We went into this experience not expecting to walk away with much. Let alone anything, really. Dave was amazing and made this experience less stressful than any other dealership Ive been to! He was able to get us into a great vehicle with low miles, and UNDER the amount we said we could afford for payments If! If thats not a win, Im not sure what is! The car wasnt on the lot, so Dave drove himself to go get it and we were in a new vehicle by the end of the evening!To say we are pleased is an understatement! Trouble on the road to Florida. GMC local dealer told us they couldnt help us until the next day. They said Fitzgerald might be able to help us. Tom Dawson at Fitzgerald was incredible! He remedied our problem and we made it on time to Florida. I can not say enough about Tom and Fitzgerald. The dealership is BIG and my wife and I know why. They treat people incredibly well. I recently brought a 2021 Jetta, and let me tell you the entire experience from start to finish was amazing. Everyone I interacted with was nothing but friendly, courteous and kind. I work with Ben, Mike and another gentlemen whose name escapes me. Each of them made sure made sure to explain all of the fine print many other dealerships do not. It made it very comfortable to want to buy a car from them understanding all of the ins and outs of the car buying experience that many other dealerships generally hide from you. I truly appreciate their upfront and honest nature in how they do business. I have previously purchased new cars before and something felt a little swindled. Not this time... I will be purchasing from Fitz Auto mall in Frederick for years to come.

Top notch experience from the first phone call! I was looking for a particular model vehicle - 2019 CPO VW Tiguan SEL Premium R-Line. Theres not many around but I did find one at Fitz Auto Mall. The problem was, the dealership was 2 hours away and I really didnt want to drive all that way. Well thats where my awesome salesman Eric Cook stepped in. He had the vehicle delivered (out of state mind you) free of charge by a charming senior gentleman named Charles. Eric also gave me KBB for my trade and had all the paperwork mailed to my nearest tag place. It was the most enjoyable car buying experience Ive ever had (and Ive bought a lot of cars). Eric was also there via text message 24-7 to answer any questions that I had. Oh, and I absolutely love the vehicle. A+++ all around. Thanks Fitzgerald Auto Mall!!!

Have not had a good experience with the Frederick location. Test drove a car that we were Interested in. The idol was rough. They had put the car on the lot for sale and it ended up needing a new engine. We purchased another vehicle from them. They did not have the title to the car they sold us. It took 5 months to get the title and tags on the car. I took it in for an oil change at the dealership. My son had put less then 3000 miles on the car since it was purchased. We decided to get the oil change and tire rotation since it had been almost 7 months since the purchase. The service advisor called and said we need 4 new tires. He quoted me a price and asked if I would like to replace the tires. When I told him it was less then 3000 miles since purchase, he said it was a “soft” recommendation. Not sure if they sold a car with 5000 miles of life left in the tires or the service department is trying to rip me off.

Best car buying experience of my life. Rob and the crew put me in my dream car!Let’s break this down:Within minutes of me checking for the availability of the 2019 Mazda CX - 5 on Cars.com, salesman Rob contacted me and asked if I wanted to check out the car in person. He wasn’t pushy but was wanting to help. I told him what time I was hoping to come in and he said he’ll be ready for me to look at the car and test drive it if I wished. The car is awesome and the test drive was awesome. But I noticed some scratches on the outside and a little on one of the panels. And when one of the managers had checked in with me via text after my test drive I told him about the possibility of removing or fixing those blemishes to an otherwise perfect piece of art! So the manager and Rob along with their body shop specialist worked together to get every spot that I mentioned completely fixed! And all along the way Rob checked in consistently to give me updates.On the day of purchase, Rob had me send over my insurance to expedite the process and the thing took a hour! I bought a car in less than a hour! When I told them that I was allocating finds and that my check won’t clear for two more business days, they said “no worries”. Go take your new car home! It’s yours now! I was so elated! It was definitely one of the best days of my life 😆

I bought my Mazda3 Sport GT in 2014 and the sales process was very easy and the car has been good since then. I liked their service on the car, but found it quicker to go to Jiffy Lube for a quicker experience. But this year, with the virus and all, I let them pick up my car and return it to my home, and the service I got was exceptionally good. They changed the oil and gave me a complete read out of all the cars service elements. My car (and I) are in good shape. Jack Fitzgerald has a good shop in Frederick.

Most times Ive dealt with them after buying my vehicle have been pretty bad. Vehicle issues immediately after purchase with the key fob and exhaust, supposedly the gas tank had to be replaced but then magically didnt (this was never explained to me).Ive requested services with my oil changes that they then didnt perform. Most recently I used my service agreement purchased with the vehicle (700$, each oil change a 70$ value) for a full synthetic oil change, and over the next couple months oil leaked until I realized they didnt tighten the plug all the way, literally not even snugged up to the oil pan let alone hand or ratchet-tightened. I had to do a full oil change myself because the dipstick didnt even show anything in the engine; there was under a quart left when I drained it. Now I dont even know if I can trust them to do a standard oil change according to the contract.

Purchased my second Suburban from Fitzgerald. First one (1997) was still running after 250,000 miles and 23 years.Traded it in for 2020. Like driving computerized rocket ship. Sales rep worked long and hard to find it. Great job. Service department is the best. In and out in about 1 hour. I will be back in another 23 years for number Suburban number 3.

I used to appreciate the work that I received until one day they charged me the max amount allowed to service my car. I paid over 500 for them to remove a leaf from my filter. I was told it was tedious because they had to remove my dashboard which was funny because the same dust was there so I doubt they did all that they said. I went to another dealership who broke down the charge and how the came up with the amount. Its sad that you truly have to watch who you trust.

The Frederick, MD store is the absolute worst service department Ive ever done business with. Totally screw you over. Rude counter agent (Mauricio) and manager (Movern). This last time they did not disclose there would be a diagnostic fee, then would not release the vehicle (they did no work on it) until we paid a $145 diagnostic fee. And to think I have purchased three vehicles from them. They lost a customer over $145. To top it off they said we have a ton of diagnostic codes and cleared them. We didnt have any. I checked that first before bringing the van into them. Stay very, very clear of these people. Borderline criminal. That must be the FitzWay.

Buying a car from this place was by far the worst experience I ever had. To sum things up I was robbed. I purchased a Volkswagen Passat in October a short time after I realized that my car was burning excessive oil. I took my car back to Fitzgerald to have a diagnostic while under warranty, more then once they couldn’t find the problem. Once my car was out of warranty they find the problem. Then they offer to put a used motor without turbo in my car and offer to pay half of the price. Completely railroaded me and left me with no options that I was satisfied with!! I will never buy another car or spend another dime with this place ever again in my life! Left me very stressed and depressed about my vehicle. Not to mention the fact that I asked to speak with the general manager several times and he never showed his face or called me to handle the situation BAD BUSINESS!!

Stopped by the Frederick location after renting a car on vacation (CX-5). Nice vehicle, nice enough to go and test drive one when we got back. Ended up purchasing a CX-5 with help from Zak Hieronimus. During the test drive, there was not any pressure even after we spoke about going to test drive another vehicle. The process was smooth, and we were out of there within an hour with a new vehicle. Painless experience. Would go back again do the entire process over. Ill follow up this post with an update on the service department and CX-5. As of right now, pleasant experience thus far.

I really dont trust this company when it comes to car repairs. They are very unprofessional. The staff in the repair department are very rude an unorganized in my experience.This is in response to my first posting. I spoke with the manager his name is Seth about my experience with his staff. He apologized for the manner in which his employee spoke to me on the phone. He also went a step more by offering my daughter a loaner car while hers is being repair.He was very professional in his dealing with me and my daughter. Fitzgerald Auto Mall is an amazing dealership. Would recommendI went through the painful process of buying a car over the phone while in one state, and trying to get my father on as a Co-sign in a whole other state across the country. It was not easy, but these guys were all here for me and were authentic in the way they helped me.The only reason I give 4 stars is because I felt at times they werent getting back to me on things that I needed in a good time. It would be like Let me ask and Ill get back to you then the next day they would tell me what I needed to know. This happened on several occasions. Now I also understand that I am ignorant as to how dealerships work and it couldve been extremely busy without me knowing. There were times where I was frustrated waiting for an answer on something and wanted to give it a 1 or 2 star because of this issue, but when took a step back and viewed the experience as a whole, it was a absolutely positive.So overall, they were authentic, got me an AMAZING deal, and worked with me even though it probably wasnt easy for them to work with me from several different states in a way. I would absolutely recommend this dealership to anyone whose looking for a new ride!

Easiest car buying experience ever! No dancing back and forth with managers, etc. My sales rep, Zakarie H. was great from start to finish. Went out of his way to send me videos of the vehicle I test drove. Answered all my questions, even responded to text messages after hours. I ended up buying an awesome VW Atlas Cross Sport one trim level up from the one I test drove. Great follow up from first visit, through the sale, and after Id purchased the vehicle. I purchased my last car from Fitz back in 2013. So while making the rounds looking for a new car, I made sure Id look here.First, I perused the lot. After a reasonable amount of time, a salesperson approached. Roxy Dunn introduced herself and answered all of my questions. She didnt steer me to any particular car nor ask my budget. Roxy highlighted the points of each vehicle that met my needs.Im not impressed by high pressure sales tactics. What impresses me is how a salesperson treats potential clients. Ms. Dunn was very real and nice to work with. Im not sure if Ill purchase a car from here (Im tending towards a make they dont sell) but I do recommend this dealership.

Impeccable customer service! Went to a few places prior to Fitz Mall Frederick and the moment we started talking with the employees we knew this was the place to be. Leon Johnson was our sales associate and he was remarkable. He listened to our wants/needs and didn’t push unnecessary things on us like most salespeople do. He was patient, listened to us, and jumped through many hoops. He’s also one of the coolest guys ever. Truly treated us like family! I bought my car here 3 years ago and had a great experience. Recently got some service done during their 30% off Covid deal. When we came to pick up my car we ended up leaving with another... and now I’m thinking I might need to upgrade to the cx-5 from my cx-3!My boyfriend bought a new Miata and while he was working out the paperwork the sales team let me test drive one of the new 2020 cx-5s. They gave us a great route to try that was a lovely way to test out some country back roads and a little highway driving. We ended up staying past close to finish the paperwork and the team was so kind. We didn’t feel rushed and they made us feel like we were welcome from the minute we stepped on the lot. Their no haggle pricing makes things easy and they even let us know about some discounts we could get from being current Mazda owners.

My girlfriend and I had an awesome experience at this location. I have purchased 3 cars from dealerships in the past and this was the best experience to date. Jeff greeted us and took care of us and Mike took care of the financial paperwork. Both gentlemen were straight forward and helpful throughout the interaction. I contacted Fitzgerald in Frederick about having problem with my car it was making a loud noise when I braked.After taking it there for the 1st time they told me that the issue was in the rear of the car and they said I needed new brakes and Rotors,I told them I just changed them about 5 months ago them being so called professional Mechanics I took there advise and had them change the rotors and brakes.A couple days letter I notice my car was making the same noise so I contacted Fitzgerald service department in Frederick for the second time and made another appointment,I get there on a Saturday and I didn’t hear anything until I called Monday at lunch time and they said it’s now being put on the lift I get a call within 20 minutes saying it’s my front rotors and brakes so they had my car for 2 days and it took them 20mins to find the issue.so now they want another 500 dollars to do my front rotors and brakes I asked them why do I have to pay for it You told me the first time it was my rear brakes and rotors after I done told them I just changed my rear brakes and rotors 5 months ago.They changed something that wasn’t what was causing the loud noise.Fitzgerald service department in Frederick is a bunch of Crooks.I don’t want to see anybody have to go through what I did.Don’t get robbed like I did.

Horrible people. We were treated really bad here. They were extremely rude to first my elderly mother, then myself. We came to have our car serviced, because of a recall letter we received. They caused more problems than they fixed, and then tried to charge us for the recall repair. Wouldnt give us our car back. It took over an hour of fighting and we had to call the car manufacturer for them to release our car. Very mean, very deceitful, untrustworthy people here. Please dont patronize this company.

We needed a tuneup of some sort, the engine was running a little rough. It seemed besides spark plugs and settings, one of the catalytic converters and its O2 sensors were bad. This is an expensive job, but the car runs better now, and can pass emissions testing. I am glad I did not try this job myself. The converter is buried up between the engine and firewall. The job is listed as eight hours labor. I have posted three other photos, but here is one looking forward to the engine, try to find the converter buried in there. Tom D. is a great service writer, we have worked with him many times over the years. Thanks!

No le recomiendo a nadie ir a comprar ahí, el vehículo que me mostraron estaba muy sucio aun cuando tuve una cita dos días antes de esa fecha, presento muchos golpes por fuera: las parte del enfrente, atrás, las puertas y la explicación muy amable del vendedor fue que no estaba comprando un auto nuevo, lo que ya sabia, pero no sabia qué estaba comprando en una subasta de carros chocados, suponía que era una venta de autos usados de primera, al final te quieren vender una garantía del auto que es similar a la garantía que trae de fabrica un automóvil con menos de cinco años de fabricación y menos de 50k de uso.I do not recommend anyone to go shopping there, the vehicle they showed me was very dirty, even when I made an appointment two days before that date, it had many dents and paint scratches on the outside: the front, back, the doors and the very friendly explanation the seller gave me was that I am not buying a new car, which I should have already known. I knew it was an used car, but did not know I was buying at a wrecked car from an auction. I assumed it was a first-rate used car sale. In the end they also wanted to sell a warranty on the car that is almost the warranty that comes automatically from the factory on a car with less than five years of manufacture and less than 50k of use, which is free. I recommend that they give their sales staff some customer service classes and worry more about the presentation of the cars they are trying to sell or supervise more the cleaning work of these and better supervise the work of their mechanics. First of all, this is officially a 4.5 out of 5.0 (star) review. Everything didnt go perfect, but there was a lot that went right, and my case was an unusual one. I had email and text alerts set up for a very specific model, trim, features, color (and of course, price) Corvette. Fitz MD Received one in stock and I called within 15 minutes of the post going up. I live in Florida (Im sure it seemed suspicious), but they did provide me with insight and pricing, and it was already an awesome deal. I told them to lock me in but through some unfortunate miscommunication, we lost about a day and another buyer nearly was able to buy it out from under me. In the end, my sales rep (Brian) and a sales manager (Jamie) got a sold tag on it and even helped me with coordinating logistics to my state. Tax tag title and everything was handled seamlessly, minus a temp tag not being sent (was not needed anyway). I was extremely pleased to find the vehicle I was searching for at a great price, let alone at a dealer?! Everything comes down to the price but in the end great service goes along way. I would definitely buy another vehicle from Fitz (for a great deal, like this one) in the future!

Stan in service was wonderful. He made sure we got everything we needed and even kept an eye on my toddler while I was getting our car seats installed in our car again after we picked it up. There is also a nice playroom for younger kids to keep busy, and both a shuttle and loaner cars if you need to leave your vehicle there for a while.

It was recommended by pastor that I stop into this dealer to look for a new car. I must say that everyone was very respectful of my time and were willing to educate me. I continue to save up and will be getting the car they let me test drive and are helping me with a few credit concerns. My partner and I like to pay cash for everything and recently paid for a home improvement project that has strained our savings.

Worth the drive up to the Germantown or Gaithersburg for better customer service. When I called in to talk to a sales person about a car I was interested in I sounded way more excited than the sales person on the phone. All they asked was, “can I get your number and name?” Once I gave them that info asked for 8-10 mins to call me back. You’d think in a pandemic these commissioned based employees would be excited to get a customer inside the building to discuss numbers or at least eager to get the customer into the building for a test drive.Best part is when the “salesman” called me back all he had to say was “hey so the car you called about yeah it’s available.” No excitement in his voice to make a sale. There was a long awkward pause, I was thinking he’d go into asking me questions about how soon I’d need a vehicle, but he said nothing. I said thank you and hung up the phone. Hope the sales manager sees this and offers up training to his sales staff, especially because this is not the first time I’ve called and gotten similar responses.

Just had a great experience here. It’s the first time I visited to get my oil changed. Everyone was super friendly and the wait time was under what they had estimated. It was quoted for 45 minutes and it only took 35-40 minutes. Highly recommend. Fast and friendly service.

Go in for an oil change and leave in a shoebox rental since they stripped out the oil plug. So jiffy lube of them. I would expect better from dealership. Oh and they have only done all the oil changes on my new truck. Received truck back with grease on drivers seat. Didnt even wash it as a good gesture.

I contacted the Fitzgerald Fredrick location regarding installation of brakes for my 2016 Chevy Camaro. I previously purchased the parts and just needed installation. I was told $270 to install front brake pads and $280 to install rear brake pads. I made it very clear that it was for brake pad installation only. They charge by the hour, as most shops do. I was shocked by the amount of time needed to install just brake pads. Really 4 hours? When I questioned the customer service rep about the amount of time and price his response is, “well I don’t know what to tell you, that’s what we charge”.So of course I call other Chevy dealerships and I am quoted $135 for each axel. That’s $280 less than what this dealership was going to charge me.I called the Fitzgerald Frederick location back and spoke to the manager Tom. He then tells me that the guy must have thought you wanted brakes and rotors. That’s completely not true. The guy that I initially spoke with was rude and I specifically told him what I needed. Again, I even disagreed with him about the amount of time it would take to just do brake pads.I truly believe that the guy knew that I was African American and he didn’t feel as though I deserved thorough customer service. His answers were short and I didn’t receive an explanation for why it would take so long to put on brake pads other than, “Well I don’t know what to tell you, that’s what we charge.”I have been a long time customer but I will no longer be getting my car serviced by this company. I will just take my car to Criswell in Gaithersburg.

I need a car and due to some major illness where medical bills caused me problems with getting new car financing I called Fitzgerald ChevroletI sent a personal email to Mr. Fitzgeralds email address I was givenTwo days later he personally called meAfter some anicodotes I recalled he remembered me.We spoke for maybe 20 minutes like old friendsMe asking for a fair deal and financing in a new Chevy he one of the most successful automotive dealers in AmericaHe turned me over to his sales manager Mario who spent three days dealing with lenders putting a deal together.Today at about noon Mario called to tell me to come in and get my 2021 Chevy.Thank you Mario.I wish to add that Roxy the sales representative who personally delivered my car did a wonderful job and gave me a followup call today to make sure all was well with my new 2021 ChevyCant get any better than this. I have heard the non stop ads on the radio about Fitz Mall having the Low Price. I have shopped there several times and that is just not true. I have NEVER found them to have the low price. In fact on my last Suburban, I paid THOUSANDS less to purchase a similar truck - make, model and miles elsewhere. The staff I have encountered have been extremely pushy and rude. When you want to sell me a car, dont try to pick a fight! That will NEVER win me over. I had one friend that bought from Fitz and the minivan was a lemon. They had to bring it back over and over and over for the same issues and Fitz DID NOT stand behind it. With what I have seen and experienced personally, I will not shop here again and I have and will continue to discourage others from shopping at any of the Fitzgerald family conglomerate.

3 August 2019. Received a fuel induction service. Two days later, four hours into a cross-country trip, the car stops moving. Got it going again. Happens again an hour west of Albuquerque. Waited 15 minutes and it started. Dealership here puts in a new fuel pump, full price, on a two-year-old car. I put some light to moderate scratches on the loaner car rear plastic quarter panel and was billed $1285, 6 September 2019. Mr. Jim Harvey laughed at the fact that the insurance company covered $285. Ill come back only if I need to.

Have purchased two vehicles here myself, and helped family members buy their vehicles as well. Everything was easy, and the sales people were upfront in every way possible. My dads used truck was the same price as promised; my moms new Mazda had excellent discounts on it--and she got an additional discount because my Mazda is registered at the same address!!!!!! And when I bought my second Mazda I qualified for an additional Owner Loyalty rebate and trade in bonus from Mazda.Over all, VERY pleased with the customer service in sales ans the service/parts departments. All of the staff is super friendly!!!! I love coming here for my oil change!!! I have a month old baby boy and I asked to see if I have time to feed him. They had no issues going to check for me!!! Then they took it a step further and found me a quiet spot so I can breastfeed. I didn’t want to make the other customers uncomfortable about it. They are truly really great and understanding people!!!! On top of that my husband and I recently bought a new truck from here and they were super awesome!!! They were not pushy like some other dealers and will work with you about a budget!!!! Will most definitely be coming back!!!

I hate bringing my car here for service. It’s the worst dealer experience and there are some really snarky advisors that don’t mind lying to you. No one has ever returned my calls so if you need an issue resolved, be prepared to follow up multiple times. My suggestion is to drive out of your way to avoid this place, especially if you have a Chevy that needs service.Edit to respond - it was not my perception that I was lied to. Telling me it takes longer to paint a part because “it’s a two-stage paint” is a flat out lie - two-stage paint doesn’t take 3 weeks to dry. I can understand miscommunication, delays (when relayed/communicated) but to blithely throw out an excuse that’s not even true - that’s not excusable. Appreciate the person who took the time to call and understand the issue, don’t appreciate the spin because they care more about a google review than they do about correcting the issue.

I leased two cars from this dealership. The initial experience was good, but two years into the first lease, they offered me to trade in my lease early. I came in and looked a new cars. My leased car had only 16,000 miles on it and sales person, Isaac, pushed very hard to trade it in on the spot. I have children and mentioned that I wanted to detail the vehicle first, but he said not to worry and that they would take care of it. Then he promptly sent me a bill for over $300 of cleaning charges! I have refused to pay and they have harassed me through various collection agencies for years now. Yet Im sure they made a nice profit given that the car had such low mileage and was in great condition. I will never buy or lease another Toyota after this experience.
