Purchased home about 7 and half years, have found several look like leak and floor from home being put together is very noticeable and also vent from stove never installed. Also floor feel uneven in spots, with very cheapcarpet installed.

We have lived in our home six years this September. Found water by cabinet by stove this morning. Ran into hallway going to back door. Finally found the leak under garden tub (which I have been wanting to take out). When you purchase homes you cannot see the inner workings. The perfect red hose was to short for what they needed so they “pieced “together several white pieces to it. Totally disgusting. Would not recommend their shoddy plumbing ruins it

So far my experience with Oakwood has not been good at all. After offering me a price for a turn key package on the home I wanted I asked if I could get larger steps at both the front and back doors. They added $2400 to change from 4x4 steps to 6x6 steps. When I asked if they had subtracted the cost of the original 4x4 steps in the turn key package the salesman said that he hadn’t included steps in the price. Obviously A turn key package would have to include steps just to pass inspection. But after threatening to walk away we came to an agreement on the price. I still thought that the price for home was very high but the salesman said the home I was getting was of the highest quality that they offered. Boy was that a lie! They brought the home out and I began looking it over. I found that the shingles were puckered up in many spots and the weren’t nailed on properly. I could see nail heads in many spots. The vents on the roof have gaps under them and have no sealer around them. There is an inch and a half gap between the windows and vinyl installed over the windows. The molding on the kitchen cabinets isn’t fitted together properly. They also got white paint on the walls when painting the molding through out the house and wall paint on the ceiling in some spots. When talking to the salesman about the paint problems he pointed out that the factory left some paint in the home that I could use to fix the problems. Can you believe that! Wow! I could go on about the issues but I’ll stop here. Anyway I’ve been waiting a week for a reply about getting the issues fixed. I called and reported the issues Monday and today is Friday and no one has called me back to tell me anything. They will promise a lot but don’t expect them to stand behind it. They will not supply you with a quality product because they don’t know what quality is based on what I’ve seen so far. Wish I could post pictures up here so you could see for yourself.

Good staff. Lots of choices

I have called several times about a doublewide my son bought. I keep hearing Ill get back with you & NO ONE ever gets back with you. This has been the sorriest service I have ever seen. They were told they didnt have the right parts on the truck so they would come back BUT no one has come back. SORRY CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. The warranty is about up but this is what they are waiting for. DONT BUY FROM HERE..!!!!!!
