Friendly staff and very easy to schedule an eye exam! Lots of selections of frames as well.

The tech was the only person who ever got the air puff test the first time! Awesome! And I’ve been doing this my whole life. The price for my out of pocket pay wasn’t that bad. The best part was they had my contacts in stock and the glasses were done the same day. I watched a movie across the street and came back and got my glasses. I’m really happy with these guys. I’m sure I want to come back. Thanks much! Great job.

Very friendly and professional staff. I was impressed when I went in, then I met the doctor. He was awesome. He was very kind and helpful and he has a great sense of humor. I will be getting my eye exams done here everytime now. They also had a great selection of glasses and my contacts were shipped the very next day. I was out of contacts so they gave me a trial pair as close as they had to my prescription. Very helpful and I would highly recommend this place.

I had an eye exam and did the 2 glasses deal and I had a great experience! I believe his name was Dr. Huizenga, he was so nice and personable. I picked up my glasses the next day at lunch time. The only complaint is when I picked up my glasses, they felt super strange and almost made me feel nauseous (because I had a much stronger prescription) and the technician didnt help or offer an explanation. I almost didnt want to leave because they made me feel so dizzy. I googled it when I left and found out this is really common and I ended up getting used to them. Other than that, Eyeglass World provided great service.

I feel welcomed when I came here for my eyes exam. Dr. Lynn Huzinga is very patient and caring during my appointment. He answered all of my questions carefully and specifically. Jessica helped me to finalize my order and payment. She’s very nice. I recommend this place.

Klay was so helpful in getting me fitted in one day, checking on possibilities. Also Brad answered the phone and was so helpful as well. We will be going here from now on!

I had an amazing experience with this Eyeglass World! The doctor was phenomenal and showed the most interest in my needs and the exam was thorough! Most accurate prescription Ive received. Ive had bad luck with eye places and this by far, my best experience. They helped me with my out of network coverage, provided a thorough exam, and the staff was friendly. I normally go to the 28th street location but i needed contacts and glasses immediately and Grandville location had sooner opening. I love eyeglass world and have been going to them for years. If you like friendly service that goes up and beyond then i highly recommend! Even helped me pick out the right pair of glasses that fit me best because with covid being a bummer for everyone i went solo, when i normally have family help me pick. I also felt like they take precautions to make everyone feel safe. My eye doctor was very thorough and and made the whole experience pleasant. Sorry 28th st might have to make this my regular store.

I needed to get new glasses I bought online adjusted and my optometrist office needed an appointment for literally everything because of COVID. They were booked weeks out and I called eyeglass world and told me they could take walk-ins. They were super nice over the phone and in person and the technician was able to adjust in less than 5 minutes at no charge to me. Seriously 5 stars now I wish they were in network with my insurance I would switch! Nice job grandville eyeglass world!

Excellent same day service. I had an eye appointment at the VA. The same day I was able to take my prescription to Eyeglass World in Grandville, MI, and receive two pair of glasses for $78 in just an hour. Awesome customer service. Thank you!

I got contacts almost a year a go I couldnt wear and didnt have a good follow up apt. However they made it up to me and have been absolutely wonderful. Theyve been patient, understanding, and very helpful. Thank you so much Kristy and eye glass world team🙂

I only purchased lenses here. No frames nor eye exam. Lenses were expensive as most places are. Not everybody working there knew what they were talking about which Is to be expected. I was surprised a little tho when I spent $350 on lenses, I didnt even get an anti glare lens cleaning cloth. Such a small thing but definitely should come with any anti glare lens purchase.

I love the selection of frames they have, and the turnaround time for ordering glasses is fast. My biggest problem with this store is the prices. By the time my wife and I get our glasses ordered, along with our FREE second pair of glasses, the total is enough to take your breath away. Two different times we went there for glasses we almost walked out without ordering due to the high price. When telling them that we would just go down to Costco and buy our glasses, they suddenly offered a lower price. On one occasion, the price difference was HALF what they were going to originally charge me for a simple pair of sunglasses (single vision). Sorry but that just seems shady to me (no pun intended)! My family and I would buy all of our glasses here if we didnt feel like we were getting taken advantage of by high prices. Their frames are priced well, and at first it seems like you are going to get a pretty good deal. But once they add on the extras, the cost suddenly goes through the roof! The last pair of glasses I bought from them (drill mount) were loose and very wobbly. I showed that to them right away, and they simply tried to press the mounts together tighter, but ultimately the glasses still wobbled and sat crooked on my face. That pair of glasses cost me well over five hundred bucks and I stopped wearing them within a month because they just looked and felt cheap and sloppy. I now buy my glasses elsewhere, which is a shame because Eyeglass World really does have an amazing selection of frames.

Loved my experience here. Everybody was so polite and went above and beyond. My glasses broke on a Friday, but I had not had an eye exam in a few years so my wife tried to find a place that could get me in, took my insurance and could get me glasses the same day. I believe I had Dr. Johnson and she was great! Sara helped make sure I picked glasses that fit correctly and found other options when she thought I might have issues with the first ones I picked. I ultimately stuck with my original choices but I really appreciated her input. They were also very patient with my toddler the whole time.

Great prices and quick production.Having forgotten to pack my glasses for a 2 week trip, I need replacements and fast. They were able to fit me in for an exam right away and had my glasses ready the same day! Thats how you know they know their trade - its done in house. I appreciated the professionalism of the exam too. I recommend this store.

Update: I am changing my rating due solely to the fact that upper management has their ducks in a row. Had a conversation with Adam the Area Manager and the Assistant Manager Travis. They know how to run a business. I will chalk this up to a bad day with associate Amanda. I will be visiting this store when my glasses need replacing in the future.Went into this store recently on a recommendation from a colleague. And I could not be more unimpressed with the service I received. I had my own prescription and was looking for the best deal on progressives, I was told 2 for $158 per your ad. The young lady Amanda that helped me said that because I already have a high end pair that I COULD NOT downgrade although funds were tight for me. I asked her a few times what my cheaper options were and was told that I would not like them and that basically they were no good. Now why would you sell a product to your patrons that are no good? Is she not a professional? I am glad I saw this place for what it really was and was able to go to Costco and get what I needed for the price I could afford. I think some training for her would be beneficial to future patrons of your establishment.

I made an appointment online last night after hours and got in at 930am today. Amanda was awesome!! I needed glasses quick. I was wearing them at 230 pm! 3 hours later. Very impressed with Amanda and the Doctor. Great place!

Josiah and Chloe are the absolute best! There was a problem with the computer system, which caused difficulties, but Josiah and Chloe were able to fix it for me. I truly couldnt have asked for a better eyeglass shopping experience. The prices and selection are great, but the real reason I choose this location is the friendly associates.

I got my most recent pair of glasses here. Very helpful staff and lots of choices for frames. Very good prices too. I would start here if you are shopping around for glasses. I went to a few other eye glass stores in the area and this place had the best prices.

I would have chose zero stars, but not an option. We purchased 4 pairs of glasses, 2 pair of regular wear and 2 pair of sunglasses. Over $800. I have a pair of the sunglasses checked by my regular optometrist, the prescription was only in the sides of the lenses and nothing in the center. We took them back 3 times and they kept saying you just have to get used to them. Another pair they wouldnt cover the scratches.No savings, just a headache and lost money !!!

Very friendly when you visit. Getting your sunglasses is a completely different situation. My mom ordered 2 pairs of sunglasses which she was told would be promptly sent to her. After a week of waiting she called in to be notified they were set aside for some reason but they would be overnighted. She did receive two pairs of glasses in the mail but they were not the ones she picked out. It’s a shame as we were optimistic when treated kindly at the store.

A year later and I am still impressed with the customer service at this location! Thank you Klay Fennema for the most professional and nicest customer service. You definitely went above and beyond what any other eyeglass company has attempted to do. I received my contacts sooner than expected. Thank you and keep up the great work! 🙌🏼

I visited Eyeglass World for the first time a couple weeks ago. Nervous because I am brand new to glasses and have only ever worn readers. I called to set the appointment, not knowing what my Insurance was. Klay, who answered, took the time to make me feel at ease about my upcoming visit and even found my Insurance while on the phone when I had no idea what it was. When I came In, Klay worked with me on finding a style that worked for me, and looked good. He went above and beyond to calm my nerves, and educated me on how progressives work, etc. He really made the entire experience pleasant and I will most certainly be coming back, and recommending my friends!This place is top notch professional!

I saw Dr. White when she was at the 28th street location. She moved to Grandville and I followed her there. The staff at this location are amazing too. Always attentive and willing to go the extra mile!

My wife went in to get a contact lens exam. Let me tell you of how it wasnt a pleasant experience based on everything she told me and everything I observed. We arrived 10 minutes early to the appointment, filled out the paperwork, and were finally seen 15 minutes after the appointment should have started. The doctor was nice, and after the exam directed her to go and try on a pair of trial lenses and to come back so she could check them. Cool, but as soon as she was trying them on, the doctor took in another patient so had to wait another 15 minutes in order to get seen again. That is when the hard sales tactics started. If you get a years worth, youll save this much...no thank you...well if you do 3 months you can get this...no thank you....did you know if you buy a whole years supply you can also get 50% off a pair of glasses...I just want the contacts thank you... she then tried on a pair of contacts that were advertised for a certain price only to find out that it was an old promotion (even though the poster was still hanging for it), so she decided to go with the ones she always had which prompted the salesman to ask her if she really did want to go for the cheaper brand. He then quoted a price for a box, and she said since we are members of Costco, that she can get a box for $15 less, so she will just get it from there. He questioned the price. How long ago did you buy those contacts? Are you sure that is the price? They even went on Costcos website to try and see. I finally had enough and went out to smoke, and when she finally emerged I asked her if she got her prescription, she was so upset that they would not give it to her, and that they kept trying to sell her something when all she wanted was her prescription. So I went in and got it for her, I pretty much had to demand it, after of course having to wait for it. She later described the experience as walking into a used sleazy car dealership. We have the prescription, and after an hour of twenty minutes spent in there, never going back and if you want to be hassled to buy things you dont need and belittled when you stand your ground, well come on in here.

My glasses had broke and I need replacements ASAP. Made an appointment at Eye Glass World due to their advertised prices. Had my eyes exam and then went to pick out my 2 pairs of glasses and the price went from 200.00 for glasses to over 500.00. I did upgrade the frames by 20.00 dollars, but then the lens were more expensive to get the special bi focal was more expensive, any coding I wanted was more expensive, to get sunglasses was more expensive due to polarizing the lens...etc. I had to go with a frame I was not completely happy with, cheaper lens, no protection and could not even get a pair of sunglasses to get the price down to 300.00. I will not be recommending Eye Glass World to anyone and will never do business with them again.

I just returned from an eye exam at this location and it was not a pleasant experience whatsoever. I made the appointment online a few days in advance, and received no less than seven follow-up calls about it: first to cancel it because the doctor was going to be out, then to tell me that it wasnt canceled after all, then several to confirm it, another one to move it from 4:30 to 4:00 and another to move it from 4:00 to 3:45. Once I was actually there, I informed the staff that I only wanted to get an exam today because I didnt have a lot of time to make purchases. I explained that I would consider returning to purchase both glasses and contacts, but that I didnt have the time that day. The man who was assisting me insisted that I sit down and look at what my insurance would cover for contacts. I asked to simply see the sheet he had in hand which explained my coverage, and he responded No, this is just for us. He then insisted again that I sit down and talk about it, saying It only takes two minutes. I responded by saying, again, that I didnt have the time today. He went on to insist, forcefully, TWO MORE TIMES saying It only takes two minutes. All this as I was actually walking out the door. I had been dropped off and had to wait for my ride, but I was so uncomfortable with the high pressure sales tactics inside that I chose to wait in the parking lot. I absolutely will not ever be returning for an exam or purchase of any kind. I think his behavior was despicable and a less assertive person than I might be made to believe they had no choice but to sit down and do as he said. That is a shame, and is not the way patients should be treated anywhere.

I received quality care and wonderful customer services. My rating is based on the choices they have for people that are on lower payment platform. I dispise plastic frames, but because of the budget I was on I was forced to choose them. I DISPISE THEM. I DO NOT like my glasses or how I look in them. I feel frumpy, old and ugly. I wish this establishment would be better served to have a wider variety of frames for those of us on a tighter budget. I have felt terrible about my choice for a year now. Looking for a new place to go with a wider variety for the those of us that have needs and dont have unlimited finacfina abilities.

They lost my eye prescription from last year. Thankfully I request a paper copy when I get my exams done.Strange, inconsistent Covid rules. Go to the other location.

Honestly didn’t have the best experience. Got there 15 mins before my appointment like I was told to do so. Had some issues with insurance and they said I missed my appointment. Kinda ridiculous considering I was there on time. Then they said I should just wait around till someone doesn’t show up. Like that is what made it even worse was that they expected me to just wait there all afternoon till someone doesn’t come. Then when they were talking to my mother about insurance they kept saying how I was a “walk in” which I was not. It was unacceptable to have to wait 3 HOURS to do a less than 15 min exam and then pick out my frames and order my new lenses. Won’t be coming back again.

Just got my new pair of glasses from here today. I actually went in with my own frame that I purchased from somewhere else because Eyeglass World doesn’t carry this brand that I want. Eyeglss world was actually recommended by my coworker who I told that I need a new pair of glasses right away today cause my old one broke. I was told by her that Eyeglass offer one hr glasses ready service. So I went in and did a walk in appointment for my eye exam. Klay, who helped me to check in and did my pre-screening was okay, however, to me, he is a little impatient and seemed to have rushed through. Also he was a little chatty and left me several times there and went on to chat with his coworkers. However, the positive part is that Dr White is very nice and friendly. She was very efficient throughout the exam process and seemed to know what she’s doing. Overall I received what I need and got my glasses in less than an hour. This place is not bad, i will definitely come back next time.

Best place in town to get quality eye-wear and phenomenal service! Travis, Dr. Risko and Klay were an awesome group of guys who really took care of me and got me into glasses that I love. I will recommend this establishment to anyone who needs great glasses, great prices and an experience that over shadows any optical shop in town. if I could give more than 5 stars I would, Google needs to take care of that.

Eye Exam was fine, however they are not upfront with you if they do take your insurance plan. Cost me more than it should have.

I was assisted by Amanda and Josiah who fit me in on a Saturday morning. No appointment, no big deal. Amanda gave me several frame options in a variety of prices. Though I never stated the price range I needed, I knew what it was and they encouraged me to make the decision that was best for me. Will visit again.

One of the opticians working at this location is rude and presumptive. When my friend was considering whether or not he could afford the glasses he had chosen with the add-ons recommended, the optician said pointedly, you can swing that, cant you?Its really not cool to make those kind of remarks to customers when you do not know their circumstances or financial situation. It put a bad taste in our mouths and we would not recommend coming to this location.

I brought in a script from another business. Eyeglass World was awesome, they made a new set of glasses when the script I had brought in was wrong. No charge!

I always get the run around here, with all of the up selling. Quoted different prices on the same box of contacts. Called to get my prescription, and was told they were unable to give me my information over the phone, due to Hippa. I looked it up, and that is false. I registered a formal complaint with the FTC. I will never use them again, and will tell everyone i know the same.

I love the eye doctor very personable and nice, there was also another man that was pleasant but after that it went haywire. The one rude unpleasant lady was rushing the woman that was helping me to pick my contacts out so then that made her rush with my appointment. Beginning was great end was not so great. If I could do two star scales I would of given a - star for the last part of my visit.😞
