We came for dinner on Saturday night. It was not busy, which is really surprising given how great it was. The food is superb and quickly served. The service is fantastic and friendly. We came with two small children and the owner was so welcoming to them. Also - the kid’s meals were just as good as ours - homemade chicken tenders and macaroni and cheese. We plan to come back next week to try more!
The food here is amazing 👏 and I cant say enough about how kind the staff is. The wine is always the perfect temperature and the selection is on point. They have a smaller selection than some places, but its because they dont need the long list. The wine options are perfect!The pizza is fresh and the crust is almost a thin crust, but not too thin.And I highly recommend the seafood pasta. The owner gets the seafood fresh everyday and it tasted fresher than places Ive eaten in Galveston. Highly recommend Tortoni. 😋
Excellent place, totally worth the price tag on the dishes. Had a date night there, 2 entrees and a bottle of wine, total under $100. Delicious food, especially the Chicken Alfredo. Will definitely be back!PS. I dont get why some people are complaining about the price. Its a nice restaurant, not a taco truck.

Closest Ive had to Italy in AmericaThe spaghetti alla carbonara is the best Ive had since being in Italy years ago. It may be better but I dont dare make that statement.Babe and I truly enjoyed each part of fresh, homemade meal.The only negative part were the too hard of garlic knots making them hard to chew. But that could be a one off accident. Ill definitely be back!
First time at Tortoni I ordered a pizza to go at lunch and diet coke This way before the pandemic. Pizza was excellent.Yesterday was my second time at Tortoni. I had Salad, Spaghetti and Meatballs and of course one glass of wine. I could not finish my Spaghetti and Meatballs so I took the rest home for lunch the next day. Thank you for your excellent food, wine and service. I will be back again.
This place was amazing. The food was beautiful and the service was outstanding. I felt like i was at my house because of how friendly the waiters were. I highly recommend coming here and i will definitely come back here again.
DELICIOSO! I LOVED the atmosphere...very cool, old-school feel to the place. Good music...great ambiance. The owner and server made us feel like old friends. And the FOOD! I saw someone earlier review that they didnt like it because they didnt get bread...well, they must have said something rude when they got there because we got the most delicious garlic knots before our meal. Will definitely be back.

Small strip mall restaurant that keeps surprising us. Build your own Pizza is fantastic, thin crust and flavorful sauce. I was hoping for a wine sauce mushroom ravioli but once I had the tomato sauce I was asking for bread to sop up the rest. The basic spaghetti and meat ball was a hit with the younger crowd. House salad is perfect. Staff is super friendly. You can BYOB, so stop by Specs on your way in. The wall art ranges from Italian scenery to Tony Soprano. Havent tried the dessert but it looks delicious.
WOW! Their garlic knots are amazing. I have to ask them to bring another order out just because of how amazing they are. Their pizza and ravioli are to die for. I cant believe how incredibly wonderful this place is and consistent on always having good food.
Tried this restaurant and was really disappointed. I ordered the spaghetti with meatballs, and the meatballs were very small and flavor was odd. My husband (who is of Italian descent ) had the chicken parmigiana and he also was disappointed, the chicken was not flavorful and almost rubbery. We have eaten at many Italian restaurants and really wanted to enjoy our meal here, but sadly we did not. Prices are also a little high. The dinner rolls and salad were very good. I hate to leave a reviews like this as we want to support local small businesses.

The food, the experience, and the family atmosphere are bar none. One of the best Italian restaurants in town comparable to that of the best Carrabbas. Houston elite unite. This is a gem and a diamond in the rough. If I were not born native Houstonian since the 80s, I most likely would be flying into town for these meals.
Even better than I expected. Was traveling through Houston and decided to eat from here because of the good reviews. I went inside to ask for a custom pizza to suit my vegetarian needs and I was helped by the gentleman at the bar. It came out spectacular. Fresh veggie taste, juicy, and a very tasty sauce. 10/10.

This place is awesome. They’re an Italian family owned & operated authentic Italian cuisine with some of the best service I’ve ever seen. The owners really go above and beyond to make sure every dish that comes out of the kitchen is absolutely amazing and his customers are happy. Tortonis has two really great things going for them. Amazing lasagna (like your Italian mother or grandmother would make) and very personable staff. I have eaten here twenty times and love this place.
Had the chicken parmesan. It was wonderful and the pasta was perfectly cooked. The bathroom was CLEAN!
Food is overpriced. For cost of the meal one would also think they would get a small salad with the meal or some bread on the tableNot worth it.

I loved it so good very tasty perfect on the dot not to much garlic on my bread not very salty just perfect for my taste.but the one i was going to be worried about was my 14, 7, and 4 year old there the ones that say its good. So if my kids approve its good there the biggest food pickers ever they love Italian food but would not eat nothing from a can or frozen so if we all enjoyed so much and thank you. I can highly recommend this Italian restaurant and i will be returning for more.

Great ambiance with a fair wine list and a great variety of Italian classics. They have an entertaining set of TVs that will consume your attention while waiting for your meal. I’ve had many different plates and they were OK. Nothing blew my mind but everything was well cooked and a good flavor. Service was attentive and courteous.
We have come here a few times. Great food and the waiter is very nice. The atmosphere is very quiet ( At not so busy times) and nice.
I ate here for the first time today and the pizza is absolutely amazing! I am one of the ones who typically leaves the crust on the plate, but here I couldnt stop eating it. It has the perfect balance of dough and crunch, not dry at all like you get at some places. I had the salad/slice of pizza combo and even the salad was good. They had an awesome pesto dressing that was healthy and tasty. Would highly recommend! This will be a regular for me.

Excellent food with nice wait staff. If it was in a charming house, rather than a frontage road strip center, it would be the hottest place around. I think the location is just unfortunate. But we really enjoyed the meal. It deserves more business.
First time here and it was amazing. Great food, wonderful service, and just what I needed. I brought my 4 year old which made me nervous when I walked in because the vibe is cozy but date night. The owner came out and was extremely sweet to my daughter (who was a little wild and excitable) The wine selection looks amazing though today was not my day to sample it so I will be back. She had the kids pizza which came out super fast and she ate it all. I have the beef lasagna which I um... inhaled. Ha. Thank you for your kindness.

The food is always good, but we ordered a 18 inch pizza with all the veggies. It turns out that they charge for every topping. turned out to be $60 pizza!!!!!!!! We asked if this was correct and the owner (s) said yes! Wont go back!
We had not visited since they opened. I was hoping it had improved as the reviews have improved. Unfortunately not so. We ordered a variety of dishes veal, chicken and pasta. Food s mediocre at best. I would not recommend this establishment
Highest quality ingredients. Excellent service (very attentive but not pushy). Pasta is outstanding (had the Carbonara). I usually dont eat salad, had to finish mine and it was beautifully decorated with really tasty imported ingredients. Family owned and awesome wines. I understand many people are use to ordering huge low quality plates when eating out. I prefer quality over quantity any day. Highly recommended !
All the food is made with fresh ingredients and itll be the closest to italian food youll ever come across Houston! Staff is very formal and service is excellent.Ask for recommendations if youre not sure what to order.The wines are a bit pricey for most people but the boutique wines they have a worth every penny, listen to your server!Overall, if youre looking for a great restaurant experience and some of the best plates and wines, definitely give it a try. Also come on thursdays, they have a saxophonist weekly!

Nice interior, friendly greeting. Slow, very slow service. Appetizer and entrees arrived less than 5 minutes apart. The food was very good, hot and well seasoned. This was our first visit so we will give them another try.

The atmosphere was nice, I had my birthday dinner with friends there in March .We had fun there. And today it was one of my coworker birthday and dinner was delicious. I would highly recommend Tortoni Restaurant.

Nice place. Good service. The chicken marsala was one of the best Ive had, but any dish that had marinara sauce was WAY too salty. Maybe the shaker spilled in the sauce that day?? I would have give 4 stars if not for the salty marinara. Also, the prices are a tad too high...but hey, maybe they have to pay for all the salt! Just kidding. We will go back for another try.

Just moved to this area and tried out Tortonis. We had FANTASTIC service with AMAZING pizza and salad for a quick lunch. Met the owner and his wife, they are so down to earth and truly love this place and it shows in every aspect! ❤️ Will be coming here more often for sure!
If you like excellent and authentic Italian food thats healthy and very high quality, personable and seriously fast service by the owners themselves and affordable prices, you will like this place. Youd never know it by the outside as its just a generic shopping center, but its truly a hidden jewel of this town. Been eating there for nearly two years every other week, and Im really picky, so that should tell you a lot, actually. Cheers!
Way overpriced!! Literally 5 bites of ravioli for $22 (1 plate). No beer. What restaurant says BYOB?! If I wanted to do that Id go to a picnic! Apparently all the positive reviews are for pizza only which is the cheapest item on the menu. Will not be returning and do not recommend.

The service is exceptional, they helped me select the perfect dishes for my taste. Food was perfect and ready so quickly!Caprese salad, deliciously fresh tomatoes, delicate mozzarella and perfectly seasoned.Garlic knots, perfect bread, perfect seasoning and perfectly baked,Fettuccine Funghi & Tartufo, fresh perfectly cooked pasta, sauce perfectly seasoned, sausage delicious.Penne Arrabbiata was full of flavor yet light and fresh.Tiramisu is divinely delicious.I am looking forward to working my way through the whole menu!
This restaurant definitely has a cute italian atmosphere. The owner himself is great and paid special attention to us and came by our table several times even. However, our waiter specifically seemed a bit overwhelmed. He was young and the restaurant on our night was understaffed a bit with a busy crowd. The waiter did unfortunately forget my minestrone and after I asked the owner about the coke I ordered I finally got it. It should also be noted that we did not receive any garlic bread and the two tables who came in after us did. The minestrone was not put on our tab either after I informed the manager but to make up for the forgotten the soup the manager took it upon himself to grant us the tiramisu which we both agreed was fantastic! I ordered the risotto and it came in a red sauce and seemed a bit overcooked. Had I been asked I would have preferred a white sauce. My husband ordered lasagna which was fresh. After looking at other reviews and seeing the pizza come out to other tables I see now I should have definitely ordered the pizza. There is so much competition in Houston for food and this restaurant I learned is fairly young and only 2 years old I believe. I will give it another shot though simply because of the owners work ethic and hospitality. The hospitality of the owner got this to 4 stars instead of 3.
