My daughter took her car over this morning to have them look at her exhaust system. Car ER told her when she initially called that they may not be able to fix it, but they’d take a look. After hearing nothing from them for most of the day, she called them - they told her they could not fix it (annoying they didn’t call her to tell her that, but whatever). She went over to pick up her car, and the guy says nervously…oh hold on a minute, and makes a call. He hangs up and says…10 minutes, SOMEONE HAD TO TAKE YOUR CAR SOMEWHERE. What?! Apparently they drove a customer home in her car! Then the guy got back and tried to say they were picking it up from a different lot. Stay away!!!

Came in for oil change and tire rotation. Vadim recommended some BG products during oil change. He showed me my old oil and explained what the BG products do. I feel better protected, especially since my vehicle high mileage (122k). During tire rotation, they checked my tire pressure and topped off my fluids. 5 star service! Made recommendations and explained why he made those recommendations but didn’t try to sell me anything I didn’t need. Prices are fair and service is top notch! Will be coming back again

Took my car there for a new steering rack a month ago, and after a week of them having my car, it is returned to me with the steering wheel UPSIDE DOWN. flash forward 2 months later, and my steering rack is once again leaking fluid. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE.

Went there for a quote to just change the clutch and only needed the labor done and 3 days later still no call or qoute just when they told me they was going to call me with qoute later that same day and its been 3 days with no call so they must not want business from me or something, im sure they are great people seemed nice but i dont know because they cant stick to their word of getting me a stinkin qoute, makes me wonder what else they may just drop the ball with also and not end up doing so in my eyes very unprofessional like...

Car ER was personally recommended to us when we were new to town. We are driving relatively old cars that are generally very well maintained. Car ER has helped us diagnose, recommend, and repair smaller issues (e.g. alternator) and larger ones (timing chain, water pump, power steering). They always check first that we are ready to spend when the issues is diagnosed. They often offer options of different price points for the parts, and when possible cheaper short term solutions vs. more expensive longer-term repairs. As a female, Ive always been wary when it comes to auto mechanics. I have been victim of over charging and being treated like a dumb child by other auto shops before. Car ER was the best experience I HAVE EVER HAD at an auto shop!! I was having brake issues (rotors) and received an estimate from another shop that was exorbitant. I emailed Car Er, and within 10 minutes, Reuben responded with an estimate that was beyond reasonable and with appointment times. They were able to get me in the very next day! The after-hour drop off makes things super convenient. Reuben kept me informed of everything that was happening with my car and pricing. Car ER even saved me money because they didnt charge me for new front brake pads because I didnt need them! Car ERs service was excellent. I left feeling like I was in good hands. I will only take my vehicle here from now on!

Car ER does all of the maintenance on my vehicle. Ive consistently been satisfied with their service. They are honest and up-front regarding what your vehicle needs, and the cost of their services. When you walk in, youll be greeted with fresh coffee and cookies. And when you walk out, not only will your car be in tip-top shape again, but youll be comforted in knowing that you werent taken advantage of! Youll even find your carpets vacuumed, free of charge! I should also take a minute to mention that their state inspections are state-of-the-art! After my inspection was complete, I received a text from them detailing their findings - which included a full report, and even pictures of a few problem areas (for example, an actual picture of my air filter, showing that it should be replaced during my next service). These guys are the BEST! Dont waste your time going anywhere else!

This place is seriously great. By far the most trustworthy mechanics in town. Theyre very honest with you, try to make it cheap for the customer, and dont do anything they dont have to. AAMCO told me it would be $1400. Car ER did it for $280! I will admit they took a while to do it, but it was well worth it.Nice guys, do a great job, and very affordable.

He worked hard to figure out the root causes of my vehicles problems (which took a little while, but was totally worth it), and explained them and the best solutions to me. Had a bad sound coming from what I thought was my power steering pump. Called late on a Friday, dropped off the vehicle on Sunday. Monday morning I was contacted and said all I needed was a pressure hose kit. I was given the price of the parts and labor and asked if I wanted to have the work done. My son’s car broke down this morning (a Friday) in HBurg. Called these guys at 9. By the time we got the car to them it was after Noon (again in a Friday!). We needed the car (Jeep) fixed ASAP so my son could get home for a family funeral on Monday. They prioritized my car - diagnosed the problem, got the part and fixed it by 4:30! I’m between I had 2 calls with them to let me know how it was going. Icing on the cake was an extremely reasonable charge for the service. These guys are excellent!!! Can’t say enough good. Go there - it should be your first stop. Honest and reasonable!

Awesome experience! I could not be happier. Everything from the second I walked in the door to when my car was returned to me (vacuumed by the way, thanks guys:) exceeded my expectations. The Car-ER takes out all the nervousness out of going to a car shop. I went there because of the good reviews I read here, and they proved to be true. They quoted me $20 for a computer diagnosis for my car which was beyond reasonable, but then didnt even ring me up when they explained that the fix was unnecessary right now. Brought a Mustang to them to have basic repairs done, came by to check on the status of things the following week, come to find out it was an oil level issue, left came back the following week, looked inside to see my entire dash plus more was taken apart, meanwhile I was told by the owner that my bill was way over $1,000 for things I didnt request or need done, if you take any vehicle to this place please make sure your not taken advantage of like I was, definitely will never return for any reason.

I moved here a year ago and was apprehensive about having to put my car into a new shop, but I was so relieved after my first experience here. I was having issues with my brakes and rather than the technicians at Car ER telling me I needed brand new brakes (which many car shops would have done), they told me if I wanted to replace them they would be happy to do it for me, but I still had about six months of use left on them. They suggested cleaning my brakes well, which they did, and the issue went away for a fraction of the cost of new brakes. I absolutely recommend!

We took my fiances Saab to Midas to have a brake line replaced. Because the brake line runs through the chassis as opposed to running along the bottom of the car Midas quoted us at $760.00, telling us they would have to take out the seats and that it would be very complicated to fix. We decided to get a second opinion and noticed Car ERs great online reviews.. they did not disappoint! Car ER fixed his Saab in 4 hours, explaining how they did it and charging us only $150.00! We were so glad we got a second opinion, we were definitely getting ripped off at Midas. Our business will go to Car ER from now on!

I took my car there for them to check the timing I was 99% sure that was the problemasked the price, they said they would look for free give me a call for the price depending on work needed. Ended up not calling me going through alot of work and gives me a bill saying my ecm was bad. Took it to another shop, it was out of timing. 👎

I am 65 years old and I have been trying to find an auto repair facility since my first automobile at age 17 and unfortunately I have never left one that I didnt have that nagging feeling that I had been taken advantage of. That is until February 6th 2019!....I can honestly say that after taking my vehicle to Car ER, that I finally drove away from a repair facility where I received great service, the necessary repairs were made and at a very reasonable price. The owner Vadim Yavny, his assistant Mark and all of the mechanics seem to truly know how to perform the repairs properly and treat the customers with friendly courteous service. Vadim goes out of his way to explain exactly what was performed and why. Then you receive an invoice that is more than reasonable. My car unfortunately broke down twice within one week (different malfunctions). I took my vehicle to car er both times. Both times was a great experience. The owner Rueben is very professional. Remembered me by name and gave me fair prices. The second breakdown required my car to be towed, which Car ER covered as long as I agreed to get my vehicle fixed there. Great overall experience, will take back is anything else comes up.

They picked the car up at the university and towed it back to their shop (they actually have a great deal on towing – FREE, if the repairs cost more than $150). A gentleman by the name of Vadim came in over the weekend (when they are typically closed) to work on my son’s car to make sure that it was up and running before school on Monday morning. Ive been to a couple places in Harrisonburg and was tired of the awful service I was getting. In comparison I was more than satisfied. Friendly, helpful and professional are indeed cliche, but Car ER undoubtedly deserve the commendation.
