The Ithaca Mr Tire location is the best shop in Ithaca and its surrounding areas. They explain things well and always get the work done quickly and with skill. Great employees who are awesome with customers. Ive dropped my vehicle off several times and Im just impressed with this shop and the work they do.

I received excellent service at the Ithaca Mr Tire location. I selected the tires and scheduled the appointment online. I received a confirmation email a short time later. On the day of the appointment, I arrived early and they took me in right away. The personnel were courteous and efficient. Ian did the balancing and installation. He showed me a couple maintenance issues that could be dealt with at a future time. I appreciated his advice and attention to detail. Overall, this service appointment met my expectations and I will recommend this location to my family members who live in the area.

I paid full price and the two new tires they installed on my car today were manufactured in 2018, almost 3 years old! I could not be there when they installed the tires. If I were told the tires are this old, I would have looked at other places. In addition, I was charged $60 life time tire installation package without my permission. It was refunded in the end, but the process was such a waste of time and energy. The mechanic did answer my questions patiently and I appreciated that. Overall, it was disgusting that they made so many attempts to take advantage of me and installed two aged new tires on my almost new car without consultation.

Only a handful of people care about customer’s needs and wants. I was thrilled to see how the Mr. Tire’s manager got back to me when I left unhappy. I am totally convinced and happy that they took care of my car’s inspection. I recommend this place because their commitment towards customer satisfaction.

Called and made an appointment and when I arrived at my appointment I was informed that they wouldnt be able to do what they had just told me on the phone the night before to come in for. Didnt even get a call letting me know that my appointment would have to be rescheduled due to a faulty alignment machine. Thanks for wasting my time. Definitely wouldnt recommend going to this Mr tire.

My wife and I took a trip to the Finger Lakes. When we arrived after a 4 hour drive (from PA), the coolant light came on, on our 2008 BMW. This was on a Wednesday. Chris and the gang looked at it on Thursday morning, and it turns out there was a hole in the radiator, and it needed a new one. It looked looked like we needed to leave the car there into the following week. As we were about to leave on Saturday, we got a call from Chris that the car was finished. They ordered the radiator, got it in, and his best technicican (who has worked on BMWs before) did the repair. It saved a 4 hour trip from our in-laws to pick us up. I cant say enough about Chris and his crew. They were professional and so very helpful. When going to a different state, one never knows about the integriy or quality of work when using a garage. These guys are the best. You wont be disappointed!

Got a flat on 81 and pulled in here. They took the tire, patched it, and had it back on by the time we got a drink from Starbucks. Mavis tire wanted us to wait 3 hours.

Took my Mini cooper there a month or so ago to have the tires balanced and alignment. Did a great job and ABSOLUTELY NO DAMAGE TO MY CAR. (No one mentioned that in the reviews but I think its important) I recommend them.

Well the car need it a tier alignment because it would pull to the right so we took it to mister tier, after the alignment not only the car pulls to the right, the steering wheel is not straight is turned to the left. So Im stuck with the car pulling to the right and steering wheel is to the left. Maybe was just my luck.

Mr. Tire is my familys go-to place for all of our auto repairs and tires. They always treat me fairly and the management are very customer-focused and friendly. They have always topped off the air in my tires when I swing by and just today they fixed two of my tires for under $20. Truly unexpected and appreciated. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy place to get their car serviced or to buy new tires.

I went to Mr Tire here in Ithaca NY my car was making noise In the brakes. The manager Chris was very friendly. Brought my car right in to check it out found that my brakes were grinding metal on metal. They were able to get my car fixed in less than a hour and at a great price. I will definitely be back in the future when I am in Ithaca.

Went in for an oil change. Was informed that my car was so badly out of alignment that the front tires were ready to go at any time. Wasnt expecting a $500 fix so asked if just an alignment for now would help. Was assured that it would. Contacted someone else about tires and when they went to put them on was told the lower ball joint was bad and that an alignment wouldnt have been able to be done with that. So Mr tire basically took the money for an alignment that couldnt be done to begin with. Should have known something wasnt right when I didnt get the paper that is always given after an alignment. Will never go there again and advise everyone else to take your business elsewhere too. My tires were just barely starting to wear too so no idea what the guy was on for him to turn that into ready to go at any time. He said could be minutes, hours or days.

Simple process. I got my vehicle inspected & they were very friendly. Its close to lots of places so I was able to leave my car & walk to go shopping or have lunch. Very convenient.

I always struggle to find reliable shops to have my car worked on - for routine maintenance and more. Mr. Tire has always offered outstanding service. An old school service center - nothing fancy inside. But it helps a McDonalds is up the street within walking distance ☺️

The end of October I received an oil change and what was suppose to be a full inspection on my car specifically my brakes like I asked. I was in an out. Again upon check out I asked about my brakes because I was very concerned about my rotors I knew something was wrong with them I was reassured they were inspected and nothing was wrong. Today after having issues with my brakes again i came in to get them checked at another location . I was told not only was my brake pads, rotors ruined, but the calipers also and this should have been caught upon inspection in October with as much damage that was done to them. Do not recommend this place now this is costing me a fortune of something that shouldve been caught!

My wife and I drove last weekend for the Cornell Family weekends. On Friday night night, the low tire pressure warning sign turned on. We first tried to pump some air in a nearby gas station. However, the gauge was broken and we did not know which tire is short of air. The next morning we drove to Mr. Tire and thought we could get an accurate examination and we can have it taken care in the worst case.The on site manager quickly measure the tire pressure and made them right. It appears there is no problem with the tire. And there is no charge.Besides seeing our daughter last weekend, this super friendly experience is also very memorable.

Multiple visits over the last year and a half have gone smoothly, service always done on time.-----------------------------------------------------------I visited this location twice in the past month and was happy with the service received. First visit was a routine state inspection and although took longer than expected it was not overly so.Second visit was more complicated -- new tires/alignment. Staff was knowledgeable, friendly and upfront in terms of pricing. I knew what to expect going in and was given lots of options. Service was complete and on time, tires are working great and staff worked with me to get as many discounts as possible.Ill be coming back again.

I refuse to go anywhere but Mr Tire for my auto service needs. Specifically for me the Ithaca location. They always get me in at my convenience, they remember me and my vehicle, they are always friendly and take the time to listen to my concerns as well as ensure I understand the needs of my car. They always ensure that if there is a promotion that will save me money that I get it even if I was unaware of it. They have always gotten me in and out asap knowing tgat my time is important. They have always done great work and I have never had an issue with service in anyway.

Honest. Showed my brakes were in good condition and did not need to be changed. They diagnosed there had been dust around the brakes which made them squeak. They cleaned it out for a minimum charge. I have not had any problems. They were very knowledgeable. It’s difficult to find an honest mechanic and they were great! A+++++

Called mr tire to get in to check a noise that my car was making, they told me bring it down so they could check it out. They found that something hit the backing plate to my brake rotors and it was rubbing the rotor. Mr tires technician bent the plate back and the noise was gone. To top it off they didnt charge me for this. The employees were great and honest. They could have taken advantage of the situation and told me I needed some expensive repairs. But instead they showed me the problem and fixed it and I was on my way. I will return for future service and recommend to anyone who asks about a good repair place.

Absolutely excellent service, and while they were doing my oil change, they discovered that a clamp on the bottom of my car had rusted away and was no longer attached to the car. I popped my tire first thing in the morning yesterday. I called my usual place and they told me they wouldnt be able to get me in until two days later. I called Mr. Tire and Ramon at the front desk got me in right away. They put two new tires on, aligned the tires and fixed my headlight, all while I was at work. I was able to pick up my car as soon as I got out. Id recommend these guys to everyone.

This place is a complete joke. They sold the customer in front of us who spoke very little English an incredibly marked up tire for no reason. Completely took advantage of them. They interpret inspection law however they wish in order to fail vehicles and collect revenue. I would not recommend this shade tree shop to anyone who needs any work done and will be contacting the BBB.

I stopped here early one morning while on my way out of town because of a problem with my car. Todd was not even officially open yet, but he took my car in and took care of a potentially dangerous situation and got me back on the road. The friendly, honest and quick service was appreciated.

I got a flat tire on the way home from work. Mr. Tire had a new tire mounted and balanced within minutes, even though they where about to close. I had a 60 mile drive back to Syracuse in the snow. .. I wouldnt have made it without their help.

I took my car to Mr. Tire of Ithaca for an inspection. They informed me that I needed new rear break pads and rotors which I expected. After looking it over they informed me that my car required $1,500 worth of work. About $500 of it wasnt relevant to passing my inspection (tire rotation, alignment, brake flush). What I am most disgusted with is they told me I needed a new rear coil spring and quoted me $300 for parts and labor.I took my vehicle to a different mechanic outside Ithaca and asked for an inspection without telling them about my previous quote. They quoted me less than $500 for new rear break pads and rotors as well as a new belt. I asked specifically about my rear coil spring and I was told it was perfectly fine.Dont waste your time and money at Mr. Tire of Ithaca.

Great customer service at this location. My gfs car needed new brake lights because she was pulled over the night before and received a potential ticket if she didnt get it replaced by dusk the next day. After unsuccessfully trying it myself, I stopped by without an appointment and they had the lights in within minutes of my arrival. Also very patient with the fact I forgot the form at home and told it me was no problem to retrieve it and come back later before closing time to have it signed.

I bought a tire, told them if it didnt match the others, remount the spare on the chrome rim, use new tire as the spare, do an oil change, $300 later oil change done, mis matched new tire on truck, spare put in the bed instead of in the carrier, I had to ask them to reset tire pressure sensor. Very unprofessional.

Like many other reviews Ive seen here, despite my wife giving Mr Tire a great review in their previous work, I have to say that, while friendly this place definitely scammed us.We had our car inspected last week as well as checked for any other potential issues and we were told that everything was in good shape.One week later my battery and check engine lights among others start blinking at me, and my car stops starting.A friendly neighborly person gave me a jump which got me to the shop. After a very quick assessment they told us that the alternator and battery were shot. Now it is my understanding that one or the other becomes dysfunctional and the less damaged part picks up the slack for the other. Having spoken to two other mechanics, including our dealerships, we were told that it doesnt make sense that they would be trying to sell us both a new alternator and battery.Despite all of this, our car is there, and we were given an $800 estimate for a car that was LITERALLY JUST INSPECTED and checked up.I have read other reviews here reporting the same kind of thing, as well as having spoken to many other customers who report similar scenarios about having theiron vehicle checked and or inspected, thoroughly tested, and then days later the car ceasing to function.I dont know what kind of business would operate in what seems QUITE suspect operation, but Mr. Tire of Ithaca is one of those businesses. I will never take any vehicle we own there ever again.Complete scam artists.Stop sabotaging vehicles. It is not just ethically and morally reprehensible, but is so irresponsibly dangerous that it could LITERALLY kill people.DO NOT GO HERE!!!ZERO STARS IF IT LET ME RATE IT AS SUCH.Also, note to customer service: Dont bother trying to get me to contact you via a reply to this review. Honest and knowledgeable at mr tire. Brought my car in thought I needed brakes my car was making a scraping noise. Upon inspection found just a backing plate was scraping. Ramon was great could have sold me brakes because I was sure I needed them. But he brought me right out and showed me my brakes were ok. Just had to move backing plate off of the brake rotor. Thanks for the honest service!!

A friend of mine had 4 new tires mounted and balanced and a front end alignment done at mr tire the guy who mounted the tires must not have tightened the lugs on one of them and the tire came off and had to have it towed home. Not where Ill be taking my truck for any service if thats how they fix a vehicle.

Amazing service. Had a flat tire on our motorcycle on Sunday September 25 when all motorcycle shops are closed. The gentleman at Mr. Tire was able to help us even though they arent set up to help motorcycles. He fixed our tire and saved our vacation .

Had 2 issues with my F 250. Wipers wouldnt shut off so they replace the control knob on the turn signal, and I needed new rods up front...great work, timely done. Im happy

Get a second opinion before getting any major maintenance done here.Brought my vehicle here for an inspection, was told in order to pass the inspection I would need to replace all of my calipers, brakes and rotors estimated at $800. Brought my vehicle to a different garage and was told my calipers were completely fine and that only my front brakes and rotors needed replacing and spent only $200.

Kost Tire is a great place to get your car fixed. After having a very bad experience with another repair shop in town I took my car to Kost. I needed new tail lights to pass inspection, they told me I could buy the parts online and they would put them in because if they bought them for me they would have to charge list price which was $200 more then what I got them for online. They also installed new wire harnesses to the tail lights, correcting a problem that had been caused by shoddy repair work from the previous repair shop. I bought 4 new tires for the price of 3 because my tires were balding and it was getting close to winter. About 3 months after this two of the bulbs in my tail lights went out and another was close to going out, so I brought it back in to Kost to fix them. They told me there was some kind of electrical problem causing the bulbs to blow quickly and they didnt have the computer needed to locate the problem. They changed all three bulbs free of charge, even though the stopped working because of a preexisting problem that had nothing to do with them. I cant stress enough how much I appreciate these guys they are always looking out for the customer and I trust them completely. If you want a reliable repair shop this is the place.
