Incredibly dishonest and suspicious business practices at this store.I exchanged my new 128 GB iPhone SE for an iPhone 12 by paying the difference and a $50 restocking fee. When I got home I realized they had mistakenly(?) given me a 64 GB iPhone 12. I brought it back the next day to exchange it for the 128 GB phone I thought I already had and they told me that I could not exchange it again unless I pay ANOTHER $50 restocking fee. Scam artists at work here.
Picked out a new phone for my wife. Went smoothly, got the phone we wanted, and got a good deal. Only issue was that actual phones in stock were different than what online said.

Service reps there are useless and less helpful than the automated 800 number bots! At least bots dont get argumentative and can say sorry you are frustrated.
Worst customer service. Ordered a new phone on Saturday at this location. Phone arrives no problem. The actual problem is that my phone bill has now been changed. I was sold a phone and never informed that my plan was going to be changed to accommodate the fact that the phone I purchased could only be used on a 5g plan. If I had know that I wouldnt have made the purchase. We dont have 5g in our area. We can barely even get the 4lte. We go back today to the store hoping for a better experience than calling the customer service number ( still dealing with other issues from those phone calls as well. ) At the store you are informed that only one person per account may go into the store with a representative due to Covid concerns. Okay fine. I stand outside on the sidewalk during a thunderstorm with torrential downpours waiting while I let my boyfriend try to get everything straightened out. Inside the store he is told that if he wanted to return the phone he would have to pay a stocking fee of $50. Even though I was never told about the fee at point of sale or told that my plan was going to change and go up in price. He was also told that we werent being charged the ten dollars even though it says it on my bill. Outside the store where I am waiting I watch a woman come out of the store and get into an SUV illegally parked in the area between handicap spaces that is typically used for van accessibility. After at least ten minutes a man exited the store and got into the same vehicle. When I brought this up to the employee that came outside he shrugged his shoulders. Then when I asked why it wasnt okay for me to go inside but it was okay for them. I was told that I didnt have to wait outside I could go sit in my vehicle.
Verizon is the worst service provider of all time. They never provided service, yet told me repeatedly that I had service. I couldnt make or receive calls. They said 4 times they would send someone out to fix the problem. I stayed home and no one ever came. I called them at least 10 times one hold for long periods and never got anywhere. Now for two years they have been harassing me with 3 phone calls a day wanting me to pay /$300 for service I never received. Do NOT use verizon. They are a nightmare.
Fantastic efficient service
This store is run like a clown show. The guy comes out and rudely says I cant come in the store with my gf because of the pandemic. Im looking at the stores nearby that have 50-100 people inside. I wont name him but your workers need training in how to socialize with society, rudeness when one is spending a lot of money and acting polite is uncalled for. Before you write back a generic, cliche response, think about how you are treating your clients, you know the ones who make sure you keep getting checks.

Pretty annoyed!!! I went into the store about 2 weeks ago, the visit was amazing. But now that the manger told us that he was going to take off 2 of the activation fees off our 1st bill since we did great business for them and to check my bill on the 30th. I said are you sure you wont forget, he assured me he wouldnt. Well go to check my bill and that was a lie. Tried to call the store cant get through. As a manager you should NEVER tell a customer that your going to dk something and then not do it.
I went in to inquire about upgrading my phone as well as traveling using my Verizon phone. The staff member I spoke with (Cory) was incredibly helpful and knowledgable. Very well spoken and friendly. He knew his stuff, and helped me figure out what my options were and to come up with the best solution. Definitely renewed my appreciation for their service! Thanks Cory!

Bought a pixel 4 from Verizon and shipped it to my son at Ithaca College. He took the phone here to have a screen protector installed and data transfer so we could return it for the rebate. The woman working there refused to help him transfer the data sayingwe dont do that, Its our policy. I just had it done with the same phone at a Verizon store here at home where they were happy to do so. Wanted to make sure it was done right going to a Verizon store, but this one was a Total Failure ! Thanks for nothing . 0 Stars
Not a great experience. Staff was not knowledgeable about the phones or products they were pushing to sell along with the phone.I would recommend against purchasing accessories from the store. They will probably say that the screen protector comes with free replacements, but that is just not true. You can also get them much cheaper elsewhere.

I had a bad experience at a different store, and these guys fixed the problem, and got me what I wanted without me going over my budget! Definitely a happy customer.
I came in to upgrade my phone. I was expecting a long and difficult process where they somehow would sell me a ridiculously expensive phone that I didnt need or want, but the person who helped me listened to my needs and quickly gave me a few choices. I picked one (not the most expensive, mind you) and then he got my checked out and never once tried to pressure me in to buying something I didnt need. This was the most pleasant experience Ive ever had at Verizon, and I have had A LOT of experiences here. I came in fully ready to walk out without an upgrade and go somewhere else for service, but left still a Verizon customer due to this guy.
One cannot even call this local retail store number and speak to a human being. No option allows for that. Their automated system requires you to enter a pin to continue. Seriously? But what if you’re not a Verizon customer?? I guess they can’t be bothered to answer calls from anyone else. We need a LOT more cell competition in the US, obviously.
I stopped into the store yesterday to get help with getting my new phone set up. I was having a hard time transferring my info from my old phone. I asked the young man to help me. He would help a bit walk away and then Id have to wait to get his attention to help me again.I would think with all the money we pay monthly for our cell phones the least they could do is spend the time needed with us!!!All of my info has still not transferred!Poor customer service!
Went in for a cell tower for my elderly mom. Guy told me shed have to change plans. So I guess they dont support there own prepaid accounts.Always looking to sell you something. My mom is elderly and only uses a flip phone. She isnt tech savvy so I guess they dont care. In my opinion Verizon stinks
The staff is very amazing and friendly. They remember you by name and are so helpful with whatever problem you have. Or if you are just upgrading they know all about the phones and features compared to each other.Also, fun fact, Rob was in a world championship for a Switch game. Ask him about it!

If youre not into iPhone this isnt the Verizon to go to because they really push iPhone. Also as for customer service, there are a FEW occasional employees that are very helpful, but there are others that seem like they cant spare the time of day. I went in because I suspected that my partners phone number and phone was being hacked. I told one of the employees that I had received messages from Verizon that were about things I did not authorize regarding my account, and the guy asked to see the messages, and told me well we didnt send it so I dont know what that is and I asked him what could that mean and he told me there was a chance the number was being hacked. So I asked him what to do about it and he said he didnt know because the message didnt come from Verizon. He also made my partner feel dumb when he asked a simple question about upgrading our phones, he just couldnt be bothered

After being told several times that my phone was not under warranty it turned out not only was it under factory warranty but I have been paying for the extra protection! I was told a different story by every different employee I ran into and I was given a business card for gadget repair pro and told that perhaps they could fix it or perhaps maybe they couldnt this business card was given to me by the man who told me I did not have any coverage I might phone 😡 I asked to speak to the regional manager was not given the number was told he would call me that didnt happen so I went to corporate! My new phone is in the mail and Im not sure corporate is very happy that customers who pay for extra protection are denied that and giving a business card so their bodies across the street! Paid for a prepaid phone service. Phone works but when someone texts to its number, another person has the same number for text. so they sell you a service with text but it is defective. when you go back to have it fixed, no help! they give you a number to calll for help that is impossible to get an answer from....terrible customer service. you should be ashamed to have this type of customer service in ithaca....A day after my purchase, a service feedback form came by email. I filled it in with my complaint and low customer rating. An automatic reply came that someone will contact me. It has been a week, noone contacting....
Its Verizon, happy to take your money! They are using technology to manage service and they are relatively quick to help you. Sometimes gets busy around lunch time!
So don’t go to the downtown store with issues. The manager walks away and won’t help. Seems like that’s the response from all Verizon customer service. Sorry there’s nothing I can do. Just give us more money. Horrible service don’t go downtown.

Very rude and would not help me at all!! If I could give them zero stars I would! All I wanted was a little help with start up for a replacement phone and he informed me that they do NOT help people with there phones. That is not their job! They sell phones. What kind of a business is this?? They have 10 people standing around doing nothing!!! No wonder why we pay so much for service! Looking better all the time with changing companies. Very very unhappy!

So horrible. I went in asking if they could help me out with a problem on my phone, and the man helping me was only concerned on switching my account to another plan. He also was sharing information about me bill (how much i’m spending) so loudly that everyone in the store could hear.
Super helpful. My S7 Edge was doing ridiculous things, and doing what the call center told me to do completely bricked it. This place was able to fix it - from a frozen mess- in under an hour.

Avoid this place. The guys at the BJs location used to be helpful but not the location at Ithaca mall. I bought an iPhone 8 in August with a screen protector that had a lifetime guarantee from their BJs location. Then the BJs location closed. The mall location can’t replace my $50 screen protector so now I have to buy another one even though they are the same company. That is ridiculous and definitely not customer service! I’ll go directly to Verizon in the future. These guys are useless! Go directly to Veriizon instead!

DO NOT SHOP HERE! This is not a corporate Verizon store; it is a contracted Verizon retailer called Victra. They will charge you $19.99 fee per line and call it a set-up fee, which is really just a fee for shopping there. My first Verizon bill came with activation charges, which I called to dispute because I was already charged $19.99 set up fee per line in the store. The Verizon rep explained to me that the fee we paid in the store was just a general fee charged by Victra for shopping with them, and I still had to pay my Verizon activation fees on top of that. I called Victra and they did nothing but tell me its a nonrefundable fee and theres nothing they can do. Talk about shady business practices. Take your business to an actual corporate Verizon store and run these thieves out of business.
We got to the store around 3pm busy yes black Friday we got called around 3 40pm ok we did not leave out the store until 8 05pm here is the kicker we are waiting for 150. 00 credit which they said was canceled right back to us because he made a mistake not only that phone calls after phone calls for someone to fix the problem waiting for the port now because it suppose to be another phone call tired of waiting now tell them to cancel the whole transaction oh they got my husband phone from prepaid to post paid and now there is credit on the phone so we had to pay for a 40 plan Rob the solution manager states that he going to credit his account for next month so he wont have to pay and now all they can say is sorry. I understand. I believe thats all that they have a habit of saying from previous post I have read and they going to respond to this we are sorry you you had such a bad experience. Nearly five hours in one place frustrated and still no phones and with spending 200.00 oh they said the waiving the activation fee which should have not been anyway because we are already verison customers we were getting four phones motoz3 and they said oh they are many deals we will keep you in mind I am so angry with this whole ordeal give us the phones now waive the activation fee to make up for and we will just pay our bill. I am hoping to find a better deal at Best Buy never had experience with Best Buy we brought our phones and activation port our numbers no problem go to Verizon and all you hear I am sorry nothing for your troubles.

Only got a one star because this program makes you. The staff is very rude and not helpful. Charged me a restocking fee of 35.00 and claimed he told me that when we bought the item which he did not.I will never return to this store.
My experience with this particular store has been consistently poor. Today I inquired about upgrading my phone. The salesman presented me with a very complex explanation of why the upgrade would cost more than originally advertised. When I asked further questions on the matter he became flustered and condescending. The priority was clearly to sell the upgrade fast before the customer did the math. I have had similar previous experiences at this store including one where the representative accidentally scratched the screen of my phone and insisted he did not. I would recommend going online or to another branch. Very poor customer service aimed at quick sales with no regard for the customer.
