After taking away many of its unique characteristics, like the build your own sandwiches and pizzas, deli items that were actually made in-store (all labor is outsourced now and product shipped to the store), and a focus on healthy food.... Fresh Thyme is just your average, overpriced grocery store. Sad to see theyre even selling Oreos and Pepsi. Definitely not what the company values used to be.

I dont feel that they carry enough organic produce. On the back wall green onions and leeks are haphazardly tossed into an organic mess. The prices are high throughout the store with the exception of the sale items. Most are between 20 and 30% higher than any other stores that I have been to. I found it remarkable though that there were aisles and aisles of beautifully placed produce so many peaches and nectarines but none organic. I didnt care for the homemade sausages either. That may just me and Im comparing between other stores. I asked for help to find two items... he showed me the one produce but I could not find the rainbow light calcium magnesium supplement.. and he simply walked away possibly he didnt hear me?They do not sanitize the carts either. I just wish they had more organic produce.

True to its name fresh thyme! Food is always fresh store is always clean and the washrooms are very clean. I dont like unisex bathrooms. As a female I dont want to go in a washroom and sit on a toilet seat that some man just peed on. sorry,, but you asked for an opinion

I love, love, love the kid of colors that hit you the minute you walk into this place! It’s like a bag of Skittles just exploded and your senses become overwhelmed with the creative that was put into the overall design of the store.Prices are good and the service is personal and helpful.Overall a wonderful place to shop!

Visited from Florida and my brother recommended we shop here as Im vegan and they should have everything I wanted. Fresh Thyme had what I wanted and so much more!

Surprisingly I found there were absolutely great sales! Amys mac and cheese 1$ each.....a lot of the meats were 50% off and 20% off all frozen products. Their produce section is vast and affordable, again great sales. I love the selection of nuts, trail mix, candy. They carry a lot of Bach products...rescue remedy is fantastic! My husband recommends this in his practice. I also purchased Bach Rescue Pastilles which is a natural stress relief and the Elderberry lozenges which provides a winter remedy for immune support....and it works with Vit C 90mg Zinc 5mg ad Elder 12.5 mg. When looking for immune support please check out the Elder Berry. Fresh Thyme is the only place that I know with a fantastic selection and more than reasonable prices. I love this store! From the salad bar, to the organic foods and spice selections to the homeopathic remedies. Check it out friends.

They would have gotten 5 stars if they had the huge selection of flavored sliced bacon my friend was telling me about. probably discontinued because of covid. Ive only been here once.

Fresh Time is a nice, slightly upscale grocery store. Think Whole Foods but without being as large a chain. The food choices do seem to tilt slightly healthier than a more mainstream grocer. No drug store attached.

Wonderful produce and natural foods. More importantly, the bacon is first rate... it made my previously vegetarian wife start eating bacon again!

My favorite grocery store!

I went in this store for the first time yesterday. Its a really nice store they have a complete inventory of all your needs. I bought some tenderloin steaks and I gotta tell you they were by far the best Ive ever had. For that matter everything was top shelf. But as you already know when you buy the best you pay the best. Prices are a little steep but you get what you pay for. The store is clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I didnt give them 5 stars because even though the quality is great I still think its a little too expensive.

A little high on some items but the butcher area is hard to beat. Try some of the ultimate italian sausage or any the bacon. Fantastic

I do like this store as there are many organic items that I purchase weekly. The manager of the store is horrible. I believe she is the manager but Im not 100% sure. She a taller women with short gray hair. Shes extremely rude to me and the customers on multiple occasions. Im not sure how she still has a job the way she treats customers. Honestly someone from Corporate needs to look into this. I stopped going. There are other reviews I see about her.

I absolutely LOVE fresh thyme. $5 SUSHI Thursdays. Its more like a trader joes/small whole foods. They have little carts for kids to push and a free snack when you walk in for children as well. Fresh Thyme has amazing sales plus every Wednesday is double ad. The last week and new week are both good on a single day.

Great place to shop. Allnproduce is w/o pesticides good organic section as well. Some things ate more expensive than u can get elsewhere. Many things here that u cant find elsewhere.

What I love about Fresh Thyme is its range of herbal selection and supplements. Sometimes you luck up and find someone with a wealth of product knowledge. They have added more items to the baby aisle which is a plus. It is a bit pricey, but there is a sale quite often. I would personally like more organic fruit and vegetables, but otherwise its one of my favorite places to go.

This place is always clean and the times Ive gone in, the employees seem nice. I only wish the store was a bit bigger and had a little more variety on somethings.

I live right down the street from this location so I often made it my stop for groceries. Not any more. Several times I have seen the same manager be extremely rude to her fellow employees. Completely unprofessional, what a power trip. Recently, I was grabbing a few items and could not get my apple pay to work. Was told by the same older grey-haired female manager that I was holding up her cashier’s line. There was no one behind me. Thank goodness for the very friendly cashier who rectified the situation and actually took a moment to help me. Get better management, no one deserves to be talked to as less than.

The products of this store are amazing. However, one of the employees there had a problem with our masks, so he yelled at us and went to a manager. He couldnt find a manager, so he yelled over the intercom, people with mask problems by produce, can I get a manager. The manager proceeded to get in our face, not maintaining six feet of distance from us, and told us he wouldnt let us in to the store again if we didnt obey the rules. We were not aware of the rules and there was no sign stating them. He kept following us through the store, and shadowed us until we left. I was uncomfortable for the whole trip, and I would rate this store 0 stars if I could. : (

Nice produce, love the deli, not everyday frozen foods, duck to soup. Lotions, soaps, vitamins and supplements, you will need several visits to take in all that they have. Cons, can be a little pricey. P.S. We love to go when its time to juice a bunch of veggies

My go-to grocery store for produce and meat. The prices on produce is usually the best in the area, and its really cheap. The meat also regularly goes on sale. However, I wouldnt recommend it for other kitchen items as it is a bit pricey (Id compare it to Trader Joes). Otherwise, the staff is really friendly, and I recommend it for healthy eaters!

It wasnt really crowded, but someone had a issue with there credit card, but that was a hiccup. That took time, wow !! Cashier was nice.

Fresh Thymes staff is always amazing! They helped me find a few odd ingredients for my Thanksgiving Feast. I love how fresh their produce always is--- and the prices are so low! I love that they also have so many vegan options! (Even vegan pies at their bakery!)

I liked this place very much. Lots of different exotic meat choices. Pricey but not over the top.

In terms of its selection of produce, products, and brands, service, and vibe, it feels like a hybrid of Heinens, Fresh Market, and Whole Foods. Except, their dry-goods section is lacking some random basics, like seasame oil, jello, and loose-leaf tea? But strong selection of other areas like hard-to-find beauty products, alternatives to conventional milks/meats/cheeses, healthier frozen foods, etc.This is not an everyday grocery store, but where you go to find the dinner party items: obscure products, special things, or upgrades, that cant be found at your corner store.

I like this store. The only think I dont care for is the very tiny selection on the produce. They state the get the produce locally within 100 miles. But I can get the produce 50-100% larger at the local farmers market down the street. I still like the selection of other items you can not get at the other local grocery stores.

I wish there was a Fresh Thyme closer to my house. It reminds me if a mini Whole Foods, but the employees are much friendlier. They have a great selection of foods and vitamins. My husband enjoys the local brews they sell. They also have bulk foods which is nice.

This grocery store is adorable and affordable! It cuts back the use on plastic bags and packaging by offering a bulk section of goods where you can bring your own jars, containers, or Tupperware to fill up on things like coffee, nuts, seeds, snack mixes, and nut butters. It also offers good prices on fresh fruits and veggies, carries many healthy food options (including vegan and gluten free items) and has a great sushi and salad bar for lunch or dinner on the go. I highly recommend! Be sure to get the app and save coupons to scan at your checkout for extra discounts.

This is the first Fresh Thyme store Ive been to, and I am impressed with the product and produce selection of the store. I have always hoped for a Whole foods or Marianos store around Cary, Crystal Lake area, Fresh Thyme is better than Whole foods and Marianos by a huge margin.Before reading the rest of the review, you got to try the fresh squeezed orange juice. 64oz for less than five bucks is a good deal and it will be the most delicious orange juice you ever had. I know this for a fact, because the only other grocer have on site fresh squeezed OJ is Marianos in Chicago,and I have been buying 3 bottle from them taking back to Cary once a week. Fresh Thymes OJ is even more tasty (sweeter, fresher tasting, presumably from ripe oranges).Fresh Thyme carries farmers market produce, and at farmers market low prices, something Whole foods cant compete with. The prices of produce is lower than Jewel Osco, and looks better quality.I noticed unique feature to Fresh Thyme is that they sells bulk liquids such as Honey, olive oil Apple Cider Vinegar by weight, so you can buy any amount you see fit.Theme of the store reminds me of whole foods, and a lot of the health products (shampoo, soap etc) are exactly the same as well, may be not the exact same brand but they do look pretty much the same, price is similar (but a bit lower in my opinion). For example, bulk soap I got was 2.5/bar instead of 3.99/bar at whole foods.I am very excited for the OJ, cant wait to try out other items.

Good healthy food

Fruits and veggies are ok,but on multiple occasions I came back home with spoiled milk,yogurt or meat still with a long expiration date. In the beginning I blamed the company of the dairy product, but after I found that meat was bad too I now see it is the stores fault. Whatever they do, they better find the solution. For now, I will not be buying at this location. Got burnt too many times.

The staff seem to always be busy but will stop if you have questions. This store is run well and I find what I need and am able to checkout quickly. Theyll often open up a new lane if the first checkout lane gets too busy.

Always expensive. For instance, organic celery $2.99. Regular celery .99cTricky stuff. Kind Bars $6.99 for a box of 4, yet loose bars are 2 for $3.00. A dollar less if u buy 4.Fish deli. Crab leg meat is imitation, but it doesnt say so.Fresh fish but its previously frozen.Bought wild caught frozen cooked shrimp there once, that smelled and tasted like bleach.The nuts are very fresh there but you will pay between 9 to 24 dollars a pound.For the most part the quality is better than most stores.

Was surprised that this place has such a variety of goods...including liquor section. Friendly, helpful staff. My 6 yr old grandson loves it because they have freebies for kids and small shopping carts (should invest in a few more of these as we had to wait for one but luckily one was checking out). I was surprised at how reasonable the prices were! Health food stores are notoriously expensive. Not all produce is organically grown, but what is and isnt is clearly marked. Highly recommended.

Just went there for the first time on Saturday! I really like this place! Some things are definitely a little pricey but if you like vegan or organic things then this is the best place! I love the meal preped options that they have. Makes my life easier! So if you dont mind spending a little extra money than its awesome! I will probably only shop for special items like cauliflower pizza and prepared salads and stuff like that!

Awesome place to go if you know the specials. You can get some pretty good deals on perceivably higher quality items if you do your shopping right.Weve found that the produce can go bad a little faster than normal but I guess if Im shopping on discount then theres a reason why it goes bad faster, right?I like that they offer fruit for my kid to eat while we are shopping, definitely a nice touch.

Fresh Thyme is owned by Meijers. It has upscale prepared food and a salad bar, but I like Meijers better. Fresh Thyme is in an older store and the aisles are difficult to navigate in a motorized scooter. It is not very wheelchair accessible because they have cluttered the aisles with so much stuff, l avoid shopping there. The previous grocery store in this building was very wheelchair friendly, but not Fresh Thyme.It is very difficult to get to the fresh fruits and veggies and the frozen foods and other merchandise are overpriced.

Good prices on meat

Looking for something unique, raw, different? This is your store. I come here from mainly coffee beans and apples. I love their Michigan cherry beans. And apples always fresh. The offer a produce discount for kids. Basically 1 piece of fruit. Which is always nice because my daughter begs for their fruits when we go in. Apple store she calls it. Because she eats a free apple inside. They have moochi ice cream!!! Ask about it! Its this ice cream from japan!!

I honestly always enjoy my experience here. They have a great selection, great atomosphere and great customer service. Today especially the cashier Taylor really went above and beyond to offer some exceptional service. I really appreciated the extra effort she put forth and believe her managers should definitely give her some recognition.
