Took my daughter here for the first time to have her prescription filled for new glasses. Crystal the receptionist was pleasant and nice. The doctor was nice but a little rushy and somewhat sarcastic. I didnt care for that at all. Besides that, its a nice office and my daughter picked out the frames she like with no problem, she had plenty to choose from. Will be back in 2 wks to pick up her glasses.

Worst experience!! I went 4 times for eye check up.. first two times they didn’t examine it properly !! After that they gave correct prescription.. but again they ended it up with incorrect sizes of lens, for that they took my frame for 1 week and told me to stay with bare eyes for one week !!!! Only thing I liked is,the lady who is a receptionist there...

This place will SCAM you. Tried to charge me for services my insurance covered. Called my insurance to confirm they were trying to scam me for more money. Go literally anywhere elseEDIT: I have no interest in calling to discuss my visit. I believe the overwhelmingly negative reviews on here provide more than enough evidence to show that management is dishonest and broken.Dont try and save face by posting an ingenuine response when there is clearly a larger issue than my experience alone. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and encourage others with similar experiences to do the same.

This is one of the slowest moving places I have been but the staff is friendly.This office however does not understand how the wearing masks to prevent the spread of Covid19 works apparently, as they required clients to change masks IN THEIR RECEPTION AREA!! This allows ample exposure opportunity, if the client were infected theyve now contaminated the area while changing their mask. And the client is exposed to the environment of the reception area when they remove their own mask to replace it with those provided.

The actual exam was great and I cannot complain about their equipment but however the system they currently have for “Covid” is very inconvenient when it comes to arriving to the office. You have to call a number, sometimes multiple times and to let staff know you arrived even though they can clearly see you from the window. I’m completely understanding of policy due to Covid but that doesn’t excuse manners. Due to the limited patients they get are servicing they should be even more attentive to the phones in my opinion especially when people are outside the door.

Honestly, the worst experience Ive had with any office related place. They were rude and inconsiderate. The individual who checked my ability to see and read colors had lack of empathy knowing I am color blind. She responds with, yep, youre color blind.If I could give a zero star review, I would. I went to get an eye exam. I gave my insurance information to them a day before I went to get my eye exam. During the exam they came in to get my insurance card and information again. When I get out of the exam, they wanted to charge me $30. I have had this insurance for sometime and told them that my eye exam did not have a co-pay. I do not know of any Medicare insurance that has one for an eye exam. I had to pay $30 to get my prescription. I live out of town and did not want to go back.Watch out for Carrieann Loper. The eye doctor is ok but the place is general is lucky to get a one rating.

I,too, had a terrible experience with this location. I was measured by an inexperienced technician and when my glasses came in I could not read with them at all. I had to select a smaller frame and it took over 4 weeks to get the corrected glasses. Manager told me there is no way to expedite - even when it was their error. I also asked for a copy of my prescription to go elsewhere for a new pair; when received it was missing the pupilary distance. When asked if they could please provide it, they said the could not. I paid for it with my eye exam in their office and it seems unethical to deny me this information. I asked for the examining eye doctors email to make her aware of the debacle in the retail area and they wouldnt give it to me. They told me Id have to email the general office email and I was skeptical that it would be passed along. I was grateful that MyEyeDr @ Friendly accepted my insurance. The eye doctor was pleasant and knowledgeable but the retail customer service was nonexistent.

I am a first time patient and had my exam a few weeks ago, I have nothing but good things to report! Dr. Schwab was very efficient and explained things very well. Abiane helped me pick out the perfect Calvin Klein glasses. Overall very please with my experience and will be returning again!

Please note that this review is based on never actually receiving a service here because my appointment was cancelled 3 times. My first appointment was made for March 20, during the initial stages of COVID quarantine. This I understood. I rescheduled using their online system. A couple of days before my appointment I received a voicemail saying that the doctor’s schedule had been changed and I would need to reschedule. However, due to some issues I had actually already rescheduled my appointment through their email reminder system. Since I had already rescheduled this wasn’t a huge deal but the fact they still had me down for an appointment was a little off-putting. Finally, I had an eye exam scheduled for today (8/6) in the late morning. I received a call mid afternoon on 8/5 saying “Sorry for the inconvenience, but the doctor’s schedule has changed and she will no longer be at this location. Sorry for the late notice (less than 24 hours). Please call to reschedule.” As a teacher I have to be very selective about scheduling appointments and returning to (virtual) school next week, during COVID, doesn’t give me a lot of wiggle room to have appointments cancelled. This is highly unprofessional and unnerving considering it happened multiple times. I will not be rescheduling.

She was very personable and kind and was an amazing help. She’s even going to have my new frames shipped to a location closer to my home so I don’t have to drive an hour to get them! I never write reviews for anything, but I had such an excellent experience at this location! I have never felt so confident in my care at another doctor’s office. Dr Schwab was kind and professional, and she answered all my questions. She took her time and went over everything with me, which I truly appreciated. Valentina, her technician, was so sweet and went above and beyond her job duties to ensure I get help with my migraines (thanks, lady!) Savannah helped me check out when I found the perfect frames, and could not have been more knowledgeable. Great staff, great service! Keep in mind that they DO get busy—they see walk-ins and it’s the Friendly Center, so don’t expect to be seen in 2 minutes on a busy Saturday. That being said, I had made an appointment, so my wait was very short. I have to give them credit on that, too, because there were at least 10 walk-ins during my time there and everyone was seen in an expedient fashion. Go see these folks! You will not be disappointed!

The front desk staff is completely incompetent and I will be taking my business elsewhere. To get someone on the phone for a brief question literally took me 3 months. They also seem to be unable to send an email. I never write reviews ever and having worked in customer service myself for many years am understanding when it comes to this kind of thing. But they literally make me want to scream. lol.

I came to pick up my glasses that had arrive. I was unable to get there until right before closing. I arrived at 3:57 to the doors locked. Mind you they close at 4 and on Saturdays. Now yes this was three minutes before closing however I know how businesses work. And you do not lock your doors until you are closed. I knocked on the door and had the ladies in there just staring at me. One lady who was very rude walked out to leave and informed me they had shut down their systems for the day. Please tell me why you would shut down your systems for the day when you don’t close for another three minutes. This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. When I go back Monday to pick up my glasses it will be the last time I ever visit this establishment.

First of all, COVID has made everything more difficult I get it. Schedules, service, etc. I made an appointment with the Friendly MyEyeDr a month out. I need new glasses and contacts. I get a message the day before the appointment after waiting a month, saying the Doctors schedule has to be rearranged and the appointment must be rescheduled. Ok fine, let me see another doctor in place of the one I was supposed to see. Well, there are now no other appointments available with any doctors for another month. Incredibly disappointing, rude, and downright unprofessional. There wasnt even an apology from the receptionist. Again, I get it with Covid that schedule change. Maybe it was a family issue. At least offer another doctor in place of YOUR scheduling problem. I never write reviews. But the 2.5 google rating is well deserved. I wish I could give them negative stars. Never again.

Worst eye care service I’ve ever had. I bought my my first pair of progressive lenses at my eye doctor. They made my sick. I thought it took some getting used to. After a couple weeks I took them back in, to find out that they were made wrong. No big deal they’ll make new ones. They called and said the new ones were in, I work out of state so getting there was a chore. So, I get there and they are kind of snooty with me because I showed up to get my lenses. Even asked if I had called. I said YOU called ME. After waiting a long time I said forget it and left. One if the ladies came bursting out the door flipping a bag at me saying here thy are ( not in a nice way). So, I go back in while they install my lenses.Now, I leave happy in the fact that I can see without getting sick, but the lenses are made goofy. Lots of sharp corners, not rounded, but again I work out of state and have to go. At my earliest chance I take em back again. They lady agreed that they were made wrong, again and ordered new ones, again.Well, today I called to see if they are in (I called two weeks ago as well). It’s been over a month and I’m told that someone will call me. Long story short, go somewhere else. They don’t care if you get what you need of what you pay for.

It took 2 weeks for my glasses to come in. When I tried them on, I couldn’t read with them...at all. The technician said the prescription was filled correctly and asked that I try the glasses out to get used to them. I told her NO, I can’t read with them at all. So she checked more carefully and found that the lenses were misaligned vertically by almost a centimeter, and they would have to redo it. It’s over a week and a half later and I still don’t have my new prescription, which I really need. I understand mistakes happen, but when they do, they should expedite the corrected order. They told me it “shipped” over a day ago from a place just a few miles away, but that it might not be in for pickup for several more days! It will be almost a month of waiting by then. I could walk to where they were made and back 10 times before then. This is absolutely the worst experience I have had in over 35 years of wearing glasses.

I always have such a great experience when I come here. The staff is so friendly and professional. I’m such a picky person but the staff took their time with me to make sure I got what I wanted and I appreciate that very much. I also bring my kids here and the staff is very patient. They have great eye wear at very great prices.

My daughter and I had a nice exam experience at first. The doctor was very friendly and helpful. There is a nice selection of frames both name brand and non- name brand. However, my experience changed after my daughter had an accident in gym class. I went to the facility to get a replacement frame. Everything was under warranty so that wasnt the case. I didnt know it was going to take 1 month the receive her replacement frame. I called after waiting 2 weeks of requesting replacement frames. I was informed that the glasses were pending and that I will receive a call. No one returned my call. Today, I called twice after waiting another 2 weeks. Needless to say, I was told the same thing. Thanks to Brittany, she spoke to someone and my daughters frame were finally replaced. After this experience, I wont return for any future eye exams or frames.

Not a very pleasant place to go (Friendly location), the techs are very confused, she was unsure of how to answer my questions about my contacts, just looked confused and did not go ask anybody. Was on a trial pair of contacts and was given the incorrect strength, even after going back again, I was given my old strength not the new I was supposed to be trialing. Ordered glasses also, about 3 weeks went by I called to see if my glasses had arrived, I was told yes they are here oh and they have been here for 10 days!! REALLY, no phone call no nothing..Very disorganized, need better management, where is the professionalism in this place.. please watch what you pay, they overcharge beyond insurance too (I have been doing insurance billing for 15 years),A refund is my next response to them, I will take my business and my money somewhere else.

I would give zero stars if I could. I have been waiting for my sunglasses to come in the mail since mid March. Reached out to customer service several times with no clear response on where they are. On the receipt they were promised for the beginning of April. I was promised by their customer service line that they would be shipped out in April (did not ship) then in the beginning of May. (did not ship) Needless to say, I still do not have my sunglasses that I paid for in mid March. Think twice before visiting this location!

I called 2 weeks ahead to schedule an appointment, for an eye exam, I clearly ask if it was a complete exam which included pupil distance. I was told that it did. When I was taken back for my exam I also confirmed this with the technician and Dr. Demarco. I was told that it would be provided before I left.When I sat down with the sales rep Naomi she began pleasantly enough, however, she was just the opposite when I showed no interest in buying a very expensive optical plan. When I ask to get my pupil distance and pay for my eye exam she clearly stated that unless I purchased glasses from there company they would not provide the pupil distance (this is required to get glasses from any source). I tried to explain that I had already been told that it would be provided with out any strings. She stormed away from the desk saying she had to discuss this with the doctor/manager. When she returned much later she insisted I sign a waiver exempting them from any responsibilities from glasses that where faulty if ordered from a source other than there group. She also kept her badge turned so I could not see her name. She eventually gave me her name after I ask several times.I have worked in costumer service and corporate management for over 25 years. It is exceedingly rare that I give someone and absolute negative review, however, in Naomi’s case there was nothing redeemable or positive that I can say about her professionalism or customer service skills.The rest of the staff from receptionist, technician to Dr Demarco where very gracious and professional.Overall this experience was unpleasant and not worth the price of the exam. I strongly discourage anyone from using them.

I try not to review harshly, but this was literally one of the worst experiences Ive ever had with an eye doctor. Ive worn glasses almost all my life, but wanted to try contacts for the first time. I got scheduled wrong for the contact exam twice, so I wasted my time coming to the office and had to come back on short notice. Then, I got told my contacts would arrive at my apartment within seven days. Come to find out, my contact lenses were on back order and the office didnt call me to tell me. I called to ask if I could receive some extra trial pairs while I wait, and the person at the front desk tells me I actually have a pair waiting for me. It was someone elses prescription, we just had the same last name. The woman almost let me walk out with the wrong prescription, but luckily I read the first name before leaving. I waited an additional two weeks to receive my contacts.Finally, I get the contacts and they are fine. However, the woman who checked me out told me I could redeem an offer from Bausch+Lomb that would allow me to receive a $100 rebate on my purchase, making my total $30 for a year supply. The offer expired December 2019 (she told me about the offer in January 2020) and I am not eligible to receive anything back for my purchase. Overall, I am very displeased with this entire process. This office seems very disorganized and I recommend going elsewhere if you can.

**Updated Review**On 8/24/2017 I took 3 of my kids to get eye exams and was planning on purchasing glasses at Costco. I was however so impressed with the technician that I spoke to I actually decided to purchase my sons glasses there. She was great, she spent the extra time to pick out frames that my 10 and 12 year old children would like. We put in the order and was told that it would take about a week to get the glasses back. Well my 12 year old got his in 3 days, which was very impressive. My 10 year old however didnt get his and that was fine because it was still in the week time frame. Well a week and a half goes by, no call, so I call and check on the glasses. I was told that the frame broke when they were putting the lenses in, okay no big deal, they would get the same frame and it would take another week. Well another week and a half comes and goes so I call again and was told the glasses were in, great, my husband had an appointment that Saturday to get his eyes checked so he would take him and pick them up. They show up Saturday, and was told the frame was once again broken. I went up there that following Monday and was told they had sent off for yet another frame and the glasses should be done in you guess it a week. Well this time they were done in a week but the lenses were so heavy the glasses kept sliding down my sons face. I made yet another trip to Friendly to get a refund, that was my initial idea but the technician actually suggested a smaller frame which would cut down on the heaviness and that should solve the problem. Well its now 10/09/2017 my son has yet to receive his glasses., it has been 2 weeks. I have 6 people in my household that wear either/or glasses and contacts and I will be taking my business elsewhere after (If I ever receive them) my sons glasses.I still agree the initial customer service was great, but I am very disappointed that it is now October and my son still does not have his glasses with an updated prescription.I just had three of my childrens eyes checked at this location and I was beyond pleased. They went above and beyond to make sure my kids picked out the right frame. The technician that worked with us was awesome. The only issue I had was the doctor did not come out and discuss the fact that my childrens prescription changed, Ive never had that happen. I actually had to ask the technician if there was a change. Unfortunately I will not be back to have their eyes checked but the customer service I received will definitely bring me back when it comes to purchasing glasses.

I had an appointment over two months ago, and decided to buy a pair of prescription sunglasses through them. The process was rather long, and took a little over an hour. I was told the glasses would be there in 10 business days. After 15 business days, I called only to find out that the frames were discontinued, and I would have to pick out a new pair. I decided I would rather just have my money back, and told the associate that at the time. I was told a manager would approve it, and I should have my check in a couple of days. It has been a month and a half, and I havent received a check or a phone call. I have been to the office twice, and told that their manager wasnt there, but they would leave her a note. I have called 3 times, and have spent a combined 65 minutes on hold, told the phone system is down, and told the manager is not available. So at this point they have taken my money and provided me with nothing in return. If I cant resolve this matter in the next month, I plan to contact the Better Business Bureau.

Ive had two bad experiences here before even coming in for an appointment. The first time the receptionist was so rude over the phone I didnt want to go to this location anymore. The second I made an appointment well in advance and they called me back a week before and said all Saturday appointments are cancelled for the month of December offering no other solutions.

The absolute worst experience ever! 9 sets of lenses and 4 eye exams with 3 different Doctors. They drained my insurance and I still dont have vision out of my right eye. It was a nightmare.I had a trip planned and needed to be able to see because I am a golfer. I went to a different location to see a different Dr. I went to get contacts because I figured that the lab couldnt mess up contacts. The Dr. Just shook his head and said no wonder you cant see. He made calls and said that I needed a free exam and free contacts.When I got back from my trip they gave me another Dr. Who did make a difference. But my eye glasses are still not perfect but I guess they are done with me.Im not looking for monetary compensation. I just want glasses that allow me to see as I am a CDL driver. I cant read street signs or my GPS....because my prescription is wrong and they refuse to make it right.This has been going on for almost a year. No resolution and now the manager at the Friendly Center store has an attitude as if I am the bad guy!Do NOT use this establishment and dont deal with Jamie.Worst buying experience ever! Never ever would I recommend this establishment ever.

Was not an experience i would repeat. Had a first visit and then the follow up appointment . the technician during the first visit was rude and pandering more to the insurance details than what I needed. she was rude. During the follow up visit had to wait 1 hour to see the doctor - why have the farce of an appointment if you cannot stick to the time ? I understand 15 -20 minutes of delay, but an hour? The drs are good ... but given that hardly any time is spent with them its the ancillary staff that leaves the bad taste...

Ive been a patient at this office for several years now. Last year I had decided I probably wouldnt return because the experience was so poor. I was there over 3 1/2 hours (and that was JUST for my exam). Each person I interacted with openly complained and made excuses about the problem, but no one offered a solution. It was chaotic to say the least. That was LAST years experience.Now lets talk about TODAY! Today was a completely different experience. So much so, it felt like a totally different practice. First, I showed up 4 minutes late. I called prior, but had prepared myself to wait again as a result. When I walked in, I was pleasantly greeted by Jaime. She gave me my forms and checked me in. I cant even explain my delight to see the tech patiently waiting for me the moment I finished my paperwork! (No wait!!) He knew exactly what he was doing. There was no confusion about dilating my eyes. He clearly explained everything and got me right over to the exam room. I waited maybe 2-3 minutes and Dr. Virnig entered the room. (He is the doctor Ive seen before... not last year.) Very pleasant guy. He was clear and concise in his examination, explanation, and open to the questions I asked as well.The lady in the eyeglass section was also very nice and helpful. I appreciated her helping me look for the right pair and taking into consideration what I was looking for. She was very informative and polite.Based on todays experience, I will definitely go back. The office has made obvious changes in their staff and their processes and it can be felt at the patient level. Well done, MyEyeDr. Thank you!

My first time going here was great and the staff was nice and professional. Also, when I went to buy contacts they were pretty professional. One of the staff members even sold me on a deal that I would get a mail in rebate so I bought the contacts. Come to find out, when I contacted the company, I wasnt and I told them about it. I was told I would have to wait for them to send me a check from corporate. It been 6 months and every time I talk to them about it I was told I would get the rebate money from them since they messed up. Never did. Ill go to another location in GSO. Hopefully I wont get the run around if the made a mistake. Fifty bucks isnt much but its just the common courtesy to keep a good business going.

I attempted to order my contacts however ran into several issues. they couldnt verify benefits for eyemed said the online portal is slow and the wait time to verify is too long they cant sit and wait although they are in network. I asked them if i printed off benefits could we proceed they said no they would need to verify however they had no solution. I had eyemed call and fax benefits and get everything straight2 weeks later i call to place order and the lady on the phone who doesnt state her name because she doesnt know what shes doing tells me i only have a 15% discount towards contacts. and i only have 200$ balance if the contact is deemed medical necessity. I call eyemed they laughed and said no theyve never heard such and confirmed i have a 200 allowance.Now im placing order online. this has been a hassle

Dr. Painter and her staff were outstanding. They were courteous and have minimized the procedural red-tape Ive had to deal with at other locations to use my military healthcare benefit. They have also minimized the paperwork required to get and keep an appointment which tells me they are in touch with the perspective of the consumer in the healthcare marketplace.When it was all over, there were no slick, high pressure sales tactics designed to up-sell a bunch of features I dont need in my eye glasses. Their entire process and my every encounter with a member of the staff at all levels reflected excellence. They are the kind of people I would work with in any environment, and they have just won my trust when it comes time for my kids to get their next eye exam.

Terrible service. I was 10 min late for my appointment at 12noon. I was almost in front of the clinic when the lady called me and told me they cannot see me anymore because its too late. I said I am here and I drove 20 minutes to get here. And she said oh sorry, do you want me to reschedule you for 3. I said no I cannot take the hour off, is there anyway I can still get checked now. She said, no, sorry and hanged up the phone!

The worst place to get glasses I prefer Walmart over them, the messed up on my size of glasses and then I had to wait over 3 weeks for my sunglasses but wait theres more they said that I would have to pay 100 dollars because THEY messed up the lenses and they said they called us when theyre is no calls in my recents please never go here unless you want a ripoff.

Multiple bad experiences at this location. Today I tried to get my glasses fitted to my face, left them there for 30 minutes to come back and they hadn’t been adjusted at all. The employee working said I can bring them to another location to be adjusted. Won’t ever be going back.

I have been going to MyEyeDr. In Adams Farm for about 5 yrs. I visited this one due to there being no open appointments at my location for months. There was an issue requiring me to be refitted, and they wanted me to pay out of pocket, even though I paid out of pocket originally. I called, but my issue was not reported due to the fact that anyone can answer the phone. When my issue was recorded it took the optomoligist and store manager weeks to communicate and I was never called, and had to call weekly to see if the issue had been resolved. When it was resolved the optomoligist was out of town for three weeks. Terrible customer service skills, lack of good communication with customers and poor follow through.

I was straight up, lied to about my Vision. When I was born, I had a eye vision problem, And still do! Its amazing how nobody realizes somebody LIED to you AFTER SOOO many years at this place! They Lied to me about my vision! and never even spoke a word about my eye problem, and NOW, eye surgery cant help it! after all these years, i could of got that surgery and be happy with my vision, but I cant! it sucks being 80% BLIND in my left eye. I do NOT recommend this to be ANYONES! eye doctor unless they want false lies and fake education! and after knowing the truth about myself. I was hurt after seriously being told that IM NOT BLIND, and my new eye doctor saying IT CANT BE FIXED NOW! Thank you doctors that lied to me. just be happy we cannot sue you for fake knowledge! >:( PEACE! If this isnt my old eye doctors and this place ISNT beside Pizza Hut then im sorry but, bye.

Our former eye doctor sold his practice to these people. We loved Dr Dolan, but do not like these people at all. They messed up our insurance claims, and we spend alot, alot, alot more out of pocket for exams and eyewear. Their selection of frames are very expensive celebrity name brands or cheap, poor quality no name frames that continuously break. Dr Dolan used to have a great selection of good quality frames, with and without celebrity names on them. We never had a problem with them breaking or falling apart. Eye Care Associates carries the cheap poor quality frames to encourage you to buy the expensive celebrity brands. They are all about the money. We will not be back.

Not customer oriented,went there to have my glasses fixed, (of coarse) they were out of warranty by 2 weeks,they didnt even try to put together a deal for me to buy more ! So with them being rude i went to eyemart express and bought a pair,and a pair of prescription sunglasses for a lot lessThanks for opening my eyes to a different eye glass store

After scheduling online they called back a week later and said they had to reschedule because the doctor wasn’t going to be there. Then we were told they couldn’t schedule 3 people from the same family in the same day. Save time and just start somewhere else.
