Both the doctor and staff are very unprofessional:1. My prescription is incorrect and still look blurry under my new contact lens and glasses. Went back and told the doctor who insist nothing wrong and nothing can be changed. I saw another doctor and confirmed Dr Amys prescription is totally off2. They never pick up phone call and will not call you when your glasses has arrived. When you follow up yourself, they will make up excuse saying I am not on their phone text list. But I did keep receiving promotional text. Apparently, making phone calls to customer is a big deal hassle to them3. The glasses I ordered has peeled off (not sure why)on the lens. Went back to tell them, they ordered a new one for me but they never contact me when it has arrived so I waited two weeks thinking its not ready. They guarantee this new one will not have peel off again. Will see. May be they tried to use cheap material to start with4. Their frames and contact lens are very expensive in view of the poor quality and old fashioned selection. There are many places to order contact lens online. We will never go back again!!

Wonderful experience, start to finish. No pressure anywhere. Only good, consulting advice for you to consider. Great team. I am very pleased and lining up appointments for my wife and kid.

2016 I dropped in for allergic reaction in my eyes. I have insurance and was told it would be billed out as medical. I had previously been in and got my glasses prescription renewed and was arbortrarily given a contact examination and charged an extra 100.00. I never actually received that prescription so was unable to order contacts. So when they sent a bill for 60.00 for the allergic reaction visit, I called and told the receptionist I was just going to call it even since I didnt get my contact prescription. They sent this 60.00 to collections. I called and they agreed to take payment over the phone and remove the collections from my credit. They did not, 5 years later its still there. Ive called they claim theyll take care of it. They wont. The Doctor is great, her business practices and employees are horrible. Run dont walk away. I havent been in her office in 5 years but this still effects me.

I originally picked Dr Amy because she was one of the few optometrists that sees children under 5 that accepted my insurance. My little one and I had a great experience! And even though Ive been wearing glasses and contacts for 25 years, Dr Amy told me things that Ive never been told before. I always appreciate knowing the why behind things, so I appreciated her insight.

I have tried SEVERAL optometrist near me.First one I loved, but no longer on my insurance.Next two were okay, but something or another with each wasnt quite right.Only one visit into Eye Care Avenue, but I feel VERY good about how my initial appointment went with Dr Amy Rasmussen and her entire staff.Glad I found her. I was blown away by the great experience I had at Eye Care Avenue. I arrived early and they got me in immediately with initial testing. Dr. Rasmussen is wonderful. Booking our appointment was so easy, they had openings right away which worked for us. The assistants were friendly and so helpful. Dr. Amy was kind, genuine and was very knowledgeable. We just had a baby so she let us know about the InfantSEE program and the girls in the front even brought over a pamphlet on what our babies vision is actually like at just 2 weeks old. What a wonderful place to get your eyes checked. You will be VERY happy.

I went to Dr. Rasmussen the first time when I moved to Little Elm and needed an eye doctor close to home. She offers Saturday appointments that fit right in with my busy schedule.On my very first visit, she found a serious eye health issue that my other eye doctors missed for years. Within weeks I had surgery and am doing much better.Dr. Rasmussen is always kind and professional. She is a pleasure to see because she is always in a positive mood and cares about her patients. Even the staff is always smiling and, the atmosphere is welcoming. Even if you had to drive a little further, having the right doctor is important and I would recommend her for anyone wanting quality eye care.

Had my first eye exam in 10 years, and found that it was time for glasses! Dr. Amy was so sweet and patient, and the girls up front were amazing. Awesome experience from trying on glasses to picking them up today! Sending my sister their way for her annual exam!

Dr. Amy has been great. She will take as much time as necessary and do everything possible to improve your vision. She has gone out of her way to meet with me several times to make sure that I get the best possible vision. I got glasses and transition contacts, which are like bi-focals but you often have to sacrifice vision quality to use them. I tried several, and I am now wearing a pair that works great. Last time I was there as I was getting my most recent pair, she said something that I will never forget -- she said well, this part is more art. Sometimes you cant just go by the machines. She is so write . . .Oh, her staff is great too! The L ladies -- whose names I always confuse, but who are always so helpful.You really should go here.

Took my 7 yr old for an eye exam, she was very comfortable and the doctor was great at explaining her condition. Girls at the front office were very welcoming and helpful while picking up the frames for my daughter. Will recommend to friends with children. As of now waiting for frames to come in.

We chose this vision center when moved to Frisco. It has a 5 star review from Google and we believe should be a well recognized center. In addition this center is baby certified for kid vision. However the 1st visit turned out to be very disappointed. The front desk lady was the key reason. From the time we walked into the office with our kids, she showed no friendly looks at all. There was no smile for the whole 2 hours when we were there whenever there was a conversation involved.When my husband went with my oldest one inside, I was with my two younger ones. Later when I asked her how long my 1st kid check would last as we have another schedule booked. She was talking to a nurse on the back. The whole time she talked me she never face me directly. As she kept saying the appointment was almost over but my husband was kept asking question inside that was why they were not out yet. She looked at me from the side, and gave the attitude that it was my husband that extended the regular appointment. Later conversation was no any excitement at all. Very cold introduction for everything we asked. The nurse was fine. At lease she shows smiles and welcomes. The doctor is just OK, not very warmly and funny when treating my little one.When we walked out of this office we knew it was a wrong choice. Even the nurse and doctor meet the regular requirements; the front desk staff gave a horrible interface experience to us. Definitely will not go back !

I’ve been seeing optometrists since I was 4 years old, so I have a little bit of experience with them. I can say that Dr. Amy is very good at what she does. She was extremely patient during the test (which is clearer, 1 or 2?) and was happy to let me repeat any that I wanted.I am trying contacts for the first time and our first stab wasn’t exactly what I wanted, so Dr. Amy changed some things around (there had been a miscommunication with the office manager, I believe, on the prescription the first time) and we are trying a different path that seems to be much better and more of what I was looking for. I’m super happy!The person who helped me get the contacts in the first time, Bailey (I think) is super amazing. She has the patience of Job, I swear. She has the biggest smile and could tell when I needed to try alone without her there, which helped me a lot. I can’t say enough good things about her. I believe she’s also the person who helps customers with frame selection.There was one hiccup. I called in between my first and second appointment because I was frustrated that I couldn’t see anything within 20 feet without “readers”. I thought they were just for having a book in my face, which isn’t the case. Just a bit of a misunderstanding, which was my fault for not asking enough questions.When I called, I spoke with the person who had always answered the phone when I called, who told me during our rather tense conversation that she was the office manager. She kept repeating what was in my chart, which I already knew since I was in the office when Dr. Amy talked to me. Over and over again she repeated the same thing, instead of answering the questions I had in a different way - it was obvious that what she was telling me wasn’t getting us anywhere. I finally told her that she could continue to read from her computer and I could continue to become more frustrated, or she could change her tone (there definitely was a tone) and try to answer my questions, which she did. The rest of the conversation wasn’t exactly cordial, but it wasn’t as tense as it was to begin with.I ended up calling 1-800-Contacts to get my questions answered, which came up naturally during my next visit with Dr. Amy. I told her what had happened, which prompted the call and she was very apologetic and told me to call and ask to speak to her anytime I had a question.Really the only reason I’m not giving this practice a 5 star rating is because of the receptionist/office manager.

Horrible staff, mean and gave zero ducks about me as a patient and I will no loger come here again. They lost two patients my wife and I. I was told I would still be seen if I got there by 10:45 as I called to indicate I was running late. I walked in at 10:45 got to the front desk and in the most monotone oh well I don’t care tone i hear it’s now 10:46 you need to reschedule, thanks Christie

Very bad customer service. My glasses took 4 weeks to complete and when I call and ask for updates the answer was they were busy and to call back later. When you look for frames they do not offer help or guidance the receptionist does not even bother walking customers thru the brands and sizes. I do not recommend this place.

If you are looking for a professional and experienced Optometrist look no further than Dr. Amy Rasmussen. Take it from someone who researches medical practices extensively before trusting them with my familys care. We have now been to three separate appointments with Dr. Amy and her staff. I can confidently say the care she and her staff provides is consistently excellent. She never disappoints in the care she provides whether we are going for routine eye exams or to have her treat an eye injury or infection.As I have never worn glasses or contacts as an adult, I finally succumbed to the frustration of not being able to see small things up close... and being an engineer that just doesnt work. Dr. Amy treats the rest of our family and now it was my turn. Going into the appointment I had numerous questions regarding contacts vs glasses. Dr. Amy listened to all of my concerns as well as taking into consideration what my work, social, and sporting activities are. She then proceeded to explain the different options along with the pros and cons of each extensively.During the exam I was very impressed with all the latest technology Dr. Amy uses in her practice. However, what impressed me even more was that even though with all of her technology, her 20+ years of experience in eye care became evident as she tweaked and tuned the prescription at the completion of the exam.Also, as we all know, a medical practice is only as good as their front office and staff, since thats who we deal with immediately as we walk in and the last we deal with before we walk out. Her staff is very professional and very knowledgeable regarding products, pricing, and the best way to leverage insurance coverage to get the best deal.Last, but definitely not least, many thanks to Jenny for her advice and support (and most importantly her patience) as she was teaching me how to insert and remove contacts.Give Dr. Amy and her staff at Eye Care Avenue a try... youll be glad you did!

Dr. Amy gave me and my daughter eye exams. She is great with kids and her staff helped my daughter pick out the right glasses. We were even able to order prescription goggles for sports through her.I will continue to use her for the rest of our vision needs.
