My recent service experience was great. I was able to make an appointment easily. The work was performed very quickly. I would only suggest that your technician representative take more time with the customer to review the status of the vehicle, exactly what was performed and what might be ahead. Tire life, battery life, brakes, fluids, etc. I know some of that is part of the in-car info technology but hearing it from a human is really important and makes it personal. Overall great dealership in sales, finance and service. I love my GMC Canyon truck!

This was a super easy and pleasant experience. I was having a difficult time working with most dealers in (all GM) in Southern CA area that didnt already add outrageous dealer add-ons to their cars. Abed specifically was amazing at getting me a price on a car over the phone that was fair and straightforward. My family has had a GM dealership in Pennsylvania for over 50 years and the philosophy was always to put the best deal forward first to gain the trust of the customer. This was a big step for me personally because it was the first car I was ever going to buy that wasnt from my own family. I would certainly return to Penske in Cerritos since the whole staff was awesome to work with from Abed, to Dusty, to Walter, it was all a great experience.

Jose was great at accommodating our needs to drive a Yukon XL with the 6.3 engine, even though the only one available was on the sales floor. He offered a test drive of a 2WD Yukon XL so we could get the feel for the vehicle size and then drive a Sierra with the 6.3 engine to feel the engine power difference. Matt was great on working with us to get the price we wanted for our trade and the new Yukon XL. Only complaint is the time it takes to get to finance to sign all the paperwork. But overall is was a great experience.

I actually shopped around for my car. I called this dealership over the phone and asked for the out the door cash deal and they got back to me right away with the best deal I had all weekend. I suggest you get your loan with your best interest first before shopping for a new car. I got my loan through my school credit union. They also gave be a great deal on the GAP insurance. Just shop for your best interest and then you know how much you can spend on your FINAL price. Good luck!

I loved how quickly I was greeted upon arrival. It was very refreshing to not be pressured by the service assistant to get more done on my car than I requested. He was very professional and my car was complete very quickly. I was texted immediately after my car was done and when I arrived to pick it up it was already pulled up and waiting on me. Horrible experience! I bought a vehicle that was missing parts and had to constantly call to see if parts were ready when I was told I would be called. They told me appointments weren’t available on Saturdays so I asked for a afternoon appointment. And the sales person Jose Solis told me I could come in at 5pm. When the service department called me to book appointment they gave me a Saturday. When I arrived to my appointment they told me that they dont do these services on weekends let alone weekdays at 5pm because it takes a while to complete. They told me that the people that book appts dont know this. Which makes no sense to me because how are they just randomly booking appts not knowing how long the service is going to take. It took them over 5 hours to finish up my truck. I wish they had told me that it would take all day in order for me to make better arrangements as I live over 40 miles away from the dealership. This was a horrible experience. It seems like nobody at this dealership knows what they are doing because that is the response that everyone gave me. Will definitely not recommend that people shop or get their vehicles serviced at Penske Cerritos GMC.

I was car shopping with my sister for her first car. We went to GMC Cerritos because of a vehicle we found online. When we got there, the vehicle that was online had dents and sloppy paint over scratches along with a strong cigarette smell. The sales person told us that the smell would go away on its own. (Yeah ok!)We test drove a different vehicle and the sales person was adamant about selling the cigarette suv. The financial department would not work with us when we wanted the second vehicle. They told us good luck anywhere else for the price that we wanted to pay. Well, luckily we went over to Honda and the customer service was outstanding. Im not going to promote, but the difference lead us to purchasing a vehicle. Definitely wont return to GMC.

We made an appointment, we were taken right away, went in for basic oil change tire rotation, point inspection in case something needed attention right away.Oil was changed, tires Not rotated, I did not give them wheel lock, I wasn’t asked for it though, I did wait for the vehicle, I was a few feet away in the customer waiting area. They could of asked me for the wheel lock, they did not. It was in the middle console of the truck. So I figured they didn’t want to do the entire service.It’s not like they knocked a portion of the bill.I was told let them know next tell them time they would do it for me. So in my opinion not great service. They also used to wash your truck or car, I don’t think they do that anymore? The last few times not done, so I’m assuming they don’t do that anymore.Yes this time just an oil change. However one of my last service here was an engine replacement. 10,000.00 thousand dollars.

This week I went in for service after shopping got home to find things missing out of my bag a couple body products, not worth much but still very disappointed & dissatisfied I put my trust time & money into coming here its just not fair

I bought a used 2018 Terrain at this location. While giving me the sales pitch to buy a $3,000 warranty, I was told the rear view cameras screen could go out and it would be really expensive if I did not purchase the warranty. Based on this information, I purchased the $3,000 warranty. The rear view camera screen stopped working the week after I purchased the car. A few weeks later, I brought the car to the Cerritos location for a repair that I assumed was under warranty. I was told the warranty does not cover the camera and I have to pay $536.18.

After searching for weeks to find a truck and a dealer not trying to retire on my purchase I found Dennis the GM who came out and found me the truck I wanted, even a better one then I was looking for, and gave me a great deal. This is about the Sales/Finance. A lot of the reviews on here are about the service department. If I would’ve seen a review like this I would’ve avoided this dealership at all costs. I bought a vehicle from them not too long ago. First issue I’m having now, they never explicitly told me that they were going to run a HARD INQUIRY on my credit score more than 2 times. I had excellent credit before that happened, now that’s ruined (I’ve been told by other creditors). I would have stopped them from doing that if I knew. I’ve bought from other Chevy/GM dealers in the past and they have only ever ran my credit once. Don’t blindly sign papers from them either, just a heads up, that’s probably how they’re going to blame me for this happening, even though they actually never said anything. They made it seem like it was going to be ran once.Second, they act as if they want your money and as soon as the sale is over and paperwork is signed. They’re pretty much impossible to get ahold of to help with questions or issues after. I had another unrelated issue to the one above and it took almost a month of me calling multiple times a week to be able to get a straight forward answer to something that should’ve been so easy. They don’t return phone calls, it almost got to the point I was willing to take the trip to show up in person to stop getting the run around game. No other dealer I’ve dealt with in the past has been like that. I had a dealer who was willing to help me out with finding warranty papers 2 years after purchasing my old vehicle, he dropped what he was doing and found it within less than 10 minutes. At GMC Cerritos, don’t expect that kind of customer relationship.Don’t get me wrong, everyone is super friendly up front, until after the papers are signed. I’d never buy nor recommend anyone to buy here.

Three days after purchasing my brand new truck, I receive a diagnostic alert to service the air bag system. I take it in to be serviced only to be told that parts would have to be ordered and that they would arrive that following Monday and my service advisor, Gurgen, would supposedly contact me. After a week, I have to reach out to Gurgen to find out what the status is only to be told that they are still waiting on parts. Three days later I request another update and still have not heard back. I called the dealer today only to be told that Gurgen cannot be found and they could not find a supervisor either.I dont want to hear how sorry you are to hear that I am displeased with the service nor do I want to reach out to the manager. It should be your manager reaching out directly to your customers to resolve these issues, which I shouldnt have on a brand new vehicle.

When I picked up my car I had a dent in the passenger door with red paint that looked like a toolbox dent. I have never had a problem before in my 5 plus years of owning my car. I always use Cerritos for my services.

I was told that it would cost a little over $700 to change 1 ignition coil and 4 spark plugs. I called another certified mechanic and was quoted $200. Thats a big difference. I called back and spoke to the service writer who couldnt tell me the labor rate because it depends on the job but told me the total labor cost for this job was $616 parts were quoted at $12 for each spark plug and $39 for the ignition coil. I asked how many hours for labor he said 3 hrs. This is absurd! Per the labor book it should only take 1hr to do this work. I left a message for Armand the service manager and never received a call back. I give this 2 thumbs down for customer service and for service writer being dishonest and untrustworthy.

The waiting time for an oil change is ridiculous!!!! Don’t know why they give so many appointments within the same time if they don’t have enough technicians to work on your car. Consider spending 3 hrs at the dealer waiting for your car.

When I pulled up, the service guy quoted me $1,100 for an intermediate service on my 2106 Terrain! I told him I had seen a coupon for much less, but I didn’t print it out. He brought one out for around $650, which is what I paid. I found the coupon when I got home - it was for $340. Needless to say, I feel robbed and I will never go back again.

I have a 2017 Colorado, I have been experiencing issues with the transmission and electrical problems. When I took it in, the staff right away assumed I didnt have warranty because it has 43K miles. I told him to double check because I had the extended warranty. He was very rude with his assumptions and not very cooperative. I decided not to get it serviced and told him I would call the dealer the following day. The following day I called, told them the issues with the vehicle. Lady on the phone mentioned a manager would contact me. Its been 2 weeks and I have not heard back.... Very disappointed over all with the Cerritos Dealer.

Made an appointment on Friday because the liftgate 2014 GMC Terrain would lower on its own.It is unsafe when retrieving items out of the cargo area.It may come down on you.Having given that info to the service personnel when the appointment was made, I am more than unsatisfied and unhappy with the service guy sending my car to the service bay area to make the repair, then 10 minutes later telling me that he does not have the part and we have to bring the car back when the part comes in.It is an almost 30 minute drive one way from my home.The service guy chuckle when I asked about what kind of discount would we receive for having to leaving and returning again for our time? HE doesnt value me as a customer. I have purchased 4 cars from this dealership. Thats it for me. If you are wondering, it cost $183 to check out your car, that cost goes toward any repairs.

Got to the location, got right in, even after i was 2 hours late for my appointment, service was performed in a timely manner, excellent service... just one issue, with the tire rotation, after exiting the location and entering the freeway and after the tires heated up to operational temperatures, 35,36,37 and 38(tire pressure respectively). Once i arrived home i used two different tire pressure monitors, and my dash board was reading accurately. Now here is the problem, when the tires were roatated, the dealership did not recalibrate the tire locations, so as Im trying to equalize the tire pressures, they were all reporting in-accurately. The problem with this is, lets say its months down the road, i get a low tire pressure warning ⚠️ and i check that tire, it reads normal, and the actual tire is failing ⚠️ could be all bad.... and this is why Im giving this service today 3 out of 5 stars 🌟...

I was charged $180 to have my battery checked and got a quote of almost $500 to replace it. I did it myself for less than $150 and it took ten minutes. I’m out $180 but got a good education about the Penske dealership. Never again.

We were not kept informed . When we would call our service rep Crystal her messages were full for two days. We thought we had bought the extended warranty but apparently we had not . This checking held us up for a few hours on Thursday . On Friday morning we waited until about 10:15 to contact Crystal . When she got back to us we were told she was too just checking customers who were in line with at appointments. What are we if not customers who had been waiting overnight . They then told us there was not leak in the air conditioner .! They said it would be s about $180. My husband said this couldn’t be correct . They rechecked and apparently found a leak in the condenser . The price jumped to approximately $800. Now this is Friday . They said it would be ready in the late afternoon . We tried several more times to get Crystal but voice mail still full. We decided to come to the dealership . We had also left two messages for the service manager . When we arrived Crystal plus the service mgr was there . When we started to explain how unhappy we were and felt we were not kept in the loop. Crystal got upset and very rude. We said that most of the communication was done because we had to call. They checked it out and said it would be ready about 5:30 Friday . We said we would wait . Around that time Crystal came and told us the condenser they put in was defective . Right ! They would have to finish up on Saturday . We were told we could either have a loaner or would receive a discount. We had already been told since my husband was a disabled veteran we would get a discount . So this new discount authorized by the service mgr was different. Crystal told us how sorry she was . Saturday was her day off but that she would come in just to make sure things were right. We were called around 10:15 or so by Albert in service that our truck was ready . When we arrived we were given a 10% per cent discount which is nothing . When we debated this he said he could make it 15% but that just a little over the taxes . Crystal never came in on Saturday as she said she was going to, Finally we received 20%. I really feel some of the labor costs should have been reduced . We have always had the best experiences whrn we have brought our truck in so this was such a great disappointment . Don’t think I will be recommending Penske

Worst Dealer service I have come across.I made an appointment with service department to have my transmission checked . Showed up on appointment time and date and service advisor said they would not be able to check my truck all techs h e left for the day . They said take my number call me Monday and see what we can do to get you in and kraken care of . Called Monday and left message with service advisor that if they can call me when available to get my truck checked . Still have not a call back from this dealer . Called Simpson GMC and they got me in the next day and got my truck diagnosed and helped me get my truck fixed . When I showed up on appointment time all where just hanging out talking like no work to be done be careful who you let work on your truck you pay good money for .

I had been communicating with a Sales Manager Daniel Ibarra through emails. He completely stopped communicating! Was very disappointed with this, especially with a so called Manager. I went into the dealership before going to an alternately planned location to purchase my vehicle based on advertised sales ads. I was put with Anthony Aguilar. Anthony was able to offer me what I was looking for and ended up closing the deal, but my experience with this Sales Manager Daniel still leaves a bitter experience overall.

While I was originally going to give them 5 stars that was short lived. I purchased 3 key fobs to be programmed to my truck for 165$. Yes. 165$. I was still willing to pay regardless. I get home and realize one of the fobs doesnt work at all. I call them back to inform them of this and they say well come on back when you can. After waiting, they update that this particular fob is broken and they cant use it. I stated, Why didnt you say this before I left? All he said was youre right Im sorry. Where is the quality these days? Super frustrated

I bought a 2020 GMC Denali so I came for my first service which was a free oil change my service advisor was Crystal Rivera who help me that day. when my truck was given back to me I asked how much would it be for the next oil change here at the dealership when she answer told me I still have another oil change for free. So here I am today trying to get my complimentary service done and Crystal denied telling me that. She would never say something like that when I receive a paperwork. Just a horrible experience never coming here to get service again and I definitely would never recommend nobody to come and spend their hard-earned money.

We all know buying a car is stressful and time consuming. I started my search well over a week ago. I was looking for an SUV and I knew I wanted an american built car again, but I was looking at ALL options. I had a pre approved loan through my credit union so I knew what I could shop with. I also had a trade that was upside down because of a VERY high interest loan. (divorce, thats a story for another time) I had found a great deal on a gently used loaner at Penske and spoke with Francisco, one of their Sales team members, on the phone. He answered all of my questions. I knew I would be in the area this weekend and he invited me to come in for a test drive. We went Friday evening, test drove the little Encore and I liked it, but didnt love it. Its really small for our lifestyle. The price was awesome and they were willing to help me work all the numbers with my trade. I spent most of the weekend looking at other larger SUVs and decided that I was just going to wait a month or so. I told Dusty, who is the Sales Manager, on Sunday that I appreciated his time to work with me, but that Encore was just to small and I would not be happy, but keep me in mind if something else comes along. Well Dusty reached on Monday am and asked me about the Envision. I loved the Envision and Enclave, but I knew price was outta my budget.Here is what separates Penske of Cerritos from the ALL other car dealers. Dusty did not work WITH me. Dusty really went to work FOR me! He worked a deal for me, kept me with in MY budget and even got me AWESOME financing that was BETTER than my credit union. He really went above and beyond all of my expectations. I am not going to blast the numbers on here but lets just say.... IT WAS A LOT!!!! A LOT!!!! I am so grateful and appreciated all the work he did for me. Once this deal was sealed, Francisco wrapped it all up. Everyone at Penske really is great. Its not the typical car dealer, and I visited many over Labor day weekend. Most will talk in circles and dont LISTEN to what it is you want or forget what they quoted you 5 minutes ago.(look for my review on Tom Bell in Redlands - bunch of yahoos)If you are looking for straight shooters who listen to what YOU want, go see Francisco and Dusty. Made an “appointment” for an oil change on 8/19/20. was given a time of 8am.waited an hour and a half before checking on my vehicle.... it hadn’t even been taken in for service yet. I LEFT.what’s the point of making an appointment with a time. when i asked the service guy that question he said an appointment only guarantees service will be provided on THAT DAY...so by that rationale i could’ve sat there all day. RIDICULOUSAND THENwhen i purchased my vehicle they had a 5 year free oil change promotion. when i mention this to the service people they ALWAYS act like they’ve never heard of it so i have to go into a detaied explanation. was that a SCAM to get us to go there for service.never again. there are other dealers closer to meeven if i gotta pay for an oil change it’s worth not waiting 2 hours with an appointment

I scheduled a service for my oil change, transmission issues, and tire repair.Only completed the oil change. A nail was found in my tire that they missed. They couldnt fix my transmission because they didnt prepare a rental car for me in order to leave me vehicle. Extremely unorganized and to lazy or cheap to fix what is wrong with my transmission. I have taken my vehicle there numerous times and it still is not fixed.

Due to covid i was making plenty of phone calls looking for the truck i wanted called the dealer and they let me know that they did have the truck i was looking for and i knew what the truck was going for because i had been looking for quite some time and with the incentives i would be at a certain price upon arrival at the dealership i seen the truck that i wanted and they did not mention it having a permanent security system pre installed that the dealer had added and a clear coat on the paint and a scotch guard on the interior which added an extras 4,000 dollars extra which basically cancelled out all the money saved with the incentives for purchasing the vehicle when i was in the financing office i seen that extra charge for the security system which they had not mentioned previously i had to drive over an hour and i had brought my family with me and had my time wasted and was told i didnt have to buy the the gps system to purchase the truck but upon mentioning that i didnt want the gps system i was told that it was on the truck already and that i couldnt do anything about it and if i didnt want it to just not buy the truck . Its not listed anywhere on the sticker for the vehicle which shows the additional options and i was only told about it in financing . Very dissatisfied on how i was treated and how they slipped that into my purchasing price . I am not trying to contact the dealer or speak with the manufacturer to see where the gps is located and no one has told me where its located or gotten back to me about it. And i am now wondering if this is really even on my vehicle and if any of the other options were really even added onto the vehicle . I really hope someone will get back to me on this whether it be from GM or the dealership

Unfortunately service dept appears overwhelmed to the point where I never heard if my car was ready for pickup. Left several messages with no response so went to service dept. The person we left car with didnt remember us or our car. When it was looked up response was that they remember now and my parts were not in yet. Needless to say dropped off car on Friday and parts did not arrive until Tuesday. Disappointed with process and false responses.

I turned in my vehicle on Friday July 31st at approximately 11:30 am for an inspection of my power steering. I was not provided with an update on the status of my vehicle until Tuesday August 4th at about 1 pm. 4 days passed without an update. I had to cancel a family trip planned for Sunday because I did not receive an update on my vehicle and was left without a family vehicle.During this period of time, I called multiple times in hopes of getting an update. I left multiple messages with the service adviser and with the new service manager and yet, I received not a single call. To this day, your service manager did not take the time to call me to follow up on the messages I left him. Is that the level of service a customer should expect? I am planning on purchasing a new car within the next 2 years and was leaning towards a new Buick, but after this terrible experience I now have some serious concerns.

Well, this is my 4th GMC Acadia in the past 8 years and without a doubt the worst experience specially with the finance staff! I’m also not satisfied with this last car I got, I suppose to upgrade and I it feels like I was demoted with this car, not happy at all!!! I trusted the dealer again and they were only looking for their own benefit not mine, I do NOT appreciate that!

1/28/19 Delivered NEW 2018 TourX on Dec. 24th 2018 with 2 long dents on passenger front door. Spoke with Buick Corporate and since dealer did not report within 30 days after vehicle arrived at dealer, it should be reimbursed by dealer as that is Protocol. Initially, dealer wanted to use their service to repair with body work, which I declined and had a reputable Paintless Dent removal take care of door. The technician only worked on my vehicle that day as it was a long repair, but came out flawless. Now after repair, dealer doesnt want to reimburse saying they never authorized repair and that its a corporate issue. Daniel the sales manager says one thing and does another, they will not get any more business as well as any referrals from me. They also install stupid dealer KARR alarm to sell to customers during financing and hack up wiring on all inventory vehicles, which I realized later. I will handle this with small claims, unless they make it right before!1/30/19 UPDATE: The Response from Owner below suggested I call the number, but when I called, I was told that they would leave a message with the manager and that I would be contacted. Well, they never called back when they said they would. This is a formality for them to act like they are resolving issues, but they are not. I will update when they actually reach out to me and RESOLVE it!
