My experience with this place was wonderful! How often do you hear that about mechanics? The staff was professional throughout my enceounters with them. They kept me updated on the progress of my vehicle via phone and text messages. They educated me on the work that was needed and didnt try to sell me on unnecessary services. And on top of all that, they gave me a warranty on the work that was performed. I was very impressed with the service here!

Christian Brothers, and Im including every single one Ive visited, has hands down the most superb customer service. Ive only used them, exclusively, f for over three years now because of their outstanding service and willingness to work with you financially... Makes them #1 in automotive maintenance and repair. (Given Im merely a customer without any agency like consumer reports). I do pride myself in writing detailed, transparent, and hopefully useful or helpful reviews. I love you Christian Brothers, which shows Im non-biased given their name... Seeing as Im actually agnostic and all... I digress... 😂🤣
We had our coolant system fixed by them but it was not fixed and caused other systems to fail. We had a warranty but because other systems failed they said it would cost $3500 to fix. They were very impatient when we asked them to explain it to us and accused us of “grasping at straws to try to make a connection” it was a really frustrating experience.
They were ready for me at my appointment time. The staff was very very polite to everyone that was waiting for service. They offered the free ride home if I wanted but it was a short stay so I waited. The service came in cheaper then they had quoted me because there was less work to be done which is the real surprise. Overall it was a great experience for someone who is leery of mechanics

This is our go-to automotive group since we moved to Friendswood last year. They are quick and reliable. They have gotten us in same-day when needed. All of their parts and labor have a 3 year warranty. What we really appreciate most is that if they make a mistake, they own it and make it right.

I left disappointed. i wont be back. This was my first visit. I went for an alignment check. i was told initially that there was no cost for checking alignment. But essentially they really do charge for checking - since they proceed with alignment (and its ensuing cost) if the alignment check reveals the vehicle is outside of alignment specs. this policy doesnt allow a customer to forgo alignment if any benefit from it is questionable such as in the case of only ONE item being barely out of spec. i was really annoyed that the person at the counter could not explain my questions regarding the graphical representation of the before and after alignment. (I have made many graphs in my life for my customers and am very comfortable with graphs.) p.s. i called later to ask about their guarantee and i got a long winded, non nonsensical reply. it went something like ... they cant say because if one hits a pothole .... but they stand with their customer .. and they dont really have one. it would be entertaining to find the recording and listen to it.) i should have asked more questions before going there.
I LOVE this shop! I’ve been trading here since the middle of last year and have had a front end alignment, two oil changes, and a major AC related repair. In every instance the customer service has not only been exceptional, it’s the best I’ve ever experienced at an auto repair shop. (I’m 65, so that’s saying a lot.) The guys at the counter are friendly and knowledgeable, and the whole operation is computerized, streamlined, and highly professional. Most importantly, Christian Brothers is honest and transparent. They honor their estimates, they do what they say they’re going to, and they don’t try to pad your invoice with unnecessary repairs or bogus hidden charges. Every interaction I’ve had here so far has been a good experience. They also have a shuttle service, which is a real Godsend. In short, these folks are easy to do business with and you feel good about it after you pay your bill. What a relief it is to have an honest auto mechanic in my corner! Please keep up the good work, guys!
This was my first time at Christian Brothers and it definitely will not be my last. Great friendly service, price transparency, courtesy shuttle home, offered to order an Uber to pick me up to bring me back to the shop when my vehicle was ready (some staff went home early) and they even washed my vehicle 😳!!! I’m beyond amazed of the great service from beginning to end. Thank you ☺️

Honestly love taking my car to Christian Brothers in Friendswood!!! Everyone there is so friendly, the pricing is reasonable, and they are efficient. I normally make an appointment but had to drive straight there when an engine light came on. A couple hours later and they already have the problem diagnosed. Kudos to everyone at Christian Brothers!!! My car is in good hands.

I brought my vehicle in for a state inspection, and oil change with knowledge that I needed a few new bulbs to pass inspection. The gentlemen assisting me were very helpful and polite. They completed the work done on my vehicle in a timely fashion. I appreciate the honesty about not locating one of the bulbs, but in turn they told me where I could find it and gave me the bulb to show them. I can only say as a former military mechanic, how much I appreciate that. Finding correct parts and troubleshooting can be very difficult sometimes. Being honest with the customer about the issue builds trust. Great service, clean restroom, nice waiting area with coffee and water. All of this goes to say that you still can find good customer service in 2019!

Even though I took it home to fix, they were honest in the diagnostics of the vehicle, I already knew the issue but wanted a second opinion. They even tried to work with me on the price since the labor and parts cost were high but ran with industry standards for that type of vehicle issues. They also dropped me off and picked me up. Very polite
Took my daughters Ford Focus to get it the water pump changed. Service was fantastic, price was great and they gave it a 2 year warranty. Very happy with the service. Will definitely use them again.

This review is based solely on appearance and not actual service. I went in on my lunch break to get an oil change but they were booked. This was my first time visiting this chain and I was impressed. Very nice automotive facility, clean and pleasant waiting room with calming scents. I hope to try them soon!

Drove by christian brothers yesterday because i was having trouble getting my state inspection. iv taken my vehicle to two different shops now trying to understand why my car isnt passing state inspection. i got the pleasure of talking to Jonathan one of the technicians there and he explained to me the exact reason my car wouldnt set the monitors.I could tell he was very knowledgeable about cars and was honest enough to tell me that i could take my car back where i failed my state inspection within in a certain amount of time and not have to pay for another inspection once my monitors were ready. very impressed with the staff at cba friendswood!

After reading customer reviews and researching the products that this company offers, I brought my vehicle into Christian Brothers to purchase multiple flushes for my automobile: transmission, coolant, power steering and brakes. My vehicle was completed in a very reasonable time and I received excellent customer service. I was also very pleased to learn that they only employ master mechanics. Fair prices, but they are very busy many of the times Ive been there. The staff at the desk explain the repairs and what is needed to make the repairs. Keep in mind that the price/flag hour of mechanic labor keeps rising. Ask about that price at each mechanic shop. I appreciate that they offer to take you home or to work and they call you in a reasonable amount of time about your repair work.
Im torn as to what I should rate this location as my 1st service with them was perfect and made me a returning customer. However on this most recent visit I had told the tech, I was still under warranty and to call the number as I was instructed by my warranty agent. I asked that when my vehicle arrived via tow to call me after diagnostics were run. Now I now shops are pretty busy so I didnt except a call within the 1st hour the vehicle was there but after 4 hours and no call, I called. Diagnostics had been run and I asked the tech if he had called the warranty place to see if I was covered. I was told that most warrantys dont cover this particular issue. I said well IF they dont cover I still need my car running properly so proceed with repairs. The next morning I received a call that my vehicle was repaired . I picked up my vehicle and asked once more so what did the warranty place say? Yeah they arent going to cover it. I pay the 300$ + and I get to my office and I had a gut feeling. So I decided to call the warranty place and what do you know... No call was ever made and Im covered but the warranty place wouldnt reimburse since the work was done without authorization. At this point Im furious because I asked twice if they were called and I was told by CB I wasnt covered. This company prides itself on honesty and being nice but I received dishonesty. The reason Im torn on this review is because while CB was dishonest they did rectify the situation and handled it well. I was seriously expecting some fight back when I requested a refund minus the deductible but the situation was handled nicely and promptly 🤷 I question whether or not Ill be a returning customer after this situation but I advise anyone else to call your warranty agent when you drop the vehicle off and dont take their word for it.

I have my 1984 restored corvette that was not running right and I brought it to Christian Brothers and they took there time to see what was wrong and made sure they did not return my car until the problem was fixed. John and staff ROCK.They kept me informed and told me exactly what was going to be repaired, I would recommend this place to all my friends and family.
I was a loyal customer for years always taking my 10 plus year old vehicle to them for work. Every Time I took my car in the worst possible scenario is what was presented to me.This last and final straw was when I took my car in because the Air Compressor was going out. They replaced mine for about $1200.I immediately went back to complain that the new AC was not blowing very cold. They took it in for a bit and then told me that it was fine and blowing within normal range.I had to accept that my new $1200 AC was only blowing half as cold as it should. Now exactly two years later the compressor has completely given out and it is extremely hot in my car everywhere I go.Of course the warranty had expired a month earlier and the milage had gone over by a couple thousand miles.I feel like the compressor that they used was either used or just bad and they did not want to redo the repair when I complained. I have been driving around in this summer heat steaming over the fact that I spent so much money on a crappy part and got the brush off when I tried to have it fixed right.Now I have to find an Auto Shop that I can trust.
Love these guys. I hate feeling like a stupid woman when I get my car fixed. These guys dont make you feel that way. Derek, the owner, is so nice. Burl knows what hes doing and talks me through what I need to know. Beyond that, they are so nice that I usually just hang out while theyre working on it. BUT if you need a ride, they will take you home and pick you up later. So awesome. Highly recommended.
I only had a state inspection done but they were very nice and got me done in a very reasonable amount of time.
My first time having done business with this auto shop. Very clean waiting room. Very nice staff. Unfortunately, while waiting for a three minute courtesy ride home to wait for repairs, I was subjected to staying out of the cleaning ladys way for about half an hour while listening to the manager drone on and on about his recent plumbing dilemma concerning his toilet at home, and all that entailed......gross. The time it took for this manager to complete his complaining about his personal life, his customer, me, could have been driven home a few times. I decided to get over it and hope for the best. The work was done quickly and for an acceptable price, so when I got the your car is ready call, I requested an oil change and asked about possibly having something else fixed. I was promised a call back which didnt happen for two days. When I called for an update, it was clear my call had been dismissed. My request for further repairs was not noted, but my oil change had been done. Evidently, my car had been waiting for me but nobody bothered to call. I was not in a rush, but if its ready, call the customer. Again, I remained cheerful and patient while retrieving my car, until I paid and asked where my car was. Not only did they not bother to bring my car up front, my car was pointed out to me, which was crammed next to a police SUV, in the middle of a full parking lot, with another SUV not two feet behind me making it impossible to back out.I had to go find someone to help me. I was a memory before Id even left the parking lot. Todd was the only good memory I have of this shop, but my car runs better, which is important. Whether Ill be back or not is unclear right now. Still kinda stings.
We just picked up our car from Christian Brothers in Friendswood, TX. They gave us a ride to the house when we dropped it off and offered to do the same when it was ready. They are very helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. It was ready when they said it would be. This was our 3rd experience with them and we will continue to use them for our car repairs as well as recommend them to our friends.

I just dropped my car off for them to fix a problem caused by discount tire. So far Christian Brothers have provided me with excellent customer service. After getting ripped off by Clearlake Honda time after time I am hoping this will be the place that I will spend my money. I hope to gain the trust that my car will be fixed right and not lied to as the dealership tends to do every time. My repairs at Clearlake Honda have been around $800-$5,000 every time but the dealership never seems to fix it right even after paying them. I am always thinking well “it is the dealership”.Derrick is incredibly awesome and has been extremely helpful. I pray I found a place I can trust and feel confident that my car will fixed right. I am so glad discount tire broke my stud off my wheel so that I was able to find Christian Brothers.

I was greeted with a friendly smile & a listening ear. He wrote down all my concerns about the how the other shop had failed to fix on my brakes. They really looked into the cause of the problem instead of just spraying the stop squeak. Problem was completely fixed. I will definitely be a repeat customer whenever I need my car fixed.
First time there and it was i good experience
Very disappointed. I had some replacement headlight bulbs installed and they kept the perfectly good bulbs. I requested for them to be returned and they could not find them. In addition, the new bubs are not even aligned properly.
Highly recommended. Always had great service. Theyve never tried to scam or overcharge me. In fact theyve saved me from unnecessary work being done that other shops tried to convince me I needed.

Was on a very long trip from KY to Galveston TX, had an oil leak on my 6.0 powerstroke. They had me fixed up and back on the road in less then an hour, used motorcraft parts too! Awesome folks, great service, and extremely fair pricing!
I have always trusted Christan brothers to do our automobile repairs...until this last time!8 months ago I paid them ALOT of money to fix the O2 sensor in my Cadillac. 8 months later, the check engine light comes on. Had a test run and said it was the O2 sensor. Brought it back to Christian Brothers because their work was supposed to be under warranty. They told me I needed to replace the catalytic converters and some bearings for $3k and charged me $100 for the diagnostic check. Told them I would have to wait because thats alot of money. Waited about a month and a half (my car say in the driveway), went to bring my car for a second opinion and the check engine light DISAPPEARED. ran diagnostics again and everything is fine! Seems like Christian Brothers tried to pull a fast one one me. Never going to them again without a second opinion.

Used CBA for the first time, and I was impressed at the courtesy and efficiency of the shop. I only had minor repairs and an inspection, but they had my work van ready to go in minutes. I will definitely be using them again.
They took my Honda Element without an appoint at the end of the day for replacement of a starter. It was ready the next day. Total charge was exactly as quoted. I dont know how much the dealership would have charged but my wallet did not seem to hurt as much this time.I would recommend CBA.David Fisher
Stopped in needing some help to get 1 bolt I couldnt get on a hitch I put in. The guys were friendly and accommodated me, not only did they get the bolt in for me they made sure all the other bolts were tightened down properly as well. And then didnt even charge me for it....I will definitely come back here next time I need some work done.

I took my daughters 1990 ford truck here after it lost all its transmission fluid and after it had been in another car shop 2 other times. It has no computer because it is so old so it couldnt be hooked to a computer to tell them what was going in with it. They work endlessly to figure out what was wrong with. It eneded up not being the transmission (which we thought it was).When some other shops would have just replaced the transmission and charged me an arm and a leg. They were Conscientious of the thought that i had already had it in another shop for repairs and they didnt want to empty my wallet with unnecessary repairs. They wouldnt let us pick it till they were sure they had fixed the problem. The truck runs better than it did then when we first bought It for my daughter. They are super friendly and very customer oriented. I will defiantly being taking all my vehicles back to them. Thank you so much for easing this moms mind when her 17 year old daughter is driving her truck around.

I typically do my own repairs. I recently had issues with my truck, but did not have the time to fix it myself. They arranged to have it towed to the shop, and had it diagnosed the same day. They thoroughly explained the issue and what needed to be done. Once I gave approval to have the work done, they had it completed within a day, and the bill was exactly what they quoted. The staff was professional and friendly. From this point forward, I wont take my vehicles anywhere else.

My best experience ever. The owner Derek Phillips was very courteous and friendly. Shaun the Service Manager was exceptional in his knowledge and also very friendly. He explained the repairs that needed to be done and the cost, I never felt pressured. Burl the Sevice Advisor showed me exactly what was being done and gave me a time frame. He gave me a ride to my home as a curtesy and picked me up when repairs were completed. This was awesome! The rest room where so clean, the waiting room very comfortable and coffe the best. I saved 20% on the alinement with coupon, also used coupon on my oil change. The best thing is they treat me like family😊
I have driven by Christian Brothers Automotive many times wondering how their customer service and actual automotive service would be IF i needed machaninc work done on my Truck. I most perform all my own work on my truck.So yesterday I had to replace the U-Jount bearings in my truck. I had difficulty removing the bearings from the Aluminum drive shaft and did not want to bend anything.I called them, expecting to pay for the removal and insertion. They said come on over, bring your drive shaft and part and they would take a look and let me know what needed to be done and how much it would be.Kim the mechanic came out and said it was really easy, cmon to the back and I will show you.He removed the bad bearings, explaining how to do it and also how to install the new bearings so I could install the remaining bearings myself.As I left I stopped by front desk to pay and they said dont worry about it, just remember us when you need additional work completed in the future.God was watching out for me today and I am grateful for his guidance. I am struggling to make ends meet as i build my business and did not have the money for an expensive repair bill.Thank so much! You all at Christian brothers made my day! Youre a blessing. Very first time my husband and I decided to use another car services other than honda service. My husband and I choose Christian Brothers in Friendswood after a close friends recommendation.I regret this decision after I lost my car engine.It was a very simple thing, just an oil change. They did change our Honda Civic Hybrid cars oil but our car did not go even 1 mile. Something was wrong. They said that they will look at it again while we were still in their parking lot with my 3 year-old gentle used new car. I was trying to understand what could have happened. We spent 3 hours there before they figured it out that they broke the engine. They said sorry and gave us a rent car. I cried. I waited 4 days. Then, I got a phone call, saying that they will put a new engine with one year warranty and they fired te technician who was responsible from it. Okay, this sounded a good idea. Well, I thought that they did put a new engine.A few weeks after, my cars engine light came on. I unfortunatelly went to the same place. Now, they told me that I neded a new thermostat. I paid 450$ for a new thermostat. Guess what, my engine light came on again right after 3 weeks they changed the thermostat.I would not make the same mistake again and I went to Honda service this time. The technician said problem is the thermostat. We told him everything we experienced with Christian Brothers. The tech stated that if the engine was changed, usually thermostat comes with it. I guess wha they did was to fix our engine which they broke in the first hand and put it together back into the car. Why would a new thermostat make any issue? The tech did not want to say any more but I got what I needed. Eventhough they gave us one year warranty with this sort of new engine and sort of new thermostat, I will not go back to this place again. Imagine a doctor does not know how to do a simple operation and kills you.Finally, I was tired. I did not go back there to asked them about the thermostat or was engine new or not. I do not want to see them again at all.Some other people may have really good experience with them but my experience was really poor. When they read this-if they read- they will know who I was from the car that they massed up. Maybe it was my bad luck all this happened. I know for sure I am not going to use them again ever.
