I have had to visit Book Nook several times for work. The staff is always friendly and the store is large with many options. I love going and treating myself to a book or a toy for my shelf :)

The moment you walk in theres that awesome scent of a used book store. Its one of the delights of an old fashioned brick and mortar store - the thrill of finding what you didnt know you were looking for. Vintage pulp novels. Classic literature on the cheap. An awesome comic book selection. Best of all the boxes of old action figures and other delightful pop-culture tchotchkies

If you like comics, collectables, and are into reading an actual book this is the place for you.....

Really cool store! If you enjoy aisles of books and other media and not knowing exactly what youll find its a really fun place. The store keepers were friendly and the selection is pretty big.

Looking for something a new book store? You could spend hours in here so much information and is deceptively bigger than you would think. They have an impressive comic book and CD collection. I believe they buy as well as sell. Was very impressed and enjoyed the customer service. If you are in town worth a look though.

Wonderful place to get lost in, they have stacks and rows of books, and they are arranged so that you HAVE to wander and explore. Its the way I love to discover books. It smells like books, its very cool vibe, and the staff is super cool. I went there to get comics, and had no idea that I was going to love the place as much as I do. You could spend hours here. This is the antidote to Barnes & Nobles, this place has character and personality

A wonderland of books and other nerd stuff. You can almost literally get lost in the Stacks (which is a plus).Going in here feels like being in a indie movie in the best way.

Nice store. Shopped here over the years and even sold stuff. Cant help but feel unwelcomed though. Noticed how one of the workers sitting in the front acknowledged a white customer leaving yet said nothing to me as I entered or exited the store. The gentlemen has never greeted me and seems to dislike black people in general.

Its always nice to visit cluttered bookstores and buy some neat finds. The chairs around so one can sit down while reading is a very nice touch.

Love the book nook! Ive been going to the Marietta and Decatur location since I was a little kid. I used to live close by to the Decatur one and pick up shifts there so this review is a bit biased but the staff are a fun group of folks who are knowledgeable about books and nerdy stuff. Great for a conversation and the rare find youve been looking for!

Book Nook is my favorite place to visit when I come to Atlanta. I love old movies and TV shows on DVD, and I always find some treasure. Books galore, deep discounts, and great staff.

This is my favorite place in the city of Atlanta and this is my preferred location.. Perhaps that’s a little underwhelming for some, but for me, Book Nook is the equivalent to Heaven.They have books ranging every topic, different languages, and some of the OLDEST books for sale in the city. I’ve found personal devotionals from the 1860s in this bookstore. If you’re a history buff, you’ll be sure to stumble upon something that immediately captures your attention here.I’d be lying if I said I don’t come here to read. I stow away in one of those corners...and find my nook, and get to reading. No one bothers you. It’s quiet. And the staff are always so friendly and helpful. Book Nook is truly my happy place.Please take all my money.

This place is a book lovers gem. Amazing selection of books for all ages with new and old titles, DVDs, some games, and an amazing selection of comics. The two people on staff were definitely believers in what they do and were full of information. You could spend a day in here in the maze of tall bookcases and not see it all.

I come here often to buy new comic books. They have a larger selection along with lots of back issues. Their selection of 10+ year old comics is second to none and Ive been to a lot of stores in the area. If they dont have it, dont waste time elsewhere... I gotta another Book Nook.

A well hidden treasure right in plain view! I was amazed at the amount of books and material NEATLY organized inside. IF you loved the TV series Little House on the Prairie...They had the complete series. (One of a kind...so there is a possibility that it may be gone by the time you make it there.) If you are a comic book fan...they had hundreds. IF you need tech advice, yep, they have a few people there that can assist you. MOVIES, DISCS, BOOKS, and MORE!

Smaller store with an OK selection of used LPs. Have board games, CDs and movies too.

Been going here for many many many years. I have yet to leave out of there with one thing and also have yet to spend less than 50 dollars. Ive tried and failed each time miserably. They always have what I need and some other hidden treasures.

Knowledgeable, FRIENDLY staff who WANT to help you find what youre looking for, or even turn you on to something new. New comics, old comics and toys that hit you right in the nostalgia bone... Just walking into this place turned my day around.

Please wear a maskWalked in and immediately am almost next to a person without a mask while another person further in the store has one on improperly. Just left without stopping in.Looks like a cool place, but I wont be going anytime soon. Terrible first time experience.Will update this in the future when things are safer.

This is my favorite bookstore! Its a treasure hunt; instead of stacks of copies of the latest best sellers, there are rows of single copies of books from current and past years. Youll find books you didnt know your favorite author wrote long ago, old friends that you wore to a nub rereading when you were young, and authors new to you but about to be among your faves.You can bring books and media to trade in (call first if you have questions). They wont buy everything but they give good value for what they accept. Take credit rather than cash; youll get much more. And save that credit slip- it lasts forever

If youre still into physical media, this is a great store. Used comics, vinyl albums, DVD, CDs, books, graphic novels, etc. And its layout becomes an intriguing maze for finding items of interest.

I went there to hunt for Vinyl Records. Their selection was then for my taste. Outside of that, for everything else this store is great!

An unfortunate experience with another local book purveyor has me reminiscing about how much I enjoy and appreciate Book Nook. So many great finds and first-tier family memories over the years, going all the way back to the original Clairmont/Buford Highway location. Very well catalogued for a a used book store. Front desk helpful but the call I made prior to going was even better. I asked for a title and the employee put the phone down and went to see if it was in stock. That friendly service encourages me to go to their store to make my purchase.

This used bookstore has a mishmash of collectibles and media scattered across the store without any discernible system of order. It vaguely resembles an episode of hoarders save that its a bit less dusty. At least the people running it are nice.

This used book store has an incredible amount of material, most of it at very good prices. A lot of the books are older, but they have a lot of cool stuff you wont find somewhere like Barnes & Noble. This is somewhere you could spend several hours if you like books, several days to see everything.

Personally didnt find what I was looking for the day I visited. But its a great place to go on a weekend to browse for collectables as they have a lot to offer.

But they also have movies, toys, posters, comics etc. great selection with even better prices. They offer trade ins for store credit and find extra parking in back or side of store. I think this business is great because they have staff members to assist you once you enter it. They buy or trade books or DVDs/music and etc. I enjoyed my 2 visits and you can really appreciate what they do thats why I rate them at 41/2 stars. Go check it out and let us know what yall think.

Love this place. Especially the discount section all the way in the back which has some decent books for $1-2. Workers could be more hospitable IMO, but theyll point you in the right direction and answer your questions

I cant say enough about how much I enjoyed the Book Nook. I could easily spend a fortune in there and it would be worth it. This was my first visit and Ill definitely be back with friends.It is hard to say they have a selection of books because the place is more like several seas of book. Wall to wall and floor to ceiling in every genre of fiction you can imagine and every area of knowledge possible.Some sections reminded me of obscure topics Ive been meaning to learn about. In others I found nerdy dragon fiction from my childhood that Ive wanted to reread. Everything that my girlfriend has been telling me to read is there.The employees (guardians of the books?) were quirky and cool.I hope Book Nook thrives. What a special place!

At the ripe age of 27 I have embarked on the journey of comic books. With the new House/Powers of X being the new hype I figured there was no better time than now to start. Book Nook on N Druid Hills has made this experience incredible. Every Wednesday morning I call and ask the nice lady that works there to hold a copy of the new issue and she is so friendly and executes my request like a champ. I literally look forward to making the call every Wednesday more than the actual excitement of picking up the new issue. See you guys this afternoon for Powers of X #2!

This store is impressively big, but could be more organized and have better signage. It was pretty messy and hard to navigate. The signs labeling the book sections were in weird locations and all different sizes. Definitely will be back though!

If youre a huge book nerd like myself, who also enjoys nostalgia, this is the pace for you. They have everything from your favorite childhood games, books, movies, etc. They have a large collection of DVDs, games for various platforms and the biggest selection of quality used books for a reasonable price (they have new as well). Youll need at least a half day to peruse the store, but you wont be disappointed

Really incredible used bookstore in N Druid. My favorite one in Atlanta and Ive picked up copies here, four dollars or so with weathered pages that I love, and those books have shaped my life. Invaluable.

My friend had a fun date idea to peruse a bookstore looking for books whose titles describe your date. We came here with low expectations but with all the books, movies, cds, and more here, the date ended up going really well. The store is deceptively bigger than it looks and is loaded with all kinds of books including a large clearance section and sections of basically any genre of book. Definitely a cool find and highly recommend checking it out.
