Everything was good like how a ice cream store, but the customer service was not good at all, we came from Austin to try stretchy Palestinian ice cream, but when I was asking a few questions about the ice he didn’t really want to explain anything to me, anyway kids liked it, not sure if we come back again, will be great if he smiles a little bit more
My family and I could give this business 4 stars on their customers service alone. The staff were very nice and professional. The owner who said his middle name was trouble was very pleasant and playful with everyone. We didnt really get to see the stretchyness of the ice cream, but it was more creamy than most ice cream weve had. We didnt think so at first lol but to us the portion sizes were more than enough once we started eating it.Also Im lactose intolerant, and this ice cream didnt affect me all
Literally life changing. best ice cream around! the consistency is so unique and the flavors are delicious. i bring everyone I know here. place is very very clean, owners and staff are so friendly and helpful. I hope everyone can try booza at least one time in their life.
The place was empty. But it was a drizzly and dark day, so that’s understandable. Inside was clean. Pleasant, except quiet. A little too quiet. No music. Still not enough to deduct stars on this spot. The employee was prompt to greet, yet seemed a little melancholy. “Could just be the grey weather,” I thought. I ordered a cone with two scoops. One of the Turkish chocolate. The other, salted caramel. Do you know how ice cream normally melts quickly so that you’re licking the sides of the cone in a way that makes it impossible to be appropriate? Yeah, this ice cream is so creamy, it doesn’t melt at the same rate. The taste was delightfully smooth, flavored with a depth of ingredients not usually experienced at such a low price point. Overall, great treat!
Tried out Booza a few weeks ago and very glad we did. Were new to Houston and wanted a sweet treat after dinner so I did a quick google search and decided to give this place a try. Seems to be a family owned business which I really appreciated and every person serving the customers was extremely friendly and accommodating, especially with selecting flavors for some of my pick family members. The Booza reminds me a lot of the delicious Booza back home in Lebanon. I definitely recommend and will be returning for sure.
I have wanted to try their ice cream for a while as I drive by everyday. My friend and I got the Rosewater and the Turkish Coffee ice cream respectively. What is disappointing is that it was very gooey, not the stretchy, creamy consistency that one would expect. On top of that, it had very little flavor and it was $14 for two small cups.
Great flavors and true Mediterranean Ice Cream. I recommend the Pistachio and Lemon (gelato). Will be returning as their prices were very reasonable. About $5 for small but it was the perfect amount.
Not too sweet. Excellent flavor choices especially Turkish coffee! Modern new decor. Friendly staff. We will be back for sure. Open 12 to 9:30pm daily.
Very clean and orderly Ice cream shop. Mediterranean ice cream. Its kind of chewy compared to Blue Bell.
Tried 3 flavors .. not regular icecream.. didnt like it ..Not good attitude from the person working there.Poor customer service.. he was getting impatient when we were trying different flavors. Definitely not a 4.7 place .. its more of 3.0 place
We visited this place after watching a tiktok, but regardless of, this place did not disappoint. Ice cream tasted a bit different from what we are used to, but it was really good, definitely worth the drive. Place is very clean and the staff is nice.
Went here today they have a lot of authentic flavors at good prices for the portions. The ladies provided good customer service. Will return to get some ice cream again!
A little bit pricey but their ice cream is a real worthy. Creamy but not too sweet. Their pistachio ice cream is flavorful and must try.
Great place to check out and treat yourself with a good quality ice cream
A little known ice cream gem with over 80 years legacy of making delicious ice cream in Palestine! Love their ice cream & super clean store. Love the variety of unique Mediterranean flavors such as Rosewater & Orange Blossom. I suggest pricing the To-Go packages more competitively.
There is a Rukab shop (or at least was) in East Jerusalem for a while. My friends and I used to get these little cones with a bunch of different colors and wrapped in plastic. It was pretty amazing. I think they brought the ice cream in from the real store in Ramallah. I’m so excited to try this in Houston!
Different type of ice cream made from unique ingredients that when you scoop it from your cup it stretches. It does not normally melt as fast as regular ice cream. I ordered the small cup ($4) which you can select 2 flavors. I tried the chocolate and coconut. Delish! Son got the Turkish coffee and chocolate. The coffee flavor has a different flavor so taste a sample b4 you order. Manager and workers are kind and patient so dont be afraid to taste a sample of the flavor that you are interested in.
This ice cream is different, in a very good way. Got pints of Ashta w/ Pistachios and Hazelnut. Let it thaw just a little and the ice cream’s “chewyness” comes out. It’s so good! Never had it before and so glad I went.
I cannot wait to share my experience at this place. I heard about it for few months, but didn’t get the chance to visit yet until last night. It is where you will find the best Booza. I tried the pistachio and the lemon, and had taste from my kids vanilla and hazelnuts. I loved it. The owner and the employees are very friendly and welcoming. Sure coming back.
I had to try it after finding out the owners are Palestinian. Amazingly yummy. Tried the mango sorbet and even that was creamy.
Awesome ice cream and team! Definitely recommend the hazelnut
Wow talk about bringing back memories this place is amazing… ice cream is great, spot is clean and owners are great people! took 4 pints home!
Good staff and good ice cream but it wasnt worth the drive, only the normal ice cream was stretchy, the gelato and sherbet were normal.
I loved this spot! Price was affordable for icecream, its the one of the only places you can find stretchy ice cream in the state, and its lighter and in my opinion more flavorful. I reccomended it!
Great service. Great productThe Booza and the Gelato were on point.
Icecream flavors here are different, exotic and not over powering!!!But darn I am so hooked up on my H.E.B Creamy Creations!!!Small $5 .Medium $7 and up .. as of today!!!
FUN FACT: I have a food allergy that prevents me from having cows milk so I rarely (never) think to stop by an ice cream shop. Lucky for me, my close friend travels internationally to try ice cream. I’m not kidding. Anywho, because of said friend, we went to Booza and yum. How do I know? One, they had dairy free flavors for Dawn. And also because said friend who is normally talking a mile a minute was suddenly mute! Thank The Lord. I kid. She loved it! Reminded her of her flexible ice cream experience in Turkey. Anywho, the owner was super kind and the place was clearly designed and kept by someone with OCD. Again, THANK GOD. This is a keeper! Stop by and see why.
Very Delicious Gelato! We had the Gelato & Sherbert and they were awesome! The place is very clean the owner Ricky is hands on the service was great. They have a good variety of flavors but not too much. They make the flavors with real fruits and nuts, taste very flavorful but healthy. Highly recommend!
Heres their secret: pistachio flavor has pistachios in it, cherry has cherries, and so on. Maybe only except hazelnut.
2 words: stretchy icecream! Amazing authentic flavors
Really good 😎🤓❤️
Loved their mesteka and pistachio Mediterranean ice cream
Delicious. Highly recommend the lemon!
Such a cool place, you can tell it is a family friendly location. The trash can is a huge ice cream cone and my son thought that was so cool. And for the adults, theres espresso! Our ice cream was stretchy, just as advertised. The cashier was really nice, we got lids for the containers of ice cream we couldnt finish. Yes, it is pricier than regular ice cream, but this is way worth it. Enjoy!
I really dont like leaving bad reviews but I didnt even eat my $8 cup of Gelato/ice cream... so it was a waste of my money. Also the service was pretty rude. Unfortunately wasted food and threw away my pistachio (the fan favorite), chocolate, coffee ice cream. It was too thick and gooey. Pretty disappointed since they had good reviews
Get Turkish coffee and ashta flavors you will be like that guy, he knows what he is talking about. seriously though its great. Im not sure to call it ice cream, gelato, or custard. The texture kinda reminds me of all three. You really should try it. Eat it there or in your car so you dont let it melt away.
Truly the best ice cream i have ever had, and the most unique too!
First time to visit with family today. We loved the place. Owner and staff are very friendly and nice. Ice cream is great and Booza (stretchy ice cream) is amazing. All natural flavors made with real fruits.Highly recommend!!
First time trying this type of ice cream and it did not disappoint. Very delicious ... pistachio is good! Give it a try if you’re up for something new.
Went for my first time today after seeing them on TV on ABC Localish, glad I went, very clean store, and I got to meet the friendly father of the owner Mr. Ricky Rukab very friendly gentleman and funny. Seems like a family oriented local business and I am glad to have supported them. I got the cone with 3 flavors Strawberry, Pineapple, and Lemon. Tastes great, natural and home made. Ill definitely be back
Never thought I’ve have this taste on my taste buds in the US.
Nice ice cream with great workers
Rich and favorite places to go for a visit with you guys..
The pistachio ice cream was worth the drive from Massachusetts.
Good icecream however super expensive. I can get 4-5 bluebell icecream with same price! Not happy. 2 pint $28$28!!!!!
Best ice cream in Houston Booza Remember me in the ice cream Rukab in Palestine, Ramallah, Al-Earsal Street.
I placed an order that was shipped to me in Cleveland Ohio and when it came I was worried that it might be melted but when I opened it they had packaged it and a nice Styrofoam cooler with dry ice so the ice cream was still frozen and when I eat the ice cream it tasted amazing and reminded me exactly of the ice cream at Rukab in Ramallah ice cream so good they named an entire street after it I gave Booza1941 a 10 out of 10Thank You!
Excellent chocolate shake. Not overly sweetened, felt very light and had good flavor. Served with a big straw so it is easy to sip. Option to add a banana in it, but I didnt do that. Very friendly staff. Will definitely be back.
Our first Booza was incredible. We met the family, learned the history of this Lebanese treat and indulged in the scrumptious flavors. If you are from Houston or just passing through be sure to stop in for an unforgettable treat.
Ramallah flavor A+
The ice cream was different from your regular cup of ice cream. The flavors were suttle and fantastic.
Good place for families to hang around.
It was very disappointing after reading some of the review, I wanted to try the the pistachio ice cream, so I bought for me and my family the to go box and pistachio roll, first of all it’s really overpriced for what it taste like, I’ve tried those in the past in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Turkey and what Booza had taste nothing like back home, it’s bland and it’s taste cold watery with some milk, sugar and lot of pistachio, basically cold pistachio.I’ve also took ice cream cone that was fine but not amazing.
This place is amazing!! I got Ashta and it was one of the best desserts Ive had in the entire city. The nice girl at the front was very sweet and made our experience amazing. 10/10 I recommend in both taste and service,
Great tasting ice cream.
Best ice cream place in H-Town
Booza is not a regular ice cream, its made of completely different and expansive ingredients. It takes a lot of time to make this amazing ice cream. $6 for a big cup with 3 flavors is really cheap comparing to Brooklyns Booza place. I loved orange blossom and rose petals flavors, the others are great too.
Ice cream was great! Staff very friendly!
Great tasting flavors
AMAZING!!!!! best ice cream i have EVER had. i love ice cream, and have tasted everything from gelato to frozen yogurt. this is my most favorite ice cream out of all i have tried. the texture is incredible. the flavors are so natural and homemade. this place is a MUST SEE for all dessert and ice cream lovers. 100% recommend. the rosewater flavor in particular is divine.
👍 must try, lived the chocolate hazelnut
The ice cream is delicious! The ice cream has a very creamy and luxurious texture. The sherbet texture is a bit different, light and fluffy. The flavors come through really well. And its stretchy!! They will let you sample the different flavors before you decide. Not to mention, the owners are very friendly. Cant wait to come back!
Majority of the flavors are of their own creations. they have the usual flavors like chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry but they make it themselves. its unique in many different ways. for sweet lovers, i would recomend rosewater flavor. coffee lovers, turkish coffee. nut lovers, pistachio. i also tried the lemon flavor which was great! try this place and you wont regret it.
Delicious ice cream and the staff was very helpful. Gave us allergy I formation and even helped with flavor selection as we cannot taste right now.
Best Ice Cream in Houston. Authentic “Ashta” Flavor and great chocolate. Try their rosewater too! I’ve been looking for a place that has this authenticity for a while here. Thanks for the family that is taking care of it.
I am a big ice cream person and have tried almost all the places in Houston. Today my husband just said let’s check out this place Booza and we did. It was the most amazing ice creams I’ve had, the flavours were so fresh and they make their ice cream in house which was great. My husband isn’t a sweet tooth but he ended up getting one. From the ones we had I loved the almond salted caramel, guava, pistachio, cherry the most. Love love it.
Gelato is always more expensive than reg ice cream, but the prices here are reasonable. The flavors actually taste like their namesake.
Not recommendIts not at all flavorful
Really great naturally flavored ice cream. Huge range of flavors! I thought I didn’t like sherbet but theirs is amazing! I recommend the guava and passion fruit sherbet for those who like refreshing flavors.
The owner is so rude to my kid! My daughter was politely asked about the flavor. He totally ignored her and looked frustrated. Whats wrong with him!?! Ice cream was good but not amazing. Super disappointed and Not going back.
This place is an absolute gem. Very clean and bright. Wide selection of gelato and middle eastern ice cream. Plenty of seats inside and out. Highly recommended if you craving some delicious ice cream. We drove all the way from the NW part of town for it and its worth it.
Verity of delicious regular and traditional Arabic ice cream, loved that its family recipe and family owned
