The ophthalmologists at this eye center are professionals who care about their patients. The front and service staffs are equally professional, friendly and helpful. Dr. Jordan was my ophthalmologist. She was awesome. After Dr. Jordan moved up to a managerial role, I now have Dr. Barajas who is also professional and equally awesome. 👓👍🏻👏🏻
Staff is quite rude and literally hung up on me. Two stars because the doctors are good. Perhaps they can do something about their staff in the future.
Long time customer - always great service
The clerical staff does not check emails and only do things over phone, so if you cannot call during hours of operation they will not get back to you either even on voicemails. Some staff are know-it-alls but not informative when explaining things. I was not able to pay out my bill until 2 months after the appointment because no one bothered reaching out by phone or email. I hope future staff can be trained on simply checking emails and voicemails because there may be patients with more urgent concerns that will be met with radio silence.The optometrists are all fine. No issues with them.
I have gone here for a decade. Always the best! Everyone is very helpful. My Doctors have changed over the years but the quality of service has not waivered. They are very thorough from start to finish. Eager to help you out with all your needs and problems. Very easy to be around, they will ask you what all is going on with your eyesight more than once giving you the opportunity to think about it.
I have suffered from very dry eyes since LASIK 2 years ago. I saw a doctor here who helped me find a solution to my dry eyes by recommending a unique eye drop and Pataday since I display symptoms of allergies. No other doctor recommended this prior and it has made a life changing impact for me. THANK YOU!
***VETERANS USING COMMUNITY*** CARE BEWARE!!This office has gone down hill. Ive gone there years before and had not issues. Now they have billed me twice instead of the VA and they have not returned a single phone call. Would definitely not recommend.
So, the Dr. calls in sick (which can happen, I get it) but you want me to re-book another appointment almost a month later? Sorry, that is not happening. Bye-bye CEC. You just lost a longtime very loyal customer. I will not be back.
Every time I go in their office is the worst experience. Gabby is the rudest most argumentative person I have ever met. No one in this office is accountable. Food luck trying to get a hold of a manager too. So disorganized. And no one calls you back. If they hadnt billed my insurance already I would leave. I can not wait til I never have to go in their office again.
I would say double check any and all billing concerns and questions you have before anything is done because they have no idea what they are doing in that regard. Otherwise fine eye doctor I guess.
The staff is awesome, they diagnosed my eye problems and have me on my way to see again.Please dont trust your eye care to the discount shops that dont know what they are doing, besides selling you glasses.I cant thank them enough for all they did for me!
I just ordered a pair of replacement glasses from Colorado Eye Center. I am very tough on glasses, and unluckily enough for me, blind without them. Stephani Adams assisted me with picking out a new awesome frame and getting my order in right away. Her patience was greatly appreciated because I am picky with glasses even though I am a total klutz with them! I will be ordering all future glasses with them.
I came back to the Broomfield location after being away 10 years, mostly because of the doctor I’d seen. I should have left when they told me he was no longer practicing. The exam I did have was good, but then the rest was just bad. 9 weeks it took to get the glasses I ordered. No communication AT ALL unless I called. Excuses about materials for the lab, we will make it right, etc etc. Weeks after I agreed to a different lens they showed up, again no call. I went to demand a refund and gee, they “just came in.” The manager agreed to refund the difference between the lens I didn’t get and what was ordered, and that was making it right. THEN 6 weeks later I get a bill for what was refunded due immediately!!! I called a different location to get the phone number for their central billing which nobody answered and voice mailbox wasn’t accepting messages, no other contact information other than a P.O. Box in Denver.My EOB from insurance showed an entirely different set of charges than the handwritten no explanation piece of paper that made little or no sense.Everything this company does seems evasive, secretive and unprofessional in operations. Something is entirely wrong if you cannot even contact the billing office directly. Someone has “checked into it” and call back, but of course no call yet. The Attorney General’s office and DORA are the next step. I’m beyond livid at this point.
I saw Dr. Paige for my eye exam, quick and easy, no waiting. She’s pleasant and knowledgeable and she fixed me up on my contact issues.Billing was excessive to say the least. Exam fees, $375.00. I then did the eye glass fitting and pricing, almost $1200 for a pair of Oakley frames and lenses and out of pocket after insurance was $580 something.....(New member to Costco). Then went to Costco optics department and found out their eye exam cost is $105 (TOTAL) and fitted Oakley frames and the exact same lenses for a total of $248.00, out of pocket $95.00. I say ADIOS to the Colorado Eye Center, shamefully over charging customers to the extreme.My bad for not checking Costco before repeating past years mistakes.
My yearly eye appointment went incredibly smooth. Dr Hotzman was kind, and patient with all my questions and concerns. My scheduled appointment was on time, the texting was efficient and helpful.
Called to confirm they took my insurance. They told me they did. Showed up to my appointment and it turns out they dont take my insurance. Also, the staff was not very friendly.
I asked for a safety data sheet for their optomap device before the procedure and I was told they didnt have it available. I asked for the model number on the device so I could try to find the safety data sheet on the internet and the lady scoffed and said she would have to move things on her desk to find it. I cancelled my appointment and walked out right at that moment. I would not recommend this place, they are highly unprofessional.
Initially i saw Dr.Hagen. I am new to wearing glasses and had a difficult time communicating with him during my eye test and appointment. A few weeks pass, and i get my prescription. It was incorrect.Their policy states that you go back to the initial doctor you had. I didn’t have a great experience, so I requested to see someone else and they accommodated me. I really appreciated this gesture.I saw Dr.Metzger and she was very patient. She re-examined me, and answered all of my questions. I received my new lenses, and they are perfect.The girls in the shop are *super* friendly and helpful when picking frames and getting adjustments. They really make picking frames fun :)Overall my experience has been great at Colorado eye center!
If you are going to the Colorado Eye Center in Broomfield -- dont count on your scheduled appointment time. My first appointment I sat in the waiting room 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment time. My second appointment I waited more than 20 minutes past my appointment time to be seen. I walked out of my last appointment after sitting in the exam room for 40 minutes past my scheduled time when I hadnt been seen by the doctor or checked on at all. I understand doctors run late -- but to run so late EVERY time without acknowledgment or a word of explanation from staff is unprofessional. I will not be going back.
My wife and I have been happy clients of Colorado Eye Center for many years. Dr. Hagen has been doing our eye exams to get the proper corrective lens we need to see very clearly for many years.The staff at Colorado Eye Center are also great. Everyone we have interacted with have been very nice, professional, and thorough.We are very impressed with Colorado Eye Center in taking care of our visual needs.
Dr. Hagan has been my eye doctor for many years. He is wonderful and always makes sure that my eyes are at their best. The staff is wonderful and friendly. They have many choices for glasses and the staff is really good about helping me get the best fit.

My eye exams have been thorough and he has certainly helped me with all of my eye problems. The staff is always friendly and courteous. I have been extremely satisfied with all of the eye glasses I have purchased and never had any issues. I would and do highly recommend them.

Reschedule my appointment, they sent another text remindering of my appointment, show up and they canceled againt. Very poor scheduling and keeping you in synchronization. Never recommend them against.
I went to get an exam and order my new glasses on Monday Feb 18th, I still have not received them. I was told usually about 10 days when I was there. Ten days came and went and I was told the glasses did not pass inspection. They had to remake and they would be there by end of the week. I was leaving for a road trip and would have loved to have them for driving. But alas, they never called. So today I call and ask if they are ready yet. The answer was, Well, they should be ready by Friday. I shared very politely my displeasure with the delay and explained that I didnt feel sorry was appropriate in this situation. I have now been delayed three times. I have been getting my glasses here for the last 15+ years. We just left after buy two pairs of glasses over 1000.00. My answer to THAT was well you can speak with the optical Manger if you like. I expected, Mr. Quintana we are sorry for the continued delay, I know we have told you two there times that they would be in and we failed to meet that and we understand your frustration. This would have gone a long way to keeping me a customer here for another 15 years. Loyalty, I guess is a thing of the past. I am not writing this in anger but rather disappointment. I find this situation to be completely unacceptable.

I have been going to Colorado Eye Center for a few years (Broomfield location) and have had excellent service every time I have been there. Everyone there is extremely personable from the front desk staff, to the technicians and the doctors. They all work hard to make you feel comfortable and are so cheerful. They make you feel like a part of their family. It is obvious that they love what they do. I want to also mention how helpful Betty is. She always goes the extra mile helping me choose my glasses. You rock Betty! ;-)
I have been going to Colorado Eye Center in Broomfield for 10 plus years. The service is excellent, the doctors are great and on time, and the whole practice goes out of their way to ensure complete customer satisfaction. I also want to give a shout out to Brittney who helped me get the frame I loved even though she had to order another frame in a larger size. She also noticed that my current glasses had a crack and let me know that the repair was under warranty and they could also be fixed. She went above and beyond the call to help me get what I wanted. If you are looking for an eye center youll be missing out if you dont choose Colorado Eye Center in Broomfield!!!
I was in and out very quickly. Everyone there was very courteous and answered all my questions. I had a great experience. not a huge selection of frames but I was still able to find a pair I liked and I am very picky.

To all the negative reviews on here: Yall made me believe that I was walking into a trap. I straight looked at my husband, before we ever even got out of the car, and told him that we were leaving if this place was as as shady as the reviews say.You guys, these are the nicest people I have ever worked with at any eye doctor Ive ever been to. We were literally greeted, BY NAME, when we walked in. We were new to the office so the fact that they greeted us by our names was shocking but totally awesome.The woman behind the counter was checking in another customer and told us she would be with us in a second. Thats cool. We got there around 3:50pm. My husbands appointment was at 4pm and mine was at 4:45pm so we werent in any hurry anyway. Once she was done with the customer before us, she checked us in and was perfectly pleasant! Because of these reviews, I was waiting for her to be rude to us BUT SHE WAS SO SWEET. I knew I was there early so I was not expecting to get check in and thrown in the back so quickly but they were very accommodating. We got in and out of there fairly quickly!The first gal I worked with, before I saw the doctor, was a total sweetheart. We had great conversation the whole time and she wasnt rude or in a hurry. She seemed perfectly happy to be there! She treated me like I was the only patient that she had seen all day. My eye ball was even giving the machine a hard time (it was me. not the machine.) and she didnt kick me out quickly or ignore it. She grabbed someone for a second opinion and made sure that I was totally comfortable with what was going on. Excellent. You think this review cant get better? WELL, BUCKLE UP. IT DOES.They eye doctor was AMAZING. She is new there and has only been there since January. Im kicking myself because I cant remember her name but she was so thorough and didnt pressure me at all. She asked the exact right questions to make sure I was getting a perfect pair of contact FOR ME. She doesnt believe that one size fits all so she sent me home with a couple different pairs to test out. She even told me to come back and let her know which ones I like best and theyll get them ordered for me. She also made sure to let me know that they dont charge for the follow up visit (talking to you, negative Nancy review down there). She also treated me like I was the only patient she saw all day and took her time with me. No other eye doctor has done that for me ever.My husband got fitted for glasses and had the exact awesome experience that I did. The staff was nothing but kind, sweet, and down to earth with us. Their prices were even really competitive. They were happy to walk us though what the insurance would cover and were very clear as to what we would pay out of pocket before we committed to anything.So help me, I will go here for the rest of my LIFE if theyll allow. I have been up and down the Metro Area in search for a good eye doctor and never left as satisfied as I did yesterday. These are some professional people with a lot to offer anyone who wants to give them a shot.

This place has the worst customer service ever! I went there for an eye exam and the front desk took my health insurance card and never returned back to me. Until I found out later after I left I had to call in and they didnt even apologize. I had to go back to get it myself. The doctor I had seemed to be cold and arrogant. He didnt talk very much about the results of my eye exam. I had to always ask him questions then he would answer in a way like I have had lectures about all those eye terminology. I have had much nicer eye doctor somewhere else before. I rarely do reviews online, but I have to put my experience for this place because it was really a horrible experience. I will never go there ever again!

Very poor experience. Went back 3 times in 6 months after purchase as 1 lens kept falling out of new frames. Lost a lense and they would do nothing except charge me for a new lenses & had to buy 2. After reordering they lost the order so ended up waiting 3 weeks. Now despite calling 2 Xs to take my name off text list I continue to get text for eye exam. Very poor customer service.

I drive all the way from Brighton make it few minutes late, on the top of that I was waiting for the receptionist for 10 minutes to finish talking in the phone one assistance want to help and the other one with a angry face say “ no she is late”.Really !!! The doctor schedule me for probably 45 minutes you juts don’t want to help, I never come back to a place with people don’t know how to help customers! And that young lady in the front office if she don’t like to talk to people find a different job!!!!
Called several times to try to make an appointment, I have MetLife and who they go through I have no idea, but every other place has no trouble figuring it out. The receptionist has no idea what she is talking about, and was asking for things I would in no way have access too. 3D vision works was able to make the appointment and link my insurance in under 30 minutes with thier system down....

The first time I went in no one introduced themselves to me. So when I called back to schedule the appointments it took me three separate calls to finally schedule an appointment. Meanwhile the whole time, Dr. Hagen (I believe read his name off a sheet on the second visit) never let me know what the next steps of action were. The second appointment was scheduled for 9:20 and I wasn’t sitting in a seat until 10:00. If I was 40 minutes late for an appointment anywhere, do you think they would have taken me? Should I really be waiting around for 40 minutes to get this appointment? I have places to be and meetings to attend. I am not trying to waste my time with people who don’t know how to do their job. So very whole heartedly, I am not planning on coming back to this eye doctor and would not recommend this place. The staff is unhelpful and the doctor was not all that nice and had an inability to let the patient know the next steps of action.

Love Dr. Metzger she is so great the staff is all wonderful too! Kid friendly and professional. Thank you for helping my family see clearly. Our vision and eye health is in good hands with Dr. Metzger. She squeezed in a last minute medical appointment for a very painful eye problem and within seconds of her examination she put in eye drops that gave speedy relief. I cant thank you enough!I recommend Dr.Metzger to anyone who has needy eyes she has taken care of mine and my familys for over 20 years and is with out a doubt the best of the best.

Brought my young son to the Colorado eye center and had an awful experience! Doctor Jordan was great but the optical center and their customer service was horrible.They are starting a new program and take no ownership of not having he correct information or product for their promotion. Instead they offer no helpful suggestions and then get offended when you tell them you are going else where for help.I will never again get any of my familys vision exams or glasses here!!

Everything about my experience was fine until I finally got the new eyeglasses I have been waiting for. It took about a week but I was patient. However, when I went to pick them up and I put them on for the first time I knew something was terribly wrong. Turns out they gave me the WRONG PRESCRIPTION. How they got it wrong, I dont know, but these new eyeglasses are basically useless to me now. I paid about $200 out of pocket for them. This place is a f**cking rip off and I will never go back. What irks me the most is the condescending attitude the boy (he literally looked 17) who gave me the new glasses gave me. AS IF I HAVE NEVER HAD NEW EYEGLASSES BEFORE. I should have complained more while I was there but they just wanted to get me out the door and not cause any more problems. They will be receiving a phone call and a visit from me AGAIN to try and get these new glasses that I paid good money for.Overall, DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE. There are far better eye centers in the area.
