Very smooth process. I walked in early. The wait was not long. I was in and out in very little time. I am always nervous about eye exams. The staff and doctor were very professional. They kept me informed of everything going on so the stress was gone very quickly. I have been to this location three times in my life. Each time has been a positive experience.
I was having trouble with new contact lenses and really didn’t get to have a check on the initial trials as they exact lenses were not available as trials. Dr Jones was great at figuring out just the right RX with the exact brand and what the issue was. The contact lens fitter was also a pleasure to work with explaining what the next steps would be once I could confirm the new RX would work properly. Always a pleasure at Fox Eye Care Friendly.
The staff was friendly, and the appointment was very efficient. The doctor took time to ask questions and explained the findings from todays test thoroughly. Dr Jones has a fun sense of humor and I highly recommend him!

I truly prefer this place for my exams! The staff was pleasant, the service was excellent, the wait time was great. I was in and out within 30 min. Asia was an angel. She talked me through each process of the first portion of the exam. The Dr was nice and fast but answered all questions.
The experience from start to finish was great. I’m a blinker with the guidance of nurse she was able to get every test the 1st time. Then the Optometrist was absolutely fabulous. The worst appointment for me turned out to be the best.
The whole staff was friendly. There were a lot of patients scheduled around the same time but we moved through fairly quickly. Dr. Jones was so nice and really listened to my concerns. Both the tech that took the pictures of my eyes and the one that helped me with the purchase of my contacts were so helpful and friendly.
Dr Jones is professional, intelligent, congenial, polite and VERY knowledgeable in his field. What more could you ask? His staff is polite and efficient as well.

Awful experience every time we go. Decided it will just never be any better. This time we checked in 20 min early and have been waiting 40 min past scheduled time. Canceled 2 of our 3 appointments because of this. Another patient was taken back first and would have delayed us further if I had not inquired. Receptionist admitted her mistake but advised it would take around an hour for the appointment. That would mean 2 hours waiting in total and that is ridiculous but common here. We will take our business elsewhere despite how much we really like the doctors here.

The visit was well organized, efficient, and streamlined. Very friendly and professional service. The front desk had to call later and explain why my spouses photo wasnt covered by insurance. They took their time to explain it very well and eased my confusion on the matter.

All service was great except for wait time. My appointment was scheduled for 3 pm but I was not seen until 3:35. I didn’t leave until 4:30 that afternoon which seems excessive. I had my one month old with me so keeping my schedule is important. Luckily she didn’t wake up at her normal time. I was also concerned with the amount of appointments scheduled at the same time. There was a large amount of people in the waiting room despite social distancing guidelines.
There is always a problem when we come to this location. One doctor completely got my contact measurements wrong and I kept saying they were not right fitting and the contact fitter finally realized it was way off. Another dr had to redo the whole prescription. Also made an appt and went in for it and they said my appt was not for 2 more weeks. I did not make it for 2 weeks later.
Everything went fine with my eye exam until I was wrongfully led to the fitting room for contacts, when I didnt have to be. My contacts are still the same strength, same size, etc. I was erroneously charged $99 for that when I shouldnt have been. I did not know when I was in the fitting room, that I was going to be assessed an additional charge. I called to speak to a manager today, during business hours but no one answered the phone. I would like to be refunded back my money for the fitting portion!!
There was some confusion with my appointment - they didnt have it in there system. However, they were able to get me in on time even though they had a full schedule. I appreciate the front desk staff for working it out. My doctor and his staff were pleasant and efficient.
The worst experience, don’t waist your time. It’s like I stepped into Germany. If you want to do business with socialists, this office is perfect for you. The manager and front counter receptionists were very rude and didn’t have any consideration for my pre existing conditions. I’ll never go back to Fox Eye Care, but will continue doing business with LensCrafters. LensCrafters do NOT inhibit your freedoms as Americans. Beware even if you are immunized from Covid it doesn’t matter. Face diapers are mandatory at Fox Eye Care.
The visit was good--As always, the staff and doctor were great. Im not sure if my family or I will be coming back, however. The new requirement for retinal photography every visit is not covered by insurance and doesnt appear to be justified for our familys situation (no history of diabetes and we have eyes dilalated for a better exam). Asking families of four to hand over $160 dollars extra a year seems ethically questionable. We would love for you to keep this service optional so we can keep coming back.
Everyone was friendly, professional and worked well as a team. The staff and patients wore their masks properly. I appreciate them letting me wait in my car until it was my turn to be seen.

My actual exam was exceptional as always with Dr. Jones however, my appointment was for 11 a.m. and I was not taken back to be dilated until 12:00. This was unacceptable! After the pre-exam I waited again to see the doctor another 30 minutes. I understand emergencies happen as I have been an emergency at one time but this wait was excessive in my opinion. I trust Dr. Jones and his kind demeanor is awesome but the wait is inexcusable.

Had made an appt. at Fox Eye Care / Greensboro. Sat in the reception area for 50 min before they finally called me back. Appt at 11, waited for 50min. First Gripe.Second Gripe.Saw the first tech for 5min. Had to then go back to reception room to wait for my turn again for the doctor. Finally went back to see the doctor about 10min later. Spent about 10min with the doctor. And that was it.Went to the contact room to get my contacts after spending 10 min with the doctor. Never saw him again.They were all done. Total of 15 min of work completed.Went to front to pay. Charge was 267.00Last year I paid 218.00Went next door to LensCrafter they quoted me 487.00 for my lenses. I told them I would just get them at CostCo for 180.00.Asked the folks at CostCo how much a eye exam would be through their off site doctor. 80.00Asked the cost of 1 box of contacts at both LensCrafters and CostCo. LensCrafters were 40.00 more per box than CostCo.Will never go back to Fox Eye Care or LensCrafters ever again.

The exam was very good. However a 12:20 appointment and I was not seen until 1:00. The waiting room was full and the the receptionist was in my opinion rude when she told me to wait in my car.Asked how behind they were, was told I cant tell you that. Not very good customer service and no acknowledgement by the doctor about the 40 minute late.Customers time is important too.

If I could give them a zero for customer service I would. I arrived for my new patient appointment at 9:59. I walked into the lobby and there was another mother and her daughter waiting there.. the employees apparently don’t show up till close to 10. A woman walked in and said that we had to get out because it was only 959 and she didn’t know why the door was open. When I explained that it was actually one minute before my appointment another gentleman said well it’s 959 I work in a medical office as a provider the new patients are usually expected to be there for people were 15 minutes ahead of time. But to kick people out of an office when your appointment is supposed to start taking Place one minute later shows that they were not prepared. In our office office staff are supposed to be there 15 minutes ahead of our start of our day so that when patients get there they are ready this practice obviously was not. Stay away they are a chain practice connected to LensCrafters. Also they had about 6 patients all arriving at once and in the smallLobby no way they could keep social distancing
Nice people with terrible follow through. I was diagnosed was unstable Keratoconus in both of my eyes early last year and had 2 cross linking surgeries (one in each eye) late in 2020 to stabilize my disease. I was then referred to Fox Eye by the Doctor who did my surgeries because after the surgery your best option is to have hard contacts which they offer at this location. My first appt at Fox was in mid January where I was fit for the hard contacts. I was told it was a fairly quick process to get then taken care of and in. I was drug along for weeks of calling about them until they finally confirmed that the first pair was even ordered at which point there was a 2 week wait for them to come in. They fit but were the wrong prescription. They reordered them that day or at least told me they would. I called to check on them 2.5 weeks later at which point the desk told me that they had not arrived. Then a week later (today) I called back to check and was told they got the file finished last week and would be ordering them today. So, now over two months later I still do not have my first correct pair of contacts. They all seem like very nice people, but communication and follow-up is terrible.
Absolutely the worst in time management. We have a 12 appointment and we are still waiting at 1245…

I did not feel comfortable or safe while waiting for the appointment. There were too many people in the very small waiting area to ensure social distancing. After Id waited 11 minutes I asked how much longer my wait would be because I wanted to wait outside or in my car. This should have been an option given to everyone who came in. There should not have been 6 people waiting in that area for even 5 minutes. Everyone did have on a mask, but people pulled down their masks to fill out the paper work or to talk to someone. Im sorry, but wear a mask means wear a mask. No exceptions. No one working behind the desk asked anyone to adjust their mask or gave them the option to wait elsewhere. My physician wont let anyone in the waiting area at all. Patients call the office from their cars when they arrive to check-in. When its time for them to go to the examining room, the nurse calls them to come into the office. This simple, safe procedure would certainly work for this Fox Eye Care and especially one with such a small waiting area. The eye doctor who examined my eyes was very good and obviously very skilled. I appreciated the information he shared and the time and care he took. I did find his manner often confusing and I was ushered to the check-out desk without a clear understanding of whether he was recommending new lenses in my glasses or not. I had to ask the front desk person and then confirm with the optical store. I give the care from the staff who actually conducted the exam 5 stars. The doctor 3. But because of the office situation when checking in and leaving, I give the overall experience 2 stars. The staff was very nice, but such disregard for health protocols to keep patients safe during a pandemic was frightening. The first priority should be safety for the patients seeking to keep themselves healthy and safe.

Loved Dr. Kelly Z. She was thorough. Kept me informed about the continued stability in my eye I had the retina tear and laser surgery. Caught some early changes in the blood vessels in my other eye as well as the beginning stages of cataracts in both eyes, which I was dismayed to hear, but glad the retina scan was so definitive. I know what I need to keep my vision safe.

The appointment time was not honored
I had a really wonderful experience. Everyone seemed to know what they were doing and gave thorough explanations for everything. This was my first time going to the eye doctor in a long time so I had a lot of questions and they were all answered. :-)
The eye exam was realizing and fun. I a love to smile and joke around. And there was laughter. I felt safe as far as it went for keeping everything clean.
I arrived a few minutes before my appointment and waited about 50 minutes before I was taken back to the room for the first part of the exam. The waiting area was a bit crammed, and not good for COVID. Way too many people in a 10 x 10 space. The exam was fine once I got back there.
I booked an appointment for 5pm. I understand that precautions are taken in order to protect clients and employees. Regardless, I was informed to arrive early in order to fill out the required documents, so I arrived at 4:40. As I waited outside, the documents werent provided to me until 5pm. After this I waited inside until 5:40pm and that is when I was finally taken back. It seems that there was double booking of client appointments in order to maximize efficiency. This is wrong and resulted in my wife and 3 year old son having to wait outside in the car for nearly 2 hours.
Honestly, if I have a choice, I would not give even 1 star. For any person if you are considering going to Fox eye care, please read this post, if you do not have an insurance, they charge you $138!!! So definitely shop around before you choose them, I have been to other stores before, they charge you around $50-$100 if you do not have an insurance, but this is outrageous. I called them around 1-2 months ago about the price, they gave me a price under $100, so thats what i though I was going to pay. Then they raised the price!!!And not to mention that, the lady at the front desk, she has been very rude, when I was so surprised about the price, she spoke to me very rude and impatiently, she said, it is 138! and you need to pay now!I never want to visit them again, and I learned my lesson after spending my ridiculous $138! Why would I pay such high amount, and still need to deal with some very rude front desk people? This is not worth my money, not to mention the service we received.Worst eye exam experience ever, and definitely ask about the price before you do it.And for the updated reply from fox eye care, as every one can tell from this reply persons attitude, it is totally arrogant and rude. Every business will claim they are the best in the industry, but that does not justify why they charge such ridiculous expensive cost before communicating with you, not to say you spend $138 for this kind of rude service. For any kind of service, you want pay to get a satisfying experience, you dont pay someone who makes you upset, and very unhappy about the experience. I’m deducting a star because they have a weird add-on charge to take a picture of my eye. I’d give 2 stars because the receptionist were rude and treated me like a burden. Both coming in and when I asked for my PD. She said, “you would have had to ask the doctor in the back.”So? Was I supposed to go back to the room?I’d give 2 stars because I have my new updated prescription and that job seems done.The doctor was polite and friendly, but not enough to justify how the receptionists made me feel. The exceptionally warm demeanor of the tech is the reasons I’m giving 3 stars.

I had an emergency that required me to return home (. 700 miles away). My bf is an otr driver and I’m with him a lot therefore I don’t drive a lot. After renting a car I realized I couldn’t see very well out of my contacts. I really did not feel safe being out on the road especially at night. I was a walk in patient ( which they were not accepting) but after I explained my problem they were there with open arms. I cannot express how thankful I am to these people. I do not remember names but the entire staff were absolutely wonderful and so caring. They definitely got me through an ordeal.
I’ve always had random eye issues on and off for years and have come here during those “emergency times” as they are open on Saturday’s and my primary eye center is not. I had an eye emergency yesterday and was going to just walk in (forgetting about covid protocols of course lol). Luckily, I called first and spoke with Jamie and explained to her how much pain I was in and the situation. She was able to speak to the optometrist team and fit me in within 30 mins of me calling. Dr. Zwlesdak was great! She explained everything thoroughly, wrote everything down and went over my treatment plan in great detail and was very personable. Also, the young lady (I didn’t catch her name-sorry!) at the front desk who checked me out was awesome too! I left my HSA card at home since I was in a rush to get to the appointment- but she let me know what I needed to do for my insurance to be refunded and charged to my insurance card. I am extremely grateful to this team yesterday and happy I am feeling much better! Thanks again!

I enjoyed the visit with Dr. Fox, he conducted a thorough eye exam, explained the results of the (required) eye photograph, and answered my many questions. With that said, it was disturbing to learn that the Friendly Center location’s restroom has been out of order for 7 months because, as it was explained to me, “LensCrafters will not issue a repair order during Covid;” one cannot help but feel bad for people with mobility issues (such as senior citizens), or young children (who are potty training), who must then find an alternate restroom location. During a pandemic that decision from Lenscrafters seems especially irresponsible, unsafe, and absurd.
They are very friendly and make sure you walk out satisfied!
The eye doctor and nurses were very professional. That being said I did raise my concern with the nurse that not one patient was checked for a temperature. There were too many people checking in the lobby. I was there from Noon until 1:15 and at one point there were 13 people (including front desk staff) in the lobby. A woman was standing right in front of me (there was no where for me to move to) and she had what appeared to be a cold with a deep cough. Please be aware of these situations. At no time should you allow that many people in that room. At no time did any staff ask that woman to take her temperature or was she feeling ok. Your patient and staff were put at risk, when a simple temperature policy and a few questions could help everyone.
Everyone was so pleasant and made me felt welcome. The service l received today was the best, l have experienced in a very long time. God Bless Everyone.

I knew it was going to be a wait because of the new COVID 19 guidelines however she was not seen for 45 from the time of her scheduled appointment. Once she was seen the tech was very patient with all the test that had to be done especially the air puff and dilation because she does not like either and had to attempt it multiple times before getting it done. Dr. Fox was very friendly and my daughter liked that he talked to her throughout the exam.

We were walk ins. We were immediately acknowledged and I was acknowledged by name which is great because I have been a patient there for many years. I have sent many people there for care. The wait time was fair, the service was great, the knowledge of the providers were presented in a professional and easy way to understand. I actually made two purchases I had not plan to purchase ($140) because of the customer service level we received.
The staff was great especially i think her name was Katherine. She was so nice and explained everything in detail for me.
