The store is actually nice and I would give it a higher rating except I found it kind of expensive compared to other Hispanic grocery stores. I will say its the cleanest Hispanic supermarket in the area. One suggestion is that they need to do a better job with price signs especially in the meat department etc. If they could lower their prices or have specials (fliers) then I think this store could do very well. They should send someone to Highlandtown (The Market) supermarket and look at their prices and match the prices to compare prices and compete.I would give the fresh pastries a 4 star, they were quite good and fresh. I will go back especially for the pastries since I have a huge sweet tooth 😉

Excellent! Clean, accessible, very well stocked and staffed. Tons of variety. Signs are not in English so bring Google Translate or be adventurous and get something youve never seen before!

Very expensive groceries, some of the groceries without due date, so I wasnt sure if they products were fresh, the associate can not help me with my questions, she just disappeared, very poor costumer service. No masks or hand sanitizer.

The place is clean and very well kept and organized at all times.I can walk in this place with $5 in my pocket and walk out with some necessary items to get me through the week. I just grab what I need.Items such as:ApplesAvocados (One of the best and biggest avocados Ive ever had. One will last me four meals. Softball size)CarrotsCucumbersDry beans (black, garbanzo, pinto, red kidney) (I make my own hummus)Dried ChilisFresh and Dried SpicesGarlic bulbLemons and limes (I make my own Sangria)MangosMasa (I make my own tortillas)Oats (I use as a substitute for flour in almost all of my scratch recipes from cakes, cookies, to pizza dough)Onions (green, red, and yellow)OrangesPlantainsPoblano and Serrano PeppersPotatoes (Russet and Sweet)TangerinesTomatillos (I make my own salsa verde)TomatoesYucca RootThere are days where money is insanely tight and I can go here as soon as they open and find extremely ripe fruit about to turn bad in a box at the register 4 for $1 that will go into the trash by close of business. Its still good and lasts me a few days.Plus, Ive come up maybe no more than $.25 short a couple of times checking out. Ill instruct the cashier to put something back to afford it with what I have in my wallet and they tell me not to worry about it and give me the item anyway.Everyone is very friendly and hard working. Literally everything in this place is fresh! The meat market on display in the back is really cool. I get things from here from time to time. I like the whole fresh fish, chicken, sausage, pork belly, and Ive been eyeing those racks of ribs they have. There is a station up front where they pop popcorn and corn puffs. Along with many other little treats, baked goods, and snacks fresh made. Not what you will find at other stores, but fresh and worth a try.My favorite items from the cashiers candy rack display is the La Molienda mixnut bar, Comalitos peanut patty, and the Cremas De Coco [coconut] candy. Also, they have a little restaurant inside of this place that sells hot fresh authentic homemade meals. Typically, I go for the carnitas and chorizo tacos with fresh corn tortillas with the works. It comes with fresh chips and salsa too! Along with a rice pudding to go. The price is worth it! Also, Ive had their tostadas, tamales, and flan. Never disappointed and the portions are huge. You cant go wrong ballin on a serious budget here!At times Ill walk through the entire store and find some good deals and items you cant find in other stores. I know the kids loved going into the candy, snacks, and soda aisles for something different than the norm. They always went for the cream or pineapple style sodas in the tall glass bottles from Cuba, Mexico, and Jamaica. Along with some Pork Cracklings, plantain chips, and Mexican Doritos. Knowing I dont keep an abundance of these items in my home and couldnt afford it anyway. Ill let each of them pick one of each item (a candy, soda, and chip/snack) for themselves to have during the week.

A nice and friendly place to do your shopping. They do accept credit cards to clarify another viewers comment. They have great customer service and I enjoy the items I purchase. A go to place if you are seeking authentic Mexican items. I was able to find seeded grapes, which are hard to come by. The grapes were huge, nicely priced, sweet and juicy. The bakery department is a golden peace of goodness. You will not be disappointed.

Easy to order a takeout over the phone. The person answering the phone is bilingual, which is a plus since I don’t speak Spanish.I ordered two regular pork tacos for $2.85 each and a shrimp burrito for$10.99.The tacos were spicier than I expected, but it was still good. The burrito was small for the price of $10.99, but I liked it that in every bite I could taste the shrimp. What I didn’t like was when I picked up my order I wanted to get good-sized desserts with a posted price of $2.00 each right there and I was told it was actually $3.99 each.I was willing to buy 5 of them, but not at $3.99 each!I asked nicely if the price was $2.00 because it was on sale. Again I was told that the price was $3.99. I waited to see if she would ask a supervisor to verify the posted price, but she never did.

I LOVE this market! Produce is fresh and includes a lot of unusual items, and the deli staff seem really eager to make customers happy. Its definitely stocked and staffed with a Hispanic audience in mind, but the place always has a great mix of people of all appearances. I make sure to grab some fresh ceviche every time, and they have premade salsas, guacamole, fresh cheeses, and more. Its like a mini-vacation where I can bring home milk and bread. Very grateful to have them in my neighborhood!

This great Mexican grocery store, has an excellent meat counter, a bakery, and a lunch counter. Get a bag of sliced papaya for a buck, a churro, and the only good tamales I have found in Baltimore. It is ten times the size of any other Hispanic grocery store in the area. Go there. Eat tamales. Get a churro.

As big as the sign is, I never paid attention to this gem before. Needless to say, this is my go-to spot for authentic Mexican fare. Jalepenos is a two for one haven for the yums. The grocery store has the widest variety of Latino products; food, sundries, etc. The restaurant is neatly nestled inside. The first thing you see is the coldcase full of sweets. The menus are full of goodies such as my favorite, tamales de rajas. Menus come in both English and Spanish which makes it easy to identify ingredients. Visit when you can as you wont be disappointed!

Horchatas and Jamaica cost $4.99 plus tax for a large drink which its not even a large cup its more like the medium size at macdonalds.I thought it came with free refills maybe thats why it was that expensive and when I asked why, the lady looked at me and told me exactly quote on quote because this is America. This is not the way to treat your customers, specially since most of your clientele is Latino and most of you that are reading this know what she meant by that comment and Im going to leave it right there. But really who in the right mind pays $4.99 plus tax for a drink that should cost no more than $2.00.
