The BEST Key Lime pie i ever had. We had the coconut key lime pie. I was just a little sad they dont ship pies. We wanted to ship some pie to my dad.The women who took my order was so nice, she told me the story how the store is now owed and operated by all the employees that work there. They have a great gift shop as well. This is a place you have to visit when in key west. You will not be disappointed.
Had a girls day trip down to the Keys and had to stop here for the best pie!! Adorable place inside and out. I tried the coconut keylime pie and original keylime. Both are to die for!! Couldnt have asked for anything better than to eat amazing pie with my best friend watching roosters cross the street 😍💚
Key West Key Lime Pies was abousletly the best Ive ever had, however the staff has ZERO personality. No greeting, no talking, just someone with a foreign accent that you cant understand.Poor selection of Pies. I would have liked to have gotten a whole pie but not receiving anything but the silent treatment I chose to go to their completion.
The ongoing pandemic has definitely taken a toll on a lot of businesses and public places since a consumers mindset to buy anything outside of essentials or to visit a public place like a park or beach, has crippled down significantly. Now by living with what has become the new normal, it is commendable on how these businesses and public places continue to remain open and cater to the general public by following the safety standards. It is now all the more important that we as customers, support these heroes during these dark hours to mankind.Something unique with Key West is every business’ obsession in owning the tag line “World famous” followed by their product, like the young boy Russell from the movie Up who is so obsessed of getting his final merit badge. Key Lime Bakery is no exception to that and is one which is totally eligible to own the tag line “World famous Key lime Pie”.Hands down they make the best key lime Pie (apparently the ones who found the recipe). Do a Yelp Chekin to get $1 discount on a piece of Key lime pie. The staff were friendly and they had a variety of eatable and touristy items other than the pies too. The pie was so good that we returned for a second time before we left the Keys.If you are visiting Keys, you must definitely checkout this place.
I love their key lime pies! On Dec 31 I tried a traditional one and the one with more filling... Delicious! The staff is really friendly. The only problem I had was with a Sweet Petes Candy Dark Chocolate Key Lime Pie that had expired in August and was in a bad condition... I couldnt see the date because the price tag was covering it...
This place was cool..the guy at the desk was helpful and gave us some info. We had to try the original so ..we got a slice of the key lime and coconut key lime. Well the coconut was frozen so he did give us a different kind. It was ok but the original key lime was for sure the best. Im not a huge pie fan but when in rome you know the saying. I also had a Kellie soda and got some key lime products. For sure worth a visit...it set the bar high for all the other key lime pies Im going to wreck while Im here.
The mans and I are on the hunt for our favorite key lime pie in Key West. This place was on a listical so we obliged. We had three categories to rate and our scores are as follows:Sweetness: 5/10Tartness: 7/10Crust: 5/10This was my favorite, as I liked the amount of tartness it had. The other two pies we tried were much more sweet and less tart. Kermit’s was hubs’ favorite so far.
Lady who sold me the pie was super nice! And the coconut cream pie is awesome!
Key lime pie by-the-slice is soooo good here! I also got some souvenirs and a couple of the rum soaked coconut cakes; staff was very friendly and helpful 😊
I got the extra tart key lime pie and I’m happy I did because it’s honestly my favorite I’ve had. The fresh whipped cream on top and the fact that it’s made fresh really makes if perfect. Staff was super efficient and friendly and I was glad to see them taking temperature checks and sanitation seriously.
Best key lime pie and coffee in Key West. Locally owned and operated. Met the proprietors when we stopped in. Genuine great people, great customer service. In a time of utter devastation for so many owner/operators, they went the extra mile to take care of their customers. If you are in the area please stop in and show some love to these wonderful people.
This is one of the many food shops around town, this one claiming to be the original. I had their ice cream and it was really good!! The homemade key lime and the Cuban coffee are my favorite! They also sell some things that are kinda highly priced (they sell the same key lime things all over). Worth checking out!Plus, its an active place for the famous Key West Chickens!
My wife and I visited from Maryland and they have the best key lime pie ever! Cashiers at the counter were super friendly and nice. I highly recommend them and we will definitely be back!
Lots of key lime products. Still wish the pie flavor was more intense/tart but I like stronger key lime so that is just me. It is good. Stop by every time in Key West for pie.
This update is from August 07. I used to said this was the best place to eat the key lime pie and I left my first review at the end. Unfortunately this time the pie was not fresh and it was totally frozen. I am so disappointed :-(. Now is like any other place that sells Key lime pie in the keys :-(——-This is my old review :-(This is the best Key Lime Pie that I have tried in my life!! You must try if you are visiting Key West!! Creamy, tasty, so delicious!! I can’t wait to go again and get some more!
The key lime pie was absolutely delicious! Tons of flavor. Best key lime pie Ive ever had.
Always been a fan of key lime pie. Ive heard the adage that It aint a key lime pie unless its from the Keys.Well, I finally got my first chance to put that to the test and, let me tell you, this pie almost made me cry it was so good. Hands down the best Ive ever had. I had one slice, went about my day, and decided to go back for a whole pie to take home. The employee at the counter noticed my military ID in my wallet and gave me a discount without me asking for one.
This is the absolute splendidly superb key lime pie heaven. All the heavenly best key lime pies come from here😋
Checked web site and seen they were open until 11. Good, drive to Mallory square fighting traffic and drunk pedestrians. Pay to park a city lot and walk to bakery. We got there at 9:04 only to be told by worker she was closing. No problem we bought 3 pies at your competitor on Front St.
Be aware of your charges. Walked out with water energy drinks, pie on a stick and a pound cake was charged 300. Owner came through after a couple of days and refunded the difference. Thank you for doing that. I know your busy, I would suggest having someone manage your phone line for improved customer service.
Born and Raised in Homestead just before Key Largo, so had to get my key lime pie on a stick dipped in chocolate. Also fun fact watched this episode, so had to go see the changes. Loved loved loved what yall did. Good Luck on your new partner ship and moving up.Hubby retired Navy so I had to show him my old stomping grounds of skipping school as a Sr.
Love this place got the best pie and coffee and all the staff and owner was was so friendly!! Left with the cutest souvenirs for my fam 😍
Not the best Key Lime pie in KW (my vote goes to Blue Heaven), but a d@mn good effort!
We had such a wonderful experience! We got to watch the ladies make chocolate dipped key lime treats while we enjoyed our DELICIOUS pie and coffee! I had the extra tart key lime pie! and my husband and toddler had the chocolate dipped key lime pie! The staff and place is so cheerful and happy! We loved it!! Highly recommend!
Ordered a pie to be delivered to my mother on 8/4/21. As of 8/12 nothing has shipped, emails arent answered and no one is answering the phone. If youre closed please let me know.Edit 8/16/21: After leaving the review and disputing the charge with PayPal the cake was suddenly shipped and arrived within 48 hours. There was a smaller cake included with a note apologizing for the delay. Still no email/phone contact. Upd the review from 1 star to 3 stars for finally delivering the cake.
Key lime pie was really good but it could be better. Nice place to have some coffee and a dessert
A very cute atmosphere with good pie! Loved that they offered a coconut key lime pie, which is something that none of the other shops in the area offer. We tried the classic key lime pie and the key lime cheesecake. The pie was very good, but not my favorite that I’ve tried in Key West. The cheesecake was okay. It just didn’t have the strong key lime flavor that I look for in key lime desserts. I probably wouldn’t get it again, but you may like it, so it is worth a try! Once again, the staff was very friendly and I would stop in again!
I wanted to try it after I watched the show on the profit!I loved the pie dipped in chocolate but not the regular pie!Staff are very friendly!
Along with regular key lime pie they offer gluten free key lime pie and gf freshly dipped chocolate covered key lime pie on a stick. The staff was nice and knowledgeable about gluten free. She did give me a heads up if you dont eat the gluten free pie it will start to melt in about 10 minutes. I ate the chocolate covered one right away and the slice the next day. It was good, but I liked the taste and balance of Kermits better. It is good though and great to have gf options to compare. My husband who is not gluten free also said it was good, but preferred Kermits.
Friendly staff. Great pie. What more do you need?
We arrived when the store was almost closing and the employee still let us order but she asked us to not dine in, which we understood. Since the Coconut Factory is the adjoining store, we selected some souvenirs for family and friends to purchase. The lady started yelling at me and my kids that she just mopped and why were we stepping on her floor. We decided to leave without buying any thing. Not the way to treat customers. It’s a shame this employee was not helping the store generate business and goodwill, but more concerned about closing up shop at the strike of the hour. I took my business across the street and purchased dessert for our group of 13 people.
Great real keylime pie made and sliced to order would recommend to go try
Horrible pie! Extremely sweet and left a metallic taste in my mouth. That place cannot be the authentic one...no way!
We had a plan to stay here for breakfast but the place is closed to dine-in, working for to go and for pic-up only.We ordered piece of traditional key lime pice of pie and cup of latte. They were not have milk for latte. Ok, we just took slice of pie for to go.But taste of pie was not so good and not fresh - it was frozen, we saw some ice on pie, and on taste it was soooo bitter. So, not my piece of cake.
Dont bother. This was the worst Key Lime Pie I have ever had. We decided to have a slice each day to taste the variety. We got the original Key Lime Pie here and it was so tart and overpowering, it tasted artificial. It was so strong that it burned my throat and made me cough. There has to be better Key Lime Pie in Key West. I would tell my friends to skip this place. Would not recommend. Go to Bagatelle and have yourself a slice of delicious pie.
I bought a whole key lime pie in this shop thinking it’s the best pie in Key West. I was very excited and told my daughter I bought it from the Key Lime Pie Bakery who claims to make the original Key Lime Pie recipe from Key West. But as soon as we cut and tasted that key lime pie, it was the worst key lime pie! I do not recommend it! It’s very tart and the crust tasted old and soggy. I have tasted key lime pies from Mrs. Mac’s Kitchen, Sloppy Joe’s and from another restaurant by Islamorada, they were all excellent that we wanted for more. So, I was very disappointed about the key lime pie I bought in this Key Lime Pie Bakery. Save your money and have a piece of key lime pie from the restaurants. Theirs taste a lot better! And as a baker myself, I truly say “NOT RECOMMENDED”
Cool shop, great key lime pie! Lots of other key lime flavored things available from candy to honey to salsa. Definitely a place youll want to check out when in Key West.
Great pies excellent service from the nice lady
6.5 for the key lime pie not the best one in key west and management is very nice.
Im not a big pie connoisseur but both my wife and I found it to be inedible tonite. It literally tasted like tin. Oh well. Maybe they just had a bad batch.
This place is amazing omg the pie is made with love and is soooo good I came all the way from Louisiana to get some
Tasty key lime pie on a hot day. Nothing like it
Amazing key lime pie, and a great selection of really great tasting hot sauces as well.
Delicious key lime pie and friendly service
Key lime pie on stick is so good and so is there Ruben iced coffee.
Absolutely the best coconut pie Ive ever eaten, my husband loved the key lime pie and my son loved the key lime cheesecake! This place is a must!
We tried both this and Kermit’s (which are both supposed to have some of the best key lime pies in the area), and found this place to have the tastiest one I have had anywhere. NOTE: We like the tangy zestiness of key lime pie, so we ordered the “extra tart” version and it did not disappoint!Only docking one star because it’s somewhat expensive (but that seems to be the case everywhere.)
Yep, this is the best Key Lime Pie in Key West. We tried 3 different prominent places around town today and this places pie was the most flavorful and about makes your cheeks pucker! Its a step above the competition!
We got original key lime pie (7/10 score, good but could be better) and key lime cheesecake (1/10, not good and don’t recommend). The shop is very cute and had other small items/gifts available. They were making fresh cakes when we came in.
I really hate that we had a bad experience here because I am a huge Marcus Lemonis fan! We walked into the store and there was no one in it except for 2 employees who were not friendly. They didn’t greet us, even when I was beaming with excitement. There was no music playing. I ordered fudge off the menu and the employee responded that they didn’t have fudge... I tried asking questions about what to order and she couldn’t answer those either. There was no soap in the restroom, although once I pointed that out, the other employee promptly refilled it. It just wasn’t what I expected at all and it wasn’t worth the drive to that key lime pie place when there are so many in the Keys with better service.
I choose the key lime cheesecake. It was delicious!! You buy a slice or whole cheesecake or pie.
Absolutley horrible! I bought a whole key lime pie on 4/10/21, the lady working there suggested I take a frozen one since we were driving back to marathon. We tried eating it once it was thawed and all 4 of us threw ours away after one bite! It tasted like rotted eggs! Ive tried a lot of key lime pies, and never had a bad one until now. I was honestly afraid we would get sick. Im wondering if they may have froze old pies to keep them from going bad. They waited too long on this one. What a waste of money!
Great pie and coffee and Ted took care of us
A little pricey but what isnt here. Very good!
Great pie. Super friendly lady working.
Definitely top 5 Key Lime pie slices I had down there. I wish I tried the extra tart! Their homemade whip cream is to die for! The texture of the key lime pie was excellent
Hands down my favorite key lime pie! I personally LOVE the original...husband LOVES the coconut key lime - you cant go wrong, theyre all delicious!
Will have to say it has the best key lime pie, I have eaten in the Florida Keys by far. Sampled over 20 pies in the last couple of years and half were nothing more than a frozen/melted GFS mess on a plate. The rest, I have no clue what recipe they used, or even if they had key limes in them.It is well worth a stop in, to grab a slice for $5.35 with the governors taking his slice of the pie for 36 cents or grab a whole pie for 22 dollars and governor does take a cut of your key lime pie.
