Dr. Christensen gave me a thorough eye exam and reviewed my results meticulously, and explained things succinctly. Richard pointed me to a stylish selection of designer frames that I probably would not have given myself permission to enjoy. I am very satisfied with the bold, confident look of my new frames. This eye care boutique is worth it!

Theyve got a lot of awesome frames and the DRs and staff members were all super cool. With insurance, the cost of the appointment with glasses were about $60 for basic frames. Prices for frames range anywhere from $100 - $700. Blue tint for computer glare reduction on frames is about $80. Theyve got a nice selection of sunglasses, as well. Carry quite a bit of frames made in Italy. Just make sure to take a detailed statement of your insurance provider with to to provide staff with. My insurance stated I could get two pair of glasses (i.e. one regular pair and one pair of sunglasses), however staff was only able to locate coverage for the one pair, with a discount of %30 on the other. When I returned to pick up the first pair, they were able to locate the additional information and was able to receive the entire coverage on the sunglasses.

Been going here for years!! I drive a good ways to come here & pass dozens of eye doctors on the way, but its worth it!! The whole staff is amazing!!

The folks there are nice and the optometrist I saw was competent. I was disappointed in the glasses frame selections available even though they have a vast selection. In my opinion, the company they use for making the lenses is very poor and their ability to adjust frames is lacking. Im still trying to adjust these glasses to function well. Overall Id give this facility a 3 out of 5 at best.

Wonderful experience each time I come for my appointment. My mom came with me the last time and she was impressed. She couldnt find her insurance card and they were able to look up her information. the wait times were great. We even got our glasses before the 2 weeks they quoted us. Went in with only a hint of what I was looking for and the staff there helped me sort through their huge inventory very quickly. We were able to find multiple pairs of just what I was looking for in no time at all. The hardest part was deciding on my favorite!

I walked in Saturday morning, there were three lady sit inside the counter none of them greeted until I walk towards the Chanel counter . Doctor Christensen is wonderful. All of the staff is incredibly friendly, helpful and very good at helping to pick out the perfect frames! I don’t live near the area anymore but make the drive when it’s time for my eye exam and new glasses because they are the absolute best.

Great customer service! From the front desk to the tech to the doctor, every step was pleasant. I had my two kids (7 & 4) with me and they were treated like princesses. The tech let them check out the eye scans, the doc was so patient. When my oldest was fitted for glasses, the lady helping us was patient and made it so fun. My mother walked in here recently. She was very hopeful to find a new location that was so much closer to home and accepted her insurance. Unfortunately, she came home and immediately complained to me that she felt discriminated against. Upon hearing her story, I felt very sad that she had to experience what she had to experience as an Asian American woman at Sugarloaf Eyecare. It is because of racist and unprofessional behavior that I felt compelled to write this review on her behalf because what she experienced was outrageous and should be known to the local community.First, the front staff never addressed her by her first name, ever. She was greeted by a woman who constantly had a scowl and she watched a black couple come in a few minutes later and treated in an unmistakably dismissive attitude, and she told them they had to fill out information for their visit online than on paper and was very unhelpful to them. Way to make people of color feel welcome.When my mother’s turn was up to see the doc, the front lady just pointed at my mom and said, “You. Come here. The doctor is ready to see you.” Like some kind of dog. Then for the preliminary exams she used very brusque two-word and one-word commands and never smiled at my mom. Anyone reading knows those eye puffs are painful! Wow, great first impressions, am I right? My mom understandably felt in a bad space going into the doctor. It kept going downhill from there.Going into the doc’s exam, the doctor told her very confusing advice—at first that she didn’t need glasses, but second that she could get cataract exams for $3000 per eye a pop. Casual change money. And she kept insisting that if my mom went for the surgery route, to give her a referral. Look, patients shouldn’t be referral money pots for doctors and these situations are why people view the healthcare system as broken. My mother felt she had wasted her time, underwent totally unpleasant experience, and upon leaving didn’t even get her prescription printed out for her, just dismissively told that it would get emailed.If you’re a person of color reading this, avoid this eye doc place if you can! If the owner is reading this, no, minorities do NOT want to call you to discuss negative experiences at your business. You need to be proactive to our diverse communities and create outlets for people to feel they can safely give their honest feedback in your practice. And take a look at the general ethnicity of the folks posting negative reviews. I couldn’t help but notice they tend to be from individuals of color—it doesn’t feel like a mere coincidence, and you should not take that lightly.

This is patient care and customer service at its absolute best. Dr. Christensen and Dr. Woo are excellent health care providers, using the latest technology to keep my eyes healthy. They take the time to talk to me about the health of my eyes, they are not simply dialing in my prescription to sell me glasses.The front office staff are top notch as well. They curate a collection of fashionable frames that range from highly affordable to, frankly, insane prices. But they have never tried to up-sell me. They take the time to sit with me and help me find frames that look great on me, that fit within my insurance and budget. I always leave feeling confident that Ive made a wise and flattering choice.Turnaround time is longer than an hour, usually a couple of days, but they do a great job, take the time to fit you properly, and happily make adjustments if I get out there and think that something just needs adjustment. I never did well with glasses from the fast turnaround places.Ive been a patient and customer for years and I could not imagine going anywhere else. I highly recommend you make them your eye care specialist as well.

The level of customer service is A+. When I received my eye exam I didnt feel rushed for the Dr. to get me out of the way to see another patient. The Dr explained everything in detailed.
