I was traveling on vacation and had a tire failure.Harrisonburg was the closest major area near the incident. I called around to find outrageous prices and no stock. Then I talked to Eddie at Carr tire. He had the matching tire, could squeeze me in AND DID NOT TAKE ADVANTAGE of an out of Towner! I highly recommend this shop.

Hands down best mechanic in Harrisonburg. Been going for years with different cars. They are old school, but well organized and very knowledgeable. Fair prices, fast diagnoses, quality work, and friendliest staff Ive had the pleasure of being serviced by. Highly recommend always.

This is the last car repair and tire shop in downtown Harrisonburg. It is a well run small family business that I have used for several years. Nice people, quick service, all within walking distance from Court Square.

Always the right fix, at the reasonable cost.They even fit you in if your a dorky husband whos forgotten to get car inspected... for awhile !

Excellent service, good prices, and very fast. I have gone to several different mechanics over the years in Harrisonburg, and I am blown away by this shop. I have an older vehicle that needs pretty frequent maintenance and they have done lots of small replacements and even a new clutch.

Absolutely love this family business! I was recommended to then by one of my former co-workers, and I was so lucky to receive this suggestion. They are so fantastic. I go to them regularly for oil changes and I just had some mechanical work done after a minor accident.First of all, the work these people do is quality. Also, their customer service is top-notch.The woman who works at the front desk is so sweet and friendly to talk to. She remembers you as an individual and not just as another customer in a line of customers. All the mechanics treat you with respect, give reasonable time estimates and their price points are completely fair: no surprises. They never rush you through talking about your car and any problems you might be having. This is so nice, especially being a young woman (21 years old) who often feels spoken down to at other car maintenance establishments, especially at my dealerships mechanic. I have no mechanical/car knowledge, but they respect me nonetheless and make me feel like a valued customer at every single meeting. Thank you for your wonderful service Ray Carr!

I had a dead battery.... beyond a charge. They came to the house, changed it, took the old battery away. and came in just a few minutes. Enough trust that they said just come by the shop and pay.Very reasonable charge for service call. Theyre always very nice and try to get you the best deal. They helped with a good rebate in the last tires I got. Im a fan.

Had some time before lunch so I called them to see if they could fit me in for an inspection. They squeeze me in no problem. Ive also been here before for new tires their pricing was fair the folks are quite friendly

This family and staff has always been friendly. They also always provided a great contrast in tires when I wasnt sure of the type or brand I should go for.Overall, this is a great shop to go to. I havent left disappointed with them and theyve provided a good service for me.Definitely recommend.

These folks are always awesome. Reasonably priced and EXCELLENT work. They don’t hit you over the head and kick you financially and milk every possible cent from your wallet when your vehicle needs major work.

Ive been going here so long that Im not sure if my connection to them is predicated by the owner having gone to school with my husband or the shops convenience to our (then) residence in the city, but having said that: this is a family-owned car service center that will treat you fairly and take very good care of you and your vehicle. My only quibble is that they dont have weekend hours, but I appreciate their taking good care of their staff by giving them decent time off.

Excellent service! I have been a few times to this establishment and I am always impressed. They have repaired a broken driver side door that I thought I irreparable. This was done quickly and intelligently and price was very reasonable. At least give them a visit - you may be pleasantly surprised, I know I was.

They fixed my car up perfectly and the mechanics here are so helpful and very transparent about the issues with your car. Best quality service for sure, i went in for a tire change and left with reassurance that my car will work perfectly. They work very quick too

Family owned tire shop! These guys did a great job with ordering tires and doing a front end alignment. Friendly people, clean waiting area with comfortable chairs and a ton of books/magazines plus a little play area for kids.

I have used Ray Carr over the last couple years for everything from a quick plug for a nail hole to all new tires. They have always gone above and beyond on service. They are quick, very honest and do quality work all for a very fair price. They are now my go to place and Id highly recommend them for any tire needs.

Was so pleased with the service at Ray Carr Tires. I tried them out because they were within quick walking distance of my downtown Harrisonburg office - quickly realized they are a great little shop!! They squeezed me in on my lunch break (as a walk-in) and finished in an hour with the inspection; had availability the next day for repairs ( much more than just tires!!) and diagnosed a problem other shops had fixed several times in the last few years. Ray Carr Tires did it right and I noticed the difference right away! Loved the positive vibe from EVERYONE at the office - they love what they do and the employees are well taken care of. So glad I happened to stop in here - Ill be returning.

Had a problem with my cable shifter and called around. They said they could help and offered a tow but from Edom road ? I called Laymans and they came in about 10 minutes. He didnt tow the truck but put it in drive manually and ask where I was taking it. We went to Ray Carr tires .2 miles away. We told Adam what was wrong and left keys and truck, dropped off Monday 8/6/18 around 830 a.m., i called at 1p.m. for status, the lady said we havent got to it yet still have cars from this morning I think they know whats wrong with it. At 5pm I walked down there and seen the employees leaving my truck was still in the same spot as I left it. I walked in the office to get house key nobody said anything about the truck.They call Tuesday 8/7/18 at 10:17 am for quote $275 for cable shifter,i asked why nobody called yesterday just for the quote, we couldnt get to it then just wanting the truck I agree. I went to work and missed theCall back at 4:37 p.m. for a VM that was a brake quote, they close at 5p.m. I missed the call due to work but 23 minutes before close? Really worried I called on 8/8/18 at 7:30 a.m. the brake quote was $345 I didnt agree due to funds. They offered financing and a pay card i had no interest. I picked up truck and left. After paying bills and rent I congratulate the person that can afford all that for parts and labor. I appreciate the safety issue and heads up but not after it was taken out of bay and parked across the street. The person or the mechanic who drove it in the bay felt how bad the brakes were from the beginning. So the call quote for cable shifter shouldve included a hey you need brakes.It was a terrible experience and bad communication. On Monday they couldve said well be busy until Tuesday. Time is money. I called around for a quote at half the price for brakes in a similar location.Some people create their own storms and then get mad when it rains.

It was past closing, he was unable to assist with the issue but was very helpful with trying to get a resolution.

My car just had its State Inspection and Eddie was just simply great, very honest and knowledgeable with regards to imports. He found that my water pump was failing and would pretty much harm even more components if I dont get it repaired and he was right because I have been hearing that noise since last year and couldnt figure out where it was coming from. Thanks to Eddie my Mercedes now runs like new again. I had just switch vehicles with him because its my other cars turn to be State inspected, Land Rover this time, he really is knowledgeable on import cars. HIs wife Colleen runs the office and a chef in her own right. Such a lovely couple. They will now be taking care of the maintenance of both of my vehicles from here on. Honest mechanics are extremely hard to find nowadays, Im so lucky I took my car to this shop and met these folks.

Just got my car back today...ray car tires is the place you need to take your cars for service..NO ONE touches my cars except for ray car tires...the staff is fantabulous....so personal yet professional...they explain what is wrong with your car and then tell you what they did to fix it....i give these people a 5+.
