I took my Mom here so she could get her vacuum repaired. We had the pleasure to meet a gentleman named Shawn. This guy gave a top notch customer service! He was very honest, polite and a pleasure to do business with! If I ever have to buy a vacuum or refer a place, Mid America Vacuum is the place!

I was certain I just had a belt in my vaccum bust. When I went to a different store under my warranty, they told me they couldnt even look at it for 2 weeks - ridiculous. I called this place and Al was super nice, he met me in the store and fixed my vaccum for me in 10 minutes no problem. Thanks! :)

We had purchased a part on behalf of a client. It ended up being the wrong part so we contacted the store for assistance. They were more than happy to allow us to hire them to come out and repair what was needed. Two people-Stating we could return the part and even better when the technician came out he would take it back to the store for us. The next day when the technician arrived and he was paid, he refused to take the part. No reason was given to the client but that we would have to return it ourselves. Now today I call to return/make sure they are open and was told they are not taking returns due to covid. NEVER conveyed to us on purchase, never even after we spoke to Tom & Ryan regarding the return. SO disappointed-now stuck with a $170 part. Feel very manipulated

Took my Dirt Devil in for repairs after the belt broke. They did a terrific job!I recommend them for anyone who needs vacuum cleaner servicing. While their specialty is in Oreck vacuum cleaners, they do repair all types of brands, including rebuilds.Couple of notes......1. They require a $35.00 deposit which is non-refundable. However, if you have them perform servicing, the $35.00 is credited towards the repair.2. This is a busy shop. Expect to wait up to 1 week before they call you back with an estimate. Once it’s approved, turnaround is quick. (often the same day, unless it’s a complicated repair)

Really surprised to see such a low star rating!!I have a great experience here!, I think people are more likely to say when somethings wrong instead of complimenting good service... with that being said, I wanted to write a review about my positive experience. I own a small cleaning company and was in dire need of a new solution. Tom was beyond helpful! And listened to my concerns about the vacuum I was currently using and came up with some really great ideas, I had not even considered! Saving my day and my time!, I couldnt thank him enough and I return whenever I need help.They are friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable! They have not failed me yet!! So glad I found this place!!

I took my Dyson in to have the attachment hose replaced. They charged me $30 for a diagnosis (even though I showed them the issue when I dropped the vacuum off) and when I picked it up (5 days late and received no calls to update me on the status of the repair) the attachment hose did not have any suction at all and the roller ball on the vacuum was making a weird clicking. I called and they said it was all because I didn’t do the recommended $100+ tuneup.So I decided to drive into Schaumburg to see the real experts at the Dyson store. The problem was a clog in the attachment hose—which was brand new from Mid America....Dyson fixed it for free while I waited and cleaned the whole machine, even though I’m no longer under warranty. Pretty disappointing I paid $90 to Mid America for nothing but a pain in the butt.

Paul rescued my old 2006 Miele Capricorn and made repairs to keep it going, replacing a PC board for a new hose. He did extra repairs at no charge, which was an unexpected and happy surprise. Im very happy with everything and will turn to him for future vacuum purchases.

Oh my gosh, this store is wonderful! I had a cat toy caught in my favorite vacuum, took it in to Mid America, and Patrick fixed it while I waited. And the price was reasonable, and Im thrilled I didnt ruin my vacuum! Thanks so much!

I would go there again in a heartbeat. Very inexpensive, did not try to sell me anything extra. I recently needed to buy a new vacuum and called for advice, again he didnt try any hard sell and spent time giving me feedback and direction.

Purchased a new Cana-Vac XLS pro series central vacuum power head set with 35 ft. hose and couldnt be happier. I feel the slight extra cost for this power head and the longer hose is well worth it for me over the model below. I really like the extra width of the power head and indicator light to help show optimal height adjustment, plus how easy it is to take the roller brush off to remove the accumulation of my wifes long hair.I have been using a very expensive water based canister vacuum that I have thoroughly appreciated for the last 13 years but my wife would not use it because it was to much effort to mess with filling and cleaning the water before and after each use. Also, we moved into a new large house that already had a VERY old central vacuum system that still seemed to work, but the hose set needed replacement, so I thought my wife would be more open to using the central vacuum since there is no messing with water or having to lug around the canister.To my amazement, we cut the time it took to vacuum the house from about 3 hours to under an hour. The first time we used this new hose set my wife and one year old were even able to be in the same room and hold a conversation with me while I vacuumed, this could not happen with the canister vacuum because of the noise from the motor and sound of the exhaust. The other detail that I really like is the fact that there is no blowing air from the exhaust of a canister, so no dust gets blown around while doing the vacuuming and it seems like a much cleaner experience overall. We do not have the central vacuum in our basement, so I still use the canister vacuum down there and am actually now frustrated with how long it takes to vacuum using the canister and dealing with the water.I maybe could have saved a few dollars buying this (actually the Lindhaus brand since I couldnt find Cana-vac at an on-line seller and the powerhead is actually a Lindhaus anyway) at an on-line only seller but there always seemed to be some different options in the kits offered at the on-line sellers and I was never quite sure of exactly what I was going to get from the on-line sellers and then where would I go if I needed service. Also, the big point for buying this brand from Mid-America was the great warranty by Cana-Vac, which is 6 years on the the entire kit, which even the Lindhaus kit at the on-line sellers was less than half of this. So any extra cost buying here was like getting an extended warranty.Shawn was extremely knowledgeable about competitive questions and very patient with me, because of this great service and local support I purchased this product here instead of at an on-line only seller.
