I had the shop replace my transmission and work was performed beyond my expectations. Just picked up truck for engine diagnostic for truck shuttering . They resolved issues in a very timely fashion and runs great. Highly recommend Eagle Transmission and automotive

Transmission alert dashboard and I was like recommended the $130 diagnostic. The diagnosis received was only was given verbally and not written on the invoice and only as the problem stated I had provided. When I ask for a print out with details of the diagnosis I received a summary document with a check of 23 items 1 failure without details or reference to what was checked. Clearly this was deception.

I’m am a DIY kind of guy, I could not remove the fill and drain plugs on my manual transmission. I set up a time to come by and have Eagle bust the plugs loose so I could complete the job myself. It wasn’t free, but the price they charged I felt was fair.

Jeff, Paul and Austin were awesome! I have a 1974 Corvette Stingray that was a gift from dad. Hes no longer here, but the Stingray reminds me of him every single day. I know it inside and out so Im very picky about who Ill let work on it or keep it at their shop. Jeff and his guys are very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The took incredible care of my car and they kept me very informed of the process each step of the way. The price was reasonable and it was exactly as quoted - not a penny more. No up-sell. Very happy with the service I received. I took my truck in for a service interval transmission fluid flush and filter replacement. The service was provided as expected and with competitive pricing.. Three areas I felt were deserving of a high rating are:1. Communication: texting statuses kept me aware of the progress of the services being performed on my vehicle and let me know when it was ready for pick up.2. No obligation inspection of my vehicle and no hassle or sales pressure for the additional issues found3. Providing detailed information and pictures (where applicable) of issues found.I will definitely use Eagle Transmission & Automotive again should my vehicle servicing.

I called a day ahead to ask if I was able to bring my car in the next morning, Austin told me they are backed up 2 days but hell make sure my car is ready. They communicate by text throughout the day and my car was ready a few hours ahead of the time they gave me. They offered me a ride if I needed to get anywhere. Courteous, respectful, nice. 100% recommended.

The service is probably fine, their ability to plan and communicate is somewhat lacking. I took my Jaguar to them for a standard transmission filter and fluid change. Because the fluid is a Jaguar special part, we scheduled the work for several days later.On the scheduled date, I brought the car in and since they had advised it was only a two hour job, I elected to wait. They disassembled as required but then everything stopped. When I queried, I was told that they were waiting on the Jaguar fluid but that it should be there “Any minute”.At this point I decided to get a ride home, and it’s a good thing I did. They finally finished the two hour job over six hours later.If they had simply told me, any time before disassembly that they didn’t have the fluid, I would have just rescheduled. No big deal. Instead, it caused inconvenience for both my wife and myself.I can’t really recommend this organization.

They made a very difficult situation as stress free as they possibly could.Jeff Klima, the owner, is a honest, stand up guy. As a new customer, he personally talked to me and talked to me about everything that needed to be done, explained the costs(which were more than reasonable), and the plan for the repairs. I have been using Eagle for 2 years now and they always offer the BEST service and experienced advice. I am young female so it be a challenge to trust and find an honest mechanic, but the guys at eagle always make me feel comfortable and answer any questions I may have.

Note to self: Before taking the car in ask how much a diagnosis costs. I had a loud hum coming from the drivetrain and wanted to see if it was a problem. They could not hear the hum and suggested to not take any action at the time but I did agree to a $175 differential fluid change as preventative maintenance.Over 24 hours later the fluid change wasn’t done and I was charged $120 for the diagnosis. I should have asked how much a diagnosis cost before hand. I opted not to do the fluid change at this time.UPDATE: To their credit they offered to performed the preventative maintenance at no cost. That was pretty cool.

Blasted sensor! Transmission fluid temperature sensor. Thankfully replaced, since there was nothing wrong with what the sensor was supposed to sense. Paul (and his team) were great...again...I would recommend 100%!

Taken my vehicle here before. Was happy with the service. So I used them again when I had issues with the fuse blowing when I used the a/c. I replace the clutch assembly and issue was still present. Took it to eagle specifically for that issue. When I got the results and estimate. An “up sale “ tactic was used. Said that I needed rear brakes and rotors. I usually do my own maintenance. I know by the fact that I regularly rotate my tires, that the brake pads and rotors were in good shape. As I have been the one who most always does the work. Limited to what I have tools for.It’s not that they don’t do good work. They do. It’s that the Con of the “Up Sale” is just plain rude and unprofessional! Especially when it is NOT required. The pads are about at half life. The rotors were replaced with new at the las brake pad change.It makes me wonder how many other people fall for that bs. I did not ask for anything else to be inspected. Nor was I told that that would be done. Integrity is mandatory!My trade is A&P. Airframe and power plant mechanic. If a company has integrity, I will let everyone know. If it does not. I will let all know that as well. I don’t know if it is the company policy to up-sale erroneous malfunction just to generate profits, or was it just that particular mechanic that went “unchecked “ or “ unsupervised. Money is not easy to come by. This shop is far from the only game in town. Be cautious consumers! This place attempted to charge me for survive that was both up wanted, and unnecessary.I have pictures of both the old and new pads if anyone is interested.

On a trip to Galveston, my husband and I noticed that the car was acting up so we looked up the closest auto body, and this is were the GPS took us. They came out and looked at our car right away. It wasnt long before we got a new battery and were on our way. I dont remember the name of the guy who helped us, but he was very nice and seemed like an honest person.

Came in with a 6.2 Silverado wanted a built transmission the transmission came out great held up just how it should not problems gave me updates on the job my favorite part and got it done in a couple of days

What can I say? I got there late in the day and they found a way to fit me in. Didn’t even blink at a job other shops said required a special tool and rare part. Couldn’t be happier and will definitely go back!

I had gone to a different servicing business for an oil change and was told I needed brakes and CV replacement. On a hunch, I went to Eagle and had them look at my car. Not only did I not need brakes or CV work - they discovered a different problem that needed immediate attention that was overlooked by the previous business. Eagle was honest about the work to be done and kept me informed of the progress while it was being done. Thank you for your prompt and professional work in my vehicle!

They gave me honest quote on transmission job and were very knowledgeable and customer friendly. Even when I called back by accident because I was trying to call another shop for another quote. Eagle transmission was like hey u just called us. I apologized and he was like no problem. We r ready to fix your transmission whenever you bring it to us. Was all he said. No trash talked or anything negative. Onto my service. They let me know max amount it would be if i had to get a full transmission rebuild. I figured it would be full rebuild due to gears slipping and another issue. They got my expedition in there fast and was able to diagnose issue super fast. Before they did rebuild they told me about some cheaper options I could take. They did not pressure me to go for most expensive option which was full rebuild. I got the full rebuild with heavy duty parts and 3yr warranty on it. My expedition runs and shifts way better than before and feels like it has lil extra power. I would definitely recommend this place. They did great work and stand behind their work

So glad I found this place! I was having trouble with my transmission and took it to a small shop by my house and they told me I needed a new transmission after 10 mins of diagnostics. Felt like I needed a second opinion, and after reading reviews on Eagle thought I would try it out. Blown away that the guys are professional and honest! Turns out I just needed a service, the cap was loose, and I needed transmission fluid! Working like a charm now! I will be back to the location for all my automotive needs! Thanks Guys!

If I could give zero stars I would. We own an older Tahoe that was symptomatic for what my husband who is not a mechanic thought was the transmission since it wouldnt change gears he is NOT a mechanic but insisted we probably would need to replace it. Called eagle transmission and understandably so we had to bring in to diagnose. After they test drove it they said they did not believe it was the transmission. They thought there were other issues that he almost was positive would fix the no acceleration issue. The tech assured us that if we took care of those issues the truck would be up and running. So we agreed. This would cost us almost 1500 dollars. So about 2 weeks later they called and told us our Tahoe was ready. We paid and when my husband got on the road the problem was still there, no acceleration.So when we called to ask why, we were told that they thought now it was the transmission. We are hard working people who just wanted an honest answer. 1500 dollars could have gone towards a transmission replacement. Please stay away if its a transmission issue. They are supposed to be professionals and couldnt diagnose with the symptoms. I shouldve listened to my husband to begin with.

Overall, the quality of work seems to be a 10/10. I had a clutch replaced on a Ford Focus ST and it feels better than when I bought the vehicle! On top of that, the advisors and technicians are incredibly polite and personable however, and go extra lengths to know who you are.

Completely over priced for a simple window motor repair. They quoted me $1700 for a job that shouldnt cost more than $800. They even charged me $240 just to keep the window in place with two bolts. Its very difficult to find a good mechanic that would try to get one over on you.

I had a great experience with Eagle’s brake work on my car. The price was the best of three places that offered estimates, they were timely and gave me a ride to and from my house. They even saw my car registration sticker on my passenger seat and applied it to my windshield! Excellent workmanship and certainly a place you can trust.

I would not recommend this shop for transmission repair.My Corolla started making grinding noises on acceleration. A transmission shop in Galveston recommended and installed a used transmission. On pickup, it shook terribly, smelled bad, the AC didnt work, and they had stained the interior and left grease everywhere. Coincidently, when I went back, the owner said he was selling the shop. He gave me my money back and now I had to fix everything they broke and hope my transmission was good.I brought it to Eagle Transmission & Automotive for a diagnosis. They looked it over and told me the transmission was fine, but the engine mounts were trashed, and the entire AC system needed to be replaced. I weighed my options and proceeded to have those items repaired. I picked up the vehicle and drove back home to Galveston. The vibration was gone, and the AC worked. On the way home, the Check Engine Light came on. I scanned for codes and got a P0741 code (Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Performance or Stuck Off). I was devastated. Not even 30 minutes after being told the transmission was fine, I have a code for a transmission fault.I bring it back to Eagle Transmission & Automotive. They look it over and tell me the transmission has problems that will ultimately get worse and damage the transmission. Im already out the money for an entire AC system and engine mounts and now the transmission needs to be rebuilt. They sell me on the idea of a transmission rebuild with a 3 year warranty. I think to myself, at least I will have worry-free operation for 3 years, and decide to go that route. I pick up the car. I pay nearly $3,500 to have the transmission rebuilt. As Im driving home, the Check Engine Light comes on again... I scan for codes. Same. Exact. Code. I cant believe it.Over the next YEAR, I bring the car back every couple weeks with the same code. Originally, they had the car for almost 2 months after the initial repair, as I would drive the car home, the code would appear, and I would drive it back for them to look at it. 75% of the time they would answer with We cleared the code and couldnt get it to come back on Half the time, before getting home the code would come back for me. To their credit, they replaced the Transmission Control Unit, Torque Converter and various solenoids during a few of the attempted repairs. (Maybe 3 of 10 visits, things were actually attempted).I go back tomorrow to pick up the car, again, with no result. They cleared the code and couldnt get it to come back, so I get to hope it has magically fixed itself. They said this time, to bring it back in a few weeks when they get their new tech. I cant help but feel completely defeated and hopeless. Ive paid thousands of dollars to have a transmission code fixed, but over a year later, Im no better off. I cant help but think the original diagnosis was incorrect. Im not sure this shop has the technical knowledge to truly diagnose complex transmission repairs. Because of this, I cannot recommend them to anyone. Ive spent literal hours driving to and from the shop, carpooling with friends to work, staying late and going in early while they have my vehicle. Having a 3 year warranty is almost useless if the issue cannot be resolved.Ive waited a year to write this review, in hopes the issue got resolved and I could write a happy review. Unfortunately, that is not the case. Ive had Eagle Transmission & Automotive perform other repairs on different cars of mine, with mostly positive results, but for the Transmission in Eagle Transmission & Automotive, I have to say, theyve missed the mark badly.

They replaced my alternator in my old dodge 1500. Everyone that I dealt with was professional. I received text messages of my trucks progress, videos of what needed to be fixed and a video of an item that was ok for now but would need to be fixed in the near future. The inside of my truck was cleaner when I picked it up than when I dropped it off. The cost was very competitive with other shops in the area. Very pleased and plan on returning when needed.

Eagle did a great job changing my oil and felt they were honest in the answers to my other questions I had about another vehicle needing repairs .

I gave this bussiness a 1 star because to me the the owner Jeff Klima is nothing more than a common thief. When I turned in my 2 week notice to leave the company he started deducting money from my check. Then he mailed me my last check for 0 dollars ans 00 cent along with bogus paper work stating I owed him money back. When I worked there I seen where he tampered with another employees paycheck. That man quit. After leaving the company I met another man who stated that Jeff kept his last paycheck stating he owed money back.When I told Jeff that I was going to file with the Labor Board, post on his web site, then sue him in civil court...He sent me. A text that he would slander me and destroy me and my family....this...a man who braggs about how much he does for the community.Well...I filed with the labor board, made this post, and next is to file in civil court.Thanks to everyone who the time to read this post.Gene

I’ve worked in shops for years. I know for fact I can put vehicle make and model in AllData with needed repairs and services and it will poop me out a quote for the customer. Annoyed being told that wasn’t possible. And the “we don’t price match” comment. For one, I never asked for a price match I asked for a quote. No worries, J & I Automotive and they gave me a quote over the phone and I had it towed to them and through in a free serpentine belt replacement. “We already had the front off I figured why not.” And my quote over the phone was exactly what I was quoted 24hrs later when I picked it back up.

Most honest place Ive ever been too. They checked my vehicle in a day and took very good care of me. Friends recommended me this place now I highly recommend this place!

Charged $400+ to add 2 quarts of transmission fluid and drop the pan. Will not be using again.

If I ever need more work done to my truck I will always go back here

I like there message system which gave me updates on the progress of the work. Paul and Austin were extremely courteous on the phone and answered all my questions. My only suggestion would be to invest in some paper matts to put down in the cars as they are being worked on. My carpeted floor matts in the front seats were grease stained when I picked the car up and my interior smelled like auto fluids. I spent several hours today scrubbing and cleaning inside to get my car smelling good again. If they added a little TLC to their service it would be greatly appreciate. Thanks Eagle.

What a group. They really are there for you and what a great attitude. I was in a panic about my back door of my van, because I couldnt drop it off for a day. When i got there I wasnt sure whether they had time, But Jeffrey instead said do you have 15 minutes for us to check it out. What a personal touch. Well within 5 minutes they found the problem and fixed. Great customer service!!!!!! I will be bringing my business there all the time and will recommend him whenever I can. They deserve 6 STARS!

I was having some issues with my door locking mechanism. They were able to diagnose the problem quickly, ordered the parts, and fixed it the next day. Super friendly service. And I love the texts that updated me on the status of the job. Great communication. And to top it all off, the price was reasonable and less expensive than I thought it would be. Highly recommend.

These guys are spot on when they inspect a vehicle for issues, i was getting ready to throw money away just to get a leak fixed that was coming from the motor at another place that would have cost me 650.00, now keep in mind the place that i went to first never bothered to check my transmission but Eagle checked everything and I highly appreciate that. I just now have to make up my my minds on what i want to to do regarding my transmission. I recommended to a friend that she bring her car to Eagle after she had been to another shop who told her she would need to go to the dealer. After diagnosing her vehicle, Paul explained that they would be able to do the necessary repairs. Paul was very respectful and friendly, and explained everything in great detail. Although my friend has not completed the repairs yet, due to finances, Eagle offered some payment options without pressure, and they did not charge for the diagnosis. I have a leak on my 2009 Toyota and I plan on bringing it to Eagle next week. Excellent customer service.

Absolutely would highly recommend Eagle Transmission to anyone with Transmission problems. The guys over there got my Old ‘96 12 valve going again and upgraded some much needed parts after I thought that it was a goner. They are extremely professional and honest and will walk you through the problems explaining why and how they fix it. Not a lot of shops like this they definitely set the bar for quality customer care and Automotive repair! I will definitely be using them in the future!

I’ve taken my car to Eagle a few times with several issues, sometimes minor issues (spark plugs), sometimes bigger issues (transmission). Each time I work with Eagle it has been a positive experience, from constant communication on the status of my car (really appreciate getting text message updates) to the follow up after the servicing has been completed. I completely trust that when I take my car to Eagle I will get great service, at a fair price, and the repair will be of the highest quality. These guys were amazing! They are very professional and informative. They are not the kind of shop that is out to steal your money for sure. I went in for a service this afternoon and after a test drive and a look at my vehicle they were able to inform me that a flush was a possible bad idea. They could have easily made a quick buck off of me but instead educated me! I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking for a service.

Paul and his team were fantastic. I had asked for a second opinion about a transmission fluid leak, for which I had received a very pricey estimate from the dealer to fix, and Paul and his team got me right in -- spent an entire day investigating and diagnosing any possible problem. They determined there was NO leak, however, their very thorough techs discovered that the newly installed oil filter (by the dealership) was extremely loose (needed an entire full rotation to tighten) might have been a source of a very small amount of engine oil that they had seen on the underside. WOW-- I dodged a potentially catastrophic incident due to their due diligence. THEY ARE WONDERFUL PEOPLE. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

But times change where you move, have an awesome baby boy, new job, and short of the right tools and time is a precious commodity.With that said, I did my research cringing and found Eagle Transmission with outstanding reviews. What did I learn? Impeccable honest communication, convenient text updates of the status of my Jeep through the day, generous, quick, quality, and going beyond the call or any norm of duty. They showed my worn broken parts, didnt try to sell me high performance parts with my current daddy hood budget, though Id love to upgrade. Shoot... They even washed my ride?! 😊 They also offered their input on some maintenance that they knew Id rather fix that was within my tools and time.I did not expect the magnitude of great service. Great owner and great group of guys working there. They reserved a time for me to bring in my vehicle, told me approximately how long the work would take and the cost for the service.I brought it in at 7:55 am, it was in the shop by 8:00, and they estimated 2 hours for the work and it was completed at 9:30 - 30 minutes less than anticipated for the exact cost. The owner is a man of his word, and his people care about taking care of the customers and doing quality work. I cant recommend this place highly enough - a great experience to deal with honest, hard working people who care about quality and making sure their customers are taken care of.

Great experience overall. Staff is friendly and takes time to answer all concerns and questions. They keep you posted about the repair timetable via text messages, and if you have additional questions someone is always there to talk to you and doesnt rush you off the phone. The shop is bright and clean, the sign was easy to locate from the street, and parking is easy too. They did a great job and did not push additional services. Very kind staff, I would highly recommend Eagle.

These guys deserve five stars! Kurt and Jeff were extremely honest and kind throughout the whole process. They gave me free towing with my major repair and were very patient with me. I didnt know a lot about cars but they explained everything to me very professionally. Very reasonable prices and fast service. Thanks guys!!

Jeff has done a fantastic job with this shop. They are the most honest shop in the industry period. I highly recommend that you bring your vehicle here if you ever think that the transmission could be the issue. They are 100% honest and will tell you the true problem if it isnt the transmission. Most of the time its not the transmission so dont let other shops sell you a transmission that you didnt need, go to Eagle Transmission!!

I had made the drive from WV to TX when my vehicle started making terrible noises. These guys diagnosed the problem, addressed a check engine light that my local shop couldnt figure out, and then checked to make sure I wouldnt encounter a known issue with my Xterra down the road. Not only that, they turned the work around ahead of schedule and did it all at a fair price with friendly service and excellent communication. I cant say enough about these guys! I think everyone dreads the thought of breaking down away from home but with Eagle it just wasnt a problem. Highly recommended!

Today we brought 3 cars to them to have them looked at because me and my wife were looking to get her a new car the first one we brought in he said hed look at if we wanted but recomme buying or wasting the money on it and told us the history of those car and why we shouldnt get one, brought the second one in they did a head to toe inspection on it told us the 3 things that were wrong with it and about how much it cost to do so, we then brought the 3rd one to get checked everything was good with this one because of them we made the best decision because of there advice and couldnt be happier. They were great to us from the moment we walk in till we left great conversations and friendly smiles around. Couldnt remained a better place to go!

Incredibly honest people. I was very impressed by their knowledge, courtesy and professionalism. They did not work on my vehicle because of the situation. Really enjoyed our experience with this company. We have had the same truck at 2 other Eagle locations for the same problem. Jeff and Paul went above and beyond to fix our transmission ( right this time) with no problems at all! I would highly recommended this company to anyone with transmission or any other mechanical problems.

James and Jeff, manager and employee, were very nice and professional. Last week I took my Focus to the shop for a free diagnostic and, possibly, a transmission flush. It turns out that there might be a recall on the parts in problem so they recommended me to Ford dealerships so I wont have to pay anything out of pocket. Truly professional and ethical! I would highly recommend this shop based on my own experience with them.
