Very disappointed, I came in today to look for frames and instantly I felt like i was being profiled. I asked the salesman if he could look up my insurance to see what and if it covered what I was looking for. Without a second going by he began to tell me no your insurance does not cover much or what you think. So I asked him {Mike} if he would at least look it up for me,he said sure.He pulled up my information and didnt even look through it to see.I came back to this location in hopes i would have a different experience than last.I have been with my company for 20 years and know exactly what my insurance covers.The last time this happen the young lady had to apologize for the insult.I am more than welcome to take my business elsewhere but as a company you should not judge a book before you take the time to read it.And always remember there is no business without your customers.Every customer counts and should be treated as if they are appreciated. As a business a customers experience is the most important part to opening your doors each day.
Mike and his team were awesome! I went in and got a new pair of glasses the same day(Literally within an hour)! The whole team was extremely nice and while I waited they even helped fix the sizing on my dads sunglasses that he left to me. I highly recommend their store if you need any kind of glasses. They make sure everything fits properly and work to get you the most affordable price.
I was promptly greeted by Mike when I entered the store to purchase glasses. He was extremely friendly, professional and helpful. He constantly checked on me and made suggestions while I was making my decision. Despite the fact the store was under construction and the selection was not as vast as it usually is, I was still able to find a pair of frames that I liked. Mike even assisted when there were problems (system was off-line) when paying. In addition, the young lady who did my fitting was very friendly and professional as well but I did not get her name.

Ordered my glasses this past Saturday and was excited because I was told they would be ready in two hours. The lady that helped me seemed totally disinterested in helping and gave 0 information on the types of lenses that were available. When we were told the price, she said it was 700 dollars after insurance - and we were given no price sheet to see how the price was being broken down. Disregarding the slimy sales tactics...I now have been waiting for 4 days and was just told its going to be another 4 because they only have ONE of my lenses. Definitely going to get a generic response back from them but this was a terrible experience and am considering getting my money back.

I went into this particular store, where I have always gotten my glasses since Ive lived in Greensboro. Never had a problem before with friendly and attentive staff. I need new frames and lenses. I had questions, and waited for someone on the floor to help me for over 20 minutes when there was 2-3 staff around. The one interaction I had was with a woman who handed me a tray and rudely told me I touch something it goes in the tray. Not even a Ill assist you after I finish with this client or how can I help you. So I left with no questions answered, no true service. It is disappointing because I stick to stores I know and like. As a result, my next eye glass purchase will be else where.

Best experience I’ve had getting glasses in years. I will definitely be bringing my family back for further purchases. Everyone was very attentive, helpful, listened to what we needed, and Bob the Optician took extra care to get my son’s glasses to fit just right. Five stars!

Broke my prescription glasses while out of state for a wedding. We were in a panic and LensCrafters really came through for us. The Store Manager, Mike Howard, greeted us when we walked through the door and just walked us through the process and had us out the door less than an hour later. Pick up my new glasses tomorrow before noon. That is service excellence!

Broke my Oakley progressive eyeglasses last night and LensCrafters was able to restring the lens back in for free while I grabbed some lunch.
Had made an appt. at Fox Eye Care / Greensboro. Sat in the reception area for 50 min before they finally called me back. Appt at 11, waited for 50min. First Gripe.Second Gripe.Saw the first tech for 5min. Had to then go back to reception room to wait for my turn again for the doctor. Finally went back to see the doctor about 10min later. Spent about 10min with the doctor. And that was it.Went to the contact room to get my contacts after spending 10 min with the doctor. Never saw him again.They were all done. Total of 15 min of work completed.Went to front to pay. Charge was 267.00Last year I paid 218.00Went next door to LensCrafter they quoted me 487.00 for my lenses. I told them I would just get them at CostCo for 180.00.Asked the folks at CostCo how much a eye exam would be through their off site doctor. 80.00Asked the cost of 1 box of contacts at both LensCrafters and CostCo. LensCrafters were 40.00 more per box than CostCo.Will never go back to Fox Eye Care or LensCrafters ever again.

This Lenscrafters has the best staff. Extremely helpful and very skilled. The store honored all safety protocols to keep customers safe during this pandemic. I will definitely give this location my future business!
BUYER BEWARE!! LensCrafters Greensboro (Friendly Center) won’t tell you they are an out-of-network provider for VSP - we had to find out on our own...AFTER being charged $1,800! The whole time we were working with the sales associates (one of them was even the STORE MANAGER, Mike), neither one ever mentioned that we were being charged out-of-network prices. We kept asking, “Is that right? That sounds awfully high.” We both have Progressive lenses and on my husband’s plan, in-network, his lenses would have been, not the $500 we paid, but FREE! What a racket!! Needless to say, we will NEVER give them any more of our business and we will tell everyone we know about their nasty little business practices.
Buying glasses from here was a mistake. I will never recommend anyone to come here. Debbie Dickerson is extremely rude and condescending. There is no need for her attitude. Go anywhere else in Greensboro because you’ll regret coming here as soon as Debbie “greets” you.

I ordered my glasses and only after I paid for my upgrades and asked if I should come back in around a hour was I told that my glasses could take up to a week. I called a day before my week was up and was spoken to rudely now telling me that they take a week and no less, now after a week Im told that my glasses still are not ready and they close during the week while Im still at work.
My wife ordered an optical glasses, they said it will take around 10 days, they called us, we picked up the new glasses, after we took it home we realized there was no ANTI REFLECTION added (as we paid for) so we had to take the glasses back and wait another 10 days now I doubt their work AND TRUST, I DONT RECCOMEND THIS PLACE WHATSOEVER.

Where do I beginning? Bad service and communication from this LensCrafters location. I’ve ordered glasses, in which I was told my frames would ship within 2 weeks. I waited 2 weeks before calling. I was, then, told that my frames haven’t shipped and are on back order. However, no one called to let me know. The next day I go in for a refund, but ended up seeing another pair of frames that were appealing. They told me they would be ready the same day by closing time, but they will text me. The next day has arrived and I call to check. Now, I’m told they’re finishing up my glasses and they should be ready with 30 minutes, but will receive a text when they’re ready. This was at 2pm. I’ve waited til 4:30 before going to the location. What do you know. My glasses were ready and I didn’t receive a text. I will resort back to MyEyeDr in the future.
My person Micheal was very nice and knowledgeable. I was in and out within an hour.
Mike Howard, the associate who assisted me was extremely professional and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for eyewear.
My original order was not done quite right but went in yesterday and Mike straightened it all out and I got the glasses I originally wanted ordered ..he was very helpful !!
The employee who assisted us was outstanding. So professional and helpful. Its been a while since I received this kind of customer service anywhere! I believe his name was Michael and I know he was an optician. And every other employee in the store was polite and helpful also.

Door says they open at 9am. I’m sitting here waiting for your employees to show up. Do not buy insurance on your glasses it’s a rip off and they tell you everything is covered but when you show up they tell you they can’t do anything for you. Will not buy glasses from here anymore. I can get the same Oakley’s from Oakley for less and get them quicker.
Wow, I’m speechless — extremely disappointed. I got here on July 28th for new prescription glasses and was told that it would be here 7-14 days. After 2 WEEKS and a half (8/12/202 or 13th), no calls or anything I called and asked. The lady told me that would arrive mid next week -- if by Tuesday 8/18 it didn’t arrive then I could get a simple made one. Tuesday went by NOTHING!! August 20th THURSDAY I went in for a refund and the Store Marketing Manager checked on the status of my glasses and still, it did NOT SHIP. I was told they don’t ship on the weekend so basically, that’s over a month of waiting. They are quick to take my money but not quick enough to get my glasses on time. I understand with the pandemic going on, but that is NO EXCUSE. All the stores I have ordered online have been on time pandemic or not.
Anor (the Lenscafters associate at the store in Friendly) was amazingggg!!!!!! HE WAS SOOO HELPFUL- and kept a smile on his face the whole time. He was also very informative on the additional features that I can get on my glasses.
Fox Eye Care were quick efficient, professional and thorough. No complaints. Having Lenscrafters next to them for choosing new glasses is so convenient and they have a wide selection for every taste.

The lab manager Brian Powell was very helpful in helping with an issue I had. Very professional with a lot of integrity. I would highly recommend them.
Instead of “about an hour” waiting time, have to wait two weeks for both pairs of sunglasses and clear glasses. Not happy about that as the one-hour deal is why I chose this store.

Unlike most other reviewers Ive seen My family and I have had nothing but positive experiences. The staff at the Lenscrafters as well as the adjoining Fox eye Group is knowledgeable and friendly. The last time I was there getting a new pair of glasses they even went above and beyond for me making a minor adjustment on my old glasses even though there was no warranty on them. I even recommend this place to others

The salesman upgraded my lenses to their featherweight option without asking me if that’s what I wanted he also added on the one year protection plan without asking me if I wanted it. At first I thought I read my insurance benefits wrong when I saw the total charge, but after paying he printed me an itemized receipt where I could see the upcharges that my insurance didn’t fully cover. It was misleading and dishonest, and I’ll be going somewhere else next time I need glasses.
They dont value their current customers. Your just a number. One minute past the cutoff for my appointment to be rescheduled and they cant make an exception. Ill spend my money with someone else. Thanks but no thanks.

Literally have been in the store for 40 min. No one has helped me. I just need to pick up glasses. Like I’ve bought them just need them put in my hand. And I have been made to sit and wait while associates try on countless pairs of glasses with others. Like it would take 10 sec to find my glasses I bought and you told me were ready.
Went in, waited 5 minutes. Got 3 pairs of sunglasses repaired for free. Only 1 was still covered by warranty. The other two was an Oakley and a Prada whose nose pads were broken off. He fixed them all in about 10 minutes and didnt charge me a cent. Thanks!!
When you walk into any establishment you expect to be greeted or, in this case, at least acknowledged. I nor any of the other customers who walked in after me received any type of acknowledgement from any of the staff. There was no hello, how are you?, how can we assist you today? or we will be with you shortly. I understand that the employees were busy tending to other customers but there should at least be some sort of eye contact with customers walking through the door. They truly gave me the impression that I and the other customers who walked in after me were invisible to them. I sat waited for at least 5 to 8 minutes before I finally got up and asked one of the employees what was the wait time for a simple adjustment in which she replied 15 to 20 minutes. I was appalled that they had the audacity to make their customers wait that long and not even give us a heads up about it. Within 15-20 minutes I could be at the Lens Crafters that I usually go to at Four Seasons mall and at least have been spoken to right when I walked in.The Lens Crafters at Friendly shopping center needs a lot of work on their approach to customers, or lack thereof. It was a very disappointing first experience there and I hope that they make an attempt to improve themselves. Perhaps they just need to hire more staff, especially being that this is the holiday season. There is no reason that any customer that walks through your door should feel this way.
I took a BRAND NEW (4, 5 days old) pair of RayBan prescription eyeglasses into this location to get a simple screw tightened on the hinge. The older lady who assisted me fiddled with my glasses for a few minutes and then took them into the back where they were worked on for an additional ~15-20 minutes. Unbeknownst to me, my temples were adjusted with heat (did not request for this to be done), and the screw is completely stripped, now. There are scuff marks ALL over the frames that were not there before and upon returning my glasses, I wish I had not gone in. Unreal.At one point I tried to get the ladies attention to reiterate that I simply wanted a screw tightened and she informed me that my glasses would be out shortly. Never bothered to hear me out, resulting in this mess.
I got my glasses from the four seasons location and I recently went to the friendly center to return my glasses at this location. MIKE the store manager gave me a hard time. For one, I didnt have my lens crafters card because I didnt know you needed it to return a purchase when I ordered my glasses they just looked up my account and I used my ss # etc. Anyway I payed 290 on the lens crafters credit card and 121.00 on my debit card. So as soon as I try to return them there was this lady she was very nice and patient with me. When I talked to MIKE the first thing he says is yeah I heard your situation; I will help you but why are you in a need to return them here; its like thats not helping our sells. I said sir because this lens crafters is very close to my house plus I pass it on my way coming from school. Than he tells me I cant return them without the lens crafters credit card so I had to wait about a week to get it. That wasnt my issue my issue was when I went back with the lens crafters card I didnt have my old debit card because it was a temporary card because my previous one was stolen. So as I try to return it he was like I cant return it because you need the old temporary card and fortunately I didnt throw it away. Than he says Im not saying I dont believe you and made it seem like he didnt want to return them. (Im not sure if its because of the way I was dressed I am a construction worker idk). What I didnt understand was why would you make me go through all of that trouble to get the new lens crafters card for you to say that. So I had to drive home to look for the card, and when I get back there he couldnt help me. I didnt not mind waiting so that definitely gave me the impression that he didnt want to return my glasses. So the lady she help me; she was very nice and she was an African American lady. The only issue was when she did the transaction she put the whole amount back on my lens crafters credit card instead of the 121.00 on my debit card. If MIKE could of helped me and acted like he didnt want to return them than my money would be in the right account. The customer representative who help me on the phone was very nice and told me I would have to get an authorization from MIKE to correct the issue but there is no point when he is unprofessional. I will not be returning back to this Lens crafters and I wish the best to MIKE and his team.
Had new prescription lenses put on a pair of existing frames that I owned already in hopes that it would be cheaper. Still charged well over $300 (with insurance) to have the lenses put in. Eye exam office would not accept my insurance even though it is covered for eye exams at other places. Another $100. Everyone do yourself a favor and dont waste your money. There is nothing that warrants these unreasonable prices other than pure corporate gluttony. Will be going through Zenni Optical online or Warby Parker online for my glasses and lenses.

I had a really bad experience here, never going back unfortunately. I had a problem with defective coating on my lenses, and the manager would not admit the defect. She offered to give me a 50% discount on new lenses as a remedy, which I did not accept. I then asked for a copy of my eye exam prescription which I had done there so I could have the lenses done someplace else, and the manager informed me it was against company policy to give customers their own prescription! I could not believe it! Never going back.
I got a pair of glasses at Lenscrafters in the Friendly Centerin Greensboro that I ended up returning because, with these newglasses, my peripheral vision was distorted.I returned the glasses and got my money back.About a months later I went to a different store to get newglasses. There they told me that my insurance would not pay for the glasses, because I had just gotten glasses with my insurance.They also said that my insurance would pay for new glasses in afew months. I went to Lenscrafters to ask what had happened andonly then they returned the insurance payment for the glassesthat I had returned a months earlier to the insurance.Now I wonder would they have returned the money to theinsurance eventually or would they have kept it, hoping thatneither I or the insurance would notice.
Please, What ever you do, do not do walk in as they explain. The appointment integration rate is about 5 to one. We walked in at 9:30 when they opened and so far they have seen 5 appointment patients. Why do they allow walk ins at this location. Im expecting 11am. They have burned through our Saturday.
Very nice people. Poorly run. Ordered reading glasses and sunglasses. They were to text me in about an hour when completed. Never texted. After four hours called to find out they were done. After I received the glasses they sent me home with them blurry suggesting time to adjust. I discovered they put the distance prescription in the reading glasses. After returning the same day he apologized and said he would get it started right away and it would be an hour. I told him I would be shopping nearby to kill time. I finally called after 1 1/2 hours to discover they were working of special orders and would get to mine in the evening and I would be called. I convinced them to fix them and finally got the glasses. These are the reading prescription and now the right lens is blurry. I will be returning them and giving up.

Horrible experience. I called to make an appointment and offered my insurance information. and I was told it was not needed until I arrived. Arrival, I gave my insurance card to the receptionist that assures me United Healthcare was accepted. she returned my insurance card and 10 minutes later I was called back for an exam. The eye doctor then explained to me that my insurance was not accepted. I advised her that insurance is taken out of my check every week, and she then said that I would have to pay upfront and rudely told me that it didnt exist . As I made my way out to the lobby i then contacted my insurance company who advised me that I was covered. then the receptionist proceeded to tell me that they didnt accept United Healthcare. My time gas and money was not valued buy the horrible customer service bad attitudes and inconsiderate staff. I then proceeded to go next door to be sales section to redeem my warranty on my broken glasses and there were two people working and over 10 people waiting to be helped. I have noticed this time and time again and this will be my last experience with lens crafters. Dont waste your time

I had a fantastic experience at the Lenscrafters at Friendly Center. We worked with Raye. I highly recommend her. We were a complicated customer in that I had my oldest daughter with me who was getting glasses for the first time. I also had my youngest daughters glasses with me needing updated lenses. I only had the name of my insurance provider, without any policy numbers. Raye multi-tasked like a pro. She got my older daughter started looking at frames, and in the meantime quickly identified my insurance coverage. She compared those benefits to my AAA benefit to the in-store promotions and it was easy to identify the best way to process my purchases. She shared in the enthusiasm of my other daughters first set of glasses and patiently helped her pick out the best pair, and got the lab working on them immediately.Because we were going out to dinner, I was planning to pick up both glasses the next day (the replacement lens wouldnt be ready until then anyway). I received a text that the new glasses were ready earlier than promised. By the time we finished dinner and drove back to Lenscrafters it was about 8:10 pm. They close at 8:00 pm. My daughter was disappointed. Just for the heck of it, I knocked on the door. The general manager, Mike, came and unlocked the door. I apologized to him and asked if we could possibly get the glasses even though they were closed. Im sure Mike was ready to go home, but he graciously invited me in and seemed genuinely delighted to get the glasses for us. Thats great customer service.The next day (today), I went back in to get the second pair of glasses. The store was packed. Raye saw me come in, smiled, walked across the store and asked how Eliza like her glasses. I was blown away that she remembered my daughters name based on the volume of people in and out of this store. Lenscrafters is lucky to have someone like her on staff.I will continue to go here for our entire familys glasses needs. I highly recommend Lenscrafters at Friendly Center, and want to thank Raye and Mike for the excellent service.
These people are joke, $300 glasses now in the trash. Oh I got the insurance but the lens was so cheap it scratches all the time.😬😬😬
