it wasn’t bad either.- quick service- nearly maintainedWhat I did not like:- too cramped, hardly any space to sit but given that it’s on newbury, can’t really expect much- they are pricey, about 9$ a piece of cake was too much given that one cannot even properly sit down and enjoy it.
We finally get their Asian inspired pastries in Boston😃They just opened on 6/24/2016.The green tea crepe cake had a lot of flavor and was very soft and light. Be sure to eat it chilled or it becomes soggy. Only negative is the price of $8.50 is a bit steep for the size but its not that easy to make...
The first time I tried them, I thought they were very very good, however this time I was not that satisfied. The cake did not seem that fresh and as soon as you enter the boutique, there is an unpleasant smell, I dont know if it due to what they serve or the poor ventilation, but it takes away from what they would like to advertise and serve their customers. Hopefully it will be better next time.
Had a slice of checkers there and it was absolutely delicious! I just wish they would have seating in store.
Awesome cake. Not too sweet, and tasted great.
I love Lady M and its great Boston finally had one open. They sell different flavors here but all the cakes are from NYC. Pickup only. No seats available. No delivery yet.
I wish I could give zero stars. The price is not right, terrible chocolate cake. Dried out sponge cake full of fat cream. What a waste of $10.00 for a piece of terrible cake...shame on you Lady M for ripping off customers.
It has some good cakes. Yes. But considering its fast-food level service quality (and staff’s “stone” facial expression), it’s overpriced, and recently became even more overpriced.
Best cake by the slice in the city of Boston. Loved coming here to purchase cake for my family and they loved the taste
No place to sit. A small take out shop. Came for the Boston only red bean flavor.
It’s Ok but overpriced. You can find the same or better quality at north end Boston and much cheaper. غالي جدا ع قطعة كيك. النورث اند احسن وارخص
CakeIve tried all the mille crepe cakes on the menu and most of them are amazing as expected. They also have seasonal cakes every month and so far, pistachio and chestnut are my favorite. The mille crepe cake on average cost $10 per piece.Everything elseIt is a small store in the basement. If you are looking for seasonal flavors, I would recommend you call before you go there.
Very rich and creative cakes born from 20 layers of crepes!!! We tried the one with cream and it was delicious. A bit pricy but worthy
Very expensive place !2 slices of cake can cost almost 20 dollars.Cakes are pretty good, but is it worth the price -- didnt feel so
No need to queue. Fetch the cakes very fast. No tables or seats provided for eating in the store.
Try the green tea crepes
Amazing mille crepe cake! Tried the original, green tea and chocolate but my favorite is definitely the original! Also tried the strawberry shortcake and checkers but I would say their signature product is the mille crepe cake
They don’t have a license to allow you to eat the cake inside the store (tables/chairs) so you’ll have to go home enjoy the delicious cakes. I’ve tried the matcha one and it’s superb. The bitter matcha powder evens out the sweet cream. The coconut crepe cake (only available in June?) is another story. It’s basically the original crepe cake with some shredded coconut on top. I thought it’ll have coconut infused cream so it’ll taste really coco nutty but it was more vanilla than anything else. The red bean is ok. It’s not great but decent
Best cake I have ever had
Awesome light cakes! You can get slices and eat at the counter.
On the pricier side. We like the matcha crepe cake. It is amazing and worth it!You can preorder your cake on the phone, but I have never had an issue picking up a matcha crepe cake without a preorder.
I like how the Matcha Mille Crêpe isnt too sweet and the cream inside isnt too heavy. I wont crave for it everyday but would love to try a different flavor next time!
Too too sweety, no service but charged for tips
The experience of a taste crafted cake is amazing, I recommend it for any time of the day.
Im obsessed with the matcha millefeuille. Tender and perfectly balanced. Only wish it werent so pricey!
Very expensive, very delicious! Creative and mariculture
Nowhere to sit, nice cake but not super flavorful, inside the shop is very... Sanitary and florescent .. like a hospital
They won’t let you get a sample even when you want to but an entire cake that costs $90. Staff is not friendly or helpful
The green tea crepe cake is great! Take out only.
Until open full in newbury st this local works fine for whole cakes
The cake is fabulous! but i dont know why the staff always look sad and make you sad too~!!!
Quite delicate cake, from whole one to pieced one while price is not reasonable.
Best. Ever!
Very pretty looking cakes that look delicious, however, I felt they were dry and tasteless.
Servers’ attitudes are not good. And using 85 C as a barometer, the quality does not warrant double the price.
Incredible cakes and pastry!! Love it!!!
Delicious high quality cakes at high prices!
Crepe cakes are very good and moist
